  1. Hello! I'm currently working on my new UCS model of Jedi Interceptor. Originally, I wanted to keep the same scale as my ARC-170 starfighter , but the sizes are quite different (18.95m vs. 4.3m) so the Jedi starfighter would be quite small. Right now I'm I have a little problem with R4 unit, it seems to be quite big compared to the rest of the ship. Not sure what to do, either create some smaller R4 unit (3x3 stud ?), or make the ship bigger what do you think ?
  2. Hey everyone, So I recently started re-watching Clone Wars since I finally got it on BluRay, and thought I'd take a stab at some of the ships since Clone Wars was the first series I started making MOCs for. (One day I may show my earlier stuff once I update it all.) I had forgotten how neat the Republic Y-Wing was, and thought I'd tackle that. I had planned to show this off as real bricks but it's going to cost a bit more than I had originally anticipated, so here is the LDD version for now. Anakin's BTL-B Y-Wing Starfighter (1) by IcarusBuilds, on Flickr Version with landing gear, there is unfortunately no room to fold it in, so it has to be removed and bricks placed over the holes. Anakin's BTL-B Y-Wing Starfighter (2) by IcarusBuilds, on Flickr They had the design drawings available on the Star Wars website, so I used those to get my design as close as I could scale wise. Anakin's BTL-B Y-Wing Starfighter - Full (1) by IcarusBuilds, on Flickr And then a collection of the different colours seen in the show. BTL-B Y-Wing Starfighter - All Colours (1) by IcarusBuilds, on Flickr BTL-B Y-Wing Starfighter - All Colours (2) by IcarusBuilds, on Flickr BTL-B Y-Wing Starfighter - All Colours (3) by IcarusBuilds, on Flickr As a side note, there is enough room to fit Anakin and Ahsoka in the cockpit, I tried to fit a clone, but the helmet is just way to big to fit under the canopy. Also I am aware that these do contain some pieces that do not currently come in the shown colours. Anyways, let me know what you think, and enjoy.
  3. Some people say that the prequels sucked...and they did...but I believe that this scene redeemed all 3 movies (Minus He-sa who-sa shall not be named-sa ;) So I decided to replicate this epic Lightsaber battle in Lego. This moc has over 1500 pieces (most of which are in the lava) and took me and my sister about 7 hours to build and finalize. After a week of looking at it I thought something was missing so I ordered some fantastic Lego lights and set them up under that lava to create a fantastic effect. I would love some feedback on the moc and I'd love to hear your opinions. Thanks so much for taking a look!
  4. Hey guys, this is my mini moc (16x16) on Mustafar, it is based on the duel of episode III. Lego Star Wars: Mini MOC on Mustafar Lego Star Wars: Mini MOC on Mustafar https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G5YINcWHDbY
  5. For a few months I've been playing around with redesigning the 10215 UCS Obi-Wan Starfighter (Delta-7 Aethersprite) with a few objectives in mind: Change the colour scheme to match Anakin's Delta-7, as per the Clone Wars animated series... but only in bricks. Improve the canopy to rear cockpit lines so that the curve is smoother and continuous. Have landing gear that can carry the weight of the set Have the option of a droid socket in front of the cockpit. Ideally this would be sized to fit the 30611 R2-D2 polybag build. As is always the case with a Lego design/build, compromises are made between style, colours, parts availability/count, function, build stability, etc. I've redesigned pretty much every aspect of the original design, with only a few core elements left untouched. The wings, engine shrouds, central hull and cockpit have all been changed extensively. I've yet to build this in bricks, so I don't know if what I've chosen so far will work. I do know that some of the pieces I've selected aren't available in the colours I want. Here's a few test renders. I'd be interested to hear anyones thoughts and feedback on how to improve this.

    [MOC] Mars Guo Podracer

Hi, check out my model of Mars Guo Podracer. It is part of big diorama so more models are coming soon!! https://www.flickr.com/photos/thire5/35219351451/
  7. Hi Everyone! This is my entry for the Micro/Midis Contest on FBTB. I chose to make Anakin and Sebulba's podracers because, well, I just love podracers. Actually, I'm only entering Sebulba's Podracer since you can only enter one Microfighter and it's the more detailed one of the two. It is made out of 109 parts (not counting the stand) which is the same amount of parts as the Microfighters U-Wing has. The side pods of the cockpit double as flick-fire missiles and can be aimed up and down. And because you can't have Sebulba without Anakin, I built a microfighter of Anakin's Podracer to go along with it. Which one do you think turned out better? Cast your vote in the poll above. Let the race begin!

    Lego Force Ghosts

As everyone knows, you cannot find any force ghost figures, and they are figures that everyone wants Lego to make. So, This weekend I decided to 3D print the force ghosts from episode 6. I created Anakin, Obi Wan, and Yoda. I had to edit a few of the part designs to make them work, but in the end they turned out good. First I printed out a statue that couldn't move and drew on a face for Obi Wan (this isn't the finished one) http://m.imgur.com/0bJTQxh?r Next I printed out a body and head for a regular figure and painted on a face for Obi Wan and printed out a Yoda head and painted it too. (Only could find a Clone Wars version, but it still looks good). http://m.imgur.com/GHUljho? Then I tried printing out legs, but the pegs for them wouldn't connect into the connector. So, I had to modify short legs so they would be longer and not have a connector, so it would not have be able to fit a peg in. As you can see I had to find the correct scaling (ones too big, ones too small). http://m.imgur.com/JuxUx2o?r Finally I edited arms so that the hands would permanently be stuck in (just a preference). And I worked on Anakin and painted his face and drew on his scar. http://m.imgur.com/3RYQfNE?r Out of all of them Yoda or Anakin are my favorites. Obi Wan is going to have to have a different face, because his eyes are too far up and I can't put his hair on all the way without them not showing up. I will update you guys when I fix him. This all required tons of sanding for the connections and everything, like the head peg, the legs, and arms. I'm pretty satisfied how they all turned out. I am thinking of making a Qui Gon Jinn ghost in the upcoming days. Here's pictures of each individual figure http://m.imgur.com/vOWJ57V?r http://m.imgur.com/6yuPv8c?r http://m.imgur.com/cQgSOuR?r
  9. My Geonosis Arena model renders. It includes the three arena beasts (Acklay, Reek & Nexu), some geonosians, a droideka an orray along with a section of the arena. Project Links Lego Ideas Link: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/164837 (Some more Images & Support page) (Please support it if you like it lets get this to 10 K, If it's not accepted it could make LEGO consider making it a set for the official line) LDD File: http://www.mediafire.com/file/ae2for3qxgigwba/Geonosis_Arena_ThunderousBlade_Lego_Ideas.lxf (Uses non-existent colour bricks) Hope you enjoy it! Was interested in this scene since 2002.
  10. Hi guys, here is a little MOC I made of my favourite star wars poster, the Episode 1 teaser poster entitled 'Every Saga Has A Beginning' DSC_2328 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr I loved the poster, thought it was so evocative and I wanted to try and recreate it in lego as a 3d Model. 2016-11-21_02-01-55 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The shadow was a bit tricky at first but I am pretty happy with how it turned out - if anyone has any other ideas on how to improve it I would love to know! Episode 1 - teaser by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Anyway, there isnt much to this post as there is really only one angle this MOC works! Hope you enjoy and any feedback, comments and advice welcome. Thanks

    [MOC] Coruscant Hi-Rise,

I started this massive project in the summer of 2014 but took a year-long hiatus to let it collect dust in my parents' house, only to finish it a year later. I had the most fun trying to fit all of the scenes I could into the buildings. It was challenging to light the whole thing, as well as finding a way to build it as tall as possible. In addition to inspiration I drew from the prequel trilogy, the Old Republic video games provided some neat ideas, mainly in the likeness of the citizens roaming the streets and a couple of the rooms. I tried to echo some of the classic visuals from Blade Runner and similar "cyber-slum" design motifs. Enjoy, leave feedback, and if you want to see more, hit that Flickr link! https://www.flickr.com/gp/124383383@N04/Y5eu42 Cheers! Finn Yours truly!
  13. Review comes form my blog legopo30.blogspot.com Series: Star Wars, Epizode III Year: 2014 Set: 75038 PCS: 223 (BL 215) Minifigs: 2 PPP: 0,13 € Model weight: 0,190 kg Set weight (box with parts and instruction): 0,352 kg Alternative build: no Price: £19.99 / $24.99 / 29.99€ Parts list - Bricklink - Brickset The Box The obverse of box measuring 26 x 19 x 6 cm the main part of the front we can see a picture of the finished model, in the background you can see some shots from blasters, explosions and a distant planet too. Above this scene there is a place for logos Lego, Star Wars and nicely drawn Darth Vader. In the lower left corner two figures from the kit and launchers "arrows" are shown. On the reverse side of the box are a few pictures - mostly finished model of a fighter, and information on holders for Anakin's lightsaber, movable wings and the possibility of shooting. One of the long sides of the box shows Anakin and R2-D2 in 1:1 scale. Opened box is almost full, mostly because there is air packed in bags. Here's what we find inside: - 3 bags with parts numbered from 1 to 3 - Unsecured instructions - Unsecured sheet of stickers. Dominant colors here are Yellow and Light Bluish Grey. The set includes new elements (in 2014 were new): 15301c01 - Dark Bluish Gray Spring Shooter with Light Bluish Gray Top - 2 pcs 10312pb01 - Trans-Black Windscreen 10 x 6 x 3 - 1 pc 98138pb020 Light Bluish Gray Tile, Round 1 x 1 with SW Republic Pattern - 2 pcs 15303 - Trans-Bright Green Bar 8L with Round End - 3 pcs This part was published in 2014, but I'm not sure whether it made its debut in this particular model. Minifigs are also new: Anakin Skywalker figure is unique. Printed on both sides of his head is unique, torso as well. R2-D2 is a new figure, ever since it was in six sets. Instruction has rectangular shape with a length of 19.5 cm and a width of 12.5 cm. It consists of 68 pages, where beside the building process there is a place for the list of items and advertising. Finished model Construction of the model is quite easy - manual is very detailed. Construction took me an hour and a half (but filmed building, which slightly increases time of construction). The first stage of construction, with first bag has 21 steps, the second and third have 27 steps each. Subscribe if you liked. Thank you! Spare parts Finished model Comparision with 75135 Cockpit older model is made better, much better. Not only that, we have a sticker with an imitation of the controls and the portion of the cockpit, the designers have thought of holders for the lightsaber. In the picture below you can see that newer cockpit is poorer, and the lightsaber can be put in place, which is - in this position cabin can be closed. The older model also better positioned astrorobot - not sticking out so tragically as 75135. Summary Pros + Aesthetics + Faithful reproduction of the original + Attention to detail + Minifigs Cons - Lack of some kind of stand, through which you can present a beautiful model in all its glory. Hi res photos: flickr.
  14. Hello, everyone! A while back I made a model of Anakin Skywalker's Podracer in LDD. It was heavily-based on the 2011 edition of the set. This version that I am presenting you now is an original design of mine, I think it is much more accurate and detailed than my original concept. I rendered the picture in Bluerender. The model has 187 pieces. Please offer any comments, criticisms, or praises! AnakinPodracerV2.lxf
  15. Hi all again, This was my entry for the TechLug contest number eleven. The goal was to create a 12x12 vignette repesenting a lightsaber duel. I have chosen MOCing the one opposing Anakin and Dooku on Geonosis. Here are the pictures, you will find some explications at the end of the thread. As you can see, I've tried to build the major elements of the scene as the cable on the ground, barrels, some rocks.... I had one day to achieve my entry, which explains the presence of LBG, which don't make think that the scene is playing in a rocky hangar, only represented thanks to a big brown metapiece. The light of the hangar was interesting, so I decided to show three lamps, with greebles (plates modified and bars in this case), to get a more eye-catching render. Anakin and Dooku are home maded minifigs. Technically, I used SNOT for the base, that is a quarter stud to wide ang long. The main problem also is the colour sheme I applied beause of my own pieces making the vignette loosing a lot of credibility. Still, I am happy having be able to participate to this contest, despite my result : the last place. Even if my creation is from far not perfect, what do you think of it ? You can ge bigger pictues on my Bricksafe or on my Brickshelf gallery.
