  2. Hi, I've recently built a telescope : It measures 18 x 29 x 34cm, but the tube can be separated from the tripod and the legs can be folded to store the model more easily : And the best thing about it is that it works ! Well of course it "works" just like the Grand Piano 21323 is a "playable" piano. You can look in the eyepiece and see celestial bodies, but it's not what's actually in the sky. It works thanks to a light brick, that's activated by pressing the lens : Then the light goes through a decorated glass (sets like 75810, 10273 or 70917 have features that work in a similar way), two magnifying glasses, and bounces on a mirror : And here's what you see when you look into the eyepiece : Well at least that's the principle, I will have to finetune it if I want it to work in real life. Right now it's just a digital model, that you can see in 3D on Mecabricks : https://www.mecabricks.com/en/models/oK2w7Rk029k There are also more pictures in my Flickr gallery : https://www.flickr.com/photos/leewanlego/albums/72157718522288468 And, finally, if you like the idea and would like to see it become an official set in the near future, you can support it on LEGO IDEAS : https://ideas.lego.com/projects/2d338638-5679-42b6-b8d7-7c0166bab999
  3. Back in 2017 Andrijan94 posted a model of the JWST on Lego Ideas. He was so kind to give me the LDD file (an older version than the one now shown on ideas), and it took a while but now....: The LEGO space agency LESA was able to beat NASA when building their JWST copy! In fact, the Lego Brick Space Telescope was already secretly launched, although mysteriously it missed the orbit entry and is now flying in some office space deep in a forest near Heidelberg in Germany:
  4. hello, i just finished work on 4 spacecraft which achieved great things, feed back would be great https://ideas.lego.com/projects/e59079f3-b522-46ed-b790-e29a42f88038
  5. Palixa And The Bricks

    [MOC] Navigator and Explorer

A while ago I challenged myself to build something with the cylinder hemisphere part. This is my 5th build: Some instruments every explorer and navigator could use: a telescope, a globe, a lantern and a coffer.
  6. This is my build for "Friends in Space" contest on Rebrick. If you like it, please support it and 'Like' it here: http://rebrick.lego....ervatory/8vd1p5 The Friends' Moon Base Observatory The building hinges open and we see Mia is charting the night sky on observatory's telescope. Emma is just arriving through the airlock. She has two friends she made on a previous expedition excited to have her home. And Stephanie is busy examining rocks brought back by Emma. Her robotic dog keeps her company and reminds her that she needs to eat and drink as well as investigate. The ladder hinges up for easy access of the lab below and fits into its own space vertically for when the building is closed. The telescope dome opens and the telescope gantry rotates 360 degrees. Stephanie investigating in the lab with her robotic dog. Every hard-working gal needs a coffee machine. Emma is arriving home through the air lock. These two cute and cuddly creatures Emma found on a previous exploration. They have been waiting for her. Window seats contain the girl's lockers. Thank you! - Cara.
