[MOC] Gandalf and Thorin at Bree

This is a remake of a very old MOC of mine, and one of my favorite scenes from the Appendices of LOTR. The original MOC was absolutely horrendous so I will not link it here. If you care to dig through my MOCPages folders, feel free to suffer! Thorin tells Gandalf of his plans to reclaim the Lonely Mountain (Erebor) and Gandalf offers to find the 14th member of the company. This is based on my own interpretation of the scene in the book, as well as a painting by Ted Nasmith, rather than the scene from the movie. I tried out some new techniques and styles here and I tried to put in as much detail as I could. Overall I'm rather happy with the results. I appreciate all comments and constructive criticisms!

    Future Licensed Sets ?

I've been searching a general topic in this LEGO Licensed part in vain so I decided to create my first one. Maybe it could be used as a topic for future new licensed sets before they have their own topic. Originally, my question was about the future of The Wizard of Oz with LEGO in 2019 ? With the reappearance of the license The Simpsons after 3 years without one Simpsons set and the 1939 movie anniversary next year, is it possible to have something more than 71221 (Dimensions 2015) and 70917 (TLBM 2017) ? We have great molds for the flying monkeys from 70917, we have the Wicked Witch of the West, we have Toto, we have an anniversary next year (1939-2019) but do we still have the license next year ?
  3. With the new Harry Potter sets I wondered what a new Chamber of Secrets would look like. I would like the Basilisk to be moulded so I focused on the environment itself. Including the snake entrance and the tunnels Harry escaped through in the films before confronting the Basilisk again.
  4. Hello guys, For the last month, I've been working on my Dark Wizards Tower on and off. I really want to go through with this moc but I need your help to finish it. So far I have completed the exterior of 2 sides (Not enough parts for the other 2 sides) and next I am going to be building the interior. There are 5 floors and they all come apart. I need suggestions for 4 things; 1. A Name for the Tower (If I really like it and end up using it, I will send you a free copy of the instructions when there ready :) 2. Ideas for the 4 floors of the tower (Plus the dungeon) 3. An idea for the top, something really cool. 4. Overall feedback on the exterior of the tower and things I can improve. Thanks so much for looking. I'll be updating this thread as I go along.
  5. I decided The Nexo Knights Volcano Lair playset needed a little something extra... I added a Skull tower with a throne and a platform for adding ingredients into a cauldron for mixing up magical mischief... Work in progress image... Best picture I could get of the throne

    The Elf-Witch Cottage

The Elf-Witch Cottage In the depths of the enchanted woods, where reality and fantasy meet, an elf-witch has lived since forever. Nobody knows her name or her exact age, maybe 100, maybe 1000 years, but it doesn't matter, she's part of the woods she lives in now. She's always busy with her magic potions and her studies… fascinated by nature's incredible colors and shapes, she keeps on living in her house, away from the rest of the world. I've always been fascinated by nature, by its colors, and by the fantasy universe. In this project I tried to put it all together, using unusual parts and colors that I'd underestimated before. I'm very satisfied with the result. You can look at more pictures here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/vedosololego/albums/72157682099871646 Or You can support on LEGO Ideas here: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/172038 Thank You

    Oswald the Ordinary

Oswald strives to be ordinary. You think all wizard workshops are rickety and colourful? Well you are wrong there my friend. For you have obviously never meet Oswald, who is the one wizard in all the land who prefers the laws of gravity to imagination. Entry for R1 of the LCBTC. Hello everybody, its been a while. And it may seem I have been rather inactive but in truth I have been busy building things that just cannot be posted yet... I don't mind this, it's not really a wizards workshop that much. No bright colours and wonky angles (hense the name). Oh well, hopefully i will do better next round (if I get through that is :p) Hope you enjoy and C&C Needed.

    At the Black Knight's Inn

Attention! Since it took me nearly a year to continue this story, recent events have overtaken me. Therefore, this story part takes place before MassEditor's prelude story that is linked below. All links are in chronological order. Make sure to (re-)read it! Glance into the future Three Ravens At the Black Knight's Inn The Resistance Unites (by MassEditor) When you ran out of coin, get out of here! the host had said. “Always the same sad business. No one treasures the value of a wise old man anymore.” Perry Ratchett mumbled into his grey beard, while he stumbled out of the Black Knight’s Inn. Aye, that old hoax of the heroic black knight defending a bridge against a king and losing all his limbs, one by one. That was a popular tale here in the East. The old wizard wondered how the people would react when they were told that this very story served as a shining example of chivalry and ideal courage in Avalonia. “I’m too late again! Foolish old dunderhead. “ Ratchett thought. He had never been an excellent wizard. Often he had proven himself not even an average wizard. But, after all, he was one. It was not a matter of the prowess as magician at all, he was just unfortunate enough to live in a wondrous world that offered as much kinds of ale, vine and liquor as it housed magical miracles. But now he was on a quest. He had witnessed what may would be and no it was on him, Peregrine Ratchett, the purple wizard, to prevent this city and its lord from ruin. He could see his course clear, the first time for years he felt the weightiness of his role in the world. He now had influence on the lifes of many. And although he was well aware of the immense threat to come, Perry silently enjoyed the feeling to be of some importance again. This wizard was back into business. As soon as he set a foot on the rough cobblestone the wizard had found for whom he was looking. Several armed men surrounded him, ensuring there would be no escape. A tall rat furred with brown and white hair approached. His look was strict and hard. But for those who were able to listen, his eyes would tell stories of grief and sorrow, deeply immured in an will of iron. The wizard recognized him immediately from his vision. “What is thy business in this town, old man?” the rat lord said. “I was told of a wizard arriving, speaking of great matters; dark menaces toward. Now all I see is a drunken vagabond, maybe hoping to be kept by my household in return for palmistry and other legerdemain. Do not dare to waste my time by trying to fool me.” The old wizard had expected mistrust. But this rat proved to be amongst that kind of stubborn beings who wouldn’t believe in dragons unless they recognised the smell of their burnt skin, or fur in such a case. He had to take care of what to say:”You may take me for a drunkard an impostor. And whilst I cannot deny my flaws I affirm you that serious wizardry is my business. I am Peregrine Ratchett. And I am called the purple wizard. And not only for the colour of my hat, I assure you. That is just frippery.” The lord of Skavenport kept his straight face, while his companions bandied inquiring gazes. A very uncomfortable silence spread and lasted far too long. Perry realised that this lord was still waiting for his explanations, either to be convinced or for having a reason to throw him into the deepest dungeon of the city; “I have come to assist you by the quest that lies ahead of you. For I have seen what may will be, and I say you there is no time to lose!” Osric Isentooth’s face became even more sceptical: “And what quest shall this be? Gathering my troops, march out with all the banners of red and gold waving in the wind? Many souls in Nocturnus call for this. No day that I do not receive requests for assistance from this lord and that village. I have no need for another supplicant to tell me about the sorrows that plague this land. I know them. Call the town watch and chase this vagabond out of my city!” The wizard rushed towards Osric:”The Lord of Shadowmere is calling for you! Will you deny his request?” The lord’s face turned angry: “You should have heard the rumours on your pub crawl. It is told in every tavern; Vladivus is dead.” Ratchett’s lips formed a grim smile: “He is alive. At least as much as his kind can be. You will see. Assemble Skavenport’s army, my lord. March out and engage the Black Spire. You are not alone. Raavage’s craft is to cloud his enemies’ awareness. The resistance is still strong. But you must unite your forces. Separating the last strongholds of the Darklands, destroying the remaining free peoples of Nocturnus one by one is the very intention of the Spire. Unite your armies, reclaim the East from Raavage, and the other guilds will join you. Because this fight is not the mere battle for Nocturnus. If you fail it will conclude the fate of all Historica. Tis the quest I have foreseen, the quest you will have to face up to.” Osric seemed to stare into an abyss, when he finally spoke: “All what you say... it either makes you an egregiously able wizard, or an equally able agent of my foes. Either way, I will learn the truth. Into the dungeon with him!” Perry felt that everything had gone wrong. While he resigned himself to a longer phase of soberness, a black hooded messenger arrived, bowed shortly before lord Osric, giving him a small piece of parchment, before heading away in a hurry. The rat lord looked at the sigil in surprise, broke it and unfurled the writing. It took him a moment to come to terms with it. Then he looked at the wizard and spoke: “Bring him to the castle. Host him in the keep, but do not let him leave it. And keep him sober.” He turned to his two captains, a rat and a grim looking sturdy human: “I have to leave the city. Lord Vladivus is indeed alive, or correctly: undead. A council will be held in Shadowmere. A council of the Resistance. I have to go.” “Alone? My lord! Every swathe of land between Shadowmere and the Grimwoods is occupied by the Spire. Damn it! Every single bloody stone in the Moruth has a Spire soldier guarding it!” the human said indignantly. “I have to go. And no time to lose. But I am well aware of the dangers such a journey involves. Therefore you will escort me, Dunstan. Why shall I fear a thousand Spire soldiers with you roaring at them?” Osric responded. Visibly amused the other captain began to speak: “I rest assured that you will make the journey without harm, my lord. My dear Sir Dunstan is no doubt the loudest man in Skavenport. But what are thy orders to me?” “You, good sir Aethelrat, will procure that an army in readiness will await our return. Gather supplies, lade war machines and keep the city’s fortifications operational.” Lord Isentooth commanded. Then he turned back towards the purple wizard: “I am still in doubt about your intentions. I will concern myself with you when I return. But for the time being I shall not call you a liar; war is to come. Allies are calling. And Skavenport shall answer.” ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________- So far, thanks for reading! And I am deeply sorry about the low photo quality. It's impossible for me to get the right lighting for such a weirdly angled build.

    [MOC] Lions and Dragons

Hello all! I build these vignettes as both a nod to Classic Castle of the late 80s/early 90s and the 2010 Kingdoms-theme, which features a new take on the old antagonism between the two powers. The sets of the 2010-incarnation weren't great (well, mostly!), but the minifigs were just awesome! Anyway, enough blabla. Lets have a look at the Throne-room of the Dragon Queendom: For the Dragon Knights I had a distinctive, quite archaic look in mind, which pays tribute to the often harsh and inhospitable land they live in. A clear geometry with straight lines and steep slopes to give the impression of the Queen’s throne room being made of large black stones cut into simple shapes. Quite a imposing fortress-like architecture really with inspiration from ancient Babylonian temples and the city of Windhelm from the game Skyrim, with a little bit of Saruman’s throne Room thrown in. I also decided to give it a more asymmetric layout, to make it visually more interesting and slightly unsettling. The fireplace is made from a transparent Nexo Knights minifigure-base and a light brick I got from a Prince of Persia set. It turned out looking quite naturalistic and required no fancy effects added in post-production at all! Meanwhile, at the court of the Lion King: The Lion Kingdom got a more welcoming throne room, which impresses rather by its elaborated decoration than with brutalist geometry. It is in every respect a more conventional setting, with typical medieval decorative elements and a warm colour palette and a quite symmetric layout to emphasize noble rulership, justice and stability. The striped columns are inspired by the throne room of Emperor Charlemagne in the cathedral of Aachen, as my King himself is inspired by the life of the real-life ruler.

    [MOC] Bursar

Good so be would you if, duff plum of helping second A. Bursar (by Sir Terry Pratchett) My newest character from Discworld, Bursar the crazy wizard. The main idea here was to capture a glint of his madness with unlevel eyes. I also managed to include details from different books, like bare feet (Reaper Man), crossbow bolt (Moving Pictures) and new jar of dried frog pills (Hogfather). More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  11. The Lecturer of Recent Runes, a member of the Senior Faculty of Unseen University, the greatest magical university in Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld. Not very important character in the books, but I the UU wizards are my favorites, so important part of my task to build Ridcully's faculty. More on Cyclopic Bricks.
  12. Hello! This is my first MOC, created a few months ago using LDD. The idea is an adventuring party has set up camp for the night, and while the members make their preparations for the journey ahead, the bard plays by the fire to entertain them. I hope to build this scene "in the brick" one day, and I know there are several things I want to change already. But what I'd love is to hear from some of the expert MOCers here on ideas to improve. Please, feel free to rip it to shreds - you can't hurt my feelings. I'm just looking for ways to improve my skills. Thanks in advance everyone! A fiery Bandit (Free Build)

Okay first off, this is my first Free Build, my first build for Historica period. So it might not be amazing but I don't think it's terrible. Constructive Criticism is appreciated. It features my character Dorshov the wizard, And yeah, on to the story: The wind rustled through the trees in one of the dense forests in Nocturnus. Step step clack, step step clack. The rhythmic sounds of foot steps and a walking stick echoed through the trees. An old man rounded the bend and started for the small bridge that spanned the small gorge cut by the creek that it surrounded. Ahead of him, on the opposite bank hidden behind a tree was a lone bandit. From his hiding place, he stared covetously at the large red jewel at the tip of the old mans walking stick. . As the old man stepped onto the bridge the bandit leapt out from his hiding place and charged forward! The old man (Dorshov), raised his staff and cried out a guttural word. And fire blasted from his staff, and the bandit screamed as he was consumed by fire.As the bandit crumbled to ash, Dorshov resumed his journey leaving the a mound of ash and a sword behind... finis (that's Latin for finish or end) As I said already compliments and criticism is welcome, thank you for taking the time to look at this. As requested I have added pictures of the entire build.

    Glance Into The Future

"Damn ol' man! This was the last time!" Cedryc the Innkeeper came running out of the Leaking Barrel. "Where me coin? I've got enough dopey boozers here, I don't need a bilking wizard!" The old man mumbled an unintelligible song and tottered along the path. "I swear it to you, Perry, Coin now, or that door will remain closed for ya." The wizard stopped his waving walk immediately, pricked up ears and eventually turned around:" Cedryc? Is that you? Ah...my old ears. I thought I heard someone. What can I do for you?" "Don't take me for a fool- You heard me. Just foot the bill." Peregryn Ratchett, the purple wizard straightened up, trying to pose with great dignity, and said:" You are in luck today, Mister Barliman. For I am a wizard, and not one of those smirking charlatans, who try to confuse the more simple men with their conjuring tricks. Nor I be one of those who speak with somber voice, moaning and talking of dark things to come, only to frighten the good rural men. I am a real wizard, and real wizardry is my craft. So speak, how can I serve you?" "Oh no! Not again! I know your wizardry. What's with that 'enchanted frying pan` you gave me last time? You transfigured my daughters cat. Every time I put it on the fire it starts screaming miserably. And I cannot lay a fish in it without it vanishing." "Meeeoow", the frying pan made a purring sound in Cedry's hand. "It takes great knowledge to cast such a spell. You should be aware of my skills. Once kings asked for my advice and many a noble lord beseeched me to grant him a glimpse into his fortune." "Ha! Fortune! say you what: If you really can let me have a look into future, then I forget about the bill." Perry made a meaningful expression:"So be it. But you shall be warned! Even a small glance into a man's future could drive him mad. Neither do I have the possibility to destine the time and place of the vision, nor can I influence what you will see. Now we need something...a looking glass, ah, the kitten will do. Hold up the pan." The purple wizard held his hand upon the frying pan, mumbling spells in a obscure deep voice, his eyes closed. Suddenly the bottom of the pan seemed to dissolve, and a sallow green light shimmered through. Then the vision came: "Meeow!" The frying pan flew away and hit on the ground, now being the kitten again. "What? Where? Why??..What?" Cedryc, the poor Innkeeper cowered on the ground, still starring into the pictures, which now were burned into his mind. "Hm...That was not right. The effect was by far too strong. My poor Cedryc, I am afraight these things were not destined for your eyes. I warned you that I have now influence on it." Perry felt very sober now. He sank into deep thoughts about what he had seen:" Great things are about to come. War is coming to these lands again. The Black Spire's forces are on the rise. And the fate of the East, and maybe of all of Historica now depend on very few who are still bolt enough to challenge Lord Raavage. I must hurry. It seems that I have a part to play again in the greater story." "What are you talking about?? What did you do to my eyes? Just get out of my head!" "I feel somewhat guilty for your current condition, though I did warn you. Maybe I can effect some other magic to help you out? But hurry, I' am busy now. I have to care about greater things than an Innkeepers daily worries." "Leave, just leave for king's sake! Forget about the bill- just go! What insanity to open a tavern in the bloody Darklands! I'll go back to Albion!" Cedryc ripped of the door and stumbled inside. "You are right, my dear friend. There is no time to waste. I must go now. Hopefully it is't too late." So this is my first contributin for our collaboration about the Nocturnus resistance. I hope you will like Perry Ratchett, the purple wizard. He will have a lot of screen time in future stories. I'm not so happy with the pictures of the vision. Originally I had something more nebulous in mind, but I wanted to finally post the story. Enjoy!

    MOC: Rincewind & The Luggage

My latest Discworld MOC featuring two of the first characters on the series, coward wizard Rincewind and his magical chest monster The Luggage, both appearing in Color of Magic from 1983. Rincewind is based on Paul Kidby's impression. The Luggage's design was pretty universal; I'm especially happy how the teeth and the tongue turned out. More can be found on my blog. Enjoy.

    Medieval Village Corner

Hello Historic Themes community, this is my first MOC worth sharing. I started with a modified version of the Guarded Inn, then tried to decide why an Inn clearly built into a wall would need a guard post on its roof. My answer was to build it into a relatively unfortified corner of a town wall, thus necessitating the need for the elevated position. Next I wanted to experiment some with landscaping and build in the stream. Finally, I love the Mountain Hut, and even though its a modern set I thought it fit nicely. As you can see, this is a blend of official sets (including the tree from the MMV and the Guard "Shack" from Kingdom's Joust) and my own work. The goal was to slowly expand over time into a larger town, but this is isn't very stable and will need to be rebuilt from the ground up. I learned a good bit though, and while its on to another project for now, I'll revisit this idea again one day! Any feedback for a relatively new "MOCer" is appreciated! 18. Hi. This is the first time I've posted a MOC on Eurobricks, and I'm a bit nervous doing so given the high standard on here. But I've learnt a lot from seeing what the awesome builders on this forum create, so here goes. This is something I put together a few months ago. It started as an attempt to build an arched bridge with no arch pieces and grew from there. Hopefully whats happening is self explanatory from the title! ;-) Give Way to Wizards! I wanted to build something for the local Lego show as I've never built anything for it before so that will be another first for me. Thanks for looking. MOC: Rivergate

This is my second entry in this universe I have devised :D The Rivergate - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/98977 Phantasy Realms The set This set is composed of a fortress like sturcture built over a river. The gates open to let the boat cross but the gates can also close trapping the unaware travellers inside. Four trapdoors open to let the captives be taken or they can also work as traps if someone invades the fortress - making the figures fall into the river. The story In order to protect the entrance to their capital city - Rainbow's End - the Wizards of Colour with the help of dwarven engineers raised a mighty fortress over the Tears of the Peak River, the only way into the magical valley where fairies and wizards dwell, among many other fantastic creatures. The wizards bought a mighty power crystal from the dwarves and draw power from the magical stone in order to activate the fortress' magical defenses. A group of sentinels dares to approach the Rivergate. They bring bad tidings... but Wizards and Elves are very suspicious of each other since the Magik Wars - a very old and long conflict between each other. Will they be able to cross the rivergate or will they fall prey to the wizard's magical trap? P.S. - first entry in phantasy realms is here - https://ideas.lego.com/projects/97483 - if you want to check it out. Cheers

    Sorcerer's Solace

The crimson wizard retires to his dark tower in order to reflect, plan and gather his thoughts. No one enters the dark tower except the sorcerer himself. He has stricken every plant and tree on the surrounding grounds except the red anemone. He has caused this flower to flourish. No one knows how or why. Hope you enjoy and please feel free to comment and critique. Thanks! Visit my Brickshelf page for more pictures.
  21. Hi everybody. This is my entry to the MEC. I only had enough time to build in one category, so I choose B. After Sauron was defeated and the ruling ring has been destroyed, the age of men, an age of peace and harmony, began. Gandalf took a break from is great adventures and quests and now lives peacefully in a small cottage in the middle of the woods. Frodo, Bilbo and other friends continue to visit him, and when they do, they seat by the fire, talking about how they manage to get thru all the dangers and slippery roads. It’s a time of peace, it’s a time of friendship… The idea was to recreate a circular cottage with a roof in a shape of a wizard’s hat, taking some inspiration on the latest DC build, Caer Caradoc . The roof didn’t worked out as I wanted, mainly because of lack of time and specific parts, but I think the idea is there. I now this roof is not going to please to everybody, but hopefully the idea gets thru. :) Some photos. Hope you like it and CC is welcome! PS: Good luck to everyone!

    [MOC] Siege of the Citadel

The great siege has begun. Hordes crash upon the Citadel's mighty walls, its defenders holding invaders at bay. At first the fighting is even, the defenders even slaying one of the serpentine beasts sent forth and felling a siege tower that was brought upon. However as the days progress, battle wear is beginning to take its toll upon the Citadel's brave defenders. When does the Emperor and his allies come to aid? The gates won't hold much longer, making the tower and the keep the last stand for the defenders of the Citadel.....
  23. Hi everybody! This is my entry for the 4th task: Scholars: Observatory, Alchemist, Philosopher, Astrologer Grey Beard Wizard Cottage – a cozy cottage on the heart of the enchanted forest of Vanhorn. So, continuing my sigfig history, Adam and his apprentice went to Grey Beard’s cottage right on the heart of Vanhorn forest. Grey Beard is a mysterious wizard and alchemist, but also a good friend of Adam. He creates many potions and magic “stuff” and is a very wise man. And since Adam is on a new quest, soon departing to a distant land, he needs a few things from him. Sorry for the lack of a more elaborated story or dialogue, but English is not my prime language and, to be honest, I suck at creating story’s and dialogues! Here are some pics. It was a huge pain to photograph this MOC because of the size and the various textures and colors and, of course, my almost total lack of photographing skills! I never seem to get it right… Anyway, I hope you like it! It was inspired in some photos that I came across on the net! Some photos: I would like to claim credits for (Hope I did this right. If someone thinks that I missed something, please let me now J ): Architecture: Wall technics: off-set on tan walls) Advanced snot (rockwork on landscape – not sure if this qualifies although I used lot of SNOT technics) Landscape: Tree design Flowers and dense foliage

    [MOC] Wizard Fight

The battle between good and evil is being fought again! A peaceful wizard, minding his own business, is begin attacked by this... monster! A man full of evilness and jealousy... After the 'good' wizard slept with his wife, who was tired of her man constantly being busy with potions and magic, he wants to take revenge on him! Overall MOC MOC with blue sky background MOC in bird's eye view This is my first ''MOC'' uploaded to Eurobricks. I know it's nothing special but I just had to post this as it looks a fun build to me C&C is always welcome.
  25. Some people call Alvin a wizard. Some call him an alchemist. Some whisper about him being a magician or a warlock. Almost everyone agrees that he’s slightly insane. What Alvin considers himself to be is something much nobler, however. “A Man of Science” is his self-applied title: a great experimenter, a brilliant scholar, a modern incarnation of Plato, Socrates, Archimedes and all the rest. Although, in his day and age, a successful “scientist” is usually someone who’s either very lucky, or has experienced a lot of “trial and error”. Whatever he is, Alvin is certainly not a very safe person to be around. His wild experimenting can often be very dangerous for a casual bystander. After he almost burned an entire village to the ground, the king decided it would be safer for everybody if Alvin was kept somewhere a little more “secluded”. Naturally a dark, empty room in the basement of the royal castle would be the perfect place to hide away an annoying wizard; the thick stone walls and ceiling should be strong enough to protect the rest of the world from the wild antics of the mad pseudoscientist…right? ****** Alvin scuffled back and forth between shelves stocked with wizardish appliances, hastily gathering the necessary ingredients for his latest concoction. According to his precise calculations—and some wild guessing—Alvin determined that the elixir for eternal life was within his grasp! Hustling franticly about the room, the old wizard snatched up a few final items, and then hurried to the center of the room, where a large cauldron was brewing. Alvin added ingredients one at a time, lifting the lid carefully with each thing he slipped into the cauldron. The great pot sizzled and bubbled, and a pungently foul odor spread about the room. ****** Smiling as he greeted his dinner guests, the king gestured for all present to have a seat. The tall, ornate wooden chairs squeaked slightly as the lords and ladies dropped into them. The king explained that dinner was still being prepared, but that the guests should all have a drink; his best wine was being served. As the guests took up conversations with one another and lifted their goblets for a toast, a slight rumbling shook the room. ****** The lid on the cauldron was shaking wildly now as Alvin slipped the last item into the huge pot. He stepped back carefully, as a huge grin spread across his silly face. His thoughts racing, he imagined the great power he would have with this mighty elixir. Suddenly, a loud pop sounded from within the cauldron. Without warning, the heavy metal lid was blown violently into the air, knocking Alvin roughly backward and causing the pot’s contents to spill out over the side. The lid continued its upward course until reaching the brick ceiling, which it subsequently blasted through. ****** The king let a counterfeit smile spread across his features as he raised his glass for another toast. Seriously, he grumbled to himself, this is the most boring dinner party I’ve ever been at! He touched the goblet to his lips, but before he could swallow any of the wine he was suddenly hit with an enormous wave of intense heat! The goblet fell from his grasp when suddenly a heavy iron pot-lid exploded through the table in front of him. It was followed by a ball of flame and a long line of smoke, leading back through the floor into the chambers of…the king closed his eyes and fervently wished to be someplace else. ______________________________ Here’s my second and last entry to the CCCXI!
