  1. This is my first moc entry in Nar Eurbrikka so if I do this wrong can someone let me know? Thanks! Marching orders: With my 3 moves We are going 1 Left and 2 down to D22. As a group of troops were sent out to receive supply's from a nearby drop ship, the odd one out gets stuck with the work. Troop discrimination is something that the empire is struggling with at the moment and the emperor is giving monthly lectures on the topic and...look this months guest speaker is Darth Vader himself (He knows a lot about discrimination, specifically age discrimination)
  2. Hey all, I recently compiles this list of building tips and tricks on how to make more advanced Lego trees. The video includes ways to build sturdier trees, ideas for adding different angles to the branches, and ways to increase the foliage of a branch. Check it out on my YouTube channel.
  3. With the Weelond regiment eliminated in group play from the Soccer Cup, Governor Willem Guilder was finally able to attend to other matters. A short trip from Trador to Hojaroja on Otoño was in order. The island was known for the fall-like coloration of the foliage of its trees, apparently due to the mineral composition of the soil. Colonel Dirk Allcock of Corrington had made some generous gifts to the settlement in the wake of Operation Pax Corlandia, and the effort to patch relations between Corrington and Eslandola deserved recognition. Guilder knew Allcock had expressed interest in studying Otoño's unique flora, so Guilder had his men dig up two saplings and pack their roots in barrels filled with local soil. "Captain Merker, please see to it that these saplings are delivered to Colonel Dirk Allcock, along with this letter expressing my gratitude for his gesture of friendship. He may be on Trador at the moment, as his team was still alive in the Soccer Cup. If he is not there, perhaps his cousin, Commander Matthew Allcock, is still there and can arrange to forward them to him. And please pass along my regrets that I am not able to deliver them personally." With that, Governor Guilder was off to attend to other matters. ----- The full build: I was happy with the effect I achieved with the uneven dock, and I think the shore and hill turned out OK as well. I'm still working on my trees; more leaf pieces would help. All C&C welcome.
  4. Windmill Heist

After all my castle builds for the Middle Earth LEGO Olympics, I decided to take a little break from the theme and do a little more with some good old Pirates. The windmill was quite fun to make, especially the windows. Pirates need food too, so when they spotted a small windmill located near the coast, a few were sent to loot it for flour. However, one of the imperial soldiers stationed in the nearby village caught sight of the thieves, and proceeded to chase them back from whence they came. Albeit, somewhat more heavily loaded with the bags of grain they had pilfered. More pictures on Brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, C&C welcome
  5. Hello LEGO fans! I want to share with my new MOC. I tried to make my LEGO railway more realistic. And that's what I did! As you can see, LEGO train tracks looks more interesting with some trees and grass. If you already have LEGO railway, try to add some objects to make it realistic. I like the result! Now my LEGO trains look great on these layouts. Have a nice day!
  6. My entry for round 4 of the Middle Earth LEGO Olympics, though I figured it fit quite well in Avalonia as well. I really enjoyed experimenting more with Elvish architecture with this build, as well as the colors and patterns. One of my main goals was to include as many non-square elements as I could, like the gardens, fountain and rounded base, which I think ended up turning out quite well. I’ll definitely be doing more elvish builds in the future, as it’s an incredibly fun style to build in and this ended up being one of my personal favorite builds of mine to date. Credit for how to fill in the rowboats goes to Simon NH, and Marcel V. and Vitreolum for the harp and lute respectively. More pictures on Brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, C&C appreciated
  7. Amon Hen

My entry for Round 3 of the Middle Earth LEGO Olympics over on MOCpages. My category this time was Amon Hen. My opponent’s homepage. I really enjoyed this build, and it was fun to do a decent sized landscape again. I was a little apprehensive about having to build so many trees, but they ended up going quite quickly. In total the build took 8 days to complete. A huge thank-you to Graham and Michael for all their support and critiques along the way, I know it wouldn’t have turned out as well without them! Lots more pictures on Brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, C&C welcome
  8. In the forest that ringed a Black Spire castle, Lord Maestro's men busied them selves constructing siege weapons. Prepared in modules back in Avalonia, soaring siege towers and devastating were slowly being pieced together (almost like Lego ). Today Lord Maestro surveyed a new contraption. Adapted from an ordinary Ballista , The Maestro's architects swore it was twice as powerful. To show their allegiance was to Avalonia they had fitted it with a Dragon head, the emblem of our their guild. A close up Looking down the barrel of the beast Entry to challenge V Category B, this was an interesting build. I have only done something like this once, and you can probably see the resemblance I hope the Dragon head looks ok to you guys, because im not completely satisfied with it. I think the landscape turned out good though, that red stuff is meant to be moss/grass. Should have Cat D up soon, C&C needed and hope you enjoy
  9. A Morning stroll

An Avalonian ranger strolls through the forest, hunting his elusive prey. Just a small build while I wait for inspiration for category B. It was nice to experiment with some tree styles, which are mainly based of SK's. Also my first build in ages that is 360 view able Hope you enjoy.
  10. Avalonian siege tower

Somewhere among the sprawling marshes of Nocturnus an Avalonian force is helping the resistance lay siege to a black spire city. Catapults hurl rocks at the attackers and arrows fall like rain. Yet the siege weapons roll on, determine to take back what is rightfully theirs. CCC XIV - Siege warfare My last entry to the CCC, my last Goh build and also my last biggish castle build in 2016. A bit rushed and very simple I think it turned out well. The trees are defiantly my favourite part. The siege tower itself is a bit eh but I didn't really have enough pieces to do a better model I think the rock and the crater-thing turned out nicely as well. I've had a blast this year on Goh and i've kind of only got you guys to blame for my increase in skill. I really appreciate the feed back you guys give me, so thanks for an amazing year and merry Christmas and have a happy new year. (Also happy Fifth Goh anniversary ) Hope you enjoy and C&C needed as always.
  11. Forest Cottage

My fourth entry to the CCC XIV, for the Woodland Hideaway category. The layout and design of the house were inspired by this image. The bottom-right window lights up, and the river is made of SNOT cheese slopes. Herbert the hermit lives in a cozy cottage nestled in the Western Woods. He lives a secluded life, preferring to spend his time tending to his gardens, and feeding his many animal friends. More pictures on Brickbuilt Thanks for looking, C&C welcome
  12. Avalonian Village

The landscape for this scene was built as a commission, and then I finished the build by adding some houses, the fences, and figure activity. After learning that medieval roads often had fences or walls to allow animals to be moved effectively, I wanted to include that detail here. Brother Steven inspired the woodwork on the water mill. This is an entry into the large miscellaneous category of the Colossal Castle Contest. Market day makes for a lot of traffic on the village road as animals are taken to be sold, or purchased and brought home. The watermill is also a popular location as villagers purchase flour and bring grain to be ground. As usual, there are more pictures on brickbuilt. Your feedback is always welcome
  13. Hi all, my daughter and I have been building a new Elves Moc - it's taken some time but it's finally ready to share. Sorry about the cropping on some of the pictures - couldn't for the life of me figure out how else to get them to show the right way up Here's 'The Crystal University' A mini version of Naidas Ship - would have liked to have used the clamshell pieces instead of the discs, but they don't come in gold Crystal Cave - this was my daughters idea - she wanted the cave to be a classroom for the students. The Observatory was also my daughter's idea. View from the back. As with our previous MOC, I wanted this to be a playset as well as something pretty to look at. It's fairly sturdy, and the main structure can stand up to little fingers without much problem (not so sure about all the leaves ) Statue of the Goddess of Knowledge (although don't blink, just to be on the safe side )
  14. Forestmen Camp

A free-build placed in Avalonia, and also part of InnovaLUG's 'Ye Old Merry Battleground' collab, for Brickfair Virginia. This was a really fun build to make, and I’m quite pleased with how it turned out. I’ll definitely be doing some more Forestmen themed builds in the future. Inspiration for the rockwork goes to Brickvader. The Forestmen's camp is hidden well in one of the many forests in Avalonia, and provides an excellent base of operations for them. They have scouts placed at various locations a little ways from the camp, and a few outside of the forest to keep an eye on the neighboring Lords and Barons of the land. Most recently, they learned of Sir Ruari Leanin leaving for a tax collecting tour, which they took full advantage of... More pictures on Brickbuilt I would like to claim UoP credit for: Geography: Forest Thanks for looking, C&C appreciated
  15. Here is my build for Barracks Phase 2. It's a bit of an unorthodox training ground, but I thought it would make sense for Mitgardian warriors to be well trained in how to survive Mitgardia's icy climate. Also, this is my unofficial entry to the Natural Beauty category of the Summer Joust. The smaller pine tree is based off of mrcp6d’s design. Part of any Mitgardian warrior’s training is to learn how to survive for days outside in the frigid cold with minimal supplies. Snow shelters offer relative warmth during the night if well constructed. More pictures: link Your comments and suggestions are always appreciated
  16. [MOC] Winter in the Woods

Hi guys! For your consideration, I've created a set I'm calling "Winter in the Woods", and put it up on LEGO Ideas. It's modeled in a similar fashion to the Winter Village series, albeit with a little more focus on the environment than the building. It's still chock full of charm, humor, and unique building techniques. If it tickles your fancy, I'd love to have your support on Ideas: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/131627 More images can be found on my flickr page: https://www.flickr.c...otos/needslego/ Thanks for checking it out. I look forward to your feedback. K
  17. Location: Jurin II - E02 Tags: Spaceship, Land vehicle, Civil Building Space over Jurin II is clear, for now, and open for Octan Pilot John Hannibal to search for his Jurin colonists. When reports of the hostile invasion came in, Hannibal feared the worst for all of the families the had recruited to Jurin II. He knew they were a hardy bunch, but the wretched outlaws of M.A.N.T.I.S. were equally horrid and violent. What they would do to a family of colonists kept Hannibal from sleeping for the last two weeks. As soon as Octan's fleet got to Donwarr, Hannibal got his cargo ship out of the system before any orbital skirmishes could close off his route. His ship was loaded with supplies, but the main objective was to pull as many women and children out of E02 before M.A.N.T.I.S. came back for more rape and pillage. "John, I'm picking up a heat signature inside, but it appears to be from the fireplace. Nothing human, that is alive at least. I'm sorry John." "What's the count up to, 14?" "15 empty homesteads John." "Well this one at least has a hot fireplace, maybe they left recently. I'm going to go check it out." "John, there's something else. Two cold-blooded life forms are in the trees. They look like octopuses." "The Jin's mentioned these before. I think they're suppose to be friendly, but I wasn't expecting them in this area. We relocated the Jins to the RTMP sector for that very reason. "Just watch my back, I'm going to see what's going on inside." "JOHN!!! STOP!!!" "Mabel?!? We've been looking for you and the colonists. Where've y'all been sweet girl?" "Oh lovely John, don't take another step, the house is a trap. Ma Jin set it when George was killed by those nasty M.A.N.T.I.S. thugs." "George is... poor Ma. Um, thanks Mabel. What kind of trap? Anything to do with the octopuses in the trees?" "Kind of, it's a really nasty trap, but their just here to clean up so we can catch more Manties. You remember those flesh eating plants on the jungle floor? Well, the Juries, those octopus guys up there, helped Ma bring some up to trap any marauders that wander up here. Between the rumors of the Jin's moonshine and the heat signature from the fireplace, I bet we've taken out more than 20 of those jerks. It's hard to tell sometimes with the way we find them." "Okay, slow down Mabel. Why don't we go sync you up with Dora and we can go find Ma." "What are you carrying back there anyway?" "Oh this? I'm in charge of moving supplies since I can lead any Manties into those plant traps. I've got mostly weapons on this trip. Just got done helping the Tysons shoot down a scout ship that had been trying to find a way to their home. A lot of the homes are further down in the canopy and hard to navigate to, not like this one, Ma wanted this spot up high so customers could find their way in." C&C appreciated. I hope you M.A.N.T.I.S. bums like the new nickname.
  18. Hello! This is my first MOC, created a few months ago using LDD. The idea is an adventuring party has set up camp for the night, and while the members make their preparations for the journey ahead, the bard plays by the fire to entertain them. I hope to build this scene "in the brick" one day, and I know there are several things I want to change already. But what I'd love is to hear from some of the expert MOCers here on ideas to improve. Please, feel free to rip it to shreds - you can't hurt my feelings. I'm just looking for ways to improve my skills. Thanks in advance everyone! 19. Garden Path Farmolis 3186 Dr. Markham blissfully walks through the Andromeda Arboretum of Farmolis's capital city without a care in the world. His job was just too good. Great paycheck... and the retirement package? Wow! Koro sensed the doctor's presence but kept focused on his meditation. He picked a spot where he knew the good doctor would see him on the way to the lab and waited for confirmation from his secretary confirming his Friday schedule. The secretary confirms, and Koro comes out of his trance. He drops down from the Torii to say hello while Dr. Markham is trying to decide what upholstery to use in his new orbital yacht. "Dr. Markham, we were just now able to schedule another spin class for Friday. Can I sign you up for the 10 am slot?" Alternate Shot: [Challenge 3][Cat. A][H06] Swift Reprisal - 2 by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr Based on mccoyed's Swift Reprisal

  21. Park Trees

I don't do many city builds, but I put these together for a DFWLUG contest and thought I'd share here. The birch/aspen tree was inspired by Miro Dudas and the evergreen used some techniques from Thorsten Bonsch. Park by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr
  22. [M - E01] Scouting Donwar

  24. [MOC] On the Hunt

My entry to Round 2 of The Tourney 2015 over on MOCpages. It would seem that the "wild boar" my character is chasing may not be as wild as he originally thought.
