I like the late-1930s car from 2015 San Diego Comic Con set 'Action Comics 1 - Superman', but didn't particularly care for the garish colors of green and yellow - or the insane price! So I used the instructions and built my own normal version in dark blue, then this black one with XS Big Ben Bricks train wheels instead of rubber tires as a railroad inspection vehicle. This rail mobile has a number of changes from the set, but it still seats one figure at the wheel. Speaking of which: the person in the picture is a division superintendent, and he is wearing green in tribute to the original colors of the SDCC set that inspired this MOC. The rear of the rail mobile. (apologies for the dust - I just built this two days ago!) Inside the vehicle, featuring the drivers seat. Thoughts?

For the past few months I’ve been working on a LEGO modular Daily Planet in my spare time, and I wanted to share it with everyone here. This is also my first "real" post (I only recently joined) so it's highly probable I'm gonna screw this up because, well, I'm an idiot. Please be gentle, and if this is the wrong place I do apologize. I host the images on my own site because I'm given to understand that Eurobricks doesn't host images, so I hope I've done that correctly as well. Anyway, on to the model. It has 4 floors plus an accessible roof, and currently consists of 5,894 LEGO pieces. At the outset I started tracking my time and it also represents about 325 hours of work all done in Bricklink Studio. When I got the idea, I formulated a list of some things I wanted it to have: Large globe on top The “stairstep” look from the comics The lobby globe like was shown in the 1978 movie Face-to-face desks in the “bullpen” for Lois and Clark. Lois’ desk would be a big ol’ mess with a hairbrush, food, and crumpled papers next to the waste basket, while Clark’s desk is neat as a pin. Because we’re big Smallville fans and so many fun moments took place there, the model also features roof access where Lois can go to smoke or take a ride with Big Blue, and includes the roof access structure where Clark (finally) took flight in the finale of Smallville. A copy machine/room Break room Janitor closet for Clark to change in Perry White’s office Desk for Jimmy Office details like water coolers A store room with boxes of papers You can probably see that I've iterated the outside colors, and very significantly changed the uppermost floor to no longer have windows but rather a large clock. The reason was two-fold; first I thought it looked kind of cool that way, and I wanted to motorize the large globe on top to turn (and have a Superman minifigure flying around it. And just for fun, I couldn't resist photoshopping Superman into one of the renders. So there you have it. I make updates to the model fairly frequently and will make updates here if there's interest. Here's a few more images:

Let me start by saying that the idea for this project came quite by accident, I looked through my drawer with printed bricks and noticed a brick 1x1 with printed eyelets. I have a handful of them and I started to put my hair, caps, etc. on them. I found them very funny and made me play with them positively. I've been working on them for the past few weeks. Unfortunately nobody has responded to my original German-speaking question in another (German) Lego forum. I try it here: Hello Although I myself have quite a lot of nerdiness to me, technical interests and hobbies, a certain film genre and hobbies that a "serious" adult should not have (?), I can start with the whole superhelden area, the starwarsfilms and also similar series little. Somehow I find the stories boring, very simplistic, humorless, politically far too correct and often too simple knit. Therefore, my question to the older fans (older in the sense of: Having a family of their own, have already participated in the professional life for a long time, the first destiny and crises have brought about, interested in "real" social / political issues - not only image newspaper and Facebook ...): What fascinates you at the superheldenstory, whether film, serial or comic? What is so special for you on Star Wars and similar film series? (No, I'm not interested in why Star Wars is better than Enterprise Enterprise, Battlestar Galactica, or is not). Signature: My nickname which I use in that forum. This text I have automatically translated with the Google translator. Lapidem

Hi guys! I don't normally collect Juniors set but I did pick up the most recent DC ones for the minifigures and parts. After fiddling around with the main builds of each set I came up with these Batboat- Lex's warsuit- Tell me what you think! Constructive critism is always welcome

The Batmobile from Batman v Superman is perhaps my favourite Batmobile design to date. I decided to build a UCS scale version and make it as authentic to the prop car as possible. The cockpit struts and roof panels were inspired by KKB-N7's excellent LDD rendition. Features include detailed interior, rolling wheels, and rotating front turret. More photos on flickr.

The Joker (Lego Batman Movie Version) and his super villain squad invade Batman's Batcave. Batman must form his own super hero squad from members of the Justice League to help ward off the threat! The trailer for an upcoming stopmotion animation I've been working on for the past two and a half weeks. I finished the final cut at around 7-8 yesterday and whipped up this small preview. I will be releasing this on my studio's YouTube channel (the same one you are watching the trailer on) on the 18th (Tuesday) so be sure to subscribe so you don't miss it! Thanks for watching!

In this post I'm going to share an Imaginary lot of a year's worth of Lego DC sets. January Our year starts off with 4 sets Batcave Intruder 1 by Bismuth83, on Flickr This is our first set 2410#01 - Batcave Intruder and this set portrays a section of the Batcave. It's composed of ?? parts and has 3 minifigures: Alfred Pennyworth, Batman and The Cavalier. The build has a bat computer, a snack table, a rocky pillar that serves as a bat nest, a bat crime map, tool station and chair. You may have noticed that one of the bats is green, green animals are one of 2 easter eggs that feature in every minifig scale set, the other being Riddler trophies hidden in the builds. I envisioned this set as retailing for around £18 Supersons in the Lex-Corp Lab 1 by Bismuth83, on Flickr The Second set for January is set 2410#02 - Supersons in the Lex-Corp Lab, this set has 758 parts and includes 4 minifigures: Superboy(Jon Kent), Robin( Damien Wayne), Lex Luthor and Mercy Graves as well as 4 Lex-bots. There is a mech for Lex as well as the lab, and the lab also has some alternate arm attachments for the mech. you can free the green rabbit (the green animals are meant to represent Beast Boy transformed). I did try to sneak a play feature in here where you can collapse the pillars to hit Lex's mech with the lamps on top of the pillars. the lab also has Lex's kryptonite experiments. In my head this would retail for about £45 Oa Assault 1 by Bismuth83, on Flickr Our third set is the biggest of the January wave and is a Green Lantern set 2410#03 Oa Assualt with 1467 pieces and 10 minifigures: Guy Gardener, Sinestro, Tomar Re & 7 Guardians of the universe. there are also 7 brick built characters: Arkillo, Zilius Zox, Flayt, Larvox, Galius Zed, B'ox, Chaselon and then another 6 characters: Beast Boy as a spider, Baby Thanos as a green lantern, B'dg, Ch'p, Leezle Pon (represented by a round 1*1 tile acting as a slide under a microscope) and Dkrtzy RRR (who is represented by calculator). On top of all that there are also 2 monstrous yellow lantern constructs. As for the Oa stuff there are 5 main builds: A science cell, a med bay, The Forge, the Guardians council and a vault ( which houses the Book of Oa as well as a red Lantern Ring, Larfleeze's orange lantern, an Indigo Tribe staff, Mxy's hat, the Spider Guild's yellow fear crystal and a Riddler trophy), there are also 2 smaller builds, those being a training area and a control centre. I imagine this would retail for around £90 Legions of light 1 by Bismuth83, on Flickr Our final January set is a bit of an army builder type set though not for one army but for several; This is set 2410#04 Legions of light. It is made of 230 parts and my aim was represent all the main lantern corps. No sorrow, death, life or ultraviolet lanterns just the main emotional spectrum lanterns. This set has 4 minifigures: Saint Walker, Star Sapphire(Carol Ferris), Larfleeze and Indigo One, the remaining included corps are represented by 3 brick built characters: Atrocitus, Olapet and The New Paradigm Dalek Eternal (who isn't a Sinestro lantern from DC but I liked the idea, and Dalek's defintrly inspire fear) it also includes Beast Boy as a Rannian lizard-bird. The rest of the build is meant to be the Oan central power battery, though it seems the yellow impurity has been replaced with a Riddler trophy impurity. This set I see as priced at £24 February Now there's not gonna be sets for every month of the year, I wouldn't want that, nor would be realistic. so there are no regular retail sets for February. However I did decide to make a few GWPs as well, so for February I've made a valentines day themed one. DC Valentines promo by Bismuth83, on Flickr Set 2410#S1 Ivy and Harley, it's inspired by their looks from the Harley Quinn show and is made out of 147 lego bricks. To be honest I'm not 100% happy with how it came out but you get the idea. This could even be a series with different DC couples built as miniland figures on the same base. If I do a follow up I could do Superman and Lois or Big Barda and Scott Free or something? Anyway this promo set has parts and would be a gift with purchase between the 10th and 20th of February on all purchases over £45. March March is also a sparse month for sets. But there's yet another promo and a polybag. DC GWP Streaky by Bismuth83, on Flickr Here is the GWP, it's 2410#S2 Streaky the Supercat. Like the valentines one he's on a 10*10 octagonal base, but unlike that one he's made of 126 parts. He's available with any DC purchase between March 10th and July 20th and then again between September 1st and October 14th. Cat fight polybag by Bismuth83, on Flickr And we also have our first polybag set 2410#P1 Klarion's cat fight. The witch boy has decided he needs to prove that his familiar Teekl is superior to all other cats. So he kidnaps some cats amf traps them in a fighting ring, with a nuclear bomb to dissuade any would-be cat rescuers. There one minifig, that being Klarion and 5 Cats included. the cats are Teekl (Dark Orange), Streaky (Orange), Dex-Starr of the red Lanterns (Red), Beast boy as a cat (Green) and Catwoman's cat Isis (Black). In terms of part count this one has the lowest yet at 20. Yes there is a Riddler trophy in the bomb. As this how I see this distributed, I haven't really decided because polybags are so inconsistent and variable, sometimes they're on magazines, others times GWPs, and sometimes they're sold normally. April Now April would be an empty month but because of April fools I decide to make a couple of joke sets. Mara Jade Marries the Demolition Dummy 3 by Bismuth83, on Flickr This is set 2410#F1 Mara Jade marries the Demolition Dummy. This year's DC thread hasn't been the most serious or on topic and at one point there was rift growing between two pseudo-religious groups : the Worshipers of the church of Mara Jade & the disciples of DD. In days of yore rival houses were oft united in marriage to consolidate power, so I thought it would be funny to depict a marriage between Mara and the Dummy. of course the DC discussion has now moved on from this and now with a 2025 superman set leaked it looks like it might be used actually discuss dc Lego sets, which is odd. Anyway the wedding is being held inside a walled garden and is designed to fit with the DC ComiCity subtheme (which will appear in upcoming months), the wedding guest might seem familiar to the users of the 2024 Dc Thread. (though some of their looks are a bit outdated now...…). Its got a part count of 726. and it would only be sold in April, for the price of 20ml of blood obtained from a badger who died of a heart attack during a full moon. DC GWP Vemonised Streaky by Bismuth83, on Flickr And now here is a joke that doesn't a paragraph of explanation. It's set 2410#F2 Vemonised Streaky. Just a vemonised version of the earlier streaky GWP. Free with any purchase made on April fools day. May Metron V Superman 1 by Bismuth83, on Flickr May finally gives us some more regular sets starting with set 2410#05 Superman V Metron. Superman wants to borrow Metron's Mobius chair (to help him find all the Riddler trophies), Metron says he can only borrow it if he finds all the Riddler trophies. 2 minifigs and 62 bricks, this would be a regular retail set for £8 Scarecrow's Fear Factory 1 by Bismuth83, on Flickr In set 2410#06 Scarecrow's Fear Factory you'll find that the super villain Scarecrow has teamed up with the villainous Sinestro corps to create a horrible device that can turn people into a potent fear gas. This set comes with 4 minifigures: Scarecrow, Lyssa Drak, Green Lantern Batman and Detective chimp. It would retail for £18 and is made of 232 bricks. Now is time for the new Subtheme!! DC ComiCity. The idea is that these are almost DC modulars, but an important distinction is that these have the size of a regular module as 16*16 rather than 32*32. They are also open backed to allow better access to the interiors whilst still looking complete when viewed from the front. the idea of making the buildings smaller means the series is more accessible and it's easier to build a big city. there will also be half sized modules that are only 8 studs wide. Obviously interior space is quite limited so I'm afraid there's no stairs, perhaps they were in the missing backs of the buildings. CC Jitters 1 by Bismuth83, on Flickr Set 2410#07 CC Jitters Superhero Cafe is one of these half-sized modules. It has 404 bricks and I see it retailing for £40, it has 6 minifigures: The Flash, Green Arrow, Icon, Copperhead, Iris West and Felicity Smoak. Taking apart the layers reveal that Copperhead is trying to blow up the building! You can place the figs in the seats, there's even a removable wall to allow Felicity to pull her wheelchair up to a table. ( There's also an additional 4 bricks that aren't pictured that allows the cup on the sign to stick out slightly further to make it more compatible with other DC ComiCity sets. Secert and Harm 1 by Bismuth83, on Flickr Another smaller entry in the ComiCity series is Set 2410#08 Secret and Harm. This 745 piece set is heavily based on the Young Justice episode "Secrets" (S1e18),it includes 4 Minifigs: Artemis, Zatana, Harm and Secret. Unlike most of the other ComiCity sets it doesn't have removable floors, because the building is quite shallow so you can access everything without them. You can break the top off the tree off to get into the door and if you remove some panels you can find a Riddler trophy buried inside Secret's grave. This set would retail for £50. Central City Corner 1 by Bismuth83, on Flickr This is a bigger one! A D2C set even, Set 2410#09 Central City Corner. It features several buildings and can be separated into 4 modules. Included we have: the Flash Museum, a Lex-Corp Tech shop, a Mirror shop, a Big Belly Burger Fast Food Restaurant, a Public toilet with baby change facilities, a river crossing with a fishmonger's market stand and a guest room inspired by the legendary Emarald eye of Ekron. This is a behemoth of a set with 4419 parts and 20 minifigs (plus an additional 4 built into the flash museum displays) these figures are: The Flash, the Reverse Flash, The Mirror Master, Captain Cold, Batman, The Emerald Empress, Casual Beast Boy, Casual Starfire, Guesthouse receptionist, Fishmonger, 3 Lex-Corp employees, 2 Big Belly Burger workers, the Flash Museum Curator, 2 adult citizens, 2 child citizens (and the 4 in the museum displays are 2 flash suits, the Turtleman and Zoom (who is wearing a black CW inspires suit as that's more interesting to me that Hunter Zoloman basically stealing Eobard Thawne's suit). this set would set you back a whopping £220 Central City Corner 2 by Bismuth83, on Flickr The corner module houses the mirror store, Lex-Corp shop and Big belly burger, with 2 side alleyways. the first floor of the big belly burger restaurant features a small kitchen as well as additional customer seating, which continues into the rooftop of the mirror store which is also where you'll find the public toilet. above the Lex-Corp shop is a stock room. The lex-corp shop's fixtures match those found in the supersons set to lend the created world a sense consistency. The Flash museum module is 24 studs wide and features aground floor a gift shop, help desk and a display area for 2 flash suits and some of the rouges captured tech. Upstairs you can find the cosmic treadmill as well as some more displays including Barry's flash ring, Jay's helmet, and mannequins wearing the suits of Zoom and the Turtle man. On the roof of the flash museum you'll find a roof top garden. A separate 8 wide section is where you'll find the guesthouse of Ekron, the ground floor is the receptionist desk and reception area, the first floor is the a guest room (The Empress suite?), then above that we have a balcony overlook on the roof. The river crossing area has the bridge, an overgrown bank, captain cold's ice pillar, and the fishmonger's market stall. Central City Corner 4 by Bismuth83, on Flickr Central City Corner 3 by Bismuth83, on Flickr June June would not see any new releases... July July would also not see any new releases... August August bring us a themed wave and would have a tie-in netflix special about the heroes trying to stop Black Manta from becoming the new god of the sea. Wonderboat V Manta troop sub 1 by Bismuth83, on Flickr This is set 2410#10 The Wonder Boat versus the Manta troop transport. It's a £45 582 part set with 3 builds: the Wonderboat, a sub for Black Manta's Navy and a bit of underwater Atlantis scenery with a Triton statue. The 5 included minifigs are Wonder Woman, Wondergirl (Yara Flor), Wondergirl( Cassie Sandsmark) & 2 Manta troops. both vehicles feature attachment points to connect the manta fleet wings and tail from set 2410#13. Attack on Atlantis 2 by Bismuth83, on Flickr Our next set is set 2410#11 Attack on Atlantis and features a diorama of the Atlantean zeta tube with a play feature to allow Aquaman and Ocean master to swim around in circles and chase each other. Also included is a sub for robin and 8 minifigures (not including the statues of Athena and Poseidon). The figs are Aquaman, Ocean master, Robin (Damien Wayne), Miss Martian (with swappable legs or mermaid tail), Nanaue/King Shark, Topo & 2 Manta Troops. It's a 842 part set that I see as retailing for £60 Manta steals the Bug by Bismuth83, on Flickr Following on from that we have set 2410#12 Black Manta steals the Bug. Teen Heroes are here to take back the Bug from Black manta who plans to turn it into his diving beetle.(which you can do by combing it with set 2410#13). The Bug does have an interior that you can reach with opening access panels (but its kind of hard to see in the renders), there is a captain's chair and 2 co-pilot stations, a prison, an airlock with ramp, and tool storage area as well as some standing room. It has 1069 parts and 8 minifings and would retail for £80. the 8 minifigs are Black Manta, 2 Black Manta troops, Garth, Kaldur, Lagaan and Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes). Ted Kord might seem like an obvious omission but I did make complementary set inspired by JL international (a comic that I love, it's quite nostalgic for me after getting out it's omnibus from the library as a kid and having it as one of my favourites that I read). However, I replaced the set in this 'year' with the Gotham backstreets (2410#1) one as I felt it needed work but that one was ready already. Manta Cruiser 1 by Bismuth83, on Flickr Moving on we have Black Manta's flagship set 2410#13 Black Manta Cruiser. It's a 789 piece set that would retail for £80 and would include 9 minifigs: Black Manta, Kaldur (Manta Team double Agent), 2 manta troops, Lori Lamaris, Superboy (Conner Kent), Supergirl (Linda Lee Danvers), Martian Manhunter ( like Miss Martian he has a shapeshifted mermaid tail but also includes regular legs) & a civilian diver. The ship has doors for the troops to deploy from, weapon clips, and access panels. A big thing with this set is you can remove the wings and tail form the sub and put them onto other sets from this wave to make them into their manta mode). The wings can also angle upward to go into diving mode. DC Atlantis expansion pack by Bismuth83, on Flickr Our next set is a blister pack and it's 2410#P2 Atlantis expansion pack, with parts and 4 minifigs (plus Lobster Beastboy). The the build is an underwater scene with an overgrown and broken statue of Hebe. the 4 minifigs are Scuba Batman, Dolphin and 2 Manta troops. £12 for 96 parts. There would also be a service pack released in august that would be a bundle of parts from pick a brick, those being the ones to build extra manta mode wings and a tail (maybe black paint so the other builds can fit his colourscheme (Kidding or am I?). In the spoiler bracket below are some looks as the Manta mode versions of The Bug, The Wonderboat and Manta^2 version of the Manta Troop carrier. September September gives me the opportunity to do the Advent calendar! It's a bit bigger than the current ones but not by a huge degree. DC Advent Calender 2 by Bismuth83, on Flickr Set 2410#14 DC Advent Calender- Now lets through the gifts for each day. Day 1- Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes), Day 2- mini 'The Bug', Day 3- Fate's Helmet on a plinth, Day 4-The Riddler, Day 5- Riddle Whirlybird part 1, Day 6- Riddle Whirlybird part 2, Day 7- Starro The conquerer, Day 8- Wonder Woman, Day 9- Joker trading Dummy, Day 10- Santa Batman, Day 11- Manta Scuba Jet part 1, Day 12- Manta scuba Jet part 2, Day 13- Manta Troop, Day 14 Christmas Tree, Day 15- Ring Painting Station, Day 16- Sinestro, Day 17- Throne and Crown, Day 18- the Joker, Day 19- Amazo part 1, Day 20- Amazo part 2, Day 21- Justice league themed presents, Day 22- fireplace with Kyle and Sinestro's Stockings, Day 23- Reindeer Beastboy, Day 24 Christmas Kyle Rayner (Secret bonus non-santa torso for Kyle hidden inside the box when you break it up to recycle it) 444 bricks £40 October As for October sets, we have no October sets. I did consider making a Halloween Gwp but no inspiration struck me and there plenty of sets without it.... Moving Swiftly on November Task force X are up against the Joker! Tech genius Punchline has hacked Amanda Waller's Facebook account and set her status to STINKY so she's sent to suicide squad to find her to get her to fix her Facebook account. (I think that's how Facebook works? I haven't used it regularly since my teens). Anyway Punchline is working with Joker so that's where the suicide squad goes looking. The squad is a new line-up (but all bar 1 have been on the squad in some shape or other IIRC) That line up consists of: Rick Flag Jnr, Katana, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Black-Spider, Ambush Bug, Red Arrow, Killer Croc & Blackfire. Taskforce X V the Jo-Car by Bismuth83, on Flickr Here we have set 2410#15 Taskforce X versus the Jo-Car. Taskforce X have a chinook and Joker has his joker-mobile (I renamed it the Jo-Car as that's a funnier name). Both can seat a decent number of people. it's a 662 part set and includes figs of Amanda Waller(She wouldn't really go on many missions but a suicide squad wave would be incomplete without her.), Joker, Black-Spider, Deadshot, Red Arrow & Blackfire. Punchline Pursuit 3 by Bismuth83, on Flickr Set 2410#16 Punchline Pursuit is our next one. It includes a flier for punchline, 2 Taskforce X dinghies as well Robin riding a giant eagle beast boy (He noticed suspicious activity and asked Gar to help him investigate). it's a £25 set with 316 parts and 6 minifigs: Punchline, Harley Quinn, Katanna, Ambush Bug, Rick Flag Jnr & Robin (Damien Wayne). Paintball Pandemonium Joker Goon BP 1 by Bismuth83, on Flickr The final Taskforce X set is set 2410#17 Paintball Pandemonium; Joker Goon BP. and as the BP suggests its a joker goon battle pack. While looking for joker's gang Killer Croc was invited by Joker's henchmen to play paintball with them, beastboy and thier good friend who is a paintballing robot. The set includes a taskforce X ATV and 2 Joker-Jetskis (which completes a nice little triangle these task force X sets have, where one team has a air/land/water vehicle while the other has one of the other 2 types of vehicles. And the water vehicles some in pairs but that's not part of the triangle), there's also a small island and some spare weapons and accessories. it's got 306 parts and would set you back £18. Gotham Back Streets 1 by Bismuth83, on Flickr There's one more November set, but it's not another Taskforce X V the Joker's gang set. It's the second ComiCity D2C. set 2410#18 Gotham City Backstreets. It has 3 building modules: Artemis's Hideout, Pyg's Butcher's shop & Leslie Thompkin's house. The ground floor of Artemis' hideout has a hidden Zeta tube. the first floor is the actual hideout and has an archery range and a fold-out bed. The roof also exists. Pyg's Butcher shop has the butcher shop and meat chiller on the ground floor, and on the first floor is a restroom with towel toilet and sink as well as Pyg's bed room and a surgery tale for his victims. this building also has a nice roof (It's also the tallest ComiCity building but that's just due to the antennae, if we ignore that then the Ekron Guesthouse is the tallest so far). The final building in this set has Leslie's living room on the groundfloor, and on the next floor up we have her kitchen an bedroom (with emergency stretcher) and unlike the other 2 this building has attic floor before the roof which is an indoor garden where Doc Thompkins is trying to grow and antidote to scarecrow's fear gas from set 2410#06 with the slightly reluctant help of Poison Ivy. And of course have another roof on top, I don't really have much to say about the roofs. Gotham Back Streets 2 by Bismuth83, on Flickr It's made from 2775 bricks and has a full compliment of 14 figures, these figures are as follows: Chesire (Jade Nguyen), Artemis (Artemis Crook), Professor Pyg (Lazlo Valentine), Nightwing (Dick Grayson), Red Robin (Tim Drake), Poison Ivy (Pamela Isley), Orphan (Cassandra Cain), Raven, Doctor Leslie Thompkins, Deadshot and 4 Gothamites. Gotham Back Streets 6 by Bismuth83, on Flickr December The December sets are sets that really should probably just January year 2 sets, but don't worry I made one of them Christmas themed so now they work for December! Cyborg mech 1 by Bismuth83, on Flickr This final wave of the year is Teen Titans Themed and to start it off here's set 2410#19 Cyborg Mech. It's a mech for Cyborg, but there's also a safe for Gizmo to steal. As a fun way to include the obligatory green animal I have the sword shark Beastboy serving as the mech's melee weapon. The set has 2 minifigs: Cyborg and Gizmo. It has 189 parts and be sold at the price of £15. Sins of the Father 1 by Bismuth83, on Flickr This next set might be the least impressive, the giant minifig design for Trigon is just a modified version of Antman for the civil war set, and trigon looks a bit dull with face printing ( sorry no custom prints on any of these, that's not in my skillset ATM, but this set is the one where it would have really have a bit impact on the look of the set). It's called set 2410#20 Sins of the father, it has 302 pieces and 3 minifigs: Raven, Starfire and Beast Boy. If it was real set they were actually selling, they'd be selling it for £25, unless it was dicounted then it'd be like £20. Slade Steals Christmas 1 by Bismuth83, on Flickr Our final set for this post is set 2410#21 The Night Slade Stole Christmas. It's also another ComiCity set, it depicts a distribution/shipping yard, with container's of Christmas presents which Slade/Deathstroke is stealing with the help of his Protégé Robin... wait no Robin quit... Terra is helping him instead, Robin is here too but to the opposite of helping Slade. The set includes 7 minifigs, namely: Deathstroke/Slade, Terra, Robin, Raven, Kid Flash (Wally West), Wondergirl (Donna Troy), & a security guard. This set has 911 parts and would retail for £65 (the chirstmas presents have a lot of small 181 parts that inflate the part count) Finne~ QandA Q - Can these be build IRL? A - Likely not in these colours exactly, LDD Extended doesn't have a way of making sure that parts exist in that colour, technically I could look up the part numbers on brickset and manually check the available colours for each part (This is something I have done before, foee contests where it's a requirement)but that wasn't something I was interested in doing this time as I have no plans to build any of these IRL (whereas I do have some other digital MOCs I plan on translating into real life). As for stability I do believe they're all stable but I could have missed some points of weakness, that is something you can't really check easily on LDD. Q - Some of these renders are rather blurry, what's up with that? A - I had set them to render in HD but something went wrong, I do need to update java so that might be part of it. I didn't notice till I was 90% through this post and I'd really like to post it without accidentally deleting it of something. But if I get the problem sorted I'll see if i can update this post with some nice new renders. Q - Can I have the LDD file? A - Sure? If you want me to send you any or all of them then just PM me with an email address to send it too. Q - What's your favourite colour? A - Not really a relevant question but it's green. Q - You've called this 'year 1', does that mean a 'year 2' is coming? A - Maybe, I won't guarantee it but I do have some WIPs and ideas, even if I don't do another year I'll definitely publish some more ComiCity sets... Eventually.. Q - Where's Killowog (Or any other character who feels like they've been missed from a set that should've included them.)? A - Possibly I forgot about them or they were intend to be in a complementary set idea for a future wishlist wave/ year. Killowog for example was gonna be in a GLtAs inspired spaceship set and Ted Kord was going to be in a JLI inspired ComiCity set. Q - What are these versions of things based on? A - they aren't based on any one specific version some are inspired more by one thing, others another. The idea was that these would all be sort of TLG's own interpretations of the characters, locations and vehicles rather than set based on any specific source material. Of course I suppose they're my interpretations not TLGs... but hypothetically if these were real that's what they'd be, that's the whole idea. Q - What the megablocks made you make set 2410#F1? It scares me. A - No Comment. But know that I am sober always. Q - Why are you making up questions and then answering them? A - it's 4:30 am. I should probably go to bed. Q - What software did you use? A - LDD to build in, Bluerender to render ( thank you @msx80 ) Here are some bonus pictures of all the ComiCity Modules connected! All ComiCity sets combined 2 by Bismuth83, on Flickr All ComiCity sets combined 1 by Bismuth83, on Flickr And Finally Here's set 2410#F1, after DD and Mara married, BrickBob Studpants officates another wedding, this time it is the Marriage of Dedra Meero and THELEGOBATMAN Alterative Wedding by Bismuth83, on Flickr FINNE~ (AGAIN) Edit - Updated to take out a few typos, add extra angles of most sets in spoiler brackets and add pictures of 2 sets I accidently left out the pictures for. Will probably update again with some fresh new renders for the overly low quality renders (now that I've updated Java bluerender is working brilliantly once more ).

Just something fun I whipped up today. I'd had the notion for a while, I was just waiting for the right head to come along. Thank you HP CMF Series 2 Dumbledore! :) The maestro... And posing with some of his most famous musical inspirations... One could perhaps wish for a better black tuxedo jacket with black bow tie. (If I weren't hoping to keep it "purist," Citizen Brick makes a decent one.) But this fits the bill!

Here`s "The Battle Of Smallville" set which has some cool figures, which I got second hand for £27 (still in it`s box, which was pretty beat up).The jeep had two blue flick fire missiles, so I built a radar controlled gun thingie instead and added some bits to the Kryptonian drop ship...sorry for the fuzzy camera work!... I`ve been looking for this set for a while now, because to be honest ,the current run of DC/Marvel sets hasn`t been great in terms of content or value(of course that's only my opinion). So I find myself on Ebay looking at older stuff and recently also got the Captain America "Avenging Cycle" set (no box or stickers, which is o.k. cos I detest stickers ) for less than a fiver. Wonder if anyone else is feeling the same about Lego`s recent offerings Take care folks Kenny 20171119_084855 by kenny burns, on Flickr 20171119_085040-1-1 by kenny burns, on Flickr

I've been working on this for a long time. I really wanted to test my limits, and used a lot more green screen and tracking shots than I normally do. I hope you like the end product!

Yep,the Guys in Billund decided it would be a good Idea to put this violent and quite mature DC character into Lego Minifig Form, and i couldn´t agree more. The Bike he comes with is quite a bloaded Mess, but nothing a bunch of Frag Grenades, some Booze and a Wrench couldn´t fix. I shrinked the Bike a bit to make it fit more into Minifig Scale but still kept the Design mean and gas guzzling badass. Hope you like my new Version of Lobo´s Spacebike.....if not,get the fraggg outta here :D

Here`s my take on Lobo`s Space Hog.. the original build is magic ,but I thought it was a bit over-sized , so I shortened it ,using flick-missile parts for the front forks, I also took a wee bit off the height, getting rid of the launcher/storage bay under the main man`s seat..adding in a third engine. I think for twenty pound , you get a lot in this set, Krypto and Lobo are superb figures and I would recommend this to anybody..it`s just a lot of fun! Take care everybody Kenny. 20180205_082721-1 by kenny burns, on Flickr 20180205_082520-1 by kenny burns, on Flickr 20180205_082224-1 by kenny burns, on Flickr 20180205_082328 by kenny burns, on Flickr

Hi everyone, a while ago I challenged myself to build something with the cylinder hemisphere parts used for the Star Wars planets. My 4th build in this challenge is the Daily Planet building from Superman. There are a lot different references for this building. It almost seems that each series/film/comic uses its own. So I chose the one that's based on the Los Angeles City Hall (which was used in the 1950s television series Adventures of Superman, see wiki). When looking for reference pictures I also found this funny toy (Schylling Superman Classic Carousel. The site seems to be broken right now, so maybe just use image search instead). Now, this is the result of combining those two references: This is my very first build with power functions. (follow link to see the video) The other builds of this challenge can be found here. I hope, you like it. I originally posted this in the Special Themes forum, but I guess it fits in better here.

Hello everyone !!! So after some on and off work designing this thing both IRL & LDD i am very proud and happy to show you my Batmobile as it appears on Batman V Superman. I tried to make this model as accurate as i could and the recent images, game DLC´s & toys helped a lot,not only that but the model is very stable and i know this is a small detail that´s pretty much standard with other Batmobiles but... i managed to make the wheels roll with all the armor on it !!! :D So let´s start with the front, definetly a challenging part to do as at first i had no idea how to pull off the shapes & angles, not only that but belive it or not i had trouble doing the turret Things got difficult on the sides, as the actual car has a lot of angles and shapes that are almost impossible to make a 100 % acurate representation on this scale.... however i think i did a fairly decent job doing those The back was fairly simple to do... it took me a while to find a correct size of tires but once i did everything went smoothly.... BTW Credit to JANGBRICKS for the idea of using that motor piece for the Turbine/engine/exaust pipe... So that´s pretty much it guys i hope you like this build as much as i do and if you do want to build this yourself here´s a link were you can buy the instructions : http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/222084491318? Happy building !! -Prime

I have started collecting every single minifigures produced by Lego for superheroes theme including the old Batman/Spiderman sets and exclusive minifigures from SDCC and ToyFair, etc. I think I am at around 98% complete. I wondered if anyone has done the same and how do you display them? Any advice on getting hard-to-find minifigures?

As with my last few Super Hero polls, what do you think are the best and worst Super Heroes figures? As for my opinion, I think I'd say the new Green Goblin for least favourite-the head is decent (and you gotta love the olive green) but the outfit just looks like a 1920's bathing suit with silver plating on top in my opinion. And I don't really like the upcoming Wolverine or Magneto, as the colour scheme on Wolverine looks a bit weird in my opinion, however the overall amount of detail is good, and I appreciate that. Not sure which one my favourite is... Oh wait... HULK!!! -Lady Godtshep.

Many people looked forward to the new Superman movie <Man of Steel>, but were much disappointed when the movie was not something that they expected. However, I think the first part of the movie about Krypton, the home world of Superman, is quite awesome. The organic high-tech kind of design looks very interesting without being too overwhelming or too different from human's world. Too bad that Lego's Man of Steel series only have the dropship and escape pod, and I think the awesome attack ship by General Zod should also be included. This time, like I did The Bat last time, I bought the movie book to study what this plane really is before starting the brick building. I couldn't believe that it only had one page about this ship, with only this blurry image: This type of ship only appears once in the movie, in which General Zod came to Jor-el's place to stop him from sending Superman to Earth. I have trimmed that little bit of the movie, and see if it helps you recall what I am going to show you. After nearly 2 months I finally completed the model, and it was featured too in the recent Hong Kong Lego exhibition "Bricks Adventure 2013". Now, here is the overall view of what the Man of Steel series should be! Close-up of the cockpit. There is no glass, and with the Krypton technology, why do you need to see the outside? Haha! Also, check the guns at the front, which can be adjusted for different angles. They are the weapons blowing off Jor-el's place... Inside the cockpit, one Kryptonian can be fitted in. The attack ship is basically a bigger dropship, transferring warriors to the battlefield. The center part is empty, and you can fit around 8 soldiers here... The most complicated and difficult part is the wings, which is also the prominent feature of this ship. I guess they take the idea from insects. Each side of the wings have 3 members, each can then be rotated to adjust flight position. I fixed the innermost two parts, leaving only 4 of them being adjustable. Also, the 3 members can be opened outwards or packed together. The concept for all these rotated blades of engines is for the control of flight direction. If the plane is moving forward, the engines along the blades (green parts) will face backwards. If it needs to slow down, the wings will flip to the front, like this: (you can see that in the clip above too) If it needs to stay in the air, the engines (green parts) will face downwards. This is a shot of the back, which features a pair of engine too. Different rows of engines will be turned on depending on the moving direction of the plane (as you can see in the clip) Okay now you know how the wings work. Time to land and find Superman! There are quite some design considerations during the development. I decided to keep the same kind of color and form that the original Lego series had set up, but at the same time I had to follow what the movie had designed (the dropship was not completely like the original!). It is quite a struggle. In the movie, there is no green color, but I prefer what Lego did with the green color, since it is what Kryptonite is like in the comics. Also, I keep the details from the dropship: tan base plates, shooting missiles...etc. The hardest part is the pair of wings. I have redesigned it four times, trying to keep the same design and form but making it lighter so that the hinges can withstand the long blades. Now it is slightly supported too by the top part of the plane, which is okay for now. I may improve it by using some Technic pieces later. Now everything is set, the Kryptonian war begins!
