Hey everyone, not a huge city builder, but thought I'd share a few small MOCs I gone and done: - minifig playable vintage Mini Cooper - old model Actros with long heavy haul trailer - good ol' backhoe I wanted a playable mini for my family minifigs, although in my quest for playability, fitting two minifigs in parallel and aesthetics, I made it a bit big, I will try out a 4 wide minifig version soon front rear front engine interior and functions I'm mainly a castle and space builder, but something needs to deliver all those castle wall stones and spacefaring engines! I tried ot make the front in the older Actros style, with engine playability and sleepability on the interior front interior with bed engine trailer hauling the Medieval Market Village And finally a simple backhoe to terraform the ground for the castle buildings and spaceports, for some reason I feel like the official Lego backhoes never get it quite right... front rear in action

Built for Sheffield LUG's Classics on the moor event. (note: not put in scale modelling as it's not a scale model of any existing vehicle)

Hi everyone, Recently i stumbled across this topic started by fellow builder Kevin8. It was about building a minifig mini cooper, small and detailed enough to look good with modulars, yet containing 2 Minifigs, possibly next to each other for more realism. Since the classic cooper is a really small car, it has to be 5 wide (scales 1/36 - 1/42). I kinda wanted to try if its possible - and it is, if we trick around a little^^ See for yourselves and if you want, tell me what you think. LDD file attached. Cheers Side note: the roof kinda is unstable , yet it is connected, no floating parts! Also, there is no wigs possible for the figs :( The vehicles height is exactly as high as the fig itself, if you count the stud on top of its head (or add a wig), the fig is taller than the cooper Classic Lego Mini Cooper by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr NS classic mini cooper 2.lxf

Here's my MOC of a mini cooper, a cross between the 3177-1 small car and the 40109-1 Mini MINI Cooper polybag sets. The Union Jack is adhesive vinyl cut and scaled on the computer. I'm not 100% happy with the 4 x 4 x 2/3 wedge as the roof, the back leaves something to be desired.

Hi there! Like many others I ordered the Mini as soon as it was available. It is a great piece of kit, since I´m very fond the BRG-color I was really happy when it was presented. I think the designer has done a really good job overall - considering the limitations of Lego. It has some drawbacks though; The rear end just doesn't look right, the angles are a bit off. The engine bay is nothing but horrible, the lack of detail is just - well bad. Therefor I've made some customization's, to get it a bit more like I want it. I've tried to get the rear end to look more like the original car, I've changed the tail lights since they were completely off. I have to admit thought I'm not 100% satisfied, but at least i think its better than out-of-the-box. The tailpipe is relocated and enlarged a bit to get the car a little more attitude when seen from behind. I've also moved the fog light since I made it left hand drive - the main reason for this was because i wanted to be able to fit the steering-servo, with reservoir inside the engine bay. And this was not doable due to the air-intake hose. I've redone the front grille to get some more space for the engine-components, but I hope it doesn't show to much from the outside. I fitted some extra lights, (rally-style) and put some covers on them. And yes I've changed to "Mini-lites" to golden ones, this may not be liked by some - but I think the contrast lifts the BRG-color even more. I've also moved the wheels out 1/2 stud to better fill the wheel arches. Well I think that's is whats done to the outside, lets talk a bout the engine bay: New engine block Side mounted radiator, with hose and thermostat Air intake hose, plenum and injection New spark plug cables Steering servo with reservoir Washer fluid reservoir Fuse box Exhaust manifold, (although It cannot be seen in the picture, but it is there) In addition to changing the front grille, I've also made the hood thinner to get enough space for the redesigned engine bay. Well - enough talking, here are the pictures - hope you like them! Cheers!

Who could resist a challenge to build an icon? This brick Mini Cooper may be only eight studs wide, but it was a real challenge to retain the distinctive grille, sloping headlights, contoured hood and sporty essence in a build of this size. Built as a commissioned piece for a special birthday girl, this Mini Cooper used more than 280 parts and took two months to design. Please share this if you like it!
