"MiraDouro" is composed of the CP 1400 series diesel locomotive and Schindler Tourist carriages. This is my favorite consist nowadays, actually, there are several colors and variations, and it's hard to find the exact same configuration the next day. The Schindler carriages - produced in the 1940s by the Swiss manufacturer Schindler and put into service on the national railway network between 1949 and 1977 - have recently been restored and their panoramic windows can be opened during the journey. It runs daily between Oporto São Bento/Campanhã and Pocinho and back. I am working on a moc that uses parts from 60320 to make a Shell gas station like the sets 1254 and 1256. I also am using instructions for 7993 and 3177 for reference on how to make cars. Any suggestions, let me know! Thanks.

Took this time some inspiration from @johndrinkin and his art deco/retrofuturistic trains and some existing trains with smooth "bathtub" cowl appearance. Back to Svalg Keep To the very end of a treacherous dirt road, west of the Bay of Storms, lay a small fortress called Svalg Keep. The fortress was erected by the Old Men, where the winds were heavy, the temperature was low, and no man had reason to pass by. For behind those doors, nested only chaos and destruction. My stallion trotted through icy roads, as small bits of the fortress appeared between the snow-covered pines. The dim light of the lanterns that kept Svalg Keep alive looked blurred and weak from a distance. The more we approached, more it looked old and forgotten. I have been here before and promised never to return. Never to open the gates of chaos. Never to access the memories I prayed to forget. “But there is such joy in chaos. Stow all the world's evils behind a door and tell men that they must never, ever, open the door. And it will be opened because there is pure joy in destruction.” As I stood by the gates of Svalg Keep, the wind whispered a desperate cry, hustling through the trees and fading in the distance. Iron chains hugged tight to the rusty handles, to ensure what was in, would never come out. I chuckled. Every path would lead me here. Where everything began. For chaos and destruction live in every warrior’s soul. And only amidst chaos, we can find our peace. Built for Guilds of Historica's Anniversary Challenge, Category B: Old but Gold _________ I've built Svalg Keep back in 2019. By the time, I had just started writing my own stories. The castle came alive as I built it the first time -- much more alive in my imagination. And I've always wanted to revisit it. It was also my first build to be featured. That build made me start interacting with you guys and the LEGO community in general. And I believe it was my entry-ticket to the Guilds of Historica. Re-imagining that build was a way to revisit those days I got introduced in the frozen lands of Mitgardia, my proud and heartfelt homeland. That's my way of saying thank you. "This is where the fun begins!" My latest ship from the Prequel Trilogy has arrived, and it surely was a lot of fun to make: here's Obi Wan's Eta-2 Actis Interceptor from Episode III - Revenge of the Sith and The Clone Wars. This small unit consists of 281 pieces (stand included), and has one major feature: true Minifig scale! There's a handful of beautiful MOCs of this ship out there already, but most of them are based on the huge cockpit piece from the playsets, so they're drastically oversized. So here I am with a, dare I say, more accurately scaled version. It does come with a drawback, you guessed it: you can't put a fig inside. A bit ironic I know, but I chose to go for a brick-built cockpit in order to get as close to the original design as I could, prioritizing accuracy over playability, as usual. The wings were pretty challenging given the ridiculously small scale, and my goal was to have them as thin as possible without compromising the SNOT look. I'm quite happy with the result and I think this makes a nice little display piece. It's also very swooshable despite the intricate wing design. I'm usually not a fan of stickers, but I thought this one deserved some sweet markings. I used the sticker sheet from the playset - it is included in the parts list. The color scheme can be changed to red with only a few part swaps (see last page in the instructions). ► Instructions for the Eta-2 Actis Interceptor are available at Rebrickable. I'm not building with bricks as much as I'd like to, but when I do, this represents some sort of relaxation and meditation. Specifically, this tiny pavilion over the lake was inspired by several art pieces of Asian-inspired gardens and landscapes. In addition, it started out as a digital MOC due to a lack of space to find the basic parts to test the concept of the pavilion's support, and then it quickly grew to an almost final build. However, when I finally collected almost all of the parts needed, I found a few weaknesses that needed an update. Nevertheless, the complete experience was once again a very relaxing retreat from every day's stress and that is exactly what this hobby means to me - a way to relax during the busy days, take my mind off, and wander off to fantasy landscapes anything is possible.

Kaliphlin District of Cedrica Kaliphlin District of Cedrica Cedrica is a melting pot for all of Historica’s guilds. Life is busy on this warm day in the Kaliphlin district. Ladies enjoy drinks at the café while merchants haggle on the streets. Kaliphlin soldiers patrol these canals to make sure the right sort of justice is enforced. Merchants, Soldiers and Ladies I created this 32x32 module for the Guilds of Historica final 10th Anniversary Challenge: “Life in Cedrica” category. I'm very curious what you all think of my project ground floor You can hand in all your parcels and letters at the post office or pick them up at the counter. The postman can weigh your parcel and then sort it into the post crates. The letters are sorted in a postal sorting rack with house numbers indicated in different colors, you can guess which buildings they are. Electric step charging station At the E-step charging point you can get a fully charged electric step to drive past all your favorite modular buildings. There is also an electrical inverter hidden under the stairs from the solar panels on the roof. In the Tech shop you can buy the latest technical gadgets including smartphones, telephone covers, computer with speakers, or an OLED TV. first floor The pharmacy is the place where you can get all your medication such as vitamins or pain relief. There is also a rack with bandages or plasters, there is also a cosmetics rack. In the office, every working day starts with a nice hot cup of coffee. The office contains an extensive interior including a. Copy machine Coffee machine Cabinet with folders Desk with two computers. second floor There are two apartments on the second floor. The left apartment has a kitchen, a dining table for two, a bed with bedside table and night lamp. In the apartment on the right lives a woman who likes to play games. In her apartment you can find a full bathroom, there is also a kitchen and a bed, but of course you should not miss the game chair and game station. The roof On the roof you can find three pairs of solar panels that can power the building. function All the balcony doors can swing open inwards. This modular building has a unique connection option. Normally you can connect a modular building as a straight street or in a corner of the street, this building has both options so that you can choose where you want it in your street.

I’ve taken way too many roads to remember them all. I’ve ventured through the unknown, into the white horizon. Fearlessly, bravely. But once I stepped on this one road I knew so well... I shivered. “To move forward, you need first to face the demons of your past. It cannot be changed, forgotten, tossed in the wind, or buried in the snow. It can only be accepted”. I was not ready to come back. But destiny unraveled, and there I was. Looking for answers in the memories I tried to bury. Høydefür, as I remembered, was once an imposing fortress. A mixture of stone and timber, admired for its fortitude. Big and strong and solid. Thick walls and towers that could reach the skies stood vibrant amidst the white peaks and mountains of the North. ... But that was years ago. It’s funny how time plays its part. For in the distance, hidden in the bleak stillness of nature, a shy and lonely fort stood still. Høydefür, the strongest of the northern castles, remained untouched, unchanged. Just as I remembered. The cold wind tightened on my throat. And every step towards the wooden gates was a tough reminder of the years gone by. But the closer I got, clearer it became. The green boy I thought I killed, lived within me still. Inside the walls, the sound of metal clang and the crackling of wood resounded in my chest. Like a beast, opening its mouth to swallow the prey, the wooden gates yawned open, welcoming me to my own past. Høydefür was no more than a decaying shack. A hollow dump I used to call home. ________ Entry to the GoH 10 Challenge, Category C: Miscellaneous. I hope you all like it. Høydefür is a little story about going back to a familiar place, and finding it just as it was, but still completely different. It's funny how sometimes a little distance can change your whole perspective about a subject. It's not always comfortable to adventure through your own past. But it sure makes us grow. Hello all, I would like to share with you my most recent model. It is currently digital, but a physical build will be coming soon (with instructions). UP #844 is one of the most iconic locomotives that has ever graced the main line. Both powerful and elegant, she has captured the attention and imagination of railfans since her delivery to Union Pacific in December of 1944. #844 was the last steam locomotive delivered to UP and the only steam locomotive of any American Class 1 railroad that has never been retired. She has seen revenue and excursion service for over 78 years. During this time, she has had several modifications and upgrades. Some minor, such as a livery change and some major such as a Worthington SA feedwater heater added around 1955. For this build, I wanted to capture her essence and model her as she would have appeared in April of 1949. A careful eye will note several key features: by this time she was modified to be oil burning, a mars light had been installed, she was still using the Sellers exhaust steam injector and she wore the two-tone gray paint scheme in Harbor Mist Gray and Armour Yellow. This model is 8-wide, 1:48 scale and displays #844 as she would have been seen while pulling the Overland Limited, Los Angeles Limited or Portland Rose in April of 1949. #844 represents the absolute apex of duel-service steam and I want this model to represent nothing less. It is powered by two large power function motors with a 3:5 gear ratio so that she has both high tractive effort and can travel at high speed. Next step…building the instructions and ordering parts!

Ahoy Mateys! I originally built this bad boy over a year ago, but after designing a few more MOCs I determined that it needed some upgrades. I went back to work on improvements after completing my larger Forbidden Island MOC. I hope y'all like it! If you like it enough to build yourself the instructions are available on Rebrickable! My original version had a much grainier look to it. I wanted to smooth it out by adding more curves and angles to the beach.

Constructed: 1633 Demolished: 1864 The Rijnsburgerpoort was a gate in the fortifications of the city of Leiden, Netherlands. It was one of the many gates that surrounded the city and served as a point of entry and exit, as well as a means of controlling access. The gate was located at the end of the current Steenstraat. Just after completing the new train station in 1842, traffic became increasingly intensive. The gate became more and more of an obstacle and finally it was demolished in 1864. Follow me: Instagram

A Trebuchet.cro colleague talked me into to start building castles. First I built a small tower a few years ago , and then I expanded to the buildings in the city and the surrounding countryside and port. After collecting bricks for a long time, I decided to knock down a small tower and make a castle, so that part of the interior can be seen. The castle is 80 cm high. We start from the kitchen, then the great hall, the royal bedroom and finally the sleeping princess. It is planned to raise the walls and to expand the city and the port.

I love classic space ships from the 80's and 90's and inspired by the rrecent release of the Galaxy Explorer set and the Blacktron remake I created this MOC as my version of a modern loking and redesigned Classic Space Ship. Will Lego launch a new Space theme? Well... you can make it happen. If you like this model; crowd support is open for voting until 3/31/2023. Intergalactic Patroller Space Ship Yes I am talking about the Bricklink's Designer Program Series 1. The contest required some limitations related to parts available and color selection. Hi, it`s time to share some impressions of Hildesheimer Steinewelten with you! It was the first time that I put up my train station. It is a fictional medium sized station featuring typical german architectural styles. It could be located anywhere in the middle of germany and should represent that kind of station where you drop off to start your holidays. As you can see besind the main building with the clock tower I added a restaurant with a beer garden to the right, a store house to the left and a second platform with an undercrossing. The hole setup is build modular and can be disconnected into 6 48x48 moduls. Hello modular building and City fans, This modular Gothic Cathedral was my entry to Bricklink Designer Program Series 1. I have received many kind comments and support, but unfortunately it has not been selected, therefore I decided to make the instructions available here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-148170/_TLG_/gothic-cathedral Kit is available here: https://buildamoc.com/products/gothic-cathedral It is not actually based on a real building, but it contains many typical details: lancet arches, double lancet arch windows, a ridge turret, flying buttresses, portals with series of receding planes, rose windows etc., and there is a matching street lamp too. The roof assembly can be removed as one piece and in this case the internal details are visible: there is an altar with a cross, a candle holder, a church tabernacle, a brick built bible, there are benches, an organ, a holy water stoup etc.. The middle door on the facade and the side doors open outward, and work perfectly, the side doors on the facade open inward and they can be opened if the door handle pieces (the taps) are removed, but it is not se easy to close them in this case. It is a studless build, the unnecessary studs are hidden by tiles. When I started the design, the first version included appr. 4600 parts, so I had to optimized and simplified it a bit, but I am still really satisfied with the result. For example it could be very nice if there was trans color plates in the holes of the window fences, but it would mean too much additional parts (and I am also not sure if it is a legal technique). The building instructions guidelines have been followed. It is built from the palette "BDP Series 1", so there are some color and part restrictions. The part 15744 could be awesome as rose window on the facade, but unfortunately it is not available in black or light bluish gray. However, the technic gear 40 tooth works too. The bells could be pearl gold or something similar, but the best available option is the black which is ok. I hope you like my design, I appreciate any feedback. I haven't built a MOC in quite a while, been a bit busy with work and everything else. And the inspiration doesn't come as often as it used to when I was younger. But this January I decided to sit down and build a really cool MOC for a contest. And I thought, I enjoy Victorian architecture a lot, why don't I build a Victorian cottage? (I mean, technically it's a house but cottage sounds a bit more charming). This was a really interesting model for me to design. I actually started with the balcony and the tower, and then built downwards from there until I reached the baseplate. From there, (because it was all in one step in the stud.io file at that point), I ended up separating the entire model piece by piece, and building it again from the ground up! I am definitely the type of builder who will build everything at once and organically flow into a completed model. Only to find it is in one big step with no indication of how I got there. Wasn't going to fly for the contest, since we needed to build instructions. When I started building, because it was actually going to have more of a rectangular shape with a porch in front of the tower, I made one of the gable ends longer. But that really made the roof angles wonky. So instead, I decided to make it more or less the same on either side, which worked out in regards to the gable ends. The shell design over the windows on the tower went through several iterations before I found the one I liked. To add further complication, the whole model was then split into three parts, built again from the ground up, and instructions were made for those three parts. There were a few part problems to work out along the way, this step was incredibly helpful. The submodels were then reincorporated back into the final model with an accompanying 628 page instruction component. And of course part problems cropped up everywhere which meant the instructions had to be formatted again a whopping three times! What a journey! I think I definitely know the model inside and out by now. The most challenging part for me was working on the roofs. I am definitely not the best at coming up with angles and figuring out how to make those work, it definitely took a lot of time and a lot of trial and error. There was also a hilarious mishap at one point realizing that the detailed, hinged roof that I intended to be able to open and close would not open at all, and instead it just crashed into the porch roof. Which prompted a redesign to a more doll-house open wall style build. Oh, and there's no toilet. Which is a bit of an inconvenience for whichever minifigs end up buying this house, but it's nothing a little redecorating can't solve. The furniture was pretty fun to create too. I'm not the best at coming up with fantastic unseen-before techniques, so a lot of it more basic. It was a great experience to be able to build this model. The idea was rather spontaneous, and I settled on the Victorian house theme because I've always loved Victorian architecture. I especially loved the Monster Fighter's Haunted House, and I wanted to create something that had somewhat close to the accessibility of a dollhouse while still having the stability and bulk to be a stand-alone display model. There was quite a bit of trial and error on the trim, some of the pieces clashed in ways that the program wouldn't detect until it was too late. But overall, I'm very satisfied with how the build turned out! This MOC I've currently entered into the Bricklink BDP Series 1 contest that's currently ongoing, and it has just entered the voting phase. RC Monster Truck [MOC]

Hello everyone! I want to share with you my Monster truck that I build for an outdoor winter driving. It has a lot things to improve, but even this imperfect build gives a lot of fun! Yes, this post is mostly not about technical aspects, but about the whole concept and the driving experience it gives! Some highlights: All wheel drive and steering Solid axle suspension with permanently locked differentials Planetary wheel hubs Strong transmission with metal U-joints and metal bearings Brushless motor 1000 kv 3S Li-Po for power 2 GeekServo for steering 120 mm RC wheels with great grip Removable body Together big wheels and powerful motor makes this Monster Truck a real beast. It has both torque and a decent speed. Planetary wheel hubs give enough reduction to obtain the precise control of torque (that is rather unusual for Brushless motors). All wheel steering with deferent steering modes (made as an option of my RC transmitter) bring more fun to the driving. It also increases the climbing abilities of the Truck (as it is shown in the video). -
The last few hours had been quite eventful. Harry was fighting a losing battle against the Basilisk until he received unexpected help from Fawkes (who brought with him the Sorting Hat). Harry reached into it and pulled out the fabled Sword of Gryffindor, which he proceeded to plunge into the serpent’s mouth. With Fawkes and the sword returned to their owner (and a certain house elf in need of freeing) Harry left Dumbledore’s office. The old wizard, now alone, examined the sword, which now seemed to be imbued with a unique power…

1940s short school bus - real world MOC (for use with Modular Buildings or Winter Village)

I remade my magic school bus model into a school bus from an older time period (the 1940's) and I think I like this version better. There are some anachronisms (such as the swinging stop sign arm) that didn't exist on school buses in the '40s, but I am using Modular Building / Winter Village logic here: old fashioned vehicles and buildings, with some modern features strewn about when needed. Like many of my vehicle models the roof does not come off to get at the inside details, but then again, there aren't much in the way of details in there anyway. (Yes, the stop sign is printed wonky. There is nothing I can do about it.) Thoughts?
