  1. I started modifying the new set straight away after the press images were published, hashing out some ideas in Studio. I was I inspired long ago by Mr_Idler's amazingly detailed and well proportioned Delta-7 and I've always wanted a little Jedi Starfighter on my shelf, this set presented the perfect opportunity. At first I added a lot of wedge plates to create complicated but fragile slopes around the cockpit, but after getting hold of the original set inventory and recreating it in Studio I managed to rebuild the ship with a lowered cockpit without using any extra pieces at all. Here is the complete mod along with an LED Kamino Landing Pad that I threw together, instructions are on Rebrickable. I've lowered the cockpit area by 2 plates and added a layer to the nose which is now slightly more substantial looking and helps the cockit blend better into the ship. I've made some minor changes to the wings, R4 and the Republic crest are closer to the centre and I also moved the black inverted slopes to the edges of the wings in place of landing gear. The nose of the ship now sits a whole 3 plates lower when landed and the top of the cockpit is 5 plates lower. Rather than towering over the minifigures the ship looks much closer to scale. I've also rearranged the notched-wedge pieces from the tail to create the point over the cockpit canopy, which can't be hinged open but can still be easily removed. The landing pad in the photo above is buildable but the circle shape is slightly illegal, putting the wedge plates under stress, and so the build is hard to pick up once assembled. It is however cheap, compact and compatible with the cheap USB LED kits on eBay consisting of a string of six 1x4 plates. The landing pad instructions and Studio model (use this for parts list) are in a seperate zip file on my 75333 mod Rebrickable page. And finally a few of the oringinal renders. Thanks and I hope you like the mod!
  2. Villa Del Balbianello is a lakeside villa in Italy built in 1785 expanding on an existing structure from the 13th century. With later additions added throughout the years such as relics added from an explorer. It was also featured in films such as Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002) and James Bond: Casino Royale (2006). Also a set on LEGO Ideas: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/85ec2902-0e20-40a8-9b18-4a79c9f560af

    [MOD] 75333 DELTA-7 AETHERSPRITE

things changed: -lowered cockpit down roughly 1 brick, changed build around cockpit region to slope into wings, taper into body, round out the rear to more accurately reflect the shape of the model in canon -filled in gaps with 1 tile width across whole body; requires some gaps in wing construction -replaced guns for accuracy; subject to further change to reduce conspicuousness -cut up stickers to apply across model -cut cockpit -nexo tile at front to hammer in the point :) working on instructions if anyone's interested. if ur curious on scale it works like this
  4. April 2023 Update: I've made some changes to the Midi Republic Gunship, more info further down and on the Rebrickable page, here's a quick comparison and below is my original post. May 2022 Original Post: I've wanted an LAAT of my own for a long time, I missed the opportunity to get one of the Lego sets during my dark-ages and have absolutely nowhere to put a UCS sized pile of plastic, so I thought I'd continue the midi-scale thing and try to make something bookshelf friendly. This isn't intended to be any particular scale, just roughly the same size as the midi-sized Slave 1 (75312) with room for figures and strong enough to be played with. The cockpit bubble looks oversized and there’s obviously only one of them so I had to throw accuracy to the wind there, but I’ve squeezed in as many other recognisable details as I could. The roof opens up to allow access to the cockpit which has just enough room for two Clone Troopers/Pilots to get cozy. There’s a small weapons locker in the area between the front hatches, though it' mostly for decoration as its very hard to acces, and the side doors hinge outwards and fold back so that four Clones can be seated inside. There isn't enough headroom to have them hanging by a handrail but some fearless perching before deployment is definitely doable. Finally I squeezed a stupidly small BARC speeder up the back end of the ship. Overall the Republic Gunship is a 28cm long (including the guns), 27cm wide and weighs 410g. Instructions are on Rebrickable, I've only used common and cheap parts so the whole MOC with stand will cost around £45 for the 608 pieces. https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-107732/ron_mcphatty/midi-republic-gunship And here's my other midi-scale efforts.
  5. Here are a prototype version of the Acklay and Reek which was made in 2002 and later shown for the 2005 Lego Star Wars Weekend in celebration of Episode 3. They decide to cancel this set because one of them believed "it would not sell well". I searched for any remaining photographs which I could find of the set but I have only found these three. If you have any more available please share. It could be interesting to see the Reek in closer details. Especially to see if it has anything on the tail which I have missed. Here below are all three of the beasts together. (The mini Nexu design was made by me) Finally here is a edited version of the Prototype Acklay which I made using the original design. As you can see it has more mobility to it's limbs, some extra details are added and finally the color is corrected.

    [MOC] Delta 7 Starfighter

Hello everyone ! It is my pleasure to finally show you a model that has been in the making for a while now, My take on the Delta 7 Starfighter. The Delta 7 has been one of my favorite starchips in Star Wars for a while, in fact it was the first major set i got, so it was very important to me to make justice to this craft. Befor anything, huge shoutout to: M G, Atlas & Maelven for being the main inspiration for this model. This particular model was made to be as close to minifig scale as i could get it to be, this being 11 studs width, 23 studs in lenght and 4.5 studs in height. (taking in acount a minifig being 6 foot-ish) my model comes slightly larger than that being 25 studs in lenght & 6 studs in height, but this is due to the parts i used and to make it quite swooshable. I'll admit that some of the proportions are a bit off, but considering the size this is made on, i think that's a fair trade off. One of the most intuitive features of this model is it's ability to sport all the colors and variations seen in canon (from Mace Windu's to Ashoka's), which just shows how customizable the model is. Here are some renders of Obi Wan's along with the rest of the crew's: As with most of my models i did in fact make instructions for these, which you can buy over here !: https://ebay.us/4EBNjp Besides you also get some original artwork i made for it: Really hope you like it ! As always any feedback is more than welcome. May the force be with you -Prime
  7. This is my version of khatmorg's incredible delta-7 model (which you should view here www.flickr.com/photos/95628537@N02/8735306298/in/dateposted/ and here http://www.eurobrick...2931&hl=delta-7) . I originally built their model as per the original build over a year ago but a few months ago I started fiddling with it and have now arrived at a point where I'm satisfied with it. It was difficult to find other ways to achieve some angles (the source is so good already!) especially in the back and as a result that area is quite fragile and use some illegal connections. Most of the changes are concerned with the bottom, spine and rear sections. I haven't been able to find a way to find a way to hide some little landing gears in the back of the wedge where it fattens out a bit yet so the ones you can see in the other photos are just attached externally. Also it is about 8 to 10 studs too long as a result of the angle of the 1x3 wedge plate, according to the rough scale I used. That isn't ideal for me as I like to scale it right to a degree, but the additional detail you can add on a bigger model is good as well. I also wanted to try an alternative solution to miniaturise the dual laser cannons, and add the other half on the bottom but haven't solved that issue either. I might pick this up again later and play with it some more but for now I'm content to reveal it. I hope all of you enjoy. Thanks to khatmorg for being so great about sharing their creation. The stand is based on sydag's method which you can see here (www.flickr.com/photos/sydag/16129935387/in/dateposted/). It's simple and ingenious. You can view the rest of photos in the album (www.flickr.com/photos/48109771@N05/albums/72157668258477972).
  8. So I've been going through old minifigures from the Star Wars theme and found miifigs like Kit Fisto and Plo Koon. The paint on them isn't there anymore. Any ideas on what to do?
  9. Hi everyone, I'm back with some new old creations! Those are models that I built between 2008 and 2011 and which have now been disassembled. This is my Midi-scale model of the Acclamator-class assault transport seen in Attack of the Clones, the outstanding Dark Horse "Star Wars: Republic" comics, the 2003 Tartarovsky Clone Wars cartoon, the 2008 Filoni Wars cartoon, and the videogame Empire at War. I built this when I was 13 or 14 years old, so please don't be too harsh on me, I like to think I've improved since then. Same scale as this one, but much stronger in-universe...
  10. My Geonosis Arena model renders. It includes the three arena beasts (Acklay, Reek & Nexu), some geonosians, a droideka an orray along with a section of the arena. Project Links Lego Ideas Link: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/164837 (Some more Images & Support page) (Please support it if you like it lets get this to 10 K, If it's not accepted it could make LEGO consider making it a set for the official line) LDD File: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ae2for3qxgigwba/Geonosis_Arena_ThunderousBlade_Lego_Ideas.lxf (Uses non-existent colour bricks) Hope you enjoy it! Was interested in this scene since 2002.
  11. This is my entry to the Brickset 2016 Star Wars competition where you had to design a set based on a specific scene that hasn't been represented yet. Anakin, Padme, R2-D2 and C-3PO have infiltrated the Separatist droid foundry on Geonosis and are ambushed by the Geonosians! Pull the pins to shut the door and drop the heroes onto the conveyor belt. Turn the wheel to move the conveyor belts and help them escape through the assembly line! Watch out for swinging robot arms, stomping presses, and chopping blades! Use the swiveling robot arm to assemble the droids. C-3PO has lost his head! Attach R2-D2's rocket boosters and turn the knob on the tower to have him fly to the rescue! Rearrange the assembly modules to create your own foundry layout. Includes Anakin Skywalker, Padme, R2-D2, C-3PO, one Geonosian with stud shooter, and 4 battle droids. LEGO Geonosian Arena MOC

This is my rendition of the Geonosian Arena from STAR WARS Attack Of The Clones. This has always been one of LEGO's most glaring omissions from the Star Wars line, hence why I decided to test out this MOC. OK, it's not excessively massive or complicated, but I just think it makes a neat little playset. Comment your opinions. Also don't forget to check out my LEGO IDEAS page for more information on this, and please support! :) from there you can read all about the design plan, the history, and also see any other photos of the MOC. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/158217
  13. Hey guys! I've been rewatching all the Star Wars movies the last couple weeks in anticipation for The Force Awakens. Now I'm in the mood to make sets LEGO never did! So I started off with the Droid Factory from Episode II: Attack of the Clones! The minifigures I included are Anakin, Padmé, RD-D2, two Geonosians, a Droideka, and two battle droids (one with C3-PO's head.) As usual with my MOCs, I try to make them look like real LEGO sets. So there's tons of play features, like turning the knobs on the sides of the conveyor belts, knocking Padmé into the giant fire pot thing the little platform at the entrance can be pulled back, etc. I actually made a droid factory set in 2013 but didn't like it so I remade it last night. I think it's heaps better than the old one, what about you? Thanks for looking! Feel free to tell me what you think I should make next! I'm thinking the Battle on Geonosis. We'll see!
  14. Welcome to my: "Star Wars: Geonosis Arena Execution" Creation! This is a Geonosis Arena LDD Moc which I have rendered and submitted to the LEGO Ideas site. If it reaches 10,000 supporters it will be reviewed by LEGO and can become a official Set! If you have Facebook you can use it to have signup quickly and support the project. Otherwise you can register manually. You can support and take a look at the project here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/116419 If you wan't to further help the project you could share it on other appropriate sites and spread the word. I've been working on making the Geonosis Arena for years probably from 2002/2003 to the present day and I think I've nearlly hit my limit on the development of my designs for both the creatures and the structure of the arena, (more of the arena was in my previous projects) . This time around I've made custom designs for a new version of Padme, Obi-Wan and Anankin as seen in the Republic Gunship,(75021) set which adds a lot more to a potential Geonosis Arena set. I've also continued to update the four pillars making them more robust and movie accurate. Did I mention, they can fall over just like in the film when the Acklay charges against one smashing it and when one is hit from a Geonosian sonic cannon. Don't forget if your watching please leave a support. This would mean the world to me if it got to the LEGO Review and I think it has a good chance to be made since it was never officially released as a set before and it's not something massively huge so there is a good chance LEGO could consider it. May the force be with you. -Thunderous Blade
  15. Hello! This is my attempt at a movie accurate representation of the Geonosis Arena beasts in Lego! I made the design in LDD and Rendered them with Pov-ray since I wanted to be able to use any peice in any color that I needed for the design. If you want this to be a real set make sure to leave a support here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/92060 on the LEGO Ideas website. This is the set which I always wanted from when I saw Attack of the Clones in 2002 from when I was a small kid. Whats yours? By the way I want to know what you would do if Lego made this set. Would you buy it? If so would you display it? Use it's parts to make something else? Play? I would make a Stop-Motion based on all of the Geonosis Arena battle. I would of done it already with the less detiled designs that I got but I want to wait and see if I can reach the projet goal.
  16. Hello! Here is my updated arena beasts for Lego ideas. I got the basic shapes and characters made pretty quickly but I spent a lot of time re-modeling them to try to get the perfect lego feel while still including the right amount of details and funtions. Here is the Reek: Here is the Acklay: And finally here is the Nexu: Questions Why did you decide to produce a Lego Ideas set Geonosis Arena? It has never been done before other than in the form of a prototype model (atleast one) and so I strongly think it should be made as a Star Wars set as it would be new and unique. It would be another nice addition away from the many reworked sets. The Arena beasts have never been released before aswell so it is not only the Arena that would be new but many of its characters. Prototype Set for those who have not seen it: Which is your favourite Arena Beast? My favourite is the Acklay beacause of how it looks like a mix between a Praying Mantis,(along with a triceratops for the head and a criceket for the tail/spike section) and a dragon which I both like. It used to be the Reek when I went to see the film. The Reek was the first Aotc figure which I managed to get after having missed a chance to get a protoype micro machines/michro machine sort of set with all three of them together. If this gets made into a Lego set what Lego Star Wars Creatures would you like to see next? From the films I would like to see the three Nabbo underwater creatures, (Colo Claw Fish, Opee Sea Killer and a smaller scale Sando Aqua Monster), a Bantha and also the mouth of a space slug with a smaller scale Millenium Falcon. Outside of the films I would like to see a Felucian Rancor/Bull Rancor, a Katarn and a Krayt Dragon. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/87724 Lastly thank you for taking the time to look at this post/project I really appreciate it! Looking forward to your replies!
