  1. *Clock ticking* The following takes place between the beginning of sign ups and the end of it. Events occur in real time. Some moles have infiltrated CTU, The Counter Terrorist Unit headed up by Jack Bauer, the man who famously does not eat or use the restroom as he solves world problems in a single day. He needs help finding the moles who would do the world harm. Are you up to the task? Or are you one of the moles? Each player will be given a character to play, who will be aligned with either the CTU (Town) or the Moles (Scum). To win the game, the Town must kill off all the Scum, while the Scum needs to outnumber the Town. Third-party (neutral) characters have their own win conditions as outlined in their roles. 2. Each day you will be able to vote to lynch a player. Voting is mandatory. Voting should be done in the following format; Vote: Character (Player). Similarly, unvoting is to be done in the format; Unvote: Character (Player). No other format will be accepted. A majority vote is required to lynch a player. Failure to vote will incur a 2-vote penalty the following game day. 3. A game "Hour"/day will last a maximum of 72 hours. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. The day will end when a majority vote has been reached after 72 hours. After the "Hour"/day has been concluded, an "Off-hour"/night stage will commence, which will last 48 hours. "Off-hour"/night actions must be sent to the host in the first 20 hours of the "Off-hour"/night stage. 3.5. Players may not target the same player two nights in a row, and may not target themselves. 4. The alignment of lynched players, as well as those that died during the "Off-hour"/night, will be revealed at the beginning of the next "Hour"/day. 5. You may not quote or pretend to quote anything sent to or from you in PM with the game host, or in PM with any other players. This includes all the details of your character and role, as well as any night action results. Role claims and reporting of night action results are acceptable, but in your own words only. Do not attempt to use the structure of your role PM to your advantage. 6. Do not play the game outside the thread. Similarly, do not post out of character inside the thread. Game tactics and roles may only be discussed in the game thread or via PM with other players. Private discussion is done at your own risk and should be treated as part of the game. 7. If you are dead, you may not post in thread or discuss the game with any of the players. Any information you had becomes void, and may not be passed on. 8. You may not edit your posts. 9. You must post in every day thread. 10. If you encounter a problem or have a question, please contact the host via PM. 11.   2. Previously on 24 Mafia... Jack pulled Officer Lewis into the interrogation room for some "questioning." "Where's the bomb? WHERE'S THE BOMB?" Jack asked quietly and then demanded in a loud voice. "What bomb?" asked the security guard. "Isn't it just moles?" "Damn it, we're running OUT OF TIME!" The lead CTU agent slammed his fists on the stainless steel table. "There's no cameras in here, I removed them against protocol, so I can do what I want. So tell me what you know." Barry received an IM that somebody wanted to meet him in the armory. So he went. What could go wrong? A lot. A lot could go wrong... and did. "Oh it's you." The analyst began to feel very uncomfortable. "Oh come on," the figure said. "It's not going to be that bad." THWACK! Poor Barry's skull was bashed in (can they show that blood on network tv?) At the top of the hour, Jack called people into the bullpen. "Well we've got good news and bad news." Everyone waited for Jack to continue. "The good news is, I still have my interrogation skills. The bad news is both Barry and Officer Lewis were CTU. This can't happen. How are we supposed to protect the country when there are moles in CTU? Did I mention I also had an affair with one?"   3. The following creations were built to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 1999 Lego Racers computer game. Pieces new and old have come together to form these newly revised versions of the 8 boss cars. Please enjoy! 1) Captain Redbeard As you can see, Captain Redbeard's new ride uses the microbuild of his ship from set #40290 as a base fo this off-road beast of a racer. But it still retains the large exhausts and rear mounted pirate flag from his original car. The sails make this the tallest vehicle in the collection so far. .
  4. How come LEGO Universe never got a line of sets? Considering it had a story, the factions and the Nexus could have been the main focus, with spare pieces to use on customizing minifigures. Heck, when the game was out, I envisioned LEGO adding a line where you could buy packs of minifigures that featured different weapons, armor, clothes, and accessories that either fit into LU generally or where part of a faction, like a proto-Minifigure line. I forget if my idea was based around mystery bags or not, but another idea I had was a set that had a collection of minifigures and small builds with tons of weapons and armor from in-game like the boxed collections of minifigures. But childhood ramblings aside, why didn't they promote it like they did with the LEGO Movie with sets? At the very least they could have added onto the price like it was a licensed line and diverge the extra money to the game itself to pay for moderators and admins (maybe even give some free time in the game so kids could try out the wider game, and maybe give their characters a collection of pieces to add to their existing collection in the freebuild islands, cars, and rockets). I remember seeing all the cool gear you could get in-game and how cool the enemies looked, and wondered why they didn't at least make the pieces available in some smaller line so kids (i.e. me and my friends) could use them in their builds and allow them the feeling of making stuff in the game. Wouldn't you like making a mech while having official pieces that had your faction logo and had a 1-to-1 recreation of your actual character's appearance and high-level gear with his pet skunk co-piloting? The only reason I say this is because there were instances where elements would show up in LU and there wouldn't be any real life equivalent, either because the designers took liberties with the pieces and their connections (even though ironically some could have been made real easily as the pieces were just edits of existing ones) or because they designed stuff, like the faction and enemy pieces, that don't have a clean, official real life counterpart. I don't even care if LU can't come back as an MMO, considering how hard it is to run a family friendly one without the world's best team of mods, admins, and (because it's LEGO) software algorithms, but considering how popular it was in general, making the move to sets and another medium for story, like a single player/local multiplayer game, tv show, or full line of comics wouldn't be outside the realm of a possible success. And it wouldn't have even been a bad idea to release the full code (I wouldn't even care if I had to pay for it) for the game to more easily let its own community continue hosting the game by letting them set up their own servers a la Minecraft. I just feel that there was too much wasted when the game ended and TLG left it fully in the dust with little to nothing salvaged.
  5. As you may know, 2019 marks the 20th anniversary of the Lego Racers computer game. I doubt that Lego themselves will do anything to celebrate it (I mean, there's still no word on the progress of The Billion Brick Race) Which is why I want to. And here's a little preview of how I choose to start the celebration.... Yup, as you can see, I have created a modernised version of Rocket Racer's car. I've also done the other 7 boss cars too which will be revealed on January 2019. Also, I can finally reveal that over the past couple of years, I have commissioned MINIFIGS.ME to create custom minifigures of both Rocket Racer and Veronica Voltage. (As you can tell by the helmet.) I hope you will enjoy the other racers as they come. And don't worry, the final photos will be in much better quality. I just wanted to make a flashy teaser image with my blue lighting, that's all! I also want to host a contest themed around this wonderfully unique kart racer! Would anyone be interested in entering if I started one?

    An open letter to Lego group

    Hello, I have an idea that you are very welcome to exploit and hopefully realize. I’m a big fan of racing (MotoGP, F1, Superbike, WRC, ERC…), games (Need for Speed, Forza, Gran Turismo, F1, MotoGP…), and of course Lego (mostly Technic). So why not combine my favorite things together and call it “LEGO Technic Racing Game” (or whatever you will). Basically, you need to create an excellent racing game in which the player can upload his/hers own technic creations, MOCs, that he/she made in LDD (the LXF. file) and race them against all other official Lego technic sets, some randomly generated ones in the game, and possibly against some real cars. I know that there are Lego games, but not like this. This has never been done before. How will it work? Well, trough series of factors. The structural integrity of a MOC will be one of the factors to include. The sturdier and better connected parts will give the vehicle more strength to not fall apart in race; for let’s say off-road vehicles, when they’re crossing bumps and jumping, and for road vehicles that will give them better control. Also when you hit something or some other car in the race, poorly connected pieces will fall off. If the MOC has a gearbox, then the one with more gears will be faster. For example; 42083 Bugatti will be faster than the 42056 Porsche. Same goes for the fake engine; more cylinders equal more power. Another factor will be the weight. MOCs with more pieces will be slower. More wheels, more stability in corners. There will also be a thing such as too many wheels. Also there will be differences with Power Functions. Those will be just like in real life. XL motor will be more powerful but slower than the L motor. AAA battery box is lighter and weaker than the AA battery box, and so on. You get the point. Then, more interesting factors will be pairing of the PF motors with the gearboxes and fake engines and so on… Also there will be some different categories of vehicles (and a must have category – the one that includes them all). I’m sure that you can think of some more factors. After all you are the creators of toys. The idea for this came to me from watching all those little Lego Technic gatherings when a little bunch of people compare and race their real life MOCs. Most of them are Trial Truck competitions. Also Brick fairs when they display and drive around mostly trucks and construction machines. So hey, why not put all of those in one place, in a game. Player can upload an LXF files of whatever vehicles (tracked included), and race them against other MOCs and official sets. Trucks (with and without trailers), cars, motorcycles, wheel loaders, excavators, tanks, cranes… you name it. Maybe even aircrafts, I haven’t thought that one through. And hopefully this will get you to update the LDD pallet more frequently. My suggestion is that you pair up with some great game developers and creators of well-known racing games. To name a few: Ghost Games/Electronic Arts Inc. (Need for Speed), Playground Games/Microsoft Studios (Forza Horizon), Codemasters Software (Formula 1, Dirt rally). If this puppy comes to life, I will be the first one in line waiting to get one. Sincerely, @pagicence P.S.     [ MOC-IDEAS ] World Of GOO PLanet

    The last goo balls have finally guessed that something has to be done. They started the adventure, the bravest adventure ever in their live. The Sign Painter. Here it is. The first Lego copie not of certain level, but of the whole Goo Planet itself. On the day of 10 years anniversary of this brilliant game, I decided, that it is the perfect time to release the project on Lego Ideas. To remind people of one of the best indie games ever! Every island was transformed into microscale model with it's unique architecture and style. Everything you have ever seen in this game is represented: -The Mighty Blimp easter egg -Little miss World Of Goo -Product Z Launcher -Recycle Bin location -Observatory station -And even more of little details. Like all three types of WoG Corp. island that changes during the game. Background which represents the Game's main menu. And little detailing, like flying goos, clouds, goo trees and more...     Tlachtli; The Aztec Game

    I thought I would post a build from a month ago here to get the hang of how to post pictures.   10. Yes, it's finally happened! And I'm surprised no one has done it before, especially considering how many Flappy Bird clones have been made... If you only want to download the game, click the image below, otherwise just keep reading... I've been wanting a Lego version of Flappy Bird ever since I found out about it, I hadn't planing on making it myself, but after I started learning Unity (after trying GDevelop), I decided I needed a nice simple project to get started with, and that I could easily finish (unlike my previous Miniform game, which I have put on hold for now). It was then that I remembered about my "Bricky Bird" idea, so I searched for a simple tutorial to have as a guide (this one), and once I understood that, I got to work... That was 2 weeks ago... Now, it's almost finished* - I've recreated all the main stuff from the original game in Lego using MLCad, written all the code from scratch, and edited all the images pixel by pixel... But anyway, enough talking, time to show you the game! (and it's nowhere near as bad as my last game ) Screenshots: More screenshots in spoiler below: I have so far only made this game for Android, as it's much better suited for a touchscreen.   12. As I was sorting and replanning my brick stash (again) I got the idea to create a small Ludo game. The thought occured when I talked to friends about the fun of playing this childhood favourite again, but non of us had the game itself anymore. First I went online to check out TLGs official version and then what other people might have come up with. I knew I didn't want to built it to include minifigs. I thought I'd rather use the Brick, Round 1 x 1 for the pieces, but instead ended up using the Cone 1 x 1. I did of course consider TLGs own cute microfigs, but chosing the right ones kept dragging and their size seemed a little too dominant compared to the size of the game/the scale of the board. It would of course have greater appeal if it were to be an official LEGO game via LEGO Ideas. This version includes the addition of stars and globes, which are very common in the Danish version of the game.

    Did you play Pinball when you were young? If you're as old as I'm, I'm sure you do. My Lego Pinbal is very simple. The board is built of bricks and reinforced with technic liftarms so it is very strong. You can fix it to the table with two actuators so that he would not move while playing. I may use this idea to refresh the game: do you want a game in which every minifigure faces only the one from its own series (excluding ELF and SCARECROW which would obviously win 3 and 11) and then doing a final mashup for the new winner?   15. First of all, I'm not a videogame guy; I've never really played any video game, save for a few classic arcade games a couple of times. But, I am fascinated by many of the novel back stories and plots of numerous videogames, particularly those of a alternate historical basis. The three prominent videogame franchises that I think could make for some incredible movies are the Wolfenstein, BioShock, and Fallout games specifically. These three franchises have had been pondered upon by various film studios for film adaptations, but have currently been put on the back burner or shelved. One other franchise that I'd like to see adapted for film is Crimson Skies; but currently, it may not have much relevance now. So what cinematic videogame franchise adaptations are you anticipating and/or wish for? Discussion of movies focused generally on videogames and/or videogaming (Wreck-It Ralph and Ready Player One, for example) is also allowed by the way.

  20. I’ve checked every site I could think of that has anything Lego and in every country Bionicle came out, but have not found the alternate ending tile for the quest for Makuta board game. I’m pretty sure it’s a typo, but biosector says it was distributed in a copy of Lego magazine. Does anyone know what issue, or does anyone have a copy of the piece?     [EV3] GLaDOS

    This is a recreation of the robot character GLaDOS from the game 'Portal', using Technic and Mindstorms. Just to answer a question some of you may have: Why Mindstorms? Why not PF? Well for a start, I don't own that many PF motors (only got 2 medium motors and 1 XL motor), and secondly, I don't own any PF IR receivers or remotes. The mindstorms kit has its own IR sensor and remote, so I used that. Functions: 1. Head elevation controlled by EV3 large motor 2. Head rotation controlled by EV3 medium motor 3. Body elevation controlled by EV3 large motor 4. Body rotation controlled by EV3 medium motor These may not be very many functions, but they allow for most of GLaDOS's movement seen in the actual game. The range of movement is quite reasonable. Regarding aesthetics, I don't own a lot of LEGO pieces, so the model may look a bit incomplete or strange in some places. But I think I did an OK job with what I had to work with, especially the head. I've been built the Island in real life in honor of this anniversary as well as to honor Wes Jenkin's legacy, who sadly passed away last week. To win the game, the Town must kill off all the Scum/Evil characters, while the Scum must outnumber the Town. Any Third-Party (neutral) characters have their own win conditions as outlined in their roles. Each day you will be able to vote to lynch a player. Voting should be done in the following format; Vote: Character (Player). Similarly, unvoting is to be done in the format; Unvote: Character (Player). No other format will be accepted. A majority vote is required to lynch a player. Every “day” is 72 hours long. That’s 3 days. Plenty of time. You can’t vote for the first 24 hours, but as soon as the 25th hour begins, you can. At the end of the 72 hours, the Night stage follows for a majority of 48 hours. The alignment of lynched players, as well as those that died during the night, will be revealed at the beginning of the next day. You may not quote or pretend to quote anything sent to or from you in PM with the game hosts. This includes all the details of your character and role, as well as any night action results. Role claims and reporting of night action results are acceptable, but in your own words only. Do not attempt to use the structure of your role PM to your advantage. You may not quote PMs from other players. Quoting PMs from other players will result in a same-day 3-vote penalty against you for each incident. Do not play the game outside the day-thread and PMs. Similarly, do not post out of character inside the thread; you must always play the role given to you. Game tactics and roles may only be discussed in the game thread or via PM with other players. Private discussion is done at your own risk and should be treated as part of the game. Play with your roles. Have fun with them and get into character, you'll enjoy the game more. If you are dead, your game is over. You may not comment on the game to any living or dead players in any form. This includes posting, private messaging, direct chat, email or any other form of online or offline communication with the exception of the deadboard, provided to you by the game hosts. The deadboard is for dead-to-dead player communication only. Any information you had becomes void and may not be passed on. The same applies for living players making contact with those who are no longer playing, no matter what the stated purpose. Both situations can appear to be an attempt to gain information or cause influence that would be unfair to the remaining living players. Whether you are still playing or have already died, if you are contacted inappropriately, please notify the hosts immediately. Violation of this rule will result in instant mod-kill, taking away of your Oscar, and bad press. You may not edit your posts. Editing your post will result in a 2-vote penalty. All EB staff can see ALL edits. This is your only warning. You must post in every Day Thread. Failure to do so will result in a 1-vote penalty at the start of the next day. Characters were created separately from roles being assigned, so the type of expression/headgear/tone/clothing/etc has nothing to do with what team a character is on. Placement of a character within a photo does not indicate what team the character is on. Some figures have dual-sided heads and the heads might be turned around for photos if the scene warrants it. This is not an indication of the allegiance of the character! There are no clues in the photos. Play and have fun.
