  1. As I was sorting and replanning my brick stash (again) I got the idea to create a small Ludo game. The thought occured when I talked to friends about the fun of playing this childhood favourite again, but non of us had the game itself anymore. First I went online to check out TLGs official version and then what other people might have come up with. I knew I didn't want to built it to include minifigs. I thought I'd rather use the Brick, Round 1 x 1 for the pieces, but instead ended up using the Cone 1 x 1. I did of course consider TLGs own cute microfigs, but chosing the right ones kept dragging and their size seemed a little too dominant compared to the size of the game/the scale of the board. It would of course have greater appeal if it were to be an official LEGO game via LEGO Ideas. This version includes the addition of stars and globes, which are very common in the Danish version of the game.
  2. Miniform - A game about a minifigure that got lost on a very strange construction site... Latest version: https://bricksafe.com/files/mocbuild101/my-games/miniform/Miniform_v0.0.7.0.exe Previous version: https://bricksafe.com/files/mocbuild101/my-games/miniform/Miniform_v0.0.6.0.exe -----Important information----- Please note: All versions of Miniform extract their files in the temporary of your computer - but with old versions (0.0.1.0 to 0.0.5.0), these files are not deleted, and are duplicated every time the game is run. To delete the files, please follow these steps: Open start menu, and type "%TEMP%" (without quotation marks) Hit "Enter" to open up your computer's temporary folder. Find and delete any folders starting with "ckz". ----------------------------------------- Controls: Left = player moves left. Right = player moves right. Space = player jumps. Down = player sits down. Backspace = pause game. Escape = quit game. R = restart level. Programs I'm using: MLCad - for creating the models used in the game. MWSnap - to convert those models into graphics with screenshots. GIMP - for graphics editing and converting. GDevelop - the main game engine and compiler. ZIP 2 EXE - to pack the game's files into a single EXE file. Resource Hacker - to edit EXE file details and icon. My version numbering system: major revision . level added . minor addition . bug fix Things to add in future updates: A proper level. Game start/exit screens. Adjustable game controls. More types of bricks. (slopes, etc.) More interactive bricks. (ladders, flames, etc.) Background music. Please let me know if you have any other ideas to add to the above list, of if you have found any bugs. Have fun! Update history:
  3. Did you play Pinball when you were young? If you're as old as I'm, I'm sure you do. My Lego Pinbal is very simple. The board is built of bricks and reinforced with technic liftarms so it is very strong. You can fix it to the table with two actuators so that he would not move while playing. If you like it you can support this project on Lego Ideas - https://goo.gl/vxRv39
  4. [MOC] Arkham Asylum Batwing

I show you my MOC of the Batwing from the Arkham Asylum Video game. This MOC has 429 pieces. Let me know what you think about this MOC! :) Tell me which one would you like to see next time or tell me what you want me to build! Special Thanks to Lucas / The Incinerator14 (https://www.flickr.com/photos/theincinerators) for the advice and his kindness! I credit Giulio Manuelli too (http://www.moc-pages.com/home.php/102785). He made an Arkham Asylum Batwing too but 4 years before mine. Although similar, I didn't copy his design. It's just a big coincidence but by respect, I credit him! :) The Display is highly inspired by the MOC of Outer Rim Emperor. 5. Hello everybody. I may use this idea to refresh the game: do you want a game in which every minifigure faces only the one from its own series (excluding ELF and SCARECROW which would obviously win 3 and 11) and then doing a final mashup for the new winner? This could speed up both this and any future game. Please vote in the poll. HELLO everybody! These are the 80 minifigures for the new game starting FEBRUARY 10th if there will be enough partecipants. Please vote in this poll to help me decide. Thanks!
  6. Hi Everybody, I want to show you my Instruction Tutorial, which shows, how you can build the Pipe Wrench from PC Game Half - Life Oppsosing Force:
  7. I’ve checked every site I could think of that has anything Lego and in every country Bionicle came out, but have not found the alternate ending tile for the quest for Makuta board game. I’m pretty sure it’s a typo, but biosector says it was distributed in a copy of Lego magazine. Does anyone know what issue, or does anyone have a copy of the piece? I’ve been looking for a while and would love to play the alternate ending! https://biosector01.com/wiki/BIONICLE:_Quest_for_Makuta Photo of alternate ending piece here: http://bionicle-sell...nate_Ending.jpg Please message me if you know anything about the piece! 8. First of all, I'm not a videogame guy; I've never really played any video game, save for a few classic arcade games a couple of times. But, I am fascinated by many of the novel back stories and plots of numerous videogames, particularly those of a alternate historical basis. The three prominent videogame franchises that I think could make for some incredible movies are the Wolfenstein, BioShock, and Fallout games specifically. These three franchises have had been pondered upon by various film studios for film adaptations, but have currently been put on the back burner or shelved. One other franchise that I'd like to see adapted for film is Crimson Skies; but currently, it may not have much relevance now. So what cinematic videogame franchise adaptations are you anticipating and/or wish for? Discussion of movies focused generally on videogames and/or videogaming (Wreck-It Ralph and Ready Player One, for example) is also allowed by the way.
  9. Thanks guys! It was a nice game, not many partecipants, but that's it! Ahrrrrrr!
  10. This is a recreation of the robot character GLaDOS from the game 'Portal', using Technic and Mindstorms. Just to answer a question some of you may have: Why Mindstorms? Why not PF? Well for a start, I don't own that many PF motors (only got 2 medium motors and 1 XL motor), and secondly, I don't own any PF IR receivers or remotes. The mindstorms kit has its own IR sensor and remote, so I used that. Functions: 1. Head elevation controlled by EV3 large motor 2. Head rotation controlled by EV3 medium motor 3. Body elevation controlled by EV3 large motor 4. Body rotation controlled by EV3 medium motor These may not be very many functions, but they allow for most of GLaDOS's movement seen in the actual game. The range of movement is quite reasonable. Regarding aesthetics, I don't own a lot of LEGO pieces, so the model may look a bit incomplete or strange in some places. But I think I did an OK job with what I had to work with, especially the head. Some more images: Video: More info about the robot can be found here: https://www.us.lego.com/en-us/mindstorms/community/robot?projectid=d1208d08-db8f-421c-9aa7-5f618912d7b0
  11. Today is the 20th anniversary of LEGO's first video game, LEGO Island! I've been built the Island in real life in honor of this anniversary as well as to honor Wes Jenkin's legacy, who sadly passed away last week. Here is an introduction video I did of the Island: I also modeled all the buildings in Stud.io so that you can download and view them in 3D and easily export them into Bricklink wishlists if you want to build your own Island! Here's a sampling of the Information Center. If that piques your interest, you can CLICK HERE to see the rest of the buildings! To download the Stud.io files CLICK HERE!

  19. AFOL Jeopardy Game

So recently I thought it would be fun to have a Jeopardy game where all the questions were AFOL and online Lego community centric. I did some looking around for ways to build a game online, and ended up making one on a site called factile. I tried to keep a mix between easy and hard questions, so If anyone wants to give the game a try, you can find it here.

  22. Lights, Camera, Action! Time is money in the film biz, and it's mafia time. Your lovely hosts Darkdragon and I are looking for 16-21 players, but it's adjustable depending on the sign-ups. So come on in, and audition answer these questions. 1) Have you ever played Mafia before, and what's your experience? If not, have you read some of the games we've had on here? 2) Can you commit to the game timewise? 3) If you could be part of the glitz and glamour (and ugly side) of these things called motion pictures, what would you want to be? The sign-up thread will run until we hit the bare minimum at least. An important note, the game is being cohosted by our fantastic @Darkdragon and I, with the stunning pictures coming from her. For your convenience, the rules have been attached below, so everyone knows what they're getting into. This is round 13, we'll go through many rounds before stating the best collectible minifigure ever... but I believe it will be funny! Notes: minifigures are selected randomly.
