    75060 - UCS Slave I MOD/MOC

I was actually looking for a similar topic to the UCS Millennium Falcon mods tread but I couldn't find it. The main adaptation I did was the functional boarding ramp, as demonstrated below. It took me a while to figure it out but eventually found a solution where I didn't have to sacrifice too much of the original set. Other changes include; Bulkhead between cargo bay and crew quarters ladder connecting cargo bay, crew quarters and cockpit bunkbox behind pilot chair conical blaster anchorages on the hulll Light functionality This was very fun to build in. There's actually a small maintenance compartment above the bed but It's impossible to see without taking apart the upper hull. The ladder goes down to the crew quarters. Depending on the orientation of the ship, this is either a vertical or a horizontal shaft. The pilot chair can still rotate. The crew quarters, located below the pilot chair (in flying mode) isn't that much to talk about. The space is very limited. The structural beams within the ship limited the position of the platform. Fixing this will require some serious modifications. The cargo bay. I used to have shelves on the starboard side as well but had to remove them in order to fit the door-ramp mechanism. Like the crew quarters this area could also use some finishing touches but I haven't decided yet on which way to go here. One of the light bricks shines all the way through the ship interior (the other one only in the bunk box). To max out the available space in the crew quarters I had to place the pilot chair in it highest position. Therefor I had to change the energy shield shroud, which is located above the pilot, in order to have Boba Fett utilise his helmet gear. That's about it, feel free to make suggestions, I'm not finished with this one yet .
  2. The fantastical feast is held each year, at Majisto's castle, and no party is complete without a few uninvited guests. Ogwen the dragon has escaped the dungeon and decided to also partake, because the guards were also at the party, Ogwen was only noticed when trying to enter the great hall. -- What better theme to build a party for, then for the Dragon Masters which have their 30th anniversary this year. GoH 10 B: Wax and Wick

This is an entry for the Old but Gold category of the current challenge. I took some time deciding which old build to revamp, and eventually settled on this candlemaker’s shop I built back in 2014 (is it really that long ago ). It was one of my favorite medieval buildings for a long time, and it was a lot of fun revisiting it. Like the original, it features a full interior and this time uses the floating cobblestone technique we have previously shared a tutorial on. Glorfindel and Eryl continued on their journey after stopping at the Wayfarer’s Den, eventually coming to Hradheim. There Glorfindel was able to visit his old friend, Kenan, who owns the candle shop Wax and Wick. It sits in the shopping district of Hradheim which is always bustling with folks going about various errands or hawking their wares. Some sweet treats purchased from a baker’s stall nearby were just the thing to provide energy for another day’s travel. See more images on Brickbuilt and full resolution on Flickr.
  4. This is my entire to "Life in Cedrica" contest. At the perimeter of Cedrica there are remains of the old city wall. Around these pieces of stone walls, the houses have been built so that they enclose the parts of the wall that still stands up. In the block, several craftsmen has moved in from the four guilds. All have come to Cedrica to seek fortune in the city with the crafts and skills they have. A business man from Kaliphlin has his fish shop on the ground floor of his house. He buys much of the fish from local fishermen. But since he is financially minded, he also pulls up fish directly from the channel as well and sells to his customers. From Varlyrio comes a baker who sells fresh bread every morning to the neighbors. When there is time, he devotes himself to his passion in life, reading books. A potter from Avalinia has moved into a small house on a back street. Here he sells the produce of his craft. A cabinet maker and his family live in a house next to the old city wall. On the ground floor is the carpentry shop where many of the block's furniture have been made. The fish shop The bakery The potter house The cabinet maker house and his family And some more pictures More fotos will be available at Flickr The craft district of Cedrica
  5. Had to build something for this challenge! It has been far too long since I made a large medieval scene. I got quite a lot of elements in the new flesh colors last year, and have been wanting to make some buildings with them ever since. However, that did lead to the city block looking more Venetian than I initially planned The model is viewable from all sides and features full interiors throughout with businesses on the ground floor and apartments above. There is even a section of sewers underneath street level. Any sections of the buildings that overhang the base size can easily be removed in case I ever choose to add on more modules with buildings that sit flush against these. Lord Karsten was honored to have an invitation to appear in Queen Ylspeth's court as one of the representatives for a Mitgardian embassy, and for the first time was able to bring Lady Karin and the twins with him to the capitol city. Harburg is a good sized town, but the crowded streets of Cedrica were an entirely new experience for Eryl and Elise. Even Valholl couldn't compare to the sheer size and density of Historica's capitol. There was so much to see and explore that Karin had a hard time convincing her children to return to their guest quarters each evening. The canals were especially fascinating for Eryl. More photos: Interiors, starting with a scribe's office and living quarters (where her mischievous son is up to no good): The larger building houses a shop for elegant ceramic and metal goods on the ground floor and apartments above: Sewers: You can see more photos on Brickbuilt. [MOC] Single-family home

Hello, I would like to present to you my latest MOC of a single-family home with garage: It is inspited by several projects of similar style that is apparently quite popular around the area of Warsaw, Poland. Could be not just here, but more widespread phenomenon. This is a a fully furnished two story building with small garden, garage and a fitting car (yes, it does fit inside, although barely :) ) The tree was built to finally use all those leaves I took from a PAB wall. And boy, is it part intensive... Here you can have another look at the tree and the side of the building: and yet another one: And now for the car: I am not a car expert, just wanted to have something to go with the building :) OK, so let's go inside. But just before that - a general areal view of the ground floor and surroundings: Here you can clearly see the plan of the ground floor. Once you enter the house from the top, you will see stair leading to the first floor on your right, underneath those is a kitchen area, on your left doors leading to the garage, bookcase, and doors to the toilet. Straight ahead door leading outside to the other side of the building. And here is a view of the kitchen: and the other side of the room: Let's climb the stairs and see what awaits us on the first floor: A living room with essentials like gaming console ;) There is also a bedroom with wardrobe, desk and a bedside table: More pictures can be found on my Bricksafe. I hope you like it :)
  9. The Queen celebrates her birthday on the 25th of December, many guest come to celebrate with her, even the dwarven king of Tondelheim. On this bright moonlit night, many festivities are planned, however the queen isn't very impressed by the jester. Visit the Queen by moonlight by Ids, on Flickr For a better view of the King and Queen: The King of the Hill, over there, somewhere by Ids, on Flickr Some background info, the scene is lit using 6 old 12V train lights, this gives the needed warm light for the scene. For the moonlight I used an old phone as a flashlight (nice white LED light) and for the candle on the table to the right, with the King and Queen, I used an exo-force "Fiber Optics Cable Wide 20L" which runs through the candle, table, and wall behind the figs, there it is lit using another flashlight. The stained glass is build around an old Knights Kingdom panel, which was a bit difficult to incorporate because I did not want to use the piece that is normally used. I used a bunch of animals, can you spot them all. Thanks for looking and I am always happy to hear some comments.
  10. It had tried Majisto's patience for months, the attitude of the young wizard recently taken under the protection of the Black Knights. The new mage was constantly boasting to any tavern wench or random farm hand about how he could summon an army of demons from an unnamed void that would be stronger than any dragon the Dragon Masters could raise. Well, it was time to teach this kid a lesson--for the soul of a dragon set loose in its pure form of fire and rage is a very nasty opponent and Majisto had figured out long ago how to bind many of them to a specially enchanted lantern... My entry for the CCC XIX "Battle" category. More pics in the Album. C&C Appreciated!

  13. After finally building a functional chassis for my MOC I'm ready to start on the exterior and interior detail. Since this is the first time I'm making a 1:8 sports car, I would really welcome some advice from the community. When looking at the chassis photos please note that the EV3 IR sensor will not sit on the large motor for the final product. My car MOC is a 1:8.3 scale replica of the Lexus LC500 in Porsche 911 GT3 RS orange. The most challenging parts for me will be replicating the body with panels (I never replicated the shape of a car for an MOC), as well as the headlights, taillights, center console, and an engine cover with details under the hood. I will also be putting a medium motor in the trunk to power the small retractable wing as seen on the Premium Package for the LC500. Chassis Pictures: Blueprints and exact measurements (in inches) for the MOC according to Sariel's model scaler: Thank you.

    Folwin Begins His Day

While most people don’t appreciate how early Dwelfs tend to start their days, anyone who has had the pleasure of sharing a Dwelf’s breakfast has to concede that it’s well worth the lost sleep. Though still a rather young Dwelf at just 35 years old, Folwin already lives on his own in a cozy cottage not too far from his uncle Nym’s home. They both share a love for gardening and plant life, and over the years Folwin has learned much from his older relative. After Nym’s sudden disappearance, Folwin has had much to do fulfilling both of their customers’ needs. Took me way too long to get around to posting this here, but better late than never I suppose Some more photos on Brickbuilt.
  15. Here, it is set in the 'Turn Of The 1990s' when they first bought their floral print lounge suites, a mahogany bookshelf and cocktail buffet but before the fireplace had a stone surround built and when the brick arch/skirting were painted peachy pink! The 1x1 headlight brick makes a great TV set! I really do miss these good times at their former residence! Dating from the Late 19th Century, it also had three bedrooms, a small kitchen that had a swing out counter that allowed access to underground wine storage, a large backyard and a swimming pool! Here's what the living room looked like prior to my day of birth! And after the refurbishment:

  17. The Desert King meets with an impressive group of individuals in a grand audience chamber. "You all know why we're here. Individually we have each caused Historica to tremble, but ultimately have always been thwarted by the united might of the guilds. However with our collective strength we would be unstoppable!" The Algus snarled in reply: "And what conditions do you propose, oh king of the deserts? Though together we can undoubtedly conquer the whole of Historica, will all our efforts only serve to enrich you?" "Indeed, what reason have we to offer you our armies?" added the Drow representative. "Oh it's all very straightforward. As you see there are five of us, and five guilds. After all resistance is crushed each of us will have an entire guild of our own. Commander Basil will naturally have Varlyrio, the Algus Mitgardia, Raavage Nocturnus, and you Drow will finally be able to claim Avalonia." Will these villains accept the Desert King's plan? What hope has Historica in the face of such foes? And is the Desert King really the one behind all of this? Since the Desert King’s return there have been many rumors in Kaliphlin about what or who he really is. The latest juicy gossip reveals what the true nature of the ancient pharaoh is… Merely a puppet for one of the most powerful blackguards ever to rise in Historica: Victor Revolword. Rumor has it he’s been putting together clandestine meetings with the most dangerous of Historica baddies – even those reported as long dead! Here's my entry for category A of Challenge III. I’ve been wanting to do another build for Kaliphlin, and this challenge provided the perfect opportunity. I’ve also been itching to do some floor mosaics after getting a large PaB cup full of tan cheese – which led to me looking for potential designs I could use in this build. After a little bit of searching, I came across this pattern by the Queen of Cheese, Katie Walker. I thought it would fit quite well, and so replicated it, just tweaking the colors to suit our piece collection better. More pictures: Mosaic And there are more images on Brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, C&C welcome
  18. This is my latest MOC! The idea for this creation simply came from memories when I was a kid (the 80s) and the exciting moment when my family came home with a brand new TV. The design of this room however is meant to be from the 70s and is mostly made up in my mind, with the help of some reference photos to get the right 70s feeling. Can you recognize what painting I have tried to recreate on the wall? You can see more of my MOCs on my Instagram.

    Wolfpack Keep

This was my eighth entry for the Colossal Castle Contest XVI, in the Classic Castle category. Like the original Wolfpack sets, I used primarily black walls with bley accents, red roofs, and even included a few dark gray parrots. A hinging portion and removable wall give access to the full interior. The bandit wolfpack’s keep is set on a small lake deep in one of Mitgardia's many forests. It serves as their permanent base of operations. A sturdy drawbridge is the only way to access the fortress, and its secluded position has kept it safe so far from any large scale attacks by the jarl’s soldiers. Plenty more pictures can be seen on Brickbuilt. Feedback always appreciated

    MOC Modern Villa

It's been a while since I built and posted a modular building, and this post will be another exception. Still not a modular building, but at least it's a house. I've been busy with life, and a little bit fed up with the same design (or very similar) with my modular buildings, so I had a break and ventured to build other themes. Nevertheless, my luck changed and my building block was overcome when I got this old raised baseplate from Poolside Paradise. I never had Paradisa sets as a child, but I liked the plate anyway and wanted to put it to good use. Since the building space is very limited, this is what I came up with. My idea was to hide the odd light green baseplate color, but leave the stone pattern of the driveway. This is why I covered the pool area with tiles representing wooden patio, and the surrounding of the raised baseplate with LBG ingots representing stones. In addition to this raised baseplate, I got several other old bricks and pieces over the last few months, and the idea was to incorporate as much as possible of them. I used the old palm tree trunks and a few pink plates around the house. Other than that I wanted a clean design with a chance to see the interior details when exhibited. In light of a tribute to Paradisa theme, I used pink and purple shades as an accent throughout the building. The ground floor is a kitchen and dining area with seating for two since it's a very small floor plan. The chrome silver cup is another old part, from the Belville series. The kitchen working space is small, there are a stove and oven, a sink, some cabinets, and a fridge. I added a green plant to live up the room a bit. The best part of this floor is, in my opinion at least, the view of the flowers, palm trees, and the pool. The parts for the palm tree trunk are not as sturdy as I expected, that's the reason the palm trees are so flexed. Nevertheless, they provide excellent shade for lounging by the pool. On the second floor, there's a bedroom with a side table and some bookshelves. Since I love to read, I want to add a touch of that to all my buildings. Color-sorted books is another thing I do at home, too. The bed has a large headboard design, with a print from the Friends Heartlake Grand Hotel. The chair and some books on this floor are from the recently acquired collection of old parts in pink. On the top floor, there's a reading nook with a comfortable chair and more bookshelves. The sliding doors open to the small terrace, where the owner keeps one of her larger plants and used the terrace as her favorite place to do some yoga or pilates early in the morning. All in all, I'm happy with the finished villa, and the hints to three different LEGO themes designed primarily for girls. While I'm not a huge fan of these themes as such, I'm excited with many of the parts these themes introduced. There are a few more pictures of the villa from different angles on my Flickr account if you wish to see more.
  21. While I absolutely LOVE the exterior of the new Ghostbusters set, the interior was much in need of an overhaul! While it technically "seated" all four figs it did so rather comically. Here then, are my mods. It seats all four in the proper placement without affecting the exterior or seriously degrading the integrity of the structure. See other images here. As I have received requests for it, here is the LDD file: Ecto1-Mods.lxf
  22. My third contribution to the Kaliphlin at Work collab, and also my first entry to this year’s CCC, for the Interior category. This build was both a joy and a pain to build. Some parts of it came together very quickly, while others – well, they came together less quickly. In the end though, I’m very happy with the result. Credit for the lion mosaic goes to @Basiliscus, I pretty much just copied his design from this magnificent build. While working in the gardens of Lord Farih’s estate, Nym heard that there was going to be a dance in the great hall. Being the curious and slightly mischievous Dwelf that he is, Nym decided it would be alright – yes, even a fine idea – to slip in and watch the dance for a while. After all, he was sure that Lord Farih had every intention of inviting him, but had just forgotten amidst all the numerous tasks that had to be done to plan a dance. And what a grand dance it was! The various noblemen and women wore their finest clothes and twirled gracefully around the hall. Nym was enjoying himself greatly when he noticed some fine chairs set by themselves under elaborate awnings. Curious as to why such grand seats would be left empty, Nym sat down on the right most chair and found it amazingly comfortable. He hardly had time to settle in before finding himself looking down the blade of a very sharp sword. Farih’s guards quickly made it clear to Nym that those chairs were not meant to be occupied by lowly gardeners, while his own charming demeanor quickly convinced the Sargent that he had no ill intentions – he was merely testing the seat’s cushions, to be sure they were proper for royalty. After assuring them he would do no further ‘testing’, they politely escorted him out of the hall. What an experience! More pictures: And just in case you were in doubt, there are people working here! Poor scribes never get a break... Lots more pictures on Brickbuilt! Thanks for looking, C&C welcome

    Mitgardian Farmhouse

Entry number four into the Colossal Castle Contest XVI. I built this house for another project, but figured I might as well enter it into the miscellaneous category. There is a full interior inside the house, accessed via lift off roof. I'll be using this build in a tutorial covering how to angle buildings on landscapes in the future - but it probably won't be posted until the CCC is done Many farmers have small homesteads in the tundra of Mitgardia. This particular family’s livestock consists of chickens and goats. You can find more images on Brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, and feedback is always appreciated
  24. This is my first MOC (Or partial MOC I guess) which I haven't been outright embarrassed by which I've been building for the past week or so. I'ts the interior for a LEGO UCS The Punishing One, but I COMPLETELY lack the skill to do the rest of the MOC. So far I've only made the interior, which personally I think I've actually done a fairly good job of, though I haven't done the cockpit. (The tiles in front of the door the farthest up are supposed to be the start of it) So because of being terrible at building MOC's I was hoping someone could take the task over from me... I'd be happy to help however I can though, but if you use my interior I'd be a little annoyed if you didn't at the very least give me credit. You can download the lxf file for it here, which is meant to be opened in Lego Digital Designer https://www.dropbox.com/s/7dle8y675a3ykn0/Star Wars Jumpmaster 5000 Dengar's ship the Punishing One.lxf?dl=0 As for references to the vehicle I'd suggest referring to http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/JumpMaster_5000, and the X-Wing Miniatures series model of it if you feel like spending the money on it https://www.amazon.com/Fantasy-Flight-Games-Star-X-Wing/dp/B013TRXXD6 A basic view A top-down view The bunks Dengar's lounge' :P The cabinets and draws The oven/microwave hybrid and stove (Hey, it's sci-fi, of course it can be a hybrid and the reason for this is definitely not that I'm just lazy :P Hey look! For once a Star Wars ship actually has a freaking toilet lol I also want to point out my the pattern I've made for the walls. Since I couldn't find a way to smooth it up a bit I decided to make it a pattern, albeit very basic, but I don't think Dengar would really care about aesthetic lol. Here is a space I've cut out for the Boarding/Cargo ramp as well. I also plan to build interiors for several other Star Wars ships by the way

    Harburg Kitchen

This is my first entry into the Colossal Castle Contest XVI. If you haven't already seen it, you should really check it out. It runs through the end of December, and this model of mine is one of the prizes: The castle room interior category caught my eye this year, so I started off with that. After looking up some medieval kitchens I decided on including a series of stone arches connected by wooden rafters. The loosely connected floor tiles were inspired by Cesbrick, while Matthew Oh’s build gave me the idea of forced perspective stairs. I tried to pack in plenty of kitchen details, so be sure to check out all the images. Like most castles, Harburg has a large kitchen to produce the substantial amount of food required for the staff and castle inhabitants. Eryl and his mother, Lady Karin, visit the kitchen today to check on the preparations of a feast for some visiting dignitaries from throughout Mitgardia. While Karin is shown about by head cook Svein, Eryl takes a turn cranking the spit of meat over the fire and chats with one of the young kitchen apprentices who is about his own age. The warmth and cheerful bustle of the kitchen makes it one of Eryl’s favorite rooms in the castle. Additional pictures can be seen on Brickbuilt. Comments and criticism welcome
