  3. So far in the past years, we've seen in a Christmas Winter Village: *Toy Shop *Winter Bakery *Post Office What else would you like to see in the future for the Winter Village? My prediction is it's going to be a church or a simple village home. What is your prediction?
  4. What is your favourite Lego Star Wars set ever? My Honourable mentions are: Lego Star Wars At St 7657 Lego Star Wars Imperial Assualt Hovertank 75152 My Favourite Lego Star Wars set is... Lego Star Wars First Order Transporter. This to me is an awesome set with great minifigs such as Captain Phasma, First Order normal troopers and Flame Troopers as well as 2 cool rebels. The build was fun and enjoyable with a nice colour scheme and provides as an amazing addiyion to any First Order army! What's yours? \ (•◡•) /
  5. MOC Wild West Saloon

  6. Indiana Jones River Chase Set

Hey Guys I have a pretty rare set that I'd be willing to sell! It's the Indiana Jones River Chase set!! It's fully sealed!! If any of you are interested you can make an offer!!
  7. I managed to get the universal set 8062 (including suitcase) a while ago, in OK condition for a reasonable prize. I never used it, until recently. The last couple of weeks, my soon 6 year old son and I have been busy building the models, modding them, and creating MOCs, with parts only from this set. Fantastic set, and a lot of fun! Myself, I would have absolutely loved this set as a kid! There are a lot of nice parts, and lot of possibilities, yet limitations. I think this combination is the key to the fun, because it challenges our creativity (I guess this is valid for Lego in general...). This set directs the focus more on function than looks. Even I prefer studless construction, I have to admit it's great fun to go back in time with this set. This made me think, perhaps it is a market out there for universal sets. Or is it only me? And my son? In my mind these kind of sets would be a perfect entry to Technic. I am sure TLG have their reasons for their strategies, but I hope we some day will see the return of the universal sets. Meanwhile, why not make a competition here on EB, where the challenge is to create the best universal set? The entry would have to be a universal set inventory and instructions for different models. Perhaps different classes; basic, pneumatic, PF, etc. What do you think?
  8. I was a designer, and one night I had a dream that I was in the middle of a lot of colorful balloons, and there was a big fish too . The second day I got up and did the moc. At the beginning i though it is so dull just to build a complete fish, and then i am inspired by the chinken leg at lunch, the shape of the bone, is a good idea. In order to make the set a little more colorful, i use a lot of different colors of circular pieces. In my contry, fish is a kind of animal can bring good luck to people in the new year. If you have fish at home, you will have a lot of money in the future. So i really hope this set can bring good luck to everyone who put it at home. Thanks. And i send this moc to the lego ideas, please support me if you like this set or orther moc of mine. The support linke is as follow: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/175198
  9. Hey guys, is there any set you feel was ruined by its over abundance of stickers? Mine's the F430 Challenge
  10. [MOC] Ninja's Hide-out

This MOC is a rebuild of the Ninja’s Hide-out set, 6045, from the Ninja theme of 1998. I’ve added some details and made the MOC more look like a cave. Original set: Picturs of my rebuilded version: 01_Ninjas_Hide-out by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 02_Ninjas_Hide-out by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr I’ve added the same playability of the original set, a working trap. 06_Trap by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr I’ve redesigned the hangglider. 05_Hangglider by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr More pictures at Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/mathijslegofan/albums/72157679041850800 Hope you like it :)
  11. Hello guys,I found this picture on the internet. I wanted to ask: is it real? I would be delighted if a Lego Batman set was released, which does not directly contain heroes. I really like the design of the policecar. Can you help me? When will it be released? How much will it cost?Thank you. Leaked Set Picture
  12. Hello everyone! Just sharing my thoughts on the Rogue One sets from 2016. Just a note to say I don't have any of the Rogue One sets from 2016 at the time of writing. 75152: Imperial Assault Hovertank Price in my region: $69.99 This set looks pretty good to me. The spring-loaded shooters are really well integrated into the build. Chirrut Imwe, currently exclusive to this set, is a great figure to have. The Hovertank Pilots are good too, I like the sand highlights. Unfortunately, the ship does seem a too low down, plus it lacks one crate. Aside from the crate, it just looks like a flat grey build. 75153 AT-ST Price in my region: $99.99 Sorry, the images are kinda blurry. I like this set too. It's likely the best version of the AT-ST to date, albeit slightly a little too tall. Well-integrated spring-loaded shooters seem to quickly become a staple in 2016's Rogue One sets. I love that Baze Malbus figure! It's really detailed, the only complain I have is his hair is too short, but it was arguably limited by his backpack. The only main complaint I have about the set is that it's a little too small for $99.99. 3 bags only? Even the Hovertank has 4. 75154 TIE Striker Price in my region: $129.99 I take back what I said about "Well-integrated spring-loaded shooters." They really seem stuck on on this one. However, I really like the rest of the ship. The folding wing play feature looks smooth and tight, and the cockpit seems better than the one in the First Order TIE Fighter. I feel like the back is a bit of a waste of space, as they should have allowed space for another minifigure. On the other hand, the round shape of the TIE Striker is really well captured. I love it! 75155 U-wing Price in my region: $149.99 This image -------^ is of Jyn with her poncho, the next one is without the poncho. The minifigures in this set are good. You get two named main characters in currently exclusive garb. Also, you get a named minor character (albeit not named on the box). Bistan looks good too, plus the U-wing's pilot. It is noteworthy, however, that Jyn and Cassian are dressed wrongly, as both are wearing thick woolly clothes that they wore on Eadu, while the presence of the Corporal Eskro Casrich and Bistan indicate this is meant to be from the Battle of Scarif. Also, Jyn and Cassian did not arrive on Scarif in a U-wing, much less the one with Bistan. But I digress. The build looks marvellous. We have more well-integrated spring-loaded shooters, activated using blue pieces on the front. I like it when the missiles are near cannons (to simulate cannons firing) and that is true of this set. I'm not too sure what I feel about the cockpit-opening mechanism, but without it it may be hard to open the cockpit, which unfortunately does not seat two. The storage at the back does feel kinda tacked on, but the troop carrier section looks good, and even has guns which fold out. However, the guns which fold out seem inaccurate to me, as Bistan fired the guns in a U-wing through a window, not by opening a door and folding a gun out. This, though, seems like a worthy compromise in my opinion, as a troop disembarkation with covering fire play feature works. I really love this set! 75156 Krennic's Imperial Shuttle Price in my region: $169.99 Hooray for sleek black ships! I love shiny black Star Wars stuff (my love for Darth Vader is not without reason) and Krennic's Shuttle looks really good. Currently, all the minifigures are exclusive, and they are Director Orson Krennic, Bodhi Rook, Pao, K-2SO, and two Death Troopers. The spring-loaded shooters are not completely integrated, but are hidden under the wings and look okay. Krennic's seat in the cockpit does make his cape a little squashed and thus make him look slightly uncomfortable. There are also four seats in the shuttle, two of which can be used by the Death Troopers. The panels fold open, but the interior is ugly with a lot of Technic pieces. However, when folded up, the shuttle looks great, especially with the wings in flight mode. I absolutely adore this set! To me, the higher the prices, the better the sets in the wave are. However, all of the sets are good to a certain extent for their price tags! Now, it's time for me to go buy these :) Let me know your thoughts about the sets in replies!
  13. Today I will be comparing 75003 A-wing Starfighter (2013 version) with 75175 A-wing Starfighter (2017 version). First, here are the descriptions. 75003: 75715: I will be comparing them in aspect by aspect. Playability: 75003: 4x Flick-fire missiles, Opening cockpit, 1x landing gear 75175: 2x Spring-loaded shooters, 2x rotating cannons, Opening cockpit, 3x Landing gear, Rebel Maintenance service cart with detachable accessories and ladder. While 75003 does have firing weapons and basic ship equipment (like opening cockpits and landing gear), 75175 definitely has much more, including well-integrated spring-loaded shooters. Winner: 75175 Accuracy: 75175 is definitely more accurate than 75003 (one of the pros of newer sets), as the rear flaps are definitely thinner, using a new molded piece, as opposed to 75003's brick built ones. Also, 75175's engines are more accurate when compared to 75003's. The only portion that 75003 is more accurate than 75175 is that the greebling in between the engines is more realistic to the movie than 75175, as 75003's greebling is completely grey, while 75175 has some yellow highlights. Winner: 75175 Value Many have criticized 75175 for being similar in size to 75003, yet costing £20 more. However, believe it or not, closer inspection yields the opposite. 75175 has 358 pieces and costs £44.99, amounting to 12.6 cents per piece. 75003 has 177 pieces and costs £24.99, amounting to 14.1 cents per piece. However, due to the fact that the size of the ships are so similar, and 75175 only comes with a small rebel maintenance cart to try to justify the value, I consider 75003 the winner in this aspect. Winner: 75003 Minifigures 75003 has an A-wing pilot dressed in dark green, Han Solo who only otherwise appears in Ewok Village, and Admiral Ackbar who only appears otherwise in 2009's Home One. 75175 has an A-wing pilot dressed in normal green, Lando Calrissian who is exclusive, and a generic Rebel Technician who is also exclusive. While 75175 has all-exclusive minifigures and a new Lando Calrissian, 75003 has two named characters (Han and Ackbar) as opposed to 75175's one (Lando) and thus, 75003 takes the cake. Winner: 75003 Displayability: Overall, 75175 has better displayability than 75003. This is due to the fact that it is more accurate, and the shooters are better integrated in 75175 (under the front portion) than in 75003 (used instead of guns). Also, the little rebel maintenance cart helps to finish off a little display scene. Winner: 75175 Time to tally scores! Playability: 75175 Accuracy: 75175 Value: 75003 Minifigures: 75003 Displayability: 75175 Overall winner: 75175 Hope you enjoyed this comparison! VaderFan2187
  14. Today I bring to you another of my comparisons: 7667 Imperial Dropship VS 75165 Imperial Trooper Battle Pack! 7667 Description: 75165 Description: Minifigures 7667: 75165: 75165 Imperial Trooper Battle Pack has 2 Death Troopers and 2 Stormtroopers; 7667 Imperial Dropship has 1 Shadow Stormtrooper and 3 Stormtroopers. 75165's minifigures are definitely more detailed than 7667's ones, but hey, it did come out 9 years after 7667. I personally prefer 75165's minifigures because I prefer Death Troopers over a Shadow Stormtrooper, but this may vary due to personal preference. As both have good minifigures for their time, I call it a tie (no pun intended ). Points: 7667: 0.5 points. 75165: 0.5 points. Looks I favour 75165 over 7667 as it has the more classic and accurate grey color, compared to 7667's mess of black, light grey, and blue. Also, 7667's cockpit is hideous and unfinished. Points: 7667: 0 points. 75165: 1 point. Playability 7667 has a very nice Troop Deploying function, but its other features are significantly lacking. The cockpit is terribly placed and sometimes breaks off when attempted to be opened. Also, its weapons storage is nowhere near as sophisticated as 75165. Also, 75165 has posable legs, rotating and firing cannons, and stud shooters, which, despite being maligned by many, do add playability to the set. Thus, 75165 wins in playability too. Points: 7667: 0 points. 75165: 1 point. Value 7667 retailed in 2008 at $9.99 with 81 pieces, so its value is 12.3 cents per piece. 75165 retails this year (2017) at $12.99 with 112 pieces, so its value is 11.6 cents per piece. Yet again, 75165 wins. Points: 7667: 0 points 75165: 1 point Total scores: 7667: 0.5 points 75165: 3.5 points 75165 wins against 7667. But which do you prefer?
  15. Hello everyone, I have many old sets which are using this differential http://rebrickable.com/parts/6573 and as you can see, you can easily create differential lock using part http://rebrickable.com/parts/6539. But I was wondering - is there any official set which actually uses this parts combination?
  16. Video Review: Volcano Starter Set

picked this up in a recent haul. Surprisingly good set for the price.
  17. Hi everyone, here is my review of the Lego Adventure Time Ideas set. It is scheduled for release early 2017, I was lucky enough to get it early. I've had it for about a week or so, finally uploaded the review now. Set number 21308, ages 9+, 496pcs, Let me know what you guys think of the set. Overall if you are into Adventure Time, I think you will like it. It displays very nicely. The downside would be the price - it is a licensed theme, as well as an "Ideas" set, which definitely brings the price up. Enjoy!
  18. Well, I've come back to Technic, but I need to get a set toadd some good pieces. Criteria: I can only spend up to $200 Canadian Dollar$ It need some nice wheels I don't mind buying from brucklink/Amazon/eBay, etc I'm wanting pnuematics, LAs, differential(s), frames, PF isn't required. Thanks for your future suggestions!
  19. @Delta.Customs on Instagram, said that there were two SpiderMan Homecoming sets he knew. The sets were described as so: Set #1: A Bank robbery, Spidey and two robbers, The robbers had Avengers in their names. Set #2: Has a car, Includes Spidey, Vulture with brick built wings, Shocker, and Iron Man. If you saw the trailer, this should all now sound familiar. Remember that @Delta.Customs' post was done two weeks ago. One scene from the trailer showed some men in Avengers masks robbing a bank, which adds up well to set one. We didn't see a specific set two scene in the trailer, but it's most likely a final battle anyway. We did see Vulture, with large wings, as well as a man many suspect to be the Shocker. We also saw Spidey swinging around by Iron Man. So in general, I'm pretty sure this guy's info is reliable. If you want to see an article, as well as the post, use this link. http://spidermannews.com/2016/11/30/rumor-lego-spider-man-homecoming-sets-revealed/ Tell me what you think? Merry Christmas!
  20. 42057 Replica!

42057 replica! The smallest set of the 1h2017 line. Pictures were recently released and I decided to make a replica of set 42057, the smallest of the line. Here is the video with my review: Feel free to build your own! Instructions and part list towards the end of the video. Thank you! BrickbyBrick
  21. I am trying to help a family member who can't understand English and his not really good with computers. He made a project on LEGO Ideas and is trying to get suggestions on his brick set. He also asked me how do people get more visibility on projects that are not related to any licensed property. Anybody that can takes a looks, give recommendations and suggestions about the set or his question would be really appreciated. At the same time, if you like the project it would be really nice of you to support it. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/145024 Thank you!
  22. [pid][/pid] Hello! Today I bring you my review of the Lego Movie set; Metalbeard's Sea Cow! Theme: The Lego Movie Set Name: Metalbeard's Sea Cow Set Number: 70810 Pieces: 2741 Year: 2014 Minifigures: 4 Minifigures + Mini Metalbeard and Queasy Kitty (Emmet, Wildstyle, Benny and Vitruvius) Ages: 14+ Price: Expensive ($299 Here in Canada, plus tax) About $250 USD I know this set has had a lot of negative criticism, especially from the true pirates fans, but keep in mind that it is not a pirates theme set, and therefore is not as realistic as one would probably like, but it is, after all, supposed to look unrealistic to give it that Lego Movie look. (The movie has many unrealistic builds but fun none the less!) One point I would like everyone to know, because I find it very cool, is that this is the most heavily armed boat…errrr I mean ship in Lego's History! She has 6 Firing Cannons, plus more than 14 other cannons that do not fire (Made to look like cannons) First we will start with the box, and it is huge! The box is also very heavy, but made of the usual material, so I have already seen some boxes with the seals being broken because of the weight of the ship! The side of the box also features all the mini figures included with their names. The Inner bags are many in number, you get a total of 17 normal bags. You get one #1 bag, two #2 bags, two #3 bags, one #4 bag, two #5 bags, three #6 bags, three #7 bags, two #8 bags, and one #9 bag. Additionally you get a bag with other parts for the ship including the massive fans. You also get the hull pieces, but the ship seems like it would be rather stubby, with only one bottom hull piece. Then you also get a bag with the instruction book (It really is the size of a book!) and the sticker sheet. The instruction book is very heavy, and there is only one! You would expect at least three for a set this size, but Its actually really cool! The only downside is that you cannot team up with a friend and each build from a separate instruction manual…..or novel in this case The sticker sheet has a few cool stickers, and one really cool pirate with a parrot picture! I would love to have more than one of this sticker for some custom building projects! The instructions have a page and a half showing what each bag builds. The instructions have a very eye friendly feel to them, the only problem I have encountered so far is that the Lego Bricks shown are a different shade of colour in the manual than the real ones. It is a little annoying at first, but you get used to it. The first bag contains some mini figures, including Emmet, Wild-style, Kitty and Mini Metalbeard. (I say mini because it is a much smaller version of the one in the movie and the other set that he is included in.) Bag one is my favourite bag so far! The mini Metal-beard is actually very cool. It uses the Legends of Chima ball joints in a very cool way! The emmet minifig is cool, but nothing too special (Movie reference ) Wild-style has a cool rubber hood piece and Kitty looks… not so good. I wish they had included a happy side for her face, but they want you to get every set to collect them all. You also get a sizeable amount of extra pieces just in the first bag! A total of 17! I can't imagine how many will be left after the final build! Now we shall move on the bag number two! The instructions outline the contents of the second bag, and we get the Double Decker Couch! As well as Vitruvius and Benny! We get the entire sets mini figures/Characters in the first two bags. I am surprised lego did not split them up. In this bag we also get two different villain bots (Micro Managers) from The Lego Movie. If you notice, they bear a strange resemblance to the ones in the Matrix Movie! Bag 2 is a bag number that has two bags. The first one large, the second one smaller, each with two mini bags inside. The contents of bag(s) two are awesome! And for those of you wondering if Benny's Helmet is actually broken… Its not. It is a special mold for Benny! Did you really think TLG would go around snapping space helmets!? The Second Bag comes with the Micro Managers and the Double Decker Couch! You also get Benny (Classic 1980's Spaceman!) and Vitruvius. This set comes with a very good mix of mini figures, and you get the very cool Mini Metalbeard! The Double Decker couch is also very cool, but unfortunately you cannot get any figs included in this set to sit properly on the couch. This is because they all have some sort of back accessory. You also get the two micro managers, one mini that shoots a net, and a larger one with flick fire missiles! The net can be shot by stuffing it into the "mouth" of the Micro Manager and pushing the fire flicker on the back. The larger Manager has a unfold-able radar scanner dish, used to detect master builders! It also has some cool flick fire missiles. Another cool feature is that the sides open to reveal some extra flick fire missiles! Lastly for this bag, you also get a good amount of extra pieces! Now we will move on to the ship! The ship build starts with the #3 bags, the hull pieces and the extra bag of ship parts. The bags from #3 are packed with goodies, and the Cannons! You get a total of 6 shooting cannons!!! As I mentioned before, this is the most heavily armed ship in Lego history! As you can see its a very exciting bag! It contains the ships main armament and the foundation for everything above! The bags are getting more and more focused on one particular item, now that the figs and accessories are out of the way. The next few bags contain different parts of the ships that attach to form the final product. I really like the way that everything comes together. Lets get on to bag #4! There is only one bag with the number four title, but it is packed with all you need to start building the walls of the ship and starting the long path to the sky! As you can see, the ship is looking good so far, the sides look very nice, and have more than enough armament to take on those Micro Managers! Next we will get to bag #5! Bag number five refines the current look of the ship by adding to the front and rear, and patching up any holes in the ship. As you can see, the ship is starting to look like a real ship! The sides are now very sturdy and have been completely locked up. Now it is time for bag number 6. You will notice that the number 6 bags really start to add to the fun by containing the store room and boiler controls! In these bags you get some very fun and cool looking water faucets that add to the rustic boiler look! The interior of the Boiler/Storage room contain some muskets, swords and some flintlock pistols. It also features the controls for the boiler. The sides also open up for a look inside, and also for limited playability. You also get a nice tiny chandelier than swings with the ships movements. It can be seen through the entrance to the room. The set also makes use of a few bizarre pieces such as the Indiana Jones whips, some Legends of Chima pieces and some Lego Friends pieces such as the golden faucets. So far we have gotten a lot of cool stuff, but we still have many more bags to go! This is everything so far… Ok, lets get onto the other bags! We are now on Bag number 7! Well…. three bags actually! You get some very unique parts, some technic sails and a good old fashioned door! You also get a Pirates of the Caribbean globe piece, also used as Sandy's Helmet in Spongebob Lego sets. (Clear Version) Some other cool accessories include a Golden Mini-figure Head, and some keys. How long has it been since you opened a set with some Flintlock Pistols! I really like the building techniques that have been used so far. I love the way the ships siding is placed on. Every sideboard is unique, and has a different Pirate feel to it! One of the coolest building sidings I have seen so far is found in Bag(s) number seven! This siding is a prime example! As you can see, the side board is missing, once it is built, it is nicely placed into it to fit very snug. Now both combined give a good look to the ships siding! The Final Bag 7 Build makes the ship look nearly complete. It gives the ship the appropriate height, and refines the rear of the ship. This bag also has some very interesting pieces for those of you you considering this as a parts pack. The Rear of the ship after bag number 7! It is very tall! Metal Beards Throne is large enough to fit him nicely standing or sitting. However, any other mini figure in the set looks ridiculous. Now onto Bag 8! Bag 8 builds the front of the ship, the foreword mast with the figurehead. While building, I could not resist laughing when I got to this build I don't know how you can't laugh at it! What was TLG thinking?! We are now on the last bag! Bag number 9! Bag number 8 was funny and contained a lot of useful pieces, such as the cow… and the "boiler" (More like… ) This bag builds the final middle top section for the ship. But I just noticed now that it also looks just as questionable as the "boiler"... I was surprised at the amount of detail included under the top middle section. The floor boards are filled with coins, treasure, a scull and even a rat! We are now done! The ship is done! It is funny build! Here are all the extra pieces included in the set! Here she is; METAL-BEARD'S SEA COW! Here is the Sea Cow beside two smaller Lego Ships! And as requested, here is the Sea Cow beside the Black Seas Barracuda! As you can see, the Sea Cow holds up, even surpasses some of the biggest pirate ships! Overall I give this set a great Rating! I love the details included through the set, and how they managed to do a great job using technic sails! The only downside is that the playability factor aboard the ship is lower because of the lack of space on the deck. But if you can't have fun with this set in hand, I don't believe you. It is a very cool set that I think compliments the Pirates theme! I would defiantly recommend it and I hope my review has brought some light onto this set, and all her might! DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK FOR MORE PHOTOS OR QUESTIONS ;)
  23. What Was Your First LEGO Set?

My first LEGO set was 7993: Service Station from the LEGO City theme. http://brickset.com/...Service-Station It is quite nostalgic for me, as I got for Christmas in 2007. I don't like LEGO City that much any more, unfortunately. What was your first LEGO set?.
  24. Built for the 2016 MOCAthalon, the category this time was “Classic Update.” I chose to update the Black Falcon Fortress #6074. The original featured a working drawbridge and hinging walls to allow for multiple building layouts. I kept both those features, and added a dual catapult, jail with break-away wall, great hall with fireplace and table, and a stables with working gate. There are 6 minifigs included: 4 Black Falcons, and 2 Crusaders, plus there are two horses, some extra weapons, and a treasure chest. There are 2 ladders to allow minifigs to reach the walls, and they can fold up out of the way so you can reach into the interior. See more pictures on brickbuilt Thanks for looking, I hope you enjoyed this remake of a classic set. I admit to rigorously play testing this model
  25. Hi all! I've just submitted a set idea to Lego ideas, but reached a problem. Here's an image of the set idea below; as of writing this the idea is still awaiting approval so is not on the Lego Ideas website: While i've put a lot into making the set look nice and giving it playability, there is one problem that I still feel like i should tackle to make this a solid idea for a set. Most/all train sets produced by Lego are supplied with the ability to have Power Functions. As this is a small saddle tank engine, there is no room for a motor. The passenger carriage does have space that could accommodate a power functions battery and receiver, but that would mean that the engine and coach would have to be permanently attached. Lego won't make alternative molds for ideas sets, so suggesting an alternative motor design would not be possible. Does anyone have any ideas? would be a great help! Many thanks, Isaac.
