    [MOC] Hybrid Truck

Hello, It is my own Hybrid Truck creation, which is called hybrid because it combines standard LEGO elements with a DUPLO car base. It is built from my kids' sets, and I tried to combine these elements just for fun, but I was very satisfied with the result. It is a studless, conventional cab tractor with a car trailer for Speed Champions size cars, but other type of trailers could be used too. It can be combined with my other MOC "Hypercar concept 1". If you like this truck, please share and support the it on LEGO IDEAS: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/ae7ae4f3-18b3-48bc-a169-d3b3be8c6094 Many thanks! 2. Hi everyone, This is a new project I am/was working on. I build an trailer capable to load high objects. For now it’s finished but I am not that pleased with the looks. In Dutch it’s called a “Binnenlader” as far as I know in English it “Innerloader”. It’s used to transport high objects like prefabbed walls. Some transporters use this kind of trailer to have 2 loading floors (Double Deck Trailers). The bottom of the trailer is very low to the ground. The trailer can be loaded by crane but it is also possible to load a carrier that can be load- and unloaded by the trailer. The carrier can be separated from the trailer. This is done by lowering the trailer, open the tailgate, and drive forward leaving the carrier standing. by My model automatically opens and closes the back door when the trailer is moving down or upwards. Don’t think is done with a real trailer but I wanted to make it remote controlled with as less motors possible. I was able to only use 1 motor. Have a look at the video and photo's:. http://youtu.be/D-oJ6EqskxQ
  3. Youtube Link Under the command of Captain Jonathan Archer, the NX-01 crew answers an urgent distress call only to quickly find themselves deep over their heads on a planet without any land mass. A Pritchard Studios Production. For more information, and to follow the progress of the film, see here. For some time I've been developing the idea for a Star Trek fanfilm. It's finally to the stage where I have something to show off! While the teaser here is entirely CG, the film itself will be mostly stop-motion, with effects shots and scenes of the ship rendered in Blender.
  4. Hello Guys I would like to introduce my new MOC: Mack ANTHEM tractor with Lowboy-trailer LANDOLL 825A-EG. 5. Throughout 2017 I designed and built this massive 3000+ piece tractor trailer. This is by far my largest MOC and definitely my best work yet. This is not a recreation of any specific real life truck nor is it built to a set scale. Although the cab is mostly system bricks on the outside, the frame is largely Technic and the trailer is almost entirely Technic. Inspiration was drawn from Lego Technic 8285 and 42009 and Lego Creator 6753. I do have LDD files of both the truck and trailer. Feel free to leave a comment on what you think of my truck and any suggestions for improvement! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLowjdwrGcU For all photos: https://www.flickr.com/photos/162858504@N05/with/28224805797/

  7. Hello Over the past couple of months I have been enjoying building 42054 - what a great little set. Once I'd finished it, I wet about MODing the appearance somewhat, and have ended up with two different set-ups. Descriptions and photos below (hopefully the pics aren't too big, but apologies in advance to the mods if I've messed it up yet again...) Configuration 1 - 8-wheels with stock silage plough & cosmetic modifications Apart from the obvious addition of four extra wheels, I also modified the bodywork as follows: - Altered wheel hubs (apologies, I can't remember who did this white/red mod to the Claas wheels originally, think there's videos on Youtube but if that person is a member EB then thanks to you.) - More rounded fenders/mudguards, both front and back. - Exhaust with chrome parts and decals. - Windscreen wiper to deal with any flying 'muck' - see Configuration 2 below... - Chrome filler cap. - Additional spotlights at the front. - Slight change to roof detail including aerial/additional red hazard lights to rear. - Improved step ladder. - Additional warning decals at front. So, nothing very revolutionary or technically interesting, but I enjoyed making the changes and personally I think the mudguards look better than the stock versions. I did build the crane first but didn't like how bulky it was compared to the tractor, so I ended up with the stock 'B model' () silage plough. I took it outside for some photos: Configuration 2 - 4-wheels with slurry tank trailer & cosmetic modifications I then removed the plough and the extra wheels, and set about creating my first-ever MOC. I was inspired, first generally by the amazing work on 42054 of @BrickbyBrickTechnic, and secondly by one of these - single-axle slurry tank trailers: My tank includes: - Dual slurry pipes and sprayers, for the sprayin' of that muck. - Third wheel for stabilisation when disconnected from tractor (can be released by partly pulling out the axle with stop & red bush). - Custom decals. - Fake on/off switch for slurry pump. - Full set of hazard notices and warning lights, plus chains on the hitch. - Black cover can be easily slid back by removing a couple of securing axles. For when it's time to blast-clean the old muck, before re-filling with fresh muck. I absolutely acknowledge that my MOC is only an approximation of the above, rather than a replica (in particular, using the available spare pieces at my disposal, I wasn't able to recreate the cylindrical shape of the tank). It also doesn't use particularly great building techniques and hasn't got decent functions. However my aim was to create something for my Claas to tow that looked quite nice, and also to complete my first ever actual proper MOC (one previous failed attempt notwithstanding). By these criteria, I achieved something of which I'm happy. I'd love to hear your opinions, but I realise that it isn't up to much, so no worries if you don't have an opinion on any of this, one way or the other.... I also added some headlight effects, again influenced by @BrickbyBrickTechnic's past work on the Claas:

  10. Hey everyone, not a huge city builder, but thought I'd share a few small MOCs I gone and done: - minifig playable vintage Mini Cooper - old model Actros with long heavy haul trailer - good ol' backhoe I wanted a playable mini for my family minifigs, although in my quest for playability, fitting two minifigs in parallel and aesthetics, I made it a bit big, I will try out a 4 wide minifig version soon front rear front engine interior and functions I'm mainly a castle and space builder, but something needs to deliver all those castle wall stones and spacefaring engines! I tried ot make the front in the older Actros style, with engine playability and sleepability on the interior front interior with bed engine trailer hauling the Medieval Market Village And finally a simple backhoe to terraform the ground for the castle buildings and spaceports, for some reason I feel like the official Lego backhoes never get it quite right... front rear in action
  11. For my first brickfilm I decided to do a shot-for-shot recreation of the trailer for Kingsman: The Golden Circle, coming out this September. It's not the best video I've done, but I'm hoping to make higher-quality brickfilms in the future as I continue to practice animating. Any comments or criticism would be greatly appreciated.
  12. I like to present you my Lego town Steinbruck. The name is from Stein=brick & bruck(old German)=bridge. This is my current layout: My MOC and MOD buildings (more detail pictures in the albums; just click the pictures to get there): I'm planning a car wash for the Service Station and will build it in the next months. I also build digital, but can't afford all of them to build with bricks. Click to album.

    BATCAVE INVASION Trailer

The Joker (Lego Batman Movie Version) and his super villain squad invade Batman's Batcave. Batman must form his own super hero squad from members of the Justice League to help ward off the threat! The trailer for an upcoming stopmotion animation I've been working on for the past two and a half weeks. I finished the final cut at around 7-8 yesterday and whipped up this small preview. I will be releasing this on my studio's YouTube channel (the same one you are watching the trailer on) on the 18th (Tuesday) so be sure to subscribe so you don't miss it! Thanks for watching!
  14. As I'm sure that many of you have seen The Last Jedi Teaser today, I have a special announcement that AFOLs will love to hear about. Last Fall, I attempted to make a Lego Rogue One Trailer in just under two months, but fell quite short of finishing the trailer for the Star Wars Go Rogue Contest. Now that Star Wars has released a trailer with MUCH fewer shots (51 fewer to be exact) I will be going full force (get it) into remaking the teaser trailer from The Last Jedi. I have already knocked out two shots so far, and have started planning out different techniques to make others easier to complete. I should note that my style of Lego animation is fully CG through 3D animation, oh and I should mention all at 4K resolution I will post updates in this thread as more shots become complete in bunches. As for now, here is one of the two shots I completed today as well as some screenshots from my Rogue One trailer to give everyone an idea as to the quality that shots will be completed at.
  15. This is version two of set 8486 (Mack's Team Truck) 1950's style semi truck. The model can seat one mini figure at the wheel, and features headlights, license plate, and bigger wheels. I also rounded out the front of the trailer per suggestions from Eurobricks forum members @Only Sinner and @timtosino. Thanks guys! As it is now, the cab portion reminds me of the truck from the 1970s suspense movie "Duel". (if you haven't seen it, look it up: It's Steven Spielberg's first film and is awesome!) The trailer no longer has opening sides, but it does have two opening rear doors and folding stand for when the cab pulls away. Speaking of the cab, the roof of the driver's compartment comes off and both doors open. The driver of the truck. This truck is going to go on my mid-century trains and town layout, and should be built in real bricks eventually... at that time I will update this with real pictures. Here is the file for truck, trailer and driver: LDD file If anyone is curious what the version 1 truck looked like, here is a picture of it to compare to the new one. The older version is NOT in the LDD file!
  16. Hi there, after assembly 42043, I wanted to make a little copy. It turned out for me or not, it's up to you. Motorized functions. - Steering (Servo motor) - Driving and tilting of cargo bay (L motor) Manual switching functions "driving - tilting of cargo bay". When cargo bay is lifted, the side automatically opens. The cargo bay is mounted on a separate frame and fixed to six connectors to the truck chassis. So you can easily replace it with another element. The trailer is made similar to a truck. http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http:// http://

  19. Hi! Finally, I present to you my dump trailer for Claas Xerion 5000 Trac VC, which I've built quite a long time ago and teased you with in this topic. My intention was to model a really cool looking trailer Krampe HP30 - a 3 axle offroad heavy haul trailer, which goes perfectly to Claas Xerion 5000 set. I didn't actually scale it, but scetches/blueprints on the official site were of good use. As you can see on the photo below, I made a fake front cylinder, which unfortunately doesn't exist in LEGO Technic, so I had to cheat and used a pulley system to lift this huge red bathtub. String drum located on the front of the trailer is rotated by rear PTO of the tractor. I used the fantastic Efferman's motorized remake, but an OOB 42054 model could run it too. The trailer is steered as well - BUT! - Shamefully, I've realized 1st and 3rd axle should be steered and not 2nd and 3rd like I built it. And that happened just an hour ago while editing the video! Oh well, I will have to put more effort in research next time Somehow, I missed the video explaining the steering part on YT. Steering is modelled by levers and works according to the angle between the tractor and the trailer. The 3rd axle has larger steering angle than the 2nd. As you can imagine, it has some play in it... All three axles are suspended (normal springs for 1st and 2nd axle, hard springs for the 3rd.) - I borrowed and altered axle designs from MB Arocs set. Tailgate raises automatically and is locked when the dumper is lowered. Here are some details, to make the trailer more juicy . ...and the underbelly - for those eager Technic fans, who can't do without . For the end, here's one with a little breeze and a video of course. I hope you enjoy it! You can find more photos here. Partlist and instructions here. Thank you for your attention and constructive criticism! Best regards, Miha

IMG_9127 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr The trailer can load and unload the 6 pound Ferrari with a winch and a clever sliding mechanism that slowly lowers the car down. IMG_9096 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr The trailer can switch from the winch to the lowering mechanism with a single switch powered by 1 XL motor. IMG_9100 by lachlan cameron, on Flickr The side panels flip up to reveal the battery packs. The Inline6 is located just behind the cabin. I've got to say, this truck has curves never seen before in Technic Lego truck. 21. Update: Read Fourth Post!!! Since the second week of August, I have been extremely busy lately making something that is far more advanced than anything I have ever tried before, recreating the Rogue One trailer in Lego. I am doing this fully-CG and have been putting in every little detail into the shots. However, despite my great results, it is taking a very long time to do, and to get done in a good amount of time, I need to save some. That is where you guys come in! I am requesting help from Eurobricks members to recreate this trailer in Lego! What I would need is help creating assets for shots in LDD so that when it comes time to actually get the animation right, I can focus more on the shot composition rather than creating the Lego models, thereby helping me to finish this thing quicker. Everything other than Star Destroyers and the Death Star is minifigure-scale, EVERYTHING. This is something that I really want to maintain because one of the things that made The Lego Movie so great was that everything had the correct scaling and it helped set us into this enormous world of Lego. I would like to state that in my time here on Eurobricks, I have met the best builders in the world, and you guys are capable of making truly special things and of helping this thing getting complete. If you would like to work on assets for a shot, or multiple shots, please PM me and we can discuss what shot/what asset(s), etc. Be aware that this does not include minifigure prints, I am covering that myself for animation reasons, this will be for assets like tables, cliffs, buildings, ships, etc. I am thankful for anyone who helps me out with this, and you will be given credit for your work in the final video. Here are three decent-quality frames from what I have so far (The real thing is in 4K). There is a lot more done than this, but I don't want to give too much away before the trailer's release:

    [MOC] Truck trailer accident

A truck lost his trailer while making a turn to left. One car has been hit by the trailer but the driver is alright. Police was at the scene verry fast and closed the roads to the accident. The fire department arrived to clear the scene for the tow trucks. When the tow trucks arrived they started to clear the scene. The police is investigating how the accident happend. The accident just happend. The police is closing the roads. The fire department arrives at the scene. The scene is getting cleared. I hope you guys liked my MOC!
  23. Thanks to some new elements, I've built a small handy trailer for carrying extra cargo or gardening tools to be towed by that Mini Cooper!
