  1. Hey guys! You may have seen this build on my photostream, or The Brothers Brick, but I thought I would post it here as well so the Eurobricks exclusive crowd would get to see it as well! I want to be more active on other forums besides Flickr this summer too. The nose decals are by Tbone_tbl on Flickr, I found them on MOCpages here: http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/72865 I added the door designs and sized them correctly. I made a YouTube video on my channel that showcases the models and shows how to build them check it out here: Thanks for looking!
  2. Introduction; I believe that many among us have made a MOC that they like, but think that something is missing and want to change it somehow to make it look better or emphasize in the story-telling. Among them, here I am! This MOC, follows my previous attempt and continues my story from where it was left! The Story; "...In a galaxy far, far away, somewhere in a corner of it, there is an unknown and isolated planet. Despite the initial disturbance from the clatter and thunder that unsettled the inhabitants of the planet on that festive day, the strange visitors became especially beloved by the local population. Our beloved C-3PO, despite speaking over 3 million languages and dialects, had a hard time getting in touch with them at first, but eventually succeeded and thus added another language to his database. The time was passing pleasantly as our 2 robots tried to find a way to repair their pod so they could continue their journey, enjoying their walks in the blossoming nature with the inhabitants of this isolated planet, until once again a bang and a thunder shocked the calm atmosphere that was prevailing..." I am looking forward for your comments! You can find additional pictures of my creation on my FlickR

    [MOC] Harrower Class Dreadnought

I don't have any experience with the games, but I saw a picture of the Harrower and was inspired. Aesthetically, I love the aggressive shape of the ship. The engine design is quite different from typical ISD style designs and I really like how the ship is absolutely covered with quad laser and quad turbo emplacements. Strategically speaking, this ship makes a lot more sense than "newer" Republic or Imperial style destroyer designs. A few retro improvements (in my opinion at least): - Command bridge is less exposed compared to Acclamator, Venator, Imperator - Engines are recessed and less exposed compared to Acclamator and Venator -Quad laser turrets are placed on the top and bottom sides of the hull which provides better coverage than if placed in the trenches. -The front and side hangar entrances are recessed which would give ingress and egress of fighters more protection Time will tell if I make this IRL. Either way, it was a fun little build. More views in the spoiler. Reference Image:

  7. +++ UPDATE 27/December/2016 +++ Happy holidays eurobricks! I have some new pictures of my Venator. You can check out my flickr for more pictures. I will upload more as soon as possible. First post also edited. greetings Kommander +++ UPDATE 3/December/2016 +++ Long time no see eurobricks! Today my Venator enters the sky above the ship yards of Rothana Heavy Engineering. As the project manager I proudly present you the capital ship “ATELLES”- a Venator class star destroyer. Back in 2005 when I saw the Star Wars Epi. 3 starting sequence in the theaters – I was like “I really have to build one of these giants!” Then a few years later and already earning my own money I started the wip. The plan was building a venator bigger than the Lego ISD (10030). While processing the project there were 2 points of massive improvements. Each time I change the size and the new version was bigger than the old one. The building time on the last version of the Venator I´m showing you in this thread was only about 2 years. Now be at university the time has come to finish this ship. Over the whole 7 years I ordered about 100 times at Bricklink.com. Additional to these orders I used a lot of my own bricks in storage. I don’t know how many bricks I used for the Venator. It have to be something above 45000 pieces with a weight of 65 kg. The construction of the inner structure and the frame is basically like the #10030 IDS. A structure made out of technic bricks carrying the whole ship. This technique is easy to scaling up to big dimensions. The Venator´s of Erik Varsegi and Iomedes were always leaders in supersized star destroyers and a good orientation for my project. At one point my Venator should be one of those as well and I destroyed the old version and made a bigger one. This Venator how hitting the length of 220 cm x 117 cm x 68 cm. A bit smaller than the others. However, the thing was building this ship as accurate as possible. Some details of the origin Venator from the Movie has been changed or replaced with own ideas like the frame structure at the surface. The overall impression has to match and looks smooth. For those they want to know about construction details here we go. In the middle of the ship is a massive string - the ship´s “backbone”. Different sections like the hangar or the thrusters are connected with it. The inner structure mostly consists of technic bricks, pins and plates. Simultaneously I build the “wing”-plating because the wedge-plates with their angles restrict the shape of it. And as you know the plating is a bit bigger so it can overlap the frame. The thickness of the plating is 5 layers of plates. One slope underneath and above the string create the first important angle. Each one has left and right technic bricks as well. On those the wings can be attached. Unfortunately I secured the underneath-plating with some wires because the weight was too much and I couldn´t find any alternative to fix this problem. It is the only thing that isn’t Lego. Glue also never touched this project. In every thruster is also a solid string with technic bricks. Rings consists of 8 hinge-elements are the basement for the use of round bricks for the shape. A unique technique which also looks pretty nice. To counteract a misalignment of the long thrusters I decided to install them with an increasing angle upwards. And as expected it works pretty well. The command tower as well as other sections can be detached easy. Reason behind this is of course for the transport. Next step is to exhibit this giant on events in Germany. Maybe I manage to change and improve some things unstill the first event. Finally the last step is selling this thing dissembled in components or complete as Moc. Some of you maybe discovered my litte turrents on flickr in various groups. At the beginning of the building progress in year 2008 i started with a size around 150 cm in lenght, but by passing the years i scale up the size to the Venator im showing you now. This ship hitting a lenght of 220 cm and has a width of 120 cm. Dimensions like Erik Varszegi`s Venator. Maybe a litte bit smaller. Btw. here you can see a picture of my first Venatorbuild. Looks kinda cute, isn`t it? Most things are finished...thrusters, guns, superstructure. I really can see the finish line. But this update/post is only for an overview. That means unfortunately no closeup pictures. The next and last milestone is the underside armor. In the meantime i`m going to fill the gaps and there`re still bricks that need to be changed. Before i forget; this is my flickr account: https://www.flickr.c...s/39520243@N03/ and here the original thread on IdS: http://www.imperiumd...estroyer/page-4 - Kommander

  13. This is getting out of hand, now there are three of them! Some of you might still remember this vignette: Now, I decided to make a series of Mandalorian MOCs. I noticed, that in every key moment of the show, there is a door in the scene. When we really see Mando for the first time, but also when we meet Grogu: And when they finally become "a clan of two"? There is the door with the iconic mythosaur in the background: So that's why I call it "Doors from The Mandalorian"... This is the way!

  15. The goal here was to build a MC80 flagship for my Rebel fleet that was: a) As closely to scale as possible with 6211 Star Destroyer. b) Larger (longer) than any of my other Rebel capital ships i.e. Phoenix Home or Tantive IV. The result is below, a build I will continue to preen and cycle out better parts/colors for. I think there should be a smattering of more small orange pieces. I am more concerned with how it looks on the shelf now than with any screen accurate considerations. But it does scale very nicely with the Star Destroyer so far (pic to come). The engines are a little... large. Truth is, those blue minifig stands for Lego Dimensions are way more useful to me in a build like this. I will likely shrink the main rear engines somehow but I also need to figure out how to add the other dual engine pods on either side behind each large shuttlebay. There isn't any inside space, but I do display it with my A Wings, B Wings and next to the bridge part of 7754 Home One Mon Calamari Star Cruiser so it looks good with lots of Rebels hanging out in front of it. Would like to hear any suggestions builders may have on improving it. I was only using my spare parts for this so I could certainly invest in some better components for it someday. Thanks for looking.

  17. Edited Nov´21 Hello folks, Rogue One, a absolute stunning movie (in my opinion), gave us this great designed, whale-shaped Flagship. It is like a combination between classic McQuarrie concepts as well as modern military submarines. The instructions are now avaiable at Brickvault: https://www.brickvault.toys/products/mc-75-star-cruiser-confidence LEGO UCS MC75 Star Cruiser CONFIDENCE by Kommandant Keller, auf Flickr About this MOC: Dimensions - 89 cm x 20 cm x 46 cm The model contains 5728 pieces 700-pages Instructions The ship features a compact, but playable interior including maintenance hangar, command areas and detachable quarters A Nanoscale Tantive IV can also be fitted right into the hangar bay in front of the ship UCS MC75 Star Cruiser CONFIDENCE by Kommandant Keller, auf Flickr Shame on me I didn´t post an update earlier but some other priorities kept occupied me the last months on further progress. Not to mentioned I took quite long to finish the model digitally. I went through different versions, each iteration with better techniques and quite better shaping... it was always some kind of finding the right balance considering techniques and esthetics. Like for the digital model and instructions: The rear-shape changed another time because the used building methods just were to challenging for implementation. But irl quite easy to archive. LEGO UCS MC75 Star Cruiser CONFIDENCE by Kommandant Keller, auf Flickr In Lego-Universe it always felt like something is missing for the Rebel Alliance Fleets out there. Dozen of ISD, various shapes, types and sizes – but less big Rebel ships. I am very proud of the outcome, especially since there are not many UCS-like Mon Calamari ships out there. And let´s be honest - the color scheme was the most fun part of designing. Doing some happy little drops here, markings there. The ship differs to the well-known PROFUNDITY Star Cruiser but I couldn´t resist to paint it acccording to my wishes and put a name on it. CONFIDENCE! UCS MC75 Star Cruiser CONFIDENCE by Kommandant Keller, auf Flickr Maybe this model can inspire some of you for Mon Calamari Star Cruisers Kind regards Kommander/Keller Original post February 2019

  19. Hi! I come back to you with a new project! Tydirium Imperial Lambda-class Shuttle T-4a Playscale! Designing in the studio took a month. It was not easy because I had to come up with many mobile connections such as: - foldable wings, - folding landing gears, - opened pilot's cabin, - access to the interior and passengers (retractable roof and fold-out side panels). The actual number of parts is 1960, I provide the list of parts, it may change during construction, link below https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yYEzyPxn8BzYCwaetlx8KnKis8NnfV1H/view?usp=sharing PDF Instructions will be available in november. This is not the final design yet, it is possible that I will change a few details during construction. What do you think about this project? Soon much more info on my YouTube channel: Edge of Bricks
