  3. *This entry has earned 20 XP* Excerpt from Cdr. Bannon’s log: The first wave of the invasion of Iridonia had spread like a wildfire from our landing sites. Still, a few critical surface locations remained. Interplanetary space around Iridonia was also under tight lockdown. Ships had either been forced to ground, or obliterated. Only a lucky few had evaded the star destroyers, and escaped the system. The next operation objective was to secure a number of individuals with various importance to the Imperial Triumvirate. One of these was Senator Ay’Pelia. Director Hollon had tracked her to the Genesis Station. A safeport operating as a sovereign state, between Iridonia and the New Republic. Yet another bureaucratic loophole sanctioned by the New Republic. In reality, Genesis Station is a high class shadow port. Onboard Genesis Station... "Ever been to the Casino on Genesis Station?! [MOC] Midi-Scale AT-AT Diorama

Discovering the Battle of Hoth on screen is one of those childhood moments I'll always remember. So my first ever walker MOC had to be the AT-AT from Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. And for such an iconic scene, making a diorama-style build was mandatory. At only 19cm (7,4") high, this Midi-Scale AT-AT consists of 924 pieces (1,317 in total with the diorama base & T-47), and is accurately Nanofig-scaled. It features a movable head and fully articulated legs, allowing many different poses. Working at such a compact scale, capturing fine surface detail and smooth, gapless angles for the body required a great deal of unique techniques. My main goal was to make the model feel deceivingly heavy and massive despite its small size, and of course achieve that prop / toy vibe I'm so fond of. The most challenging parts of the AT-AT were definitely the head and legs: the head for its subtle angles and challenging shape, and the legs for proportions, joints, feet, and very slight width differences as you go towards the bottom. Nanofigs (or trophy figs) scale perfectly to both the AT-AT and T-47, which also scale accurately to each other. The diorama base allows the AT-AT feet to be connected in various positions, and can accommodate two flying T-47s. This 358-piece base is optional and comes in a separate parts list, for builders who prefer displaying the model solely (picture 7 in the Flickr album). Parts list also include a string piece that can be easily added to reproduce the harpoon scene (picture 5 in the Flickr album). ► Instructions for the AT-AT are available at BrickVault. [MOC] Imperial Facility on Er'Kit 2.0

Hey guys! Here's a big update of my Imperial Base on Er'Kit. This build is both an extension of my long-planned project and an online collab with my friend Noah (H2Brick). Who motivated me to do this? Well, Noah did, whose part of the collab comes very soon. It's much more vertical than mine, I'm gonna spoil you just this. :D It was so nice to do multiple whatsapp/discord building calls with Noah and give feedback to each other. Hope you like this updated version of the base. I personally see some oversimplified areas that I can improve in the future. Don't worry, I'll work on them. I'm having an exam session now and I was grinding for the past 5 days to get this done. I guess it was worth it! :D BTW. The size of the moc is 2x3 gray 48x48 baseplates now, and will be expanded (again) this year! TIE Fighter by Jerac. AT-ST by Pablo Brickasso. 74-Z Speeder heavily inspired by Luca s projects. Ok, here are some pics: Huge thanks to CTR Bricks for editing the main pic! More detail shots in a Flickr album: And here is the september 2020 edition of the collab: Imperius Unitada Ober Totallex!

  7. The Sienar Technologies board of directors did not really appreciate that Rothana Heavy Engineering - one of their direct competitors - started selling the Katyoucha variant of their TX-225 tank to the Empire. (see the full article from 3 years ago here). Clearly, by proposing a relatively cheap rocket-launcher, Rothana would start grinding some of Sienar's market shares. But Sienar did not waste time before reacting and quickly started their own project of a rocket-launcher for the Imperial Army. In order to remain competitive from the pricing side, Sienar took two important decision. First, the new design should reuse as many existing components as possible. This first decision quickly make Sienar look toward their TIE families and existing designs. The second decision was to use the same model of rockets as Rothana. This would allow the Empire not to change their ammunition supply chain and permit in theory to quickly swap the Rothana TX-225 Katyoucha by the future design from Sienar. The project resulted in a fast prototype delivery and the TIE-Calliope was released. It was based on the existing TIE-Crawler which was already in use inside the Imperial Army but on tope of the existing Crawler a rocket launcher was mounted. But Sienar did not mount any small rocket launcher. They designed a rocket launcher that could carry no less than 50 rockets! And the TIE-Calliope could fire these one by one, in salvo, or even all of them within a handful of seconds. Useless to that the the impact of such firepower on any target was devastating. On top of that, the noise produced by the rockets during their flight generated a frightening feeling on the receiver's end. Thanks to this impressive solution, Sienar could even develop a great commercial argument: the ratio between the firepower and the deployed man on the field is way above whatever any competitor can offer (and almost 10x higher than the Katyoucha ratio). Indeed, the TIE-Calliope is equipped with 50 rockets, 2 blaster canons, and one turbolaser canon while only requiring a single pilot. On the other side, the TX-225 Katyoucha is only equipped with 16 rockets and 4 medium blaster canons and requires 3 crewmen to operate. Definitively, Sienar knows how to market their products. TIE-Calliope by Veynom, on Flickr But enough of the historical speech and let's discover the beast: TIE-Calliope by Veynom, on Flickr TIE-Calliope by Veynom, on Flickr TIE-Calliope by Veynom, on Flickr TIE-Calliope by Veynom, on Flickr Both of them together: TIE-Calliope & TX-225 Katyoucha by Veynom, on Flickr Naturally, before creating the Calliope variant, I had first to build a TIE-Crawler. Here it is, without its launcher. TIE-Crawler by Veynom, on Flickr You can see the 2x3 plates inside the track module panels. They were intended to receive the rocket launcher. In the final version, these plates were moved backwards. After all, when moc-ing, it is all about doing and undoing, isn't it? TIE-Crawler by Veynom, on Flickr TIE-Crawler by Veynom, on Flickr For those of you following our Desert Wars project, the TIE-Calliope will replace the Katyoucha as of June 24. Have a thought for the poor Katyoucha. Katyusha! by Veynom, on Flickr Please note that neither the TIE-Calliope, neither the TX-225 Katyoucha appear in any Star Wars material. They are both designs I created, aiming to propose ideas that could exist in the Star Wars universe. And while the old TX-225 Katyoucha was based on a soviet rocket launcher truck from WW2, the TIE-Calliope is based on a M4 Sherman tank variant. In the end, it is quite common to derive Star Wars designs from WW2 materials. Comments welcome, hope you liked it. PS: in the end, the Imperial Army selected the AT-AT from Kuat to mass equip their forces. Sienar and Rothana only received minor orders.

For a safe and secure society. Honoring the true imperial legacy, rising from the ashes, Tempered, Stronger, Reborn! - Supreme Moff Barthol The Triumvirate is an alliance of several imperial remnants all united under one banner. Loyal to the legacy of the emperor, and firm believers of restoring the empire to its former glory. Some remnants remain more independent than others, but all acknowledge and support the Triumvirs and regard the three as emissaries of the Emperor’s will. The Triumvirs The Triumvirs are the supreme authority in the Imperial Triumvirate. In some cases a triumvir has direct control of a specific department. The triumvirs each have their own agenda, but work towards the shared goal of an empire reborn. From left to right: The Crimson Duchess: The Crimson Duchess is the ruler of the mysterious Crim Dominion. Her mother also held the Crimson Duchess-title which seems to be handed down from mother to daughter, dating back generations. Rumor has it that the late emperor held the previous Duchess and the Crim Dominion in high regard. This could be the explanation for the deep imperial loyalty and military might of a relatively small system. Supreme Moff Barthol: A battle hardened war veteran who served the old Republic as a naval officer, and later the Galactic Empire as a highly decorated admiral and moff. Moff Barthol was personally appointed by the Emperor, to lead a highly secret mission into the Unknown Regions. Moff Barthol spent more than a decade in the unknown regions, only to return to an empire in disarray. Grand Prince Serion: Prince Serion was a former ISB Admiral and aristocrat hailing from Nacronis. In the final days of the Galactic Empire, Prince Serion played an integral part in Operation Cinder and the downfall of his homeworld Nacronis. Immediately after the destruction of Nacronis, Prince Serion staged a coup against two other unsuspecting admirals, and assumed control of their fleets, as well as the ground forces that had been stationed on Nacronis. The Prince quickly left the Nacronis system to avoid the New Republic, and made the rendezvous with Moff Barthol. Prince Serion ironically named his new army the Nacronis Protectorate. High Command The current High Command consists of nine commanders each responsible for a branch of the Imperial Triumvirate (e.g. politics, commerce, military). The high command only answers to the Triumvirs and together with the triumvirs, they are the ruling council of the Imperial Triumvirate. Natural leaders, disciplined officers, and ambitious commanders are needed, in order to steer the union towards the shared goal of returning the empire to its former glory. You could find yourself among the senior commanders of the Imperial Triumvirate, leading the expansion to new parts of the galaxy, reclaiming former imperial worlds, or planning future covert military or diplomatic operations. Special Forces Units: The Imperial Triumvirate utilizes a wide variety of special forces and commando units. Although most of these units are continuations of existing branches of imperial forces (such as Storm Commandos, Special Forces, and Death Troopers), more specialized and unique special forces have been established since the union of Imperial remnants under the Imperial Triumvirate banner. You could find yourself among one of these new specialized squads, or you could be an Imperial Super Commando, Inquisitor, Imperial Hunter, or a Special Agent working as a lone wolf on highly classified missions. Stormtroopers: Although against New Republic sanctions on imperial military, the Triumvirate is secretly training new troops for the Stormtrooper Corps. You might be a veteran stormtrooper re-deployed to a young squad or one of the many specialist troopers like scout troopers or patrol troopers. The Army: The basic infantry of the imperial Triumvirate. You may find yourself among these grunts, recruited from young conscripts and volunteers, eager to serve the new regime that has united their worlds and brought stability in a time of uncertainty. These soldiers travel across the galaxy on expeditionary missions, spearheading the expansion of the Triumvirate. The Navy: In the fleet of the Triumvirate, you could find yourself among the naval troops, fighter or shuttle pilots, or even commandeering a star destroyer. The fleet is an integral part of of the Triumvirate dominion, and Star Destroyers often serve as base of operation. Ancillary Branches: The imperial Triumvirate is a well-oiled regime, you may find yourself among the supporting personnel that keeps the wheels turning. The Triumvirate ancillary branch includes engineers, researchers, and logistics personnel. Recruits of the Imperial Triumvirate HOW DO I JOIN? [MOC] TIE-Krykna

After the exhibition season, back to the bench and nothing better than a good old TIE variant to boost my creativity. Let's all hail the TIE-Krykna. TIE-Krykna by Veynom, on Flickr It is the improbable hybrid between a classic TIE-Fighter, an imperial or separatist walker, and a few Bionicle parts. Nightmarish, isn't it? TIE-Krykna by Veynom, on Flickr TIE-Krykna by Veynom, on Flickr TIE-Krykna by Veynom, on Flickr Inspiration came when after liking an internet meme mixing a TIE-Fighter cockpit with legs from a "Homing Spider" (set 75016). Just doing the same was too easy, and not stable enough to my taste. Besides, I had that bag of unused Bionicle parts received from a friend... The name "Krykna" was inspired by my wife who rightfully (Rule N2: Wifes are always right) told me that it can't be a TIE-Spider as spiders have 8 legs and my TIE-thing has only 6 of these. For a brief moment, I strongly considered re-engineering the entire MOC to include 2 more legs. Ultimately, I decided first to google for Star Wars spiders and found the Krykna. This horrible beast from SW Rebels was perfect. No need to rebuild everything, exit the TIE-Spider and long live the TIE-Krykna. Rebranding was less cumbersome. Note that I did not flinch when my wife spoke about "oh, no, not another TIE-thing!", because I remembered just in time about rule N1: Wifes are right. PS: for those who want to know rule N3: it is easy: 'In case of doubt, refer to rule N1".

    [MOC] Midi-Scale TIE Advanced

As an absolute fan of the original trilogy, I had to build more Empire ships in Midi-Scale. I decided to start with my favorite TIE model, the TIE Advanced. This 496-piece TIE Advanced features a fully SNOT and detailed surface. It also includes rear engine thrusters at the back of the cockpit dome. Most importantly, being able to design smooth but razor thin wings was the key to making this build look proportionate and realistic. The same applies for the rear section of the fuselage which, being only 1 tile-high, ended up looking just a thin as the original prop model. Logically, the ship scales well to my previous TIE Reaper - I'll keep exploring more of these in the same scale, and maybe one day have a whole fleet of Midi TIE ships! ► Instructions will be available at Rebrickable soon. TIE-Vidiyo by Veynom, on Flickr TIE-Vidiyo by Veynom, on Flickr Built for a contest on the French BrickPirate forum where we had to pick up a Lego set that does not fly, and make it fly, whatever the way. I selected one of the Vidiyo boxes, slapped some TIE-wings on, added a pilot seat, engineered a system to prevent the cockpit from rolling around, and decided to use the soft handle as engine exhaust. My TIE-Vidiyo was born. And some people said the Vidiyo sub-theme would never take off...

    [MOC] Midi-Scale TIE Reaper

Hey everyone, I'm glad to present you my latest Midi-Scale MOC, the TIE Reaper from Rogue One. The TIE Reaper drew my attention when I discovered Doug Chiang’s wonderful concept art of the ship. The typical empire-like, aggressive and angular look of it instantly reminded me of my favorite vehicles from the movie. The main features of this design are: fully SNOT build from top to bottom, accurate proportions, studio model / prop look, removable stand and working ramp. Getting all the very complex angles and shapes, while maximizing the SNOT look, led to a very intricate Midi-Scale build. My main goal wasn’t “swooshability”, but making a convincing, display-only build. Although not intended for play, it can be easily moved around with or without its stand, and safely held from below. ► Instructions for the TIE Reaper are available at Rebrickable or via email at flyinspace.mocs@gmail.com More pictures on my Flickr page.

Consolidated under seven high ranking imperial warlords, this new Imperial Remnant had taken refuge in the deep core, and the unknown regions, in order to regroup and rebuild. History The Imperial Triumvirate was just the beginning. The first victory of many. From the embers of the Imperial Triumvirate, a new order rises; The Imperial Consortium. Organization THE RULING COUNCIL The leadership of the Imperial Consortium consisted of a league of high-ranking imperial officers, warlords, and moffs. This league was formalized in the form of a ruling Council, aligning and overseeing matters across the individual imperial remnants, fleets, and assets. Although consolidated under a united leadership, each warlord still maintained a large degree of autonomy of their remnant. SPECIAL FORCES Although subjugated to the Galactic Concordance, the Imperial Consortium continues to carry out sinister schemes and plots to restore the former glory of the Empire. Most of these activities are covert and highly secret, calling for highly trained commando soldiers, and other special forces. You could find yourself among this elite, carrying out pivotal missions coming from the very top of the Imperial Consortium. TROOPERS Training of new stormtroopers has been banned, but training of security personnel and repurposing old stormtrooper gear works just as well. The army, navy, and security troopers are still the backbone of the Imperial Consortium. ANCILLARY PERSONNEL In order to make the wheels keep turning, ancillary personnel are vital. This includes cargo pilots, scientists, manufacturers, operations officers, clerks, and the list keeps on going. Although this group does not make it to the recruitment posters, these professionals are vital to the various operations. Territory The Imperial Consortium has withdrawn to the Deep Core Security Zone, and various fortress worlds in the Unknown Regions. Here the new imperial order will further secure their strongholds, and once more expand the Imperial borders, to reclaim what is rightfully theirs. Inventory In this section you will find various custom printable accessories free to use in your creations. Banners and Pauldrons can be printed on regular paper, and carefully cut out (They don’t last long, but they look pretty good if you don’t move them too much). Stickers are a little more tricky, since you need glossy sticker paper in order to get the same look and feel as real lego stickers. If you have any questions or ideas for new accessories, please feel free to PM Darth Bjorn. Frequently Asked Questions HOW DO I JOIN? 18. *Your entry has earned 10 XP* Since Colonel Profit had arrived, security has tightened. Imperials patrol the streets day and night, in the search of insurgents and rebel revolts, although this has not gone down well with the people. Two days ago some our troopers were inspecting a nightclub in the north-east sector, when they were ruthlessly beaten, and not by rebels, they were ordinary people. It seemed that that word was getting around that the imperials were trying to take further control of the already restricted planet, and they weren’t happy. That little uproar a couple of nights ago had only made things worse for the people, now anyone that did not comply with imperial orders were thrown in prison, or in some cases executed. I was out with a squad myself earlier that day, we had found leaked information that there were to be a transfer of intel at these coordinates and that we should be there to intercept, “Trooper, have you located the insurgents yet?” “No mam, we have arrived at our post and are awaiting further orders,” “Your orders remain unchanged, make sure you secure that intel, we believe it has a run down of imperial patrol movements and scouts, do what you must, failure is not an option!” As the hologram ended I looked to the streets once again, “I do not fail!”
  19. *Your entry has earned 7 XP* Landing on the surface, we knew we'd have trouble. The dense mass of the jungle would take us days to uncover what we were so desperately searching for. Making camp in a ruined monastery, the elites were sent out in search of possible enemy hideouts, while my squad searched through the debris. There was a feeling of emptiness as we wandered through, until one of my seniors noticed tracks, fresh tracks. We were on alert now, as quite as it had been, we realised we were not alone.

  21. Part III ‘Clash with the Tabascans’ Cortés and his expedition left Cozumel, and by late March his armada anchored off of the coast of the Tabascan settlement of Pontonchan. Cortés took a group of small oared boats up the Tabasco River into the thick mangrove swamps. Hidden in the lush jungle lining the river were, seemingly, countless Tabascan Warriors armed with bows and spears. The warriors rushed the Spanish boats forcing the Conquistadors to fight back in waist deep water. Cortés lost a boot on his way ashore, but he managed to continue fighting and directing his troops. The Spanish organized once on land and managed to repel the waves of Tabascan Warriors until they finally retreated back into the overgrown jungle. 323rd expeditionary force.

the 323rd expeditionary force was assigned to the ISD invictus there mission was to spearhead the assault in to the capital and meet up with at-at Greta. the convoy consisted of a Trexler 906 armoured marauder, TX-225 GAVw "occupier" combat assault tank and a IFT-T (TX-130T Sabre tank) these items of equipment were valuable for our very survival of the assault, without them are platoon would not make it into the city alive. our commander rychen had new orders come through his holo receiver. We was tasked to approach at night, from the south. It was apart of a 3 pronged attack there no hope for the defenders of the outer wall, isd invictus would lower it self in to the upper atmosphere and rain down a orbital strike, on the city. civilians? there just the casualties of war. our orders where clear we waited till night fall to make our final push to the city.

  24. The Y-45 armored transport hauler, also known as AT hauler, built by Kuat Drive Yards and used for the Galactic Empire, with its very agressive and intimidating design, was a great Midi-scale challenge. Accurately Microfig-scaled (or trophy-scaled), and made of 623 pieces, this MOC features all the typical angles and details of the original cargo ship: agressive cockpit shape, intricate wing angles, lower bridge with its guard-rails and stairs, ion engines and magnetic clamps, holding on a single, secure Lego stand. With very simple connections, both arms can be installed upwards to put the ship in landing mode. ► Instructions for the AT Hauler are available at Rebrickable or via email at flyinspace.mocs@gmail.com More pictures on my Flickr page.
  25. *This entry has earned 16 XP* Excerpt from Cpt. Grim’s log: I guess the General felt bad for the Tund fallacy. Anyways, I was offered a permanent captain’s plaque. Being tired of working to find work, I accepted. My first official mission sent me to Kowak. Good soldiers follow orders! Cpt. Grim’s log - continued Turned out it wasn’t the locals, or the Zygerrians that resisted our presence. It was the fauna. Luckily, a dozen D-63 Incinerators kept most wildlife out of our camps. /// This build took a little longer than planned... Creating convincing, original vegetation is a challenge! Happy with the result though! Thanks, and credits to @Gubi0222 for the speeder bike design! Below are a few more shots... I hope you enjoy!
