  1. “Mr. Horton,” Captain Matthew Hawes said as he crossed the gun deck of the old galleon. “How is the refit coming along?” “Slowly and expensively sir,” said Horton. “It seems more of her is rotted through than anticipated. At this rate, we’d likely been better served to have purchased a new ship outright.” “Perhaps, but this particular ship has something to offer that others cannot.” Captain Hawes said as he ran his hand along the grain of an old plank softened by the sea. Horton furrowed his brow. “What’s that sir?” Captain Hawes paused before turning to leave. “A story to tell.” I am currently building a Class 5 or 6 galleon named "The Rosa Lee" and since it is taking more time (and costing far more money) than anticipated, I figure I'd post several little narratives along the way to show off the progress I've made thus far. More stories and images coming soon!

    Series: A Brickish Space Comic

Hi, I recently started a comic with Lego space :http://abrickishspac...ic.webcomic.ws/ I will update this thread whenever I make a new comic. New strips will be added every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Any C&C would be greatly appreciated.
  4. Hi all I have recently won runner-up in Rebrick's LEGO Batman Returns to the Justice League contest and wanted to share the entry with you! In this contest, you had to create a comic strip no longer than five panels showing how Batman might return to the Justice League after the events of The LEGO Batman Movie. It sounded like fun, so I entered! I used LEGO Digital Designer and Bluerender to create the background of the Fortress of Solitude and photographed real minifigures, cut them out, and placed them over it. I tried to make their poses as expressive as I could, so I popped arms and legs out to achieve poses minifigures cannot usually make, just as is done in the LEGO films. I also erased parts of their faces while editing and gave them custom expressions, and added a slight blue glow to Batman's eyes. Also, the lines coming out from behind Batman in the third panel were photographed "antenna" pieces. I'm really happy to have been selected as a winner of the contest, and I hope you enjoy the comic! Thank you!

    [MOC] Toola The Frozen Tundra

Hi everyone, today we have a MOC on a rarely seen planet when it comes to both Star Wars Lore and Lego. This MOC takes place during the final hours of the clone wars and was more of a MOC where I could test some building techniques. Any constructive criticism and a rating would be appreciated. Thanks
  6. Unfortunately nobody has responded to my original German-speaking question in another (German) Lego forum. I try it here: Hello Although I myself have quite a lot of nerdiness to me, technical interests and hobbies, a certain film genre and hobbies that a "serious" adult should not have (?), I can start with the whole superhelden area, the starwarsfilms and also similar series little. Somehow I find the stories boring, very simplistic, humorless, politically far too correct and often too simple knit. Therefore, my question to the older fans (older in the sense of: Having a family of their own, have already participated in the professional life for a long time, the first destiny and crises have brought about, interested in "real" social / political issues - not only image newspaper and Facebook ...): What fascinates you at the superheldenstory, whether film, serial or comic? What is so special for you on Star Wars and similar film series? (No, I'm not interested in why Star Wars is better than Enterprise Enterprise, Battlestar Galactica, or is not). Signature: My nickname which I use in that forum. This text I have automatically translated with the Google translator. Lapidem
  7. (Mods, please note I wasn't sure where to put this, as it's a train / western / comic starring a few licensed Disney characters. Please put it where you think it should go!) In this thrilling tale of 60 miles-per-hour high speed adventure, the outlaw Blackheart Gang) switches a weapons-laden military train onto the same track as a unscheduled special, with disastrous consequences! See each sequence of this horrifying tale in colorized photographs and you too will ride the midnight train to Adventure! 7:07 PM - Denver Colorado: The military train pulled by engine 1 is heading out of the yard and onto the main line towards San Francisco. It is crewed by a small group of soldiers, plus fireman Samuel McGee and engineer Joseph W. Jackson. 8:00PM - Carson City, Nevada In another rail yard, the crew of the unscheduled special charter train pulled by loco number 3 is making sure the engine is spotless and ready to pick up it's party of potential railroad investors. The train is supposed to pass trough Fort Legoredo at 9:30 that evening, where it will let the military train pass by on a side track. 8:40PM - Fort Legoredo While making his hourly rounds, the station master of the Fort's railway station is ambushed by three Blackheart Gang members, and he is relieved of his switch keys. While trying to escape, he trips on an exposed rock and falls, where upon he is then shot dead. 9:23PM The switches are set for the freight train to fall into the hands of the gang, when a different whistle is heard from the other end of the track causing the bandits to hurriedly switch the tracks back to allow the special to pass by. 9:30PM With both train approaching the same switch at the same time, the gang works quickly to allow the passenger train pass by, but still diverting the convoy train. 9:32PM The engineer and fireman of the military train see what is about to happen and jump to the ground with the iron steed still powering on towards the switched track! 9:40PM The train reaches the end of the side track and derails, with steam and steel flying everywhere. Horses and cannons are sent scattered across the tracks, and the sleeping soldiers on-board will never wake again. 10:20PM After stealing all they and their horses can carry, the Blackheart gang set the steam engine to explode, then set off into the darkness. A posse rides out later that night from the local village to check out what made the explosion and they discover the gristly wreck. Meanwhile, out in the desert, the Blackheart gang begin to plan their next move. THE END Any and all thoughts, comments, complaints, and questions are welcome. This non-moving picture was shot on three 6 x 3 foot tables with a cell phone camera and no special effects... just so you know. Thanks for reading!!

  9. Presenting my LEGO Mighty Micro interpretation of the Ghostbusters (1984) Ecto-1! Ghostbusters, Ecto-1 (Mighty Micro) by Adeel Zubair This recreation of the Ecto-1 as a Mighty Micro was quite simple to design. It's ironic that the back of the model is the highlight of the whole model. I'm pretty sure you can guess what pieces were used at the front. NB - I didn't post a main photo of this MOC as it was a rather dull photograph, I attempted it several times and it just wasn't working. Thankfully the back came out perfectly! It's perspective and angle looks quite Chibi and comical with the right side wheels getting pressed into the ground as the Ecto-1 comes in to action! More Mighty Micros: www.flickr.com/photos/115928480@N03/sets/72157668082919843 Feedback and criticism is much appreciated. Adeel

  11. I've started a comic based on the events post-Episode VII. It's a comedy, but some strips will be quite serious. I'll try and update on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, but as life can get hectic, I may miss some updates. http://thebrickawakens.webcomic.ws/ Comments and Criticism is welcome. Thanks.

    [ESL-FB3] How to Steer (Comic)

Here is the big question (and a possible answer to it) how to steer a Balloon/Phlogisphere/Ballhover - presented as a photo-comic: (Hawksbrooke is meant to spell Hawksbrugh but the painter did not know that) Prithee, here is a fine picture of the new Eslandolean Ballhover: I hope you find this enjoyable - C&C welcome!
  13. Rasmus Klump is a Danish comic created in 1951 and still very popular. The series tells the adventures of the bear cub Rasmus Klump and his friends: Pingo (a penguin), Pelle (a pelican), Skæg (a seal) and others. Always dressed in red dungarees with white polka dots, Rasmus Klump travels the world on board his boat Mary, which he builds with his friends in the first episode. At home Rasmus Klump's mother always bakes pancakes to Rasmus Klump and his friends. Rasmus Klump is known as Petzi in Germany and many other countries. In Sweden he is known as Rasmus Nalle. This LEGO layout is bulit by 5 Danish LEGO fans in 2015: Anne Mette Vestergård, Helgi Toftegaard, Henrik Kunz, Jakob Hestbæk and Lasse Vestergård. Video: Anne Mette Vestergård has built: Rasmus Klump's house and the haunted castle. Jakob Hestbæk has built: Egypt, the boat Mary, the train in the rail wheel and the brown ship house. Henrik Kunz has built: The North Pole Helgi Toftegaard has built: The pink house with the mill and the hot air balloon Lasse Vestergård has built: China, the lighthouse, the whale and some of the small islands. Movement and Mindstorms programming is made by Helgi Toftegaard and his students from Specialisterne. The Music in the video is the song from the Danish Rasmus Klump cartoon from the 1990s. The layout is not the first time I have built something from the Rasmus Klump comics. In January 2015, I built these large figures of Rasmus Klump and his friends:

  17. I've recently been considering making a Star Wars comic based on the events post Episode VII, although they'd be preposterous events that 100% won't happen in Episode VIII. Anyway, I was wondering how long Episode VII must be out for until writing about its events isn't considered a spoiler. No one cares when people write about Darth Vader being Luke's father, and that's a far bigger event than any in the new movie. I could put a warning of spoilers at the start of the comic, although I'm not sure how effective that would be. Also, I'm awful at thinking up comic names, so if anyone has an idea for the name of a Star Wars based LEGO comic, I'd love to hear it.

    Hilarious comic!

Just found this awesome comic! http://tapastic.com/series/RollplayersInc It's a webcomic about a group of geeks playing RPG oldschool entirely made out of lego (except the introduction that was hand drawn) It even got some animated frames and stuff. Worth checking out!
  19. This my first MOC I've posted on here. I have already posted this same MOC on Lego Ideas. The TV show Gotham on Fox is about Gotham City before Bruce Wayne becomes Batman. The scene this Lego Creation shows is from episode 17: Red Hood. It shows how the Red Hood gang has robbed a bank, and Detective Gordon and Harvey Bullock are trying to stop them. I created minifigures versions of many important characters in Gotham. The minifigures not on the black stand are Detective Gordon, Harvey Bullock, a civilian, The Red Hood, and a member of the Red Hood gang. On the black stand, from left to right, the minifigures are Bruce Wayne (Batman), Selina Kyle (Catwoman), Oswald Cobblepot (The Penguin), Edward Nygma (The Riddler), Victor Zsasz, Johnathan Crane (The Scarecrow), and Jerome (The Joker?). Here are some more pictures. The Bank vault can open to reveal the money. If you want this to become a real Lego set, please support it at Lego ideas. Here is the URL https://ideas.lego.c...rojects/107215. Thanks for looking! Please support this creation at Lego Ideas so it can become a real Lego set!
  20. This is my MOC of the Infinities Comic Vader vs. Artoo & Threepio It tells the end of Episode V and Episode VI with R2 and C3 as Luke and Leia Vader: "See-threepio, Artoo never told you what happened to your creator." C-3PO: "He informed me sufficiently. He told me you killed him." Vader: "No... I am your creator!" C-3PO: "No... no... That's not true. That's impossible! The odds against you being my creator are..." Vader: "Search your feelings, You know it to be true." C-3PO: "Noooo!! You see, sir, shortly after the Jedi were wiped out, my memory was erased. So that could explain why I'm having difficulty verifying your statement." Artoo then comes in with a lightsaber and battles Vader

    Torture Island

Comic Good day to one and all! So this is my first MOC posting that I wanted to share. I picked this because the first post I ever saw on EB was a pirate comic, and I just saw another one today that I enjoyed. I made this late last year while designing a new Lego ship to build, and I just felt like making a comic to take a break and have some fun. I apologize for the lighting on this, I know that it is too dark on one side. Thanks, Plaid Beard

  24. Sebeus I

So a guy walks into a bar...

There was this redcoat that walked into a bar...a bluecoat bar... silly redcoats! ehem... Anyway, this bad joke isn't the real reason why I'm posting this. A while ago things weren't so good at the pirate forum, there was a huge decrease in activity. Captain Braunsfeld was very concerned about that so he sent me several PMs discussing the issue. Now I'm not really the best guy to get things going or organize things and stuff. The best I could come up with was a comic...about the decreased inactivity... Which wouldn'd have helped anyway as there wasn't anyone around to read it. Now the activity here at the pirateforum is flowering, I like this, That comic I made isn't relevant anymore but I still wanted to post it so I came up with this bad joke, This post is the execution of my masterplan . So here's the comic (beware, it will not be continued). Captain Braunsfeld was concerned about the decreasing activity at the pirateforum so he went to see his friend Sebeus... Never, it won't be continued because even I was too inactive at the time to finish this comic . I also want to use this occasion to keep the red VS blue climate alive. Yes!
