  1. How about that little cross between mud and go on the rocks? Crawler 4x4 always ready for it! Still would!     Hello community, here i am! My real name is Stephan, but online i prefer the nickname Nura. I am 27 years old and live in Berlin, Germany. My dark ages ended with the lego technic set 8258 during my studies. This was 7 years ago. A lot of lego technic sets and fun building later I started my first own creation. Listening to Sariel I choosed a small and easy project without complex mechanism to get the first success. So I got my version of the Volkswagen Polo R WRC, you see below. I will make a discription later. My plan for the future is too build some more cars and maybe construction machines. I joined this community to find more AFOLs and to get a lot of building skills. Ah, bricksafe is working. :-) Stay creative!
  3. Hello all! It's been a while, I posted here anything, but now I'll try to upload my works more recently. I start with this Unimog 401, which is the oldest Unimog with Merecdes-Benz star. This one has also an "Ochsenkopf" (ox head) in the hood, which was later removed in the next generations. The building time took about 2 weeks at all, and this is my first model which got the special dark green color, to get close to the original's painting. I ordered several types of these bricks, more models will come in this color. I chosed for building the 1:7 scale, with the 108 mm RC4WD rock crusher XT wheels. They aren't Lego, but as far as I can see nowadays it's normal in tyres, and the look is better imho with these. Goals: Llooking and working authentically, as close as possible to the real thing, beside of off-road capabilities and remote control. Main functions: Motorized: driving, steering, gear change Automatic: steering wheel, piston engine, PTO in front and rear Manual functions: openable hood, doors, rear side Working: One Lego PF L motor drives, one M steers. The 2 speed linear gearbox is operated by a M motor. Steering wheel and suspension also works. The original has rigid axles with torque tubes, so I chosed also them. Four of 8466's springs were taken apart, so I got 4 coil springs to get the authentical look in machinery of axles. I also attached differential imitating disks. The rear view mirrors work a little. One L motor drives the whole thing, it's sliding in two axles, because of the 2 speed (1:3 and 1:1 ratios) linear gearbox. This way there is no need for driveshaft length adjuster between the driving motor, and the incoming axle of the gearbox, but the rear PTO has one from 6 holed pulleys. There is a PTO also in the front with a pulley, like in the original. The working L4 piston engine has mini pistons from 2L axles and half bushes. Details: I wanted to build as details as possible both inside and outside, like: detailed interior, steering wheel, stickers (for instruments too), gear change levers in the cab, handbrake lever, mudguards seen from inside, fuel tank, number plates, lights, seats, rear wood cover, detailed engine room, tanks for brake, exhaust, etc. Pictures I made it in the winter season, that's why you can see snow as background: https://www.flickr.c...157667176594155 http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=563725 With dark green wheel covers: There are anti-roll bars to prevent rolling, the vertical 6L links connect them with the axles: The diff imitators: Of course I made a video, too: Hope you like it.

  6. I was always inspired by the multi-functionality of backhoe's, and I always imagined ways to improve upon it and now I finally did. In this MOC I challenged myself to make the most multi-functional vehicle I could, using all the motors and sbricks I had, naturally I ended up buying more motors XD The final build includes 17 LEGO power functions motors (5XL motors, 6L motors and 6M motors), 4 LEGO power functions lights and 1 DIY LEGO laser! It's powered by 4 LEGO PF battery boxes, controlled by 5 SBricks and operated by a 20 channel SBrick profile. The drill/laser arm is operated by 5 channels 1 channel for rotating the arm (PF XL motor) 1 channel for tilting the arm out (PF L motor) 1 channel for extending the forearm (PF M motor) 1 channel for spinning the drill head (PF M motor) 1 channel for activating the DIY LEGO laser (TOPIC HERE) The excavator arm is operated by 4 channels 1 channel for rotating the arm (PF XL motor) 1 channel for tilting the arm out (PF L motor) 1 channel for extending the forearm (PF M motor) 1 channel for moving the bucket (PF M motor) the bulldozer scoop is operated by 2 chanels 1 channel for raising and lowering the scoop (PF M motor) 1 channel for tilting the scoop (PF M motor) The crane is operated by 3 channels 1 channel for rotating (PF M motor) 1 channel for extending the crane (PF L motor) 1 channel for operating the winch (PF L motor) The plow/ trailer hook is operated by 1 channel 1 channel for lowering and raising the plow (PF M motor) The drivetrain is operated by 3 channels 2 channel for driving forwards and backwards (2x PF XL motor) 1 channel for steering (PF XL motor) The lighting is operated by 2 channels 1 channel for headlights 1 channel for rearlights Weight: 4.6KG Length: 62cm With: 32cm Height: 31cm building time: 4 weeks A special thanks goes out to my friend Bas for helping me edit and my amazing girlfriend for her everlasting support.

I have been shamelessly plugging the Lego Technic 42042 Crawler Crane over in the "What should I buy" thread here at Eurobricks but I just came across a new reason to buy it that I thought was relevant to a more general audience. A company in Europe called PV Productions has created a C-Model that is a GBC contraption. (No relation, ownership nor knowledge of who they are.) calls it a D Model because he has two GBC C models created from the set, but only the D Model is available for purchase now... and purchase it, I did! My seven year old son is into small Lego Techic models as he doesn't have enough patience to build the 1,000+ piece models, but after showing him the video, he wants to build it with me this weekend. Only problem... I don't own any of the Lego soccer or basketballs that are used for GBC models and I have no desire to pay the crazy $2.50+ costs per ball!! I've attached a video below (I assume that's okay) to the Youtube video he created of the D model. I'll be picking up the C-Model as soon as it's available for purchase. He also has pending future GBC models for sales that are all C Models of 42043, 42054 and another that is a 2 set C Model but I cannot recall which... Watch the video and you want to buy the set and want to figure out how to buy some Lego balls or alternatives. If soeone has a good recommendation for an alternate source, I would love to know it. Update: just checked my Paypal receipt and the PV stands for Phillip Verbeek, I think.

  9. Hello dear EB members, it really has been too long since I posted anything from my hands, but that only means I am lazy posting - not building. There are several creations I would like to publish ASAP, so here is the first one: The Dark Side of the Force never rests, so must not Lord Vader himself. Although he is strong with the Force, he is pretty tired after full 6 days of pedalling on two of our LUG's events in October and start of December. I give you The Dark Side Of Exercise. I got the idea a long time ago and got extra inspired by Jason Alleman a.k.a. JK Brickworks and his moving masterpieces - especially the Sizifus. After thinking about it for too long, I finally bought the 75111 Darth Vader set, which had to be modified quite a lot on the inside - outside remains the same. All the skeleton with bionicle ball joint parts was replaced by technic axles and u-joints in order to get a freely movable body. A free rotation of hips, shoulders and waist was also necessary. Free movement of ankles anf wrists is provided with bar pieces (I admit I cut 4L bars into 2L bars - I never thought I was capable of such horid acts ) Pedalling torture device was a bit more of a challenge. The main problem was getting all the necessary motion from rather spacious pedestal to a slim orbitrek body. I am pretty happy with the outcome, even though the gearing in the pedestal is a mess. The main goal was to get the body in its highest position twice in one revolution of the pedals. The gear ratio between those two is therefore 2:1 and they have to be synchronised so that the body is at its highest when the pedals are horizontal. The rest of the body motion is provided by linkages amongst freely movable parts of the body and the orbitrek. Another part run by the same motor is the big wheel, which is propelled by a small wheel inside the orbitrek body. This wheel is geared up a lot, so it turns fast enough. Running this MX bike wheel by contact proved to be most demanding for the whole system and caused most friction and wear of the parts and motor. A LEGO chain is not the best way to drive anything for a long time as well. You must guess it was a lot of fun to repair after it broke a couple of times during the exhibition.   11. Hi guys! Today I'm happy to show you my finished Cat ct660 truck. It have all-Wheel-drive chassis, mobular cab and Hood and it can be easily changed into a dump truck by removing the fifth Wheel to place a m motor. The truck use one servo motor for steering and two XL motor for propulsion.   14. Hi guys, today I'm happy to show you the last moc I've made to go with my Caterpillar truck. It's a Wheel loader inspired by a volvo L50g. The model is fully manual: no power function!   15. I'm very proud to show my latest MOC. The Deadly Nightshade Offroad Buggy! I've had my RC parts for over a year now and never done anything with them, so decided that it was time to build something. My goals were to create a MOC under 1kg and with super flexible suspension, with some good looks, being very low and sleek. I love the front suspension! It turned out great, very light and quite strong. The rear isn't soo good, so I might update this a bit over the week. Total weight is 960grams. Front suspension travel is 5 studs. 3 sets of LED lights are used for night driving!   16. Hi! Today I’d like to present new model designed special for Pneumatic contest. It is heavy Rock Loader. At first I wanted to create tracked chassis but the final version is wheel-based. Transport dimensions: 88 x 25 x 27 cm, total weight – 5 kg (four large BBs in the tower are used as a counterweight). The model has no motors :) In the rear part of the model you can see eight pneumatic valves: - Clearance adjustment, left and right independent (six large cylinders); - Outriggers deployment (four small 11L cylinders); - Outriggers (eight large cylinders); - Superstructure rotation (+-90 degrees, two large cylinders); - Boom lifting (two large 11L cylinders); - Boom extension (two large 11L cylinders); - Bucket unloading (two large cylinders). They are VERY expensive so far, but it is real books with hard cover, not a magazine, and they have very expensive gloss fotopaper and hard cover. I sell it on amazon.com.   21. Hi guys! Today I finished another lowwww project along with Drift Van and Subaru Forester. Now it's Slammed JDM pickup. At this time, I was inspired to build a pickup Nissan Datsun (Nissan Hardbody) mid-90's in D21 body The model is based on rear-wheel drive chassis with independent suspension front and rear axle. Buggy motor is responsible for the nimble movements of pickup space, and servo motor helps to dodge all of a sudden in the way of obstacles. Controlled all so beloved by me, SBrick, and electrician feeds LiPo pack.
