  6. Hi, I want to show you the renders of my new creation inspired by the skyline series and some creations I found online. 7. Crash Bandicoot has been a videogame icon for over two decades. The orange marsupial jumped, smashed, and spun his way onto the Playstation when I was a kid, and I have loved the character ever since. I remember spending hours playing through all three original games, as well as getting friends together to play Crash Bash and Crash Team Racing. Crash features 27 points of articulation, including a swiveling waist, adjustable ears, and tweakable eyebrows. While Crash is very flexible, he is also quite sturdy. This is thanks to a carefuly selected choice of joint elemenents ranging from socket click hinges to large and small ball joints. The part count for Crash rings up at exactly 800 elements! Thank you for taking the time to check out my model! If you would like to see more photos, I have them up on my Flickr page. If you would like to see this potentially become an official LEGO Set, please support my project on LEGO Ideas.
  8. If there a Cinematic Universe based upon a particular franchise you'd like to see adapted, or aren't pleased with the direction it is currently going? Is there a book, graphic novel, or series of novels you'd love to see come to the big screen? Is there a movie you think deserves a new remake or reimagining? Is there a cinematic adaptation of a certain source material you think would perhaps instead be better suited for the small screen, as a TV show or Mini-Series? If you have any better ideas on how Hollywood can handle adapting some of your favorite books, movies, graphic novels, videogames, and more, these are only a few questions to help express your opinions on what you would do instead!
  9. As my entry for Lego Ideas contest is approved, so I can now post something also here. Description Volvo Hare 20XX FR - is bulldozer. 20XX stands for production year, FR - fusion reactor. Fusion reactor is most promising energy producing technology. This maachine has compact version. Main operation is autonomous (programmed for particular construction area). I still think, that in some situations direct guidence still will is needed, so there is openable cabin for those cases. Model is really playable: it "rolls" when pushed, it has tilting (adjustable angle) showel (lower knob at the back), it has risable showel (upper knob at the back), tracks are tensioned using small shock absorbers, openable cabin (by hand), to see inside, only two pins 32045 should be pulled out, and then it is possible to open body. All the functions are done by small actuators, which represents electrical actuators on real machine. Normal (automated) operation Manual operation (cabin open) Some internals And, of course

  12. Hi everyone, I recently built my first modular MOC and I'd like to present it here as well... With as many as 50000 residents on a footprint of just 126 x 213 meters, Hong Kong's Kowloon Walled City once was the most densely populated settlement in the world. While this model depicts only four of its levels, the actual building complex reached a height of up to 14 stories as new structures were frequently built on top of older ones. Streets were overbuilt, turning into corridors full of water pipes and exposed electrical wiring. The city housed numerous low-cost production facilities such as small workshops and food factories. Living space was scarce inside the labyrinth-like city, but residents could enjoy fresh air and sunlight on the rooftops. The complex of intertwined buildings was finally demolished in the early nineties, but its unique construction style and dense urban aesthetic have served as an inspiration for a number of fictional settings, possibly even for Lego's Ninjago City set with its stacked architecture. The model features advertising signs as well as a grocery store at the outer face of the city, a noodle factory, a metal workshop, one of the dark alleyways at ground level, a fish gutter's shop, a stairwell, two very cramped apartments, caged balconies, a weaving and sewing shop, a dentist's office, a light well obstructed by lattices and clothes, a cookshop, a dough sheet bakery, and rooftops packed with TV antennas. Details include a carrying pole, neon tubes, a noodle machine, a fan, food items, beds, a hearth, clothes lines, a loom, and a sewing machine. This has 2385 pieces, by the way. Well, I'm a big fan of the modulars Lego has released so far, but they all look colorful and clean and sort of European/American. I decided to submit this on Lego Ideas (there's also some pictures of the interior) because I'd love it if a more densely built, dark, "ugly" or even cyberpunk-y model were released for once (though of course Ninjago City already went in the right direction). What do you think?

  14. Hi everyone I have recently added my first project to Lego Ideas. I wondered can anyone offer me any advice on the best ways to promote my project? So far all I've done is created a topic about it on Eurobricks and shared some of the pictures in a few Flickr groups. Are there any other methods I could use to give my model some more exposure and gain more support? Are there any other Lego related sites that are good for showing MOC's or Lego Ideas projects? Also I don't use Facebook, Twitter or Instagram but do you think any of those would be worth a go? This is the first time I've used Lego Ideas so I'm learning as I go along. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

  16. Dear all I am new to Eurobricks but felt it would be a worthwhile experience to join up and share something with you. In essence, I am looking for some help and or advice. I have been a serious collector of LEGO for around 7 years and have manged to build up, in my most humble of opinions, a rather large collection. All of my items items are either Marvel, DC or Cuusoo/ Ideas with a very small amount of loose Star Wars minifigures, promotional LEGO giveaways etc. Every single set, polybag, book, DVD, comic etc has been purchased, bubble wrapped, boxed and stored safely. 99% of the collection is mint and sealed with a few exceptions which are near mint but still sealed. Not one item has been opened. It has been an obsession of mine for a while and the collection has been built up and cared for extremely well. However, space is now becoming a bit of an issue so I posed the question to myself, "What on earth am I going to do with all this LEGO?" In summary, I have 310 lots made up from sets, keyrings, books, dvds, polybags and specials. I have multiples of some sets. I have every single Cuusoo/ Ideas set every made, 116 DC Comics lots, 123 Marvel Comics lots and 35 Marvel/ DC keyrings. With Comic Con and USA exclusives aside, I have every single DC and Marvel set, polybag, magnet, book and keyring released since 2011. I honestly do not know what to do. Do I keep going knowing that Marvel and DC sets will continue to be released probably after I have gone, do I bite the bullet and sell them all or do I just stop buying and sit on them all for a few years? Any help or advice would be hugely appreciated. I have a detailed spreadsheet of the entire collection. If anyone would like to see it, please just ask. With thanks in advance

  20. Over the past several months, the LEGO Review Board has carefully reviewed 12 projects that reached 10,000 supporters between September 2016 and January 2017, our third review qualification period of 2016. Sanne, our Project Manager, shares the results from LEGOLAND in Billund: Ship In A Bottle, The Flagship Leviathan. A big congratulations to JakeSadovich77 on becoming the next official LEGO Ideas fan designer! As an avid LEGO builder, Jacob Sadovich was inspired to create his LEGO Ship in a Bottle, The Flaship Leviathan, following a real-life ship in a bottle that he had built just a few years ago. We’re really excited to be able to introduce Jacob's Ship in a Bottle, The Flashship Leviathan set for its unique approach to what official LEGO sets can look like. If you'd like to learn more about Jacob then make sure to check out his 10K Club Interview. Voltron - Defender of the Universe A big congratulations to len_d69 on becoming the next official LEGO Ideas fan designer! Leandro’s passion for Voltron started at a very young age when his parents bought him a Voltron toy. From that moment on Leandro was hooked. Building with LEGO bricks allowed Leandro to celebrate his passion for Voltron - Defender of the Universe even more. We’re really excited to be able to introduce Leandro’s Voltron - Defender of the Universe set. Leandro’s project sets itself apart for its creative way to build with LEGO bricks. If you'd like to learn more about Leandro then make sure to check out his 10K Club Interview. 21. Hi all, Here is my LEGO version of Buzz Lightyear. About a year ago I noticed there weren't too many large-scale, detailed versions of the figure online. So I started putting bricks together, the old-fashioned way, no LDD etc. I started from the feet and legs up, wanting to use the 8x4x6 cone halves as shins. (Now that they're available in white, thanks to the Saturn V). The 8x4x6 cone halves really set the scale, since they provided the best shape for the legs out of every solution that I tried. Creating the round shape of the chest took quite a lot of work, but I'm pretty happy about the way it looks now. Things worked pretty smoothly, all the way up until the head. Boy, it's mighty tricky to create a nice-looking face out of bricks in that scale. So, after some attempts I gave into the grand compromise - to sacrifice the proportions and use the smaller-scale head and helmet from the set 7592. Perhaps the lack of Buzz Lightyear builds is largely due to the difficulty of creating a nice face to scale. I still haven't given up on the brick-built head. Maybe. What are your thoughts on my effort? You can see more and better pictures on my LEGO Ideas entry. If you think my Buzz has something good goin' on, I would also appreciate your support on the entry :) https://ideas.lego.com/projects/a514663e-9d97-4421-a89e-70278749244f

    Galactus

I have wanted a Galactus figure for awhile now, who doesn't have "wish list". So, thought I would try my hand at making one. Thing and Human Torch are 2 of my favorites Marvel characters. My dad's was Silver Surfer. I have read alot of FF comics and personally, I wouldn't say the 2 movies were bad. But, they are far from what I think Marvel would have done with them. Also, if a FF3 movie was made, I feel, we would have got a proper Galactus. This is also, my first time editting a pics, so be gentle!! Like most of the things I do in LDD, I do plan on building this in real bricks, but, I seem to be building more and more in LDD and less and less in real bricks. Both time and money are factor! Also, Lego doesn't make alot of bricks in purple, so I may have to settle for replacing the purple on him with red. Not a huge trade off! I think he looks good. Here is a shot of the FF trying to talk Galactus into not eating earth! Maybe not the best setting for them, but, I liked the building in the background, it looks like the Baxter Building with the 4 on it. I also made 2 Fantasticar, one from the comics and one from the movies. Both can fit 4 figure, but, neither can fit a Thing Big Fig, if they make him like Hulk. I also, posted this to Lego Ideas, if you would like to vote on it. I'm sure it would need to be scaled down. As he sits, he has 2550 pieces in him. I don't think he is a big enough draw to warrent a set like this. FF isn't Batman, or the Avengers. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/88998 Thanks, Jamie
