  1. This is the fourth animation in the series. My favorite. Mainly because of the rain, which I animated for the first time, as well as the general atmosphere and the story loosely referring to a famous scene from a movie. So if you're up for a swashbuckling adventure filled to the brim with humor, bantering pirates, and pirates being very piraty, then watch Being Pirates! If you like it, feel free to subscribe on youtube and you'll be notified when there's a new episode. Also let me know what you think! Hello There! The formidable Barracuda Bay got me out of my dark ages last march and reignited my Lego fever, especially for lego pirates. I'm new here, but actually many years ago I was a regular Eurobricks visitor, and it was great to discover this site is still up and well. Lockdown was also helpful in resurrecting an old hobby: making lego stop-motion films. I'm working hard on a pirate series called Being Pirates. Here's the trailer: The first episode is coming soon. If you like the trailer, consider subscribing. Thanks!
  5. Hey everyone! I'd love to share with you all a little lego movie I made with my friends a couple of months ago. We were extremely lucky to have Ryan George, from Pitch Meeting, want to be a part of it. He definitely knocked it out of the park! Would love to hear your feedback! Also, feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Enjoy!

  8. Hello Eurobricks, "The Blocky Guide to parenting / Internet-Research" is my english version of "Der kleine eckige Erziehungsratgeber / Recherche" - Brickfilm, with 2 awards at STEINEREI, german brickfilmfestival. "Best Animation" & "Best Voice Performance". To make it more enjoyable for non-german speakers i also wanted and made a english version - so have fun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3uqVWuPNvM ******** german original version: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3G9FSW-Wpf0&t=21s ******** a little look behind the scenes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7QxIK4j2sI ********* little story behind the clip: original-voices (german version) are from a radio-comedy. fortuitously i was listening to the episode "Recherche" and i could not believe my ears, hearing them talking about LEGO, "LEGO-Films" and that in combination with german poet "Goethe" and brickfilms with his poems. I made such brickfilms and called the producer for research in the product and my remix-idea. We both had a lough - and sure they had seen some of my animated clips and wrote that episode. I asked for permission to make it a "lego-Film" again and here we are. 3 years later - because the project was sleeping in my head a long time. planed that with minifigs first, but made it different, as it was also a long dream having some kind of brick-based Stop-Motion-Puppets. They are based somehow on the LEGO 31019 (Monkey) - a set i really liked and used for animation in clips before. But you know - it´s descended from the apes Have fun, Steffen

  10. Hi Eurobricks and swashbucklers. I haven't posted much of my own making in recent years, simply because well.. let's just say I'm a bit lazy. Sorry! Back in 2015-2016 when I was 15 -16 years old (I know, easy to remember) I started messing around a bit with a custom built ship and No. 6721 "Imperial Flagship" (which was one of the last second hand set I bought). It was also at that time I discovered the Aubrey-Maturin novels, and began devouring them in a way you don't expect from someone my age. I also found out a movie adaption was made, containing various elements from the novels. I watched it, and again, and again, and I became a bit obsessed with the story and historical accuracy. And I was (and still am) a lego fan. So 1+1 is 2, ey? I grabbed a green robe and tried recreating a scene! Thanks to a friend who helped me with final cut pro and my mother for sewing the sails, I am very glad I can present to you a movie I should've released three years ago! Here's something I had much fun working on, with vague images, laughable special effects and the occasional video thrown in. Please enjoy. I hope I inspire someone to make a perfect version of this. Kind regards, Captain Edward, or on youtube: Jiskpirate P.S. Be sure to check out my older animations on my channel, with some being reasonably successful, although not too good. For me, my channel is one big plaza of nostalgia.

  13. Youtube Link Under the command of Captain Jonathan Archer, the NX-01 crew answers an urgent distress call only to quickly find themselves deep over their heads on a planet without any land mass. A Pritchard Studios Production. For more information, and to follow the progress of the film, see here. For some time I've been developing the idea for a Star Trek fanfilm. It's finally to the stage where I have something to show off! While the teaser here is entirely CG, the film itself will be mostly stop-motion, with effects shots and scenes of the ship rendered in Blender.

  20. Just realized I haven't posted a film here in a while. Might as well change that! A Stormtrooper gets into a little trouble... My first attempt at melding live action and stop-motion animation. It was made for a compilation of funny videos that had a tight deadline, and so is a bit rushed. However, I hope you enjoy it anyway.
