  1. I was really so busy that is a long time since i created a folder on brickshelf, and now it's time to add my remaining 8 bot: i'm also aiming to create a lxf file for each, but currently waiting for the first folder to become public. What i want to do is to keep this fist post simple with robots thumbnails, link to the future reply about them, descriptions and lxf files, let's start: Really hope that all the files and photos that i'll put there can inspire some TC11 competitors, unfortnately you can't fight bot in the entry video but i will really like to know how a fight between your bots and mine will end (despite my bot being ruled by different and more restrictive rules). Bot-focused replies will be posed one every day starting from tomorrow and then this first message will be updated with thumbnails, lxf files and more info, i'm doing this because i'm progressively dismantle all the robots and i want to keep them at least in digital form (so i'll have more pieces for my new ideas without loosing the previous ones). i also really want to thaks LRW (lego robot wars) group for the support that they gave to me while i was building and posting updates there: https://www.facebook.com/groups/105109289523663/?ref=bookmarks in order not no make this topic only a bunch of writings i have a small video about the first bot that will be showcased tomorrow (asap) so here all the robots: name: LIFTY description: this is the 2nd of the -ITY team, a series of simple robots made to show the archetypes of combat robots and also easy to replicate, they also fight each other but the winner wasn't this one. signature move: LIFTER weight class: 500g notes: despite being a lifter it is not really able to full lift the opponent but by going under it and pushing with the additive weight it can easily lift and flip up to 1kg bots! lxf file: lifty.lxf bot reply link(scroll down here): click here name: BITY description: this is the first of the -ITY team, also the most complex featuring a jaw that can be opened and rotate, it represents grabbers or control robots that aim to grab the opponent and push them into the PIT of oblivion due to the use of lipo BB (i have only one) and the excessive weight (700g) it didn't compete to the secret -ITY championship signature move: CLAW weight class: 500g notes: 4x4 transmission is really powerful but has a lot of friction while steering (even at smaller weight class) so the battle position of BITY is with the claw inclined down and front wheels lifted up and not touching the ground lxf file: bity.lxf bot reply link: click here name: FLIPPY description: 3rd of the ITY team it is a spring powered flipper! inspired by diotor this bot relies to a winch mechanism that is able to load and relase 4 9398 shock absorbers with only one motor! signature move: winch reloaded-spring powered FLIPPER arm weight class: 500g notes: unable to self right was defeated by lifty on the -ITY tournament lxf file: flippy.lxf bot reply link: click here name: CARBIDE description: replica of uk robot wars competitor carbide, grand finalist of series 8 and champion of series 9 signature move: horizontal spinner weight class: 1kg new technic motor used: 2x M for drive, 1x 9V motor (745699) for weapon drive: 2WD and can drive even if upside down! notes: the side armor is really tough but can be detached from th main body, also the bar has a quite good punch but luckily not enough to break lego pieces, it can remove armor and exposed wheels. also it is driven by an sbrick receiver so it has the advantage of PWM motor controls and no line of sight needed, may also join 3-robot matches due to not providing interferences with IR lxf file: carbide.lxf bot reply link: click here name: PULSAR description: again a 2016 competitor, smaller and faster than carbide, but equally lethal signature move:SPINNING DRUm with double single tooth weight class: 1kg replica new technic bricks notes: it requires only two channels to be controlled because the spinning drim is always one and a rubber band belt prevent the motor stall name: WITCH DOCTOR description: this replica is from BATTLEBOTS! unluckily i can't replicate the purple/green color scheme but this time i used old technic bricks so it is completely smash-able! but mind that its deadly single tooth disc smash bot before they can do anything signature move: single tooth SPINNING VERTICAL DISK weight class: 1kg replica with system bricks notes: my first inclined wheel drive (with chains) that really helps the bot steering even if 4x4 with all the wheels on the ground name: CARDIAC II description: the first fan designed bot that i motorized, it will fight witch doctor later this moth (hopefully) and it is armed with a deadly axe that can stop the 2000rpm disk of its opponent signature move: fast AXE weight class: 1kg replica with system bricks notes: it is the biggest bot i've ever built and has a pretty advanced weapon capable of rapid fire with a single M motor name: KILERHURTZ test chassis description: this poor bot was never finished (and used to test all other bots weapon) due to the armor of the original 100kg one being really difficult to replicate, but it's weapon really reflect the power of a 110kg machine signature move: rubber-band powered gearing reloaded AXE weight class: never finished notes: it can be operated with a full auto reload system and a tap firing button from the sbrick APP

LEGO Star Wars micro calendar sets

I just found the new image online showcasing the line-up for LEGO's new 2017 Advent Calendar. I am very surprised to see some familiar mini kits! I am JamesArts. I have been building micro sets since the debut of the first LEGO Star Wars Calendar in 2011 and have built over 270 micro sets in total these past 6 years, so of course it comes as no surprise that some of my ideas have been echoed by LEGO themselves. However recently I uploaded all my builds to flickr and have started up my own YouTube channel with instructions on how to build them. Now I'm not accusing LEGO of plagiarism... but... some of their most recent sets (In particular the Hover Tank from Rogue One) look very very similar to some of my builds. Others that seem to be appearing 1-2 years after I first designed them are the Ghost, Phantom, Krennick's Shuttle, Luggabeast and AT-DP to name but a few in this calendar alone. Bare in mind that almost all of the sets on my flickr were added before March 2017, with most being designed and built long before then some up to 6 years prior. I have been praised on Eurobricks and YouTube for my designs of many of my builds such as my Hover tank, with a few YouTubers even asking if they can feature my builds in their videos (as long as they give me the credit for the design of course). what I do not want is (IF... IF!... Lego are plagiarising these designs) for them to take full credit; if they are not copying them then there is too much coincidence and similarity of design) Others here are similar, and all of my builds are free to be viewed on my flickr profile. Please take some time to check out some of my builds, and more will be uploaded soon. :) My YT Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmYOMZz6DyvM1euY2qrRfpA My flickr photos: https://www.flickr.com/photos/151467275@N04/ Here is MY design for the hover tank from Rogue One that I first built back in 2016: https://www.flickr.com/photos/151467275@N04/shares/d4tz70 Any similarities?

  6. Hello all, Many of you may have come across my father JimH in previous forums related to this topic. If you have read any of his posts, you would understand that I am one of the five winners of Lego Magazine's 14k Solid Gold C-3PO Lego mini figure giveaways from the Spring/Summer of 2007. As I am much older now and will be graduating from college in the Spring, my desire to sell the piece has increased. The revenue generated from selling the figure will help put me in a nicer financial standing as I head off into the real world. I will have my father comment on this thread as proof that I am his son and owner of the C-3PO figure. If you have any questions about the piece itself, estimates to what it is worth, or would like to make an offer on the piece, please do not hesitate to post in this thread or email me directly at -removed- May the force be with you! P.S. I am aware that my father has posted pictures of the figure in the past. Unfortunately, I am currently working as an intern away from home this summer. However, once I am back in a few weeks I plan to post updated pictures of the figure for further proof.
  7. LOTHAL SYSTEM, LOTHAL. SENTINEL BASE, ONE STANDARD DAY BEFORE THRAWN'S ARRIVAL... Holo transmission between Governor Tarkin and Emperor Palpatine... Emperor Palpatine to Tarkin: Governor, I received a report on a series of attacks by Phoenix Squadron on Sentinel base. Is this true? Tarkin: My Lord, the report states the truth. Palpatine(angrily): I expected better than this. You should have eradicated them by now, instead of being attacked Governor. Tarkin: But my Lord, the attacks were unexpected, and... Palpatine: Spare me the excuses Governor, I see that you are unfit for the task at hand, that is why I am sending Grand Admiral Thrawn to assist you. Tarkin(protesting): But your Lordship, I can handle this task without need Palpatine: Silence Governor! Perhaps I should send Lord Vader instead. Tarkin(afraid): There is no need my Lord, Grand Admiral Thrawn will be enough. Palpatine(pleased): Then so it shall be, Governor. I expect the situation to be resolved soon. Tarkin(very unhappy): Yes my Lord TRANSMISSION END SENTINEL IMPERIAL RESEARCH BASE ON LOTHAL, MISSILE RESEARCH DEPARTMENT, PRESENT TIME.... STAR DESTROYER CHIMAERA, CURRENTLY ORBITING LOTHAL. Assigned by Emperor Palpatine to aid Grand Moff Tarkin in defending the highly important missile base on Lothal, Grand Admiral Thrawn, along with his star destroyer, the Chimaera, have finally arrived in orbit around the planet. Boarding his shuttle, the Grand Admiral is prepared to crush the local resistance, also capturing key members part of Phoenix Squadron. The Lambda shuttle began it's landing procedure as it approached the landing pad. Shortly after landing, Grand Admiral Thrawn emerged from the shuttle, escorted by his usual security detail. Gazing around the airfield, Thrawn spotted troopers rushing to put out flames from the shield generator and the fuel tanks. Tarkin(unpleasantly,to Thrawn): Welcome Grand Admiral, to Sentinel base. We are honored by your presence. Thrawn(to Tarkin): Thank you Governor. Tell me, is there something troubling you? Tarkin(surprised): No, not at all Grand Admiral. Thrawn: We shall get to business then. Tarkin: Yes. Recently, there were a series of rebel attacks on our missile research base. Thrawn(Interrupting): So I heard. Tarkin(angry at being interrupted): Fortunately our defenses were enough to stop them from destroying the launch pad. The Emperor is very displeased. Thrawn: So that's the reason the Emperor assigned me here. Perhaps you can show me a few holo recordings of the attacks. Tarkin(unhappily) : Yes, we captured most of the attacks on the hidden holo cams as well discovering a phoenix insignia burned on a wall. Thrawn: Show me. Leading the Grand Admiral to the missile launch pad, Tarkin showed Thrawn the massive phoenix shaped burn on the wall. Thrawn: Interesting... After leaving the missile pad, Thrawn went to his new office in the research complex. Studying the holo recordings, a smile creeping onto his lips, Thrawn finally understood the motive of the rebels and their true target. Reaching for his comlink, he called Tarkin to his office. Tarkin: Yes Grand Admiral? What is it? Thrawn: Governor, I believe I have discovered the true target of the rebels. Tarkin: Really? What is it? The missile launch pad! That's their target! I will tighten the security there immediately! Thrawn: As I expected. You fell for their ruse. Tarkin: If it isn't the missile, then what is their target? Thrawn: Think Governor. The rebels obviously found the location of the missile. If they wanted to destroy it, the lab would be rubble by now. The attacks were a ruse to make us loosen our security in the laboratory so they can steal the technical readouts of the missile. Tarkin: So do I need to double the security in the lab? Thrawn: No Governor, still, prepare your troops. Tarkin: If I shouldn't tighten the security, why prepare my troops? Thrawn: I assure you Governor, if you listen to me, the rebels will be captured by the end of the day. Tarkin(Questioningly): Okay? So I'll follow your lead then.Thrawn: Good. Bring in some shadow guards as well, Governor. Tarkin : Why? Thrawn: I got a feeling that there will be Jedi present at the attack. RESEARCH LAB, COMPUTER TERMINAL, NEAR THE LAUNCH PAD, EIGHT STANDARD HOURS AFTER THRAWN'S ARRIVAL... HISSSSS... As the cut metal was pushed aside, Ezra Bridger, Kanan Jarrus, Sabine Wren and several troopers entered the laboratory. Ezra: Now that's easy. Sabine: The imperials don't seem to have even tightened their security. Trooper 1: Lieutenant, we found the technical readouts. Ezra: Extract them. Let's hope our luck holds out. Kanan: Be quick. I sense a trap. As the trooper extracted the technical readouts of the missile, the lights suddenly turned on and two squads of stormtroopers ran in, blasters drawn as well as two Shadow Guards and their Shadow Troopers. Grand Admiral Thrawn and Governor Tarkin soon entered the lab, escorted by Senate Commandos. Ezra: Thrawn! Tarkin: Ezra Bridger, Sabine Wren and Kanan Jarrus, you are under arrest! Ezra(angrily): How did you know we are attacking the lab? Thrawn: I noticed that you found the missile launch pad, yet you did not destroy it.Kanan: And how did you know we will be here? Thrawn: I suspect that your padawan learner left the phoenix mark with his lightsaber, to tell us that Phoenix Squadron was behind the attacks.Tarkin: Enough with the chit chat, trooper take them away! Sabine(to Thrawn): No matter how hard you try, Grand Admiral, Phoenix Squadron will always be one step ahead! Thrawn: I don't think so, rebel scum. In time, it will be I who is the victor. He watched the troopers as they led the rebels away. Tarkin: Your reputation certainly precedes you Grand Admiral. Thrawn: I'll take that as a compliment. Tarkin to Thrawn: The Emperor will be pleased. Not only did we resolve this matter, we captured two Jedi for him as well. Thrawn: Yes Governor, he will be. Also, I received a transmission form the Emperor himself. Tarkin(nervous): what did he say? Tell me! Thrawn: You are relieved of your assignment effective immediately. I am in charge of the Lothal system now and the problem of Phoenix Squadron. Tarkin(very mad): WHAAAT! Thrawn(calm): The Emperor requests you to go to imperial center at once as well. Tarkin(fuming): Oh I will! --------END-------- Pics of the mocs Made a sliding door for the big moc, got a bit stuck in the middle. here is a video

    [Moc] Re-done Snow speeder

This is my own rendition of the snow speeders from Hoth. This took less than a day to build, because it is a lot like the actual lego set. This is a view of it in another moc Here is a better picture This is the back view. I like it. Side view!! Follow me for other cool mocs! i don't have an Ladd file but it's an easy build and you can guess how it works?
  9. Standing 58cm tall and 59cm long, this AT-AT from Star Wars is probably my largest robot to date. It is controlled by an EV3 p-brick, and is capable of walking, turning its neck, and shooting balls from a twin-ball launcher located inside its head. Here is a list of the functions of the robot: - Walking: 2 EV3 large motors - Neck turning: 1 EV3 medium motor - Shooting: 1 NXT motor Also includes an EV3 IR sensor for use with the EV3 IR remote. After getting the BWE, I had a plentiful supply of grey beams and panels, which I used in the aesthetics of the model. The head design was the most tricky part of the build. I needed it to look good, while at the same time have enough space for the twin-ball shooter with magazines. However, I'm happy with the end result, as it looks quite accurate to the actual thing. With the amount of pieces I had, I was also able to achieve a (almost) full body cover, which although adds to the weight of the robot, looks really nice. There are also two flaps on top of the head that can be lifted up to access the ball magazines. Walking was especially tricky to achieve in this model, as it was so top heavy. Rubber bands had to be used to help pull in the legs when they bore the load of the robot, otherwise the motors would not have enough torque. All legs are controlled simultaneously by the two motors, so the robot theoretically can't turn. However, I doubt the robot could turn even if the two sides could be controlled independently, since it is so top heavy. The EV3 brick can be accessed through opening of the panels on the side of the body. This was the easiest way to access the electronics while keeping a full-body cover (The real AT-AT in the movies also had opening side body panels). Here is a video of the AT-AT walking, turning its neck, and shooting. More information about the robot can be found here: https://www.us.lego.com/en-us/mindstorms/community/robot?projectid=afba4def-3b6b-49f3-8e0f-f964224763d9 Hope you enjoyed this robot!

    Rare Items For Sale

Hi, I have two very rare developer brick that I'm currently selling on eBay. These bricks are only given to members of Traveler's Tales after a project is complete and will never be sold commercially. They have never been displayed since I received them. These are really hard to get a hold of and a lot of the staff that worked on these titles will never part with them. They'd make a great collectors item. Han Solo: [snap] Ultron: [snap]
  11. hi all, some months ago i made this video of lego battlebots, and now i'm posting it there because maybe you could be interested also for TC11, you'll find all the bot info in the video but i'll clone them here too, hope to bring up a brickshelf folder asap for the two bots (but i have to rebuild them due to pieces and electronics being used for witch doctor replica, cardiac two, fanmade design, killerhurts and recyclopse chassis, and other 3 500g class bot an grabber a lifer and a flipper) PULSAR weight: 700g size: 23x27x9studs weapon: 73g spinning drum with two single teeth 1900rpm strenghts: really effective wedge shape used to go under the opponent and lift them with the drum energy weaknesses: the drum isn't enough fast to launch the oppnent on the air, wheelholders may break off easily, weak wepon belt CARBIDE weight: 730g size: 32x32x9 studs weapon: 84g spinning bar 750rpm strenghts: great power and though armor, effective rear wedge weaknesses: the armor can e warped or bent and increase friction in the drivetrain, hard to control, high battery consumption here a photos from Ellis (pulsar builder) about size comparison here the video: NB it is really long, if you want, after presentation, you can skip to 11:02 to skip the fist fight (a bit long and boring) and save time without losing the most of the action! i'm keeping editing this with photos and videos from my twitter, it is hard to find them back but i'll try: CARBIDE PULSAR
  12. I want to present you my latest MOC. It is my entry for round 3 of the “MOC Olympics” contest (German LUG: imperiumdersteine.de). In this round we have to build a ship or scene of the upcoming STAR WARS Movie “Rouge One”. A base of 48 x 48 was the limit. As you can see I decided to build a “beach” scene on Scarif. Because of the limited space and time I build it in Microfighter-Scale. Therefore I designed two completely new Microfighter, the Tie-Striker and the U-Wing. The AT-ACTs are modifications of the original AT-AT Microfighters. I hope you like it. Bye for now Boba Rebel Attack on Scarif by Boba-1980, auf Flickr And some details: More Infos: www.imperiumdersteine.de/index.php?/topic/45913-idsmo-r3-... Star Wars Micro MOCs

I am quite a big fan of those tiny little 'micro kits' that you get in the Star Wars advent calendars (especially the ships!). I have trawled through both of my DK LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionaries and built pretty much every single set LEGO ever made in 'micro' form. The Majority of these are from the Original and Prequal trilogies, with quite a few from the Old Republic, Clone Wars, Rogue One, Rebels and EpVII- The Force Awakens. At the moment I have over 200 of these micros! Don't forget to check out my YouTube Channel at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmYOMZz6DyvM1euY2qrRfpA to see MicroMOC lists and Instruction videos And Of Course don't forget to LIKE, COMMENT & SUBSCRIBE to that! If you have made any similar micros please comment below etc.

Star Wars: Micro MOCs | mini kits

Hi everyone! I'm quite new, but I build lego Star Wars MicroMOCs; in other words 'mini minikits'. I got my ideas from the Star Wars advent calendar series- style micro kits. I have built over 200 so far and I'm still going, so if you want to see any of these regularly, check out my facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/James.Arts2172 and my YouTube Channel "James_Arts_2172: Lego" https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmYOMZz6DyvM1euY2qrRfpA All I did was go through every page of both DK Star Wars Visual Dictionaries and build every single ship and vehicle in them. Of course I have made many more besides (2014-present sets, Ep 7, Rogue One, Clone Wars, Rebel, Force Unleashed, Old Republic).

    Lego Set Display Stands

Hey, I'm new to posting on here however I was wondering what people use to display their lego sets? I'm looking for a way to display my X-Wings with the wings open and also some of the new sets so they look airborne but I'm not really a fan on making the stands out of Lego. Sorry if there is already a topic on this but I couldn't find one already in the forums. Any ideas would be helpful Thanks Mat

    LEGO Geonosian Arena MOC

This is my rendition of the Geonosian Arena from STAR WARS Attack Of The Clones. This has always been one of LEGO's most glaring omissions from the Star Wars line, hence why I decided to test out this MOC. OK, it's not excessively massive or complicated, but I just think it makes a neat little playset. Comment your opinions. Also don't forget to check out my LEGO IDEAS page for more information on this, and please support! :) from there you can read all about the design plan, the history, and also see any other photos of the MOC. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/158217

    [WIP] T-65 X-Wing

Hello guys , I am currently working on an X-Wing moc. The focus is to get it as close to the movie version as possible ( while strictly keeping it minifig-scaled ) , without caring about action-features , play value/"swooshability" etc . While waiting for a couple of Bricklink orders , I decided to post some WIP photos of what I have so far . Do have in mind that many of the parts' colours are substitutes while waiting for the correct coloured ones ( such as the brown nose and every white piece in there ) . Lastly , I 've decided to go with light bluish grey and not white for the main colour . I know this debate has been going on forever , and fully respect the people who want it white , but for me light bluish grey not only represents the actual colour a bit better , but also provides that battle damaged - real world and not CGI feel that I love about the original trilogy ( it's a real, living world , with real vehicles and that sets it apart as the best in the sci-fi genre , imo at least ). Anyway , enough indirect prequel shots fired , here are some pictures , please share your opinions and/or suggestions (sorry about the medium-low level quality , a friend borrowed my camera so I had to make do with my phone ) . There's also and LDD file I made which I'm attaching , it's not quite the whole thing , it's more of a sketch-up of how it's going to look without caring about how everything will connect ( as it is better to find that out when physically building it , when illegal and unorthodox connection techniques can be used ) , so have a look there , as there's much more than I've shown built in the photos above ( almost the whole thing , or at least the first version of it ) . Finally , note that there's going to be a "88295" part (http://www.bricklink...colorID=66&in=A) stuck on the "85861" parts on each of the four laser-canons , they're just not available in LDD so I couldn't show it there . Please share your opinion , recommendation or any other type of feedback guys , I really need it and will truly appreciate it . Thanks for looking !

    [MOC] [LDD] Midi Slave 1

Hello Eurobricks community, Since I bought the LEGO Star Wars Slave 1 Set 75060 UCS I started looking around for midi scale MOC's of this ship and I found the now 6 years (!) old topic of 'Eichhorn', who build this very same midi scale model. Unfortunalety the LDD link run out, so I had to copy it from the pictures and finally I build my own, new version of it with new bricks that weren't available at that time. It still looks quite similar, but I gave it some curvy shapes and made it look more dynamic. So here it is, the Slave 1 version 2.0: For any questions or details don't hesitate to ask me! Eichhorn's original Slave 1: http://www.eurobrick...opic=45581&st=0

  25. Hi everyone! Here's one of the next of two figures we hope to release this year, Galactic Hero.
