  2. This is a theme inspired by LEGO's decision to create Stranger Things LEGO which is probably their most mature (age-wise) theme ever! This topic is for discussing what other more AFOL/adult oriented themes you wish/hope/want LEGO will make. We can also share any customs/MOCs based on more mature themes that we think would make great sets, like Game of Thrones or the Marvel Netflix shows. Or any TV and movies. This is more specifically geared toward ideas based on shows and movies that are rated TV-14/PG-13/15(UK)/R-Rated and above

    [MOC] Lego Seinfeld!

It's a set about nothing! I built this detailed recreation of Jerry's apartment in my spare time over the past couple of weeks. If you like it, I would be extremely grateful for any support of this set on Lego Ideas! [link removed]
  7. I wanted to reach out and ask people's opinion on the current format of the CMF Series. I also created this to discuss the series in a different way. I believed talking about the current rota in the other CMF threads would derail the threads. So, I must ask what is your opinion?
  8. "In brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might Beware my power Green Lantern's light!" After seeing the new lantern piece, I thought to myself "What's stopping me from putting different colours in the lantern?" Nothing is. Then that's where the lightbulb lit up like fireworks on 4th of July: Green Lantern's Lantern! I like the lantern from the 2015 set; the designers did very god work with the old lantern considering the scale and the pieces they had available back in 2015. However, with the addition of the new piece I feel it looks a better scale than 2015. Honest opinions are appreciated and welcome. Expect to see some more photos soon

    James Bond?

Greeting Comrades! So, I'm hearing a lot of stuff about a possible James Bond theme, seeming as he was going to be in Dimensions, but was never implemented as the game shut down. Now rumours of sets, at least one, are appearing? So is there anything definite about this? I've been dismissing it as all far-out speculation. Isn't the theme a bit too adult for LEGO sets, with all the death and that (Although the same could be said for any licensed theme, James Bond has quite gritty sections, like the torture in Casino Royale) So, does anyone have any more news for me to hear?
  10. Hi! My name is Rodrigo and I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I grew up watching the Back to the Future trilogy, and I believe it’s just a perfect set of films. The moment I heard there was going to be a LEGO set with the DeLorean featuring Marty and Doc, it was like a dream come true. It was a must buy, no questions asked. The minifigures were absolutely fantastic, even though the Cuusoo time machine wasn’t my favorite build. No windscreen? Why?? Nevermind. LEGO and BTTF together, can’t complain. A couple of years later, we got a couple of LEGO Dimensions sets. This time, very little to build, a new hair piece for Doc Brown (much more accurate btw), and a brand new hoverboard for Marty, which is fantastic. The thing is Marty and Doc had the same torso and legs design from the Cuusoo set . Couldn’t they try another designs? Never mind. Good to know LEGO still considers BTTF within their licenses and products. That’s great. A few weeks, LEGO announced that Marty and Doc will be in the new series of Brickheadz. Fantastic! Brand new line, seems to be doing great, good for Marty and Doc. The problem? Like Cuusoo and Dimensions, Marty is wearing the same shirt, the red vest, the clear jeans… And Doc with his all white nuclear radiaton suit. This is the moment when two of my biggest passions clash. Is it possible for LEGO to consider even making different minifig designs for Marty and Doc? I understand they won’t choose other characters, but Marty and Doc are constantly changing outfits during the trilogy… Is it too hard to design a Western Marty? Or a 1955 Doc Brown? Why does Ghostbusters get the Firehouse and BTTF can’t get the Clock Tower? Once the BTTF Hardcore fan shuts up, the LEGO AFOL comes around and says that this may be truth, but LEGO may not be that interested in investing time and resources in a franchise that doesn’t pay off as much as others. That maybe, I should be grateful that LEGO is still making BTTF sets. Sorry for the length, but I really wanted to share this slight disappointment regarding the way LEGO worked the BTTF license. It’s kind of a weird feeling, but I can’t help thinking how much good LEGO can do with so little, an do justice to a fantastic franchise such as Back to the Future.
  11. Hi there everyone! This is my first real MOC post that I've put a lot of work into so please be kind I decided to create what a potential second line up could look like for another Disney CMF Series. I have a rational for every character I chose and if you've got any questions feel free to ask me below or PM me. All of the figures and pictures can be on my flickr linked below, and if you want to swing by there and leave a favourite or follow me to see my further updates it'd be much appreciated A few things to note. First off the figures are all hand drawn and I am working towards creating a better way to merge the hand drawing and digital aspects of the figures. If you recall the packaging for the first CMF was Blue and the colour I have chosen here is Yellow this is of course to reflect how the first non-licensed CMF was Yellow and the second Blue (Bit of Irony I guess). I have also included characters I felt were left out or needed to complete the figures that came in the 1st wave. For example the inclusion of Woody, Lilo, and Goofy. I have also tried to keep about the same amount of villains as there were in the original and plan to do so in future ones as well (If you guys like them of course ). Oh one last thing to note I think is that this is almost identical to the wishlist I created over a year ago so if there is someone you'd like to see me do I'll try to squeeze them into a future line (Only if they fit my criteria though). Also forgot to say that @Robert8 and his creations was a huge inspiration to do this, so thanks! So with out further ado.... 13. A couple of days ago I noticed that all of the pictures of some Jurassic Park mocs that I had made about 5 years ago had been removed because of supposed copyright infringement and that the request had been made by Universal City Studios LLC. Haven't really been paying attention to the goings on in the Lego community for a while, in fact I haven't really even touched Lego in years. So I was wondering if these copyright related takedowns are a thing now? Do they even have grounds to make a copyright complaint? Is the takedown request even genuinely from Universal City Studios? I still see a lot of other Jurassic Park MOCs on the site. Has this happened to anyone else? Here's the notice. It was sent in February but the message went to flickr mail only instead of notifying me via the email address associated with the account so I only noticed it recently. I've included a couple of pictures of the images that were removed . I deleted the original images of the MOCs from my computer a while ago but some of them are still partially visible when searched for on google images, which is why the image quality is terrible.

Hi everyone Zach here, today I have some pictures of a MOC I've been working on for the last year or so. Thanks for taking a look any feedback and criticisms are welcome as I would love to here your opinions. Again Thanks so Much!! 16. Hi everybody! Similar to this thread, I have created a thread to post general LEGO Licensed Theme questions. Licensed themes include Ghostbusters, The Last Airbender, etc. Here the community can answer one another's questions.
  17. I'm as susceptible as anyone to "the cult of the new" when it comes to minifigures and bigfigs, prone to oohing and ahhing over LEGO's latest creations. But sometimes I don't get that feeling and find older versions better than newer ones. Here are some examples: This is my favourite Joker (though with the big smile on the double printed head, not the smirk pictured), not the forthcoming one. And here is the Hulk I like most, not this one that came out a year later. I like this Spider-Man more than this one despite it being 10 years older. The ghosts I prefer are this one followed by this one. The more recent CMF one is cool too and I have one in my display collection with a different head, but the ones with the white shrouds are top of my list of phantoms. I realise that these preferences are entirely subjective and that opinions will vary, but was wondering what older versions or minifigures, bigfigs and moulded creatures other FOLs prefer to newer versions. Are there any that have disappointed you or do you always like the latest ones most?
  18. Red Bull F1 RB12 from 2016 season. Speed Champions style. This is a beta version, stickers were created by me. More cars here http://bricksetforum...custom-stickers
  19. Hello I was wondering if we could have a Licensed subforum exclusive for posting MOC's I sometimes feel that there is a lot going on in the Licensed Forum, and having a Licensed MOC subforum could help. Similar to the Pirates forum and the Pirates MOCS subforum So, I bring this suggestion to the staff for your consideration
  20. I've had a bunch of licence-related MOCs on the go for ages, but this time last week, inspiration struck - and I've quickly pulled together this MOC of 'The Homer'. This is the car from The Simpsons episode Oh Brother Where Art Thou? where Homer designs a terrible, terrible car for his long-lost brother's car company. In the show, the results are disastrous... But for me, this has been a lot of fun. I built it across three evenings, and used the recent Hot Wheels version of The Homer (only £1.75 in supermarkets here in the UK!) for reference on the proportions. I avoided looking at the one or two other MOCs of this out there. DSC_0263 by MOChael, on Flickr That's the main image and the gallery has more shots, including some comparisons for size with Wetwired's excellent LEGO Ideas ECTO-1 from this summer. Most pleasing part of the build has been using part #12708 - this is one half of the Christmas Baubles you can by from LEGO S@H and the retail stores. I've wanted to use one in a build for ages (and have a bunch of ideas in my head but not had any time to implement them until now). Here, I think the contours inside the dome (which usually hold a dish when actually used as a christmas bauble) suit the windscreen really well. It's obviously an unorthodox piece, but I do consider it a true LEGO piece - the whole on the tab at the top of the dome is stud-sized! That's how I was able to make something with a Technic peg/pin that created a structure to hold the horn and also helped hold the dome in place. I build it with a bunch of PAB wall pieces - that lime green colour is rife at the moment, and spot on here - plus four Mixels packs and some of my spares.
  21. I was wondering whether Lego would ever reintroduced branded Technic Sets. And I'm not talking about Ferrari, Williams or Lamborghini. From memory I can only recall there being a few Technic star wars characters, but never any vehicles. So my questions to you guys are do you think we'll see it anytime soon, and if so what would you like to see? I'd personally like a Batman Tumbler and a BTTF DeLorean that lights up like a Christmas tree.
  22. Hello everyone! I don't post a whole lot on Eurobricks, but I made some custom minifigs after seeing Iron Man 3 last weekend that I felt like I should share. It was a great movie with some great characters, so here they are! I don't have a whole lot of flesh parts so I made them with yellow flesh, but I think they still turned out pretty good. I also tried to stat as purist as possible. Anyway, enjoy! Tony Stark - Tony Stark after he crash lands in a snowy town. Happy Hogan (1999) - Happy sports long hair and a goatee at the party in 1999. Happy Hogan -Happy's present-day appearance. (This fig could use some work... ) Harley - The science-loving, potato-gun wielding kid that Tony meets in the snowy town. The Mandarin - A terrorist who is more than what he appears to be... Aldrich Killian - A scientist behind Advanced Idea Mechanics and buyer of the Extremis virus... ...and he also subjects himself to it, enhancing his physical abilities immensely. - And here are the two minifigs side by side. - A duel between Stark and Killian. Eric Savin - The gum-chewing Extremis soldier who helps steals the Iron Patriot armor. Maya Hansen - An long forgotten love interest of Tony's. She's also the inventor of the Extremis virus. Pepper Potts - Tony Stark's girlfriend. - Killian offers Stark Industries a place in his company. An altenative suit concept I came up with: - Just made this to kind of make the Lego head seem less massive. Thanks for viewing!
  23. As originally published at Nom-mage Since I haven't been able to get the 30190, I'll review the minifig set of the Shell promo, the 30196 Ferrari Pit Crew. I must say, this promo set has the most value. Three minifigs for about 3 EUR at the most is a very, very good deal! The Polybag This set has 50 pieces, which is a lot considering this is a minifig set. Minifig parts Their accessories Instructions As expected from Lego Ferrari sets (and as seen in the minifig parts), this would require stickers on their torsos. Not using them would just make the minifigs "generic". Sticker sheet My favorite piece here would be this one. I forget what it's called (Erlenmeyer flask?) Reminds me of chemistry class Again, 3 EUR for 3 minifigs is a good deal. Of course you have to gas up at least 25 EUR of Shell fuel (Philippine mechanics) The minifigs Ferrari Race Mechanic with jack Ferrari Refuelling Engineer with refuelling machine Shell Track Scientist and her chemicals The refuelling machine was the most "complicated" build, but the chemicals were the most intriguing with all the transluscent pieces, and of course my favorite Erlenmeyer flask. After all was said and done, the set yielded 4 extra pieces. Seems like most Lego Ferrari sets that has minifigs would always include an extra visor. Extra pieces The whole gang Pinoy minifigs clowning around with the crew On to the ratings: Design: 4.5/5 - The race mechanic accessory was pretty straight forward, but the refueling equipment plus the chemicals had a great look in spite its size. Parts: 4/5 - lots of translucent round plates, perfect for Lego cars, plus that Erlenmeyer flask. They could've explored a different jack for the race mechanic though. And then there's the stickers :| Build: 3.5/5 - pretty straightforward. Nothing special. Stickers were a pain as usual. Playability: 4/5 - can be easily added to any Lego town or Lego Ferrari set. Price: 5/5 - can't say it enough. 3 minifigs for less than 3 EUR is a steal! Overall: 4.2/5 They say you gotta have an oil change for a chance to get this set. Then again, I got this set with a normal fill-up. Try asking your local Shell station, you might be lucky like me!
  24. It's my first review here so please bear with me. Long time lurker, big Lego Ferrari fan. Today I'm gonna review one of the Shell Promotional sets, 30195 (FXX) The set comes with 56 pcs. (including the pull-back chassis of course), an instruction leaflet, and a sticker sheet. Pretty straightforward. The only piece that intrigued me was the nose/hood of the car. It's similar to the nose of 30190, only difference is it's black. As with the other Shell Promo sets, it's pretty much a 5-minute build. I ended up with 4 extra pcs after building, although that 2x3 light grey pc seems pretty big for an extra pc. Without stickers, it's pretty plain and nothing like the original FXX So yeah, stickers are a MUST in this set, unlike the 30192 and 30194 which have printed bricks (not sure about 30195 since I don't have one yet) What's that in the background? Why, it's his big brother 8156 of course! Design: 4/5 - pretty much at par with the details considering its size. Stickers suck though. Parts: 3/5 - nothing special here, and the unique brick doesn't seem really useful outside of Tiny Turbos. Build: 3/5 - solid build from the door to the front. can't say the same about the spoiler, which detaches with relative ease. Playability: 4/5 - pull-back motor makes it highly playable, but the sturdiness (or lack thereof) of the spoiler could be a concern Price: 3.5/5 - considering how one could get these plus the fact that its details are mostly stickered, it's one of the promo sets which has less bang for the buck Overall: 3.5/5 Cheers Eurobricks! hope you enjoyed my first review here ever. :)
