    Advice for Military Moc

I've been researching miltary moc's for months now, and finally have a couple of vehicles built and I was wondering how other people would start. I have a decent sized collection and was hoping to do the moc in a grayscale (white, gray, black). I was wondering if you had any advice for moc's of any size. Thanks- kartracer21
  3. To kick off the new year, BrickWarriors just released even more WW2 accessories! Following gains on the Pacific front of World War II, the US, Britain, and other Allied nations launched a strategic takeover of the Italian island of Sicily, grabbing control from the Italians and Germany to open up sea lanes in the Mediterranean and disrupting German campaigns on the Eastern Front. Today, BrickWarriors introduced the British Sapper accessories in honor of the success of this major European gain: -Allies Grenade -British Rocket -British Rocket Launcher -British LMG -British Revolver There were mass atrocities committed during World War II. But one of the most egregious was the Commando Order issued by Germany, in which any Allied forces be killed on sight even if they surrendered, completely contradictory to the laws of war. The Germans felt this necessary after countless raids on their territories and subsequent perceived mistreatment of German forces taken by these raiding Commandos. Today, the new British Commando accessories land on BrickWarriors: -Commando Cap -Commando Knife -Harpoon Gun -Oxygen Tank -Commando Carbine With the Americans now landed in Europe, Operation Torch was carried out on Northern Africa to fortify the Allies position from the south before taking Germany head-on, helping to alleviate the pressure on the Soviets on the Eastern Front. This campaign cleared the Mediterranean more completely in combination with the taking of Italy, a strategic move to keep supplies flowing as the Allies advanced on Germany. Today, BrickWarriors is excited to release our US Mortar Man accessories and torso: -Mortar Tube -Mortar Shell -Binoculars -Mortar Man Torso

  5. Been working on this one for over a year. It is almost in a state where I will be comfortable bringing it out to shows with my LUG. The majority of the weapons and gear are brickarms and sourced through various retailers. Will post some better shots when I have time for a proper shoot after total completion. Any and all feedback would be appreciated.
  6. So, some years ago a Russian toy company TEHNOLOG released a tabletop wargame "MechBat" (Mechanical Batallion). It featured two groups of four Mechs battling each other along with squads of tiny soldiers. At the time, I loved the game, especially because it was not restricted to any kind of gaming board so I could come up with all kinds of crazy landscapes, scenarios and special rules. Each of the four Mech figurines had detachable arms and back pieces that symbolized their weaponry and special systems. My two favorites were Barbarian, armed with missile launcher and power fist, and Predator, armed with minigun and a laser cannon. Thanks to my friend @Garry_rocks I was recently reminded of the existence of MechBat and our conversations inspired me to recreate my favorite mechs in LDD. Here is how the original minis looked like: I took the respective color schemes from the picture and applied them to my models: [Render] MechBat - Barbarian and Predator by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr Here are Barbarian and Predator separately: [Render] MechBat - Barbarian by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr LDD Screenshot [Render] MechBat - Predator by Artemiy Karpinskiy, on Flickr LDD Screenshot * * *Now folks remember, if you like what I do and you want to see me create your OC, a favorite Bionicle Character, or something else, feel free to look up my Commission Info! [O - F04] Ride the Comet

Log Entry Begin user://AdenCorso Water is sometimes tricky. Shipped in liquid form, it sloshes around and can throw even the most finely-tuned set of compensators into chaos. It takes up more volume than when frozen as well, which means your profits will be marginal. Getting liquid water from a planet's surface also means burning a brick-ton of fuel, which means those marginal profits are now minimal (if you even manage to break even). This is why most ice-mining takes place in any particular system's asteroid belt. Every ship and every station needs water to function - either for its crew to drink, or separated into its constituent parts of O2 and H, the one for breathing, the other for reaction mass. walk by Norseman, on Flickr Given that those same asteroids are often well-patrolled to stem off illegal mining operations by the system's parent Corp explains why I am currently riding a comet headed out-system at more than 40 kilometers per second, more than 3 AUs from Illustria's star. You see, this far from a sun, any water on a comet has frozen and is no longer billowing out in its telltale plume. Comet tails are formed when rising heat from nearing a star causes ice to evaporate, the resultant ejecta always pointing away from the sun. I should be safe this far out from any surprise geysers under my feet. At least I hope so. Although... Flyby by Norseman, on Flickr Apparently I'm not far enough to avoid every MANTIS patrol... Luckily it's an older ship, a Lycidae-class corvette. I've flown against them before, in the Milky Way. They were outdated even back then. Now they are positively antiquated. Their sensors rely mostly upon line-of-sight LADAR, but their resolution is poor and my thermal signature is small enough to hopefully pass without notice. With my ship hidden away in cold sleep mode deep in a fissure, all I need to do is tuck myself against this wall and... hide by Norseman, on Flickr All clear. searching by Norseman, on Flickr I have nothing against MANTIS. I run across them here on the fringe all the time. They run Illustria now, after all. But just because they tolerate my being here as an Octan contractor doesn't mean that I won't come across some loose-cannon, fly-boy captain who would rather shoot than take a bribe. As it lies, every bribe I need to pay cuts into my profits even more, and my profits on this already won't be anything to brag about. The penny-pinching administrators of Port Farhome will see to that... ice by Norseman, on Flickr Here we are. cutting by Norseman, on Flickr Now all I've got to do is do some clever carving... Don't want to bury myself in ice after all, or my popsicle corpse could be part of the comet's tail the next time it swings back in-system in another four hundred years or so. I'd much rather avoid that. spoils by Norseman, on Flickr Alright, two blocks down, only about twenty to go. This is going to take a while, I think. Luckily, I've nowhere else to go, nowhere else to be. Log Entry End This is my first entry, so I'm still a bit unsure of what tags I should include. Can I get a bit of help? Also, pardon the cat hair. It gets everywhere!
  8. Hello Community Today i started a BIG Project. I´ll try to build it as near as possible to the original. Thanks to IVECO they show the details of this truck on their Webpage. (I found it only in german) Functions planned: AWD Pendular Suspension It has leafsprings in real life. I know leafsprings are possible. But not in my scale i believe... But i´ll try When i can´t reaplicate them i will use springs instead 3. Because my last big project failed because of the weight (and broken universal Joints ) i will build in only 1 BB, 2XL, 1 Servo Tires: I think these tires look great and fit the tireprofile realy well. Wheelhubs: I made some heavyduty Wheelhubs for my truck. LXF Updates coming soon. Improvements, Suggestions and Critic are welcome!
  9. Fictional background info: Built in 1919 by the evil country of OGEL, the Vladek is a diesel powered battle cruiser originally intended for use by finding enemy ships and sinking them with it's nine guns on three turrets. This ship was finished too late to serve in World War I, and so sat until 1922, when Lord Sam Sinister manged to convince the mysterious leader of OGEL to let him borrow it to scourer the globe looking for valuable and dangerous artifacts of immense power. The Vladek has been Sam's base of operations in several campaigns such the Orient Expedition and Dino Island, and he has the full might of the OGEL military behind him as his personal army. Only time will tell if that is enough to stop Johnny Thunder and his pals! In the Real world: This Adventurers-style ship happens to be based off set 3829, Fire Nation Ship from a decade ago. (2006) The ship is 85 studs long, while being made to be 20 bricks in height and 16 studs in width. The ship is modular, with the roof and bridge removable from the war room and each other. The menacing skull on the bow of the battlercruiser signifies it's evil captain and crew! The bow, or front, of the ship is tapered to a point much like on my 1920's Tramp Steamship. while the stern (or rear) is pretty flat. The name "Vladek" should go on the exposed studs back of the ship, as that's the vessel's name. (I haven't got those letters yet!) The vessel features two funnels and room in the lower level for the war room, complete with a large map table. The upper floor features the wheel and a nautical telegraph. The ship has three turrets with three barrels each that can elevate up and down or rotate left to right. The crew of the battle-cruiser Vladek is on the right, while Captain Hawkins is on the left. As usual, comments, questions, or complaints are always welcome! EDIT: This vessel's was constructed just today, 1/4/17, and the page has been restructured once more. I hope you like it!
  10. This project started last December and progress were averaging at one bot per month. After 7 months of gruelling yet challenging efforts, Liokaiser is finally done. However , back then (end of June) ... I was given a chance to showcase my LEGO transformers at a local store , so Liokaiser was whisked there for a month (video link below). After a month , he was put in storage as I was busy with another LEGO TF project. I'd guess I better put a closure to this now .So there :) >> As a LEGO combiner of this size, (more than 1.5 feet tall)... he is top heavy, so he can't be posed in more elaborate manner. Too much stress were imposed on the hinges . :| >> Due to complexity of individual bot , merging them to form Liokaiser caused a few weak points in connections. I'm forced to apply extra scaffoldings in a few areas to reinforce these connections, so that posing him about would not topple him over . >> Yes, it's SEVEN breastforce members I mentioned just now. In the original cartoon, Deathcobra was the 7th member of Breastforce (forming the arm) but was killed early in the show. So here, I decided to pay homage to this character by having him as a helicopter that transforms/separates into components for the combiner: Hands, head and a gun. If you wish to view more photos of Liokaiser and the whole breastforce team (more than 200 photos!) , the following blog link is a good starting point: http://alanyuppie.blogspot.com/2016/09/lego-breastforce-combiner-liokaiser.html As a LEGO TF builder, this project really pushes my limits and skills (and patience.. gawd... finding ways to merge the upper body was simply taxing). OK now I need find ways to outdo myself again. Lemme think what else I can build next. Thanks for viewing!! :)
  11. (Mods, please note I wasn't sure where to put this, as it's a train / western / comic starring a few licensed Disney characters. Please put it where you think it should go!) In this thrilling tale of 60 miles-per-hour high speed adventure, the outlaw Blackheart Gang) switches a weapons-laden military train onto the same track as a unscheduled special, with disastrous consequences! See each sequence of this horrifying tale in colorized photographs and you too will ride the midnight train to Adventure! 7:07 PM - Denver Colorado: The military train pulled by engine 1 is heading out of the yard and onto the main line towards San Francisco. It is crewed by a small group of soldiers, plus fireman Samuel McGee and engineer Joseph W. Jackson. 8:00PM - Carson City, Nevada In another rail yard, the crew of the unscheduled special charter train pulled by loco number 3 is making sure the engine is spotless and ready to pick up it's party of potential railroad investors. The train is supposed to pass trough Fort Legoredo at 9:30 that evening, where it will let the military train pass by on a side track. 8:40PM - Fort Legoredo While making his hourly rounds, the station master of the Fort's railway station is ambushed by three Blackheart Gang members, and he is relieved of his switch keys. While trying to escape, he trips on an exposed rock and falls, where upon he is then shot dead. 9:23PM The switches are set for the freight train to fall into the hands of the gang, when a different whistle is heard from the other end of the track causing the bandits to hurriedly switch the tracks back to allow the special to pass by. 9:30PM With both train approaching the same switch at the same time, the gang works quickly to allow the passenger train pass by, but still diverting the convoy train. 9:32PM The engineer and fireman of the military train see what is about to happen and jump to the ground with the iron steed still powering on towards the switched track! 9:40PM The train reaches the end of the side track and derails, with steam and steel flying everywhere. Horses and cannons are sent scattered across the tracks, and the sleeping soldiers on-board will never wake again. 10:20PM After stealing all they and their horses can carry, the Blackheart gang set the steam engine to explode, then set off into the darkness. A posse rides out later that night from the local village to check out what made the explosion and they discover the gristly wreck. Meanwhile, out in the desert, the Blackheart gang begin to plan their next move. THE END Any and all thoughts, comments, complaints, and questions are welcome. This non-moving picture was shot on three 6 x 3 foot tables with a cell phone camera and no special effects... just so you know. Thanks for reading!!

    [MOC] HMMWV Humvee

My 2009 Humvee design has remained virtually unchanged for a long time, but I've finally decided to upgrade it to a new version. The most significant change is the reduced wheelbase which greatly improves its overall proportions. While this involved removing the two seat pieces in the rear of the cabin, the model still fits four figures plus the gunner. Other improvements include a redesigned front hood, and removal of the black stripe that used to run along the sides under the roof. The design features opening doors, engine cover, and rear hatch, and the model is readily modifiable between regular (slope-backed) and command (square-backed) variants, each of which can be stripped down to Spec Ops configurations (with doors and hatches removed and smoke dispensers added). Instructions are available via the link in my signature. Click the images below for the full Flickr gallery.
  19. This is my LEGO military mini figure's car from the '50's. It is supposed to have a bunch of printed parts on it... please see the pictures below for a picture of them all. Also, after much editing and modifying, this car can now fit a mini-figure in it: I just tested it in Lego Digital Designer. Here we see the car with it's owner, Admiral Oswald Lyons, who happens to reside on my futuristic space base with my Imperial gray scale set 9515: "the Malevolence" inspired space ship, the Nevermore. But today he's just about town in his vintage Army car. As you can see, the car features covered rear wheels and a removable roof to place a figure inside. The rear of the car. The car is supposed to have these prints on it. I don't want to add all the links from Brick Link to this page, but you can find them all under this tab in the "sand green" color section: http://www.bricklink...=P&colorPart=48 Their are missing prints in the LDD file that are detailed i this photo. They are supposed to be placed as follows: The two sand green 1x2 bricks go on the sides where the dark tan bricks are, while the sand green 1x4 tiles go where the dark bluish gray tiles are. The car maker logo is to be placed on the trunk, while the star goes on the hood. NOTE: their are 7 pages of 50 items each on this tab, but I'm pretty sure you can find these parts by the picture above and cross referencing it with Brick Link. ALSO: Their are two parts that are double in quantity, so their picture appears twice instead of once. LDD file for the car and Oswald: http://www.moc-pages...1462053664m.lxf NOTES: I will probably will build this soon, most likely during / right after May, so watch this space for real life pictures either in mid - May or early June!

    [O - H08] O.C.S. Diligence

Location: H08 Tags: Military, Spaceship Previously on The Ragnos Sagahttp://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=126578&hl= ------------------------------------------- The O.C.S. Diligence, a beauty of a vessel, First and hopefully not the last of her class. With it's Prototype Energy Core and advanced capabilities, there isn't much this 150-man vessel cannot do. This is one beauty of a ship. I can't wait to get onboard and explore it. Captain: I am Captain Thomas Duponte of the O.C.S. Diligence and you are late. Ragnos: my apologies, nobody told me I was even assigned to this vessel until 15 minutes ago. Captain: well, Chief, at least you are here now. Meet your fellow Bridge Crew, Lieutenant Cody Meirs and Lead Science Officer Frazz. Frazz: Can't talk... ...Theory needs solving. Running algorithms. Cody: Hey Chief, nice to meet you. When you've gotten settled, could you come look at my Food Dispencer. Only creates Bacon for some reason, not that that's entirely a bad thing. Captain: Now that the pleasantries are over, we should go to the bridge. Captain Duponte to the Dilligence, beam us up. 2 minutes later. Captain: Set target coordinates to 843,421 and take us out of here. ------------------------------------------- Additional pictures and the new sigfig can be found here: http://m.imgur.com/gallery/iV5Us My first Micro-Moc, think it turned out relatively well. I'm experimenting with different ways to tell the story and I'm not entirely sure this method is any good but alas, I can't get on my computer for a while and upload pictures for each character so I will leave it like this for now. My next project will be for the challenge but I'm not sure what I will build. Can't decide between a farm, a ship converted into a home or an apartment. How built up is Farmolis? Is it like a second earth or is it closer to a colony?

    USS OGEL @ Brick-a-laide

It's been a while since I've been posting on here, so I thought I'd show one of my latest builds, the USS OGEL. The images are from it's latest 'patrol' at Brick-a-laide in Adelaide, South Australia. Some information about the real ship:- Based on the United States Navy Alaska Class Battlecruisers The Alaska class consisted of six large cruisers ordered before World War II for the United States Navy. They were officially classed as large cruisers (CB), but others have regarded them as battlecruisers. They were all named after territories or insular areas of the United States, signifying their intermediate status between larger battleships and smaller heavy and lighter cruisers. Of the six planned, two were completed, the third's construction was suspended on 16 April 1947, and the last three were canceled. Alaska and Guam served with the U.S. Navy for the last year of World War II as bombardment ships and fast carrier escorts. They were decommissioned in 1947 after spending only 32 and 29 months in service, respectively. The idea for a large cruiser class originated in the early 1930s when the U.S. Navy sought to counter Deutschland-class "pocket battleships" being launched by Germany. Planning for ships that eventually evolved into the Alaska class began in the late 1930s after the deployment of Germany's Scharnhorst-class battleships and rumors that Japan was constructing a new battlecruiser class. To serve as "cruiser-killers" capable of seeking out and destroying these post-Treaty heavy cruisers, the class was given large guns of a new and expensive design, limited armor protection against 12-inch shells, and machinery capable of speeds of about 31–33 knots (36–38 mph, 58–61 km/h). Class & type: Alaska-class large cruiser Displacement: Standard: 29,779 long tons (30,257 t) Full load: 34,253 long tons (34,803 t) Length: 808 ft 6 in (246.4 m) Beam: 91 ft 1 in (27.8 m) Draft: 31 ft 10 in (9.7 m) Installed power: 153,000 shaft horsepower (114,000 kW) Propulsion: General Electric steam turbines 8 Babcock & Wilcox boilers 4 shafts Speed: 33 knots (61 km/h; 38 mph) Range: 12,000 nautical miles (22,000 km; 14,000 mi) at 15 knots (28 km/h; 17 mph) Crew: 1,517 Armament: 9 × 12-inch/50 caliber (305 mm), 12 × 5 in (127 mm) guns, 56 × 40 mm (1.6 in) guns, 34 × 20 mm (0.79 in) guns Armor: Belt: 9 in (229 mm) Turrets: 12.8 in (325 mm) Deck: 4 in (102 mm) Aircraft carried: 4 More images available at -

    HMS Enterprize (1774)

[/url] Hi all, this is my first sailing ship in at least 30 years. But I went all-in. This is also the first adult MOC for which I have bought "my own" bricks, rather than relying on whatever (admittedly copious) odds and ends my sons had lying around at a given moment. Anyway, my creation is a fully-rigged minifig-scale (1:38.4) historical LEGO model of the 6th-rate frigate HMS Enterprize (also spelled as Enterprise), launched in 1774. I know that class is a bit "over-exposed," but the size was right (the end result is 5 feet long bowsprit to boom, just possible for me to lift), the plans were readily available on the web, and it's a lovely ship. My intent with it was to meld model and toy--it has a lot of working features and internal play spaces. In this post I'm basically just going to focus on some of my favorite pictures, rather than bogging down in a lot of text. But if you are interested there is more to see: - I have a ton of pictures on Flickr with info in many of the descriptions: https://www.flickr.com/photos/136587164@N02/collections/72157664502401642/ - I have a MOCPages page with more info: http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/426851 Also, I'm happy to answer any questions here. And if there are picture angles or subjects that I neglected, let me know and I will snap them while I still have my photo setup in place. I hope you will like my product, it's been about 8 months of work. Throughout that process, seeing what is being done on the Pirates board here has been a big source of encouragement!
