[MOC] Imperial Facility on Er'Kit 2.0

Hey guys! Here's a big update of my Imperial Base on Er'Kit. This build is both an extension of my long-planned project and an online collab with my friend Noah (H2Brick). Who motivated me to do this? Well, Noah did, whose part of the collab comes very soon. It's much more vertical than mine, I'm gonna spoil you just this. :D It was so nice to do multiple whatsapp/discord building calls with Noah and give feedback to each other. Hope you like this updated version of the base. I personally see some oversimplified areas that I can improve in the future. Don't worry, I'll work on them. I'm having an exam session now and I was grinding for the past 5 days to get this done. I guess it was worth it! :D BTW. The size of the moc is 2x3 gray 48x48 baseplates now, and will be expanded (again) this year! TIE Fighter by Jerac. AT-ST by Pablo Brickasso. 74-Z Speeder heavily inspired by Luca s projects. Ok, here are some pics: Huge thanks to CTR Bricks for editing the main pic! More detail shots in a Flickr album: And here is the september 2020 edition of the collab: Imperius Unitada Ober Totallex!
  2. The fearsome First Order strikes again! This model occupies over two square feet of your average usable coffee table space at just under (an estimated) 2000 pieces. This behemoth took over two months to design - but I'm not done yet. Before the Christmas season, I hope to have instructions completed. This model is based on the First Order Resurgent-class Star Destroyer's bridge. The original model was a measly 8x12 inches: And used only around 700 pieces. The most difficult part of this stage was creating the curved portion of the front section. This took many iterations to get right. When I had time, I would plan the wings of the bridge. The wings use around 300 pieces for the left-wing (looking from the back) and 350 pieces for the right-wing. Finally, we get to the back extension. This alone uses around 650 pieces and expands the length of the model by 25%. I knew that this would be the last section for one crucial reason: I was running out of space at this point. I wanted to focus more on figure placement for this part, so I left it mainly open while emphasizing the diorama aesthetic. It took a while but I was able to obtain all of the black bricks I needed for the back of the bridge. I think it turned out well. @Monkeyulize, if I may ask for your help designing a UCS sticker for this model, here's that question. The 1x2 technic brick is designed to be used to anchor a figure stand (coming soon) - I know it's there, don't worry. At last, the finished product. A piece fell off during transport but I found it and it's back on. I'm very pleased with this but know it can be improved. If you have any questions or critiques, please don't hesitate to post. I have but one request: stay civil. I will update this post with more design changes and processes. The Flickr album link can be found here: https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjzSuaU

    [MOC] M12 Power Walker

I made this custom Walker for my nephew's 12th birthday (hence "M12"). It takes inspiration from the Power Miners theme (hence "Power"), set 8957. I released the .io model on Star Wars Day 2019 on Bricklink here. A backup is available on MediaFire here. Please let me know if you like it! I will post some pics of the real build soon.

    Army building issue?

So, open question to longer-term Star Wars collectors with big collections; how do you resolve all the different variations of various types of Stormtroopers? I’m not talking about the difference between, say, Stormtroopers and Shadowtroopers, I’m talking about how every few years LEGO ‘updates’ the standard Stormtrooper design with new helmet, or prints, or both. For long-term collectors and/or army builders, how do you resolve all the little differences between each iteration of what are ostensibly supposed to be identical figures?

  9. If you found this review first, I suggest you read my review about set 75216 Snoke’s Throne Room first and then after reading that, continue with the review of set 75225 Elite Praetorian Guard Battle Pack. This is my 21st RA review and the 2nd part of my back-to-back Star Wars set reviews. Overview Name: 75225 - Elite Praetorian Guard Battle Pack Theme: Star Wars: The Last Jedi Year: 2019 (1H) Pieces: 109 Minifigures: 4 Price: 12.99 GBP / 14.99 USD / 14.99 EUR Resources: Brickset and Bricklink Introduction Having reviewed 75216 Snoke’s Throne Room set, my goal is not to compare this set against it but to show how it is really meant to be a companion little set for the bigger set. I will also express my opinion about the variants of the Elite Praetorian Guards included in both sets. So, right off the bat when you think of LEGO Elite Praetorian Guards, do you think about the cheaper battle pack or the Snoke’s Throne Room set? Without knowing rocket science, I believe that majority will remember what they could afford and by extension, what they could play. Not all battle packs has great balance of affordability and mass appeal but this packs them all. Starting with the packaging artwork: the front panel artwork shows the Elite Praetorian Guards sparring. The back panel is practically the same thing presented in the front panel, just taken from a different angle. That’s how straight forward this set is. Below is one the uninteresting pictures of the box side panels. Minifigures Because the minifigures are the most important recipe in any battle pack, let’s showcase the minifigures included. First of all, the weapons are plentiful in this battle pack so every minifigures gets at least 1. A stud shooter is included for the lonesome Stormtrooper. Front view with shoulder pads, headgears and weapons armed In order from left to right, I suppose the weapon is meant to be Electro-bisento (TLG: electro-staff), Vibro-voulge (TLG: Vibro-axe) and Bilari electro-chain whip. I don’t know who supplied those alternate names to TLG but those names in parenthesis was mentioned in the official description. I don’t see how someone will confuse axe with a pole cleaver because that’s what a voulge is. Ok, you can say that a pole cleaver is a pole axe but that is really stretching it, quite literally. Front view with shoulder pads and headgears About the headgears, apart from familiar pointed Praetorian helmet, we also get the helmet with a flatter top that extends forward. Personally, this is my most favourite version of the guards because it is flashier and looks more functional to deflect blasts and lightsabers beams as long as it doesn’t hit directly. As for the First Order Stormtrooper, I will make a direct comparison between TFA vs TLA version further below so hold that thought for a moment. Back view with shoulder pads and headgears Surprise! The back of all the Elite Praetorian Guards are all identical. Front view with ridged shoulder pads only Surprisingly the red heads of the guards do not have any face print. I don’t mind it because the helmets will likely stay fitted onto the minifigures all the time so using red minifigure heads make a lot of sense. Back view with ridged shoulder pads only Nothing to see here. No head prints at all. Ridged shoulder pads, Praetorian helmet Here are the official names of each part: Ridged shoulder pad = mini armour, no. 12, element: 6231897, design no. 37614 Flat Praetorian Guard helmet = mini helmet, no. 222, element: 6251104, design no. 42866 Pointed Praetorian Guard helmet = mini helmet, no. 209, element: 6231899, design no. 38561 In my review of Snoke’s Throne Room, I showcased the Elite Praetorian Guards with skirts. The only part that makes those Elite Praetorian Guards exclusive is practically just the skirt/robe part used for the legs (aka mini skirt, no. 6, element 6231958, design no. 39139). Also, thanks to the skirt part, first introduced in set 75206, the Praetorian Guards from Snoke’s Throne Room have the same height as the Praetorian Guards from this battle pack. Unfortunately TLG is not very generous in producing the the third Praetorian helmet with a pointy tip at the bottom. I would have preferred another unique helmet instead of the inclusion of other parts, like those allocated for the training droid. FO Stormtrooper: ep. 7 vs ep. 8 version Moving on, the FO Stormtrooper in this set is the TLJ version with thinner mouth pattern. I don’t really see the point of updating the graphics but I suppose it is more movie accurate for TLJ. I don’t have a problem with the change but I do have a problem with the print quality. If you look closely at the photos below , you can see that the black middle arch has a bit of smudge or imperfection. This is very frustrating because I have 2 sets of these battle packs and both the FO Stormtroopers had this. I don’t know if this print defect is widespread but it’s definitely a let-down. The inclusion of FO Stormtrooper is odd because the set is definitely meant to be Praetorian Guards-centric. I think this is just a way to push these FO Stormtroopers out of the warehouse inventories. Perhaps asking for another variant of Praetorian Guard is just asking too much. Build The built for this set is very mundane but it doesn’t take anything away from the awesomeness of the battle pack. Since it is a sparring stage for the minifigures, it makes it easier to pit the minifigures against each other by spinning the round plate with turntables. Training Droid Bricklink lists that there are 5 “minifigures” in the set but it is clearly stated in the official LEGO set that it includes 4 LEGO minifigures and a training droid [brick-built] figure. Clearly, a training droid is not a minifigure in TLG’s book. Just saying. Anyway, I appreciate the transparent parts included to make the illusion that the figure is floating. Weapon rack I already mentioned the names of the equipped weapon earlier but there is one weapon that I forgot to equip onto the minifigure because it was attached to the weapon rack earlier. The one using the gun-metal horn parts is the brick-built version of Twin vibro-arbir blades (TLG: Twin vibro blades) in its joined form. It should have been longer by a factor of two because an arbir is a pole weapon but I guess we have to make use of what we have. All the official Star Wars weapon names I mentioned here are based from the information published in The Last Jedi Visual Dictionary. Thanks Pablo Hidalgo. Conclusion Considering to re-making the Snoke’s Throne Room fight scene? Thankfully the battle packs are here to save you. It is not a perfect set but for the price you pay, I think it gives you more than enough to warrant multiple purchases. If you need to buy a single set just to get the The Praetorian Guards, the wiser choice is definitely the battle pack because it is the cheaper one. If you want to get all the variants available for The Praetorian Guards, unfortunately, Snoke’s Throne Room still has the exclusive skirted variants. Ultimately, you need to ask yourself whether you really need the skirted variants. Ideally, getting set 75216 during clearance instead of buying the Praetorian Guards thru Bricklink should be more economical because 75216 already includes a lot of great parts to build the throne room with Snoke and 2 crimson guards. Then, adding 2 battle packs in the mix will give you 6 more to complete the 8 Elite Praetorian Guards of Snoke to recreate the ultimate battle in TLJ. A total of 3 sets are required to make this scene possible -- Review summary Playability: 9/10 - For its size, what it lacks for build, it compensates for the weaponries Design / Building Experience: 6/10 - Did I say very mundane? It serves its purpose though. Minifigures: 9/10 - If only a 3rd version of Praetorian Guard helmet is included, this will be perfect. Price / Value for money: 10/10 - I hope this will be another template set that TLG will use for future release of BPs because it offers all the goodies that should be present in all battle packs. Overall: 8.5/10 - This is an awesome battle pack with very desirable minifigures that every Star Wars fan should consider buying. Thanks for reading this back-to-back review.
  10. Hi Guys! It's already 2 months ago I made this MOC but I forget to share here with you so... I show you my MOC of the AT-DT! I let you watch the showcase video. And the quick scene I made for a LEGO Convention. Free PDF Instructions are available on Rebrickable : https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-18202/BricksFeeder/at-dt-walker/ Don't forget to mention me if you use this design. ) Let me know what you think about! See you soon!
  11. Just realized I haven't posted a film here in a while. Might as well change that! A Stormtrooper gets into a little trouble... My first attempt at melding live action and stop-motion animation. It was made for a compilation of funny videos that had a tight deadline, and so is a bit rushed. However, I hope you enjoy it anyway.
  12. Today I present you the Lego Incinerator Stormtrooper and a Moc to go along with it. Here is the stormtrooper: Incinerator Stormtroopers use flamethrowers as their main weapon but also has detonators and E-11 blasters. Here is the Wikipedia description- This is mainly an idea I would like to share with you but I thought it would be cool to include it in some sort of battlefield so here it is! I came up with it when I was on the internet and saw some cool looking blasters, and I was like "Cool, I want to build some too!" And then I built a flamethrower. I tried looking for a flame trooper to go with it, and the incinerator Stormtrooper was perfect. The stormtroopers using flamethrowers to charr the ground and everything else on it Its a cannon! Should I make more custom figs and was adding the Moc part interesting? I would like to know so I know what to do for other creations. Thanks for viewing and I hope you enjoyed it!

    Lego Star Wars Helmets

For any one of you that has a big republic army or bucketheads, their helmets can easily damage themselves and the head of the clone trooper if left on for a long time. They can become stiff and some times even squeak when turned. And then they will become very loose! I found this situation happen quite commonly with my clone troopers but maybe not stormtroopers so much, and commander gree died because of that. The best way to stop this from happening is to store them with their helmets off as this could happen to any variant of the clone/storm trooper helmet.
  14. We want to move right to collect the bonus on G13 and than on D19. Our squad have find and followed a path trough pains, to cut off the road. We need to be careful, because these paths are used the native ewoks and if we meet them they could pull back us... BN-0303 - Sir, it looks like it's some kind of a raft made by the natives. Shock Trooper - Probably we could use it to crossing the Lake.

Shock Trooper - Yes, it should, but we could find a safe path to move cross. BN-0303 - Sir, I just received an incoming message: All the troops have to turn back and move back to the Generator on the easiest way. Shock Trooper - In that case, let's see the map.

  20. Episode1 This is the first day for me after finishing the Academy as a Trooper, ... a Stormtrooper. I have done the one-year junior academy for cadets on Lothal and after that I had the standard stormtrooper training. Now I'm officially a member of the Stormtrooper Corps and I got the code name: TG-0222 I was sent forth Takodana to an Imperial Outpost to serve the Galactic Empire there. I travelled with a bunch of experienced soldiers, so I was the only one 'shiny' , new recruit on that shuttle. The Captain of this facility welcomed us at the yard. He is a characteristic imperial officer, strong-willed and disciplined. Unfortunately the other shipment didn't arrive yet, which means our equipment and blasters are still in crates. Our Officer said we will do repairs and cleaning as technician, until the supply come. Today finally the new shipment arrived, so we're lined up on the yard of the Outpost. The Technician brought the crate with the Captain , and then they started divide the guns to the troops. I was the last in line, so I got the one remaining blaster. Somehow it was a non-standard EE-3 blaster. I don't know how this happened, but I now this is mine. After spend a decent time training, I'm very good in aiming and shooting with this Gun, certainly among the bests at trainings. Anticipated this outpost will be my home for a long time, to serve the Galaxy, gain experience and maybe it's just the beginning of a great carrier...
  21. Aside from patrolling the Tatooine dunes, Merc was assigned as local security for the Mos Eisley spaceport in search of a suspicious Rodian. Merc: Looks like we're here. Last part of our patrol route, Mos Eisley. Trooper: Worst part of Tatooine too. Merc: You heard stories about this place? Trooper: Plenty. Not too long ago there was something about two guys in a bar who picked a fight with some scrawny farm boy. You think they'd have no problem right? But then the kids old man showed up and chopped off one of the guys' arm. Merc: Heh, guess its true what they say. You won't find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy than in Mos Eisley. Sergeant: Hey, you two! Quit standing around. Get back to searching for that Rodian. Trooper & Merc: Yes sir! Merc: Hey there's one over by that street vendor. Think it could be him? Trooper: Blasted, they all look the same to me. Merc: Come on, lets check it out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hey guys, back with a small free-build. I initially had a larger set-up prepared but due to a lack of tan pieces I made it a vignette instead. Also the back beams are not my design. Please judge this build.
  22. [-Accessing Alliance to Restore the Republic Files……RYN-01……Complete-] Lieutenant Ryn Shenuri was born on the planet Saleucami around the beginning of the Clone Wars. His parents were an important Commerce Guild member, Yuno Shenuri, and an heiress to a ship building empire, Aisha Su. He didn’t lack for material possessions as a child, and was isolated from most other children. His father’s prominent position in the Commerce Guild and his highly anti-Republic stance made him many enemies in the Galactic Senate. He also managed to sway many a greedy senator to the Separatist cause with his promises of riches and fortune. A young Ryn was sheltered into believing in the Separatist cause and held a deep seated hatred for the Republic. His father and the majority of his material possessions were rapidly taken away from him at the end of the Clone Wars with the disbanding of the Commerce Guild with the development of a new Galactic Empire by Emperor Sheev Palpatine. The whereabouts of his father are currently unknown – he may still held in an Imperial detention facility, or more likely, was executed for treason against the Empire for his role in the Separatist movement. The Empire seized control of his mother’s ship building assets for their own gain, leaving Ryn penniless and mostly alone. A young adult Ryn began organizing anti-Imperial operations on Saleucami as revenge, ranging from simple graffiti and propaganda to sabotage and assassination. His actions caught the attention of the local Alliance to Restore the Republic cell, who got him to reluctantly join with a promise of additional resources and training. Although hesitant about the Alliance’s goals to restore the Republic, he seems to be committed to the cause and willing to fight the Empire at any cost. Current Mission: Ryn Shenuri was sent to Sullust along with a small squad of Rebellion ground forces to extract intel on Imperial shipyards on Corellia, where fuel mined on Sullust was being sent. Instructions were to get in and strike fast to leave the Empire with little reaction time. [-Closing Alliance to Restore the Republic Files…..RYN-01……Complete]

    [MOC] [MOD] First Order Transporter

Hello Everyone! I have finally finished building my First Order Transporter, all from pieces from my collection. Took some time to find the fight parts, but I'm happy with the results! The body has been modified to be longer and hold more troops, around 8-10 depending on how cramped it is, or on what troops/weapons are used. Features all the same features of the actual set, but modified be be more movie accurate, such as the turret at the top. Also a good opportunity to show off my Megablaster for the heavy artillery trooper. Been waiting for the Rogue One Rebel Battlepack to come out so i can get that new gun piece to build this.
  24. I've become quite a fan of the new Shoretroopers from Rogue one and look forward to obtaining them in Lego form, there is 3 varieties of Shoretrooper; Soldier, Squad Leader and Captain, so far we've had Captain (http://brickset.com/sets/75154-1/TIE-Striker) and Soldier (http://brickset.com/sets/75171-1/Battle-on-Scarif) do you think we'll get a Squad Leader figure, possibly with dual-moulded arms and a skirt piece? what are your thoughts?
