  1. Hello everybody After seeing that fantastic Iron Builder MOC from Legopard ( https://www.flickr.c.../in/dateposted/ ), I decided to make something similar. Due to the fact I love playing Tabletop Football, I tried to make an Lego Lord of the Rings themed version. Lord of the Rings Tabletop Football by Balbo ., auf Flickr It works quite ok (so it´s possible to play with it), but the bar construction with the 1x1 bricks and the Lego 4L bars (they are inside the 1x1 bricks) isn´t perfect, especially when playing a real game because sometimes the bar construction can break. But I´m planing on updating the MOC with a new and more stable construction for the bars in the future Thanks for watching
  2. I made a simple camera dolly out of Technic to film a MOC. It has a turntable for compound panning shots. The point and shoot camera is held in place by Technic shock absorbers and rubber double axle flexible connectors. It can be MOD to hold a cell phone too. Simple Camera Dolly v2.0 by dr_spock_888, on Flickr I did a test run on carpet. As you can see, I didn't contract a professional dolly grip to operate it. Hopefully, the union won't get too upset with me.
  3. I have added my personal touch to the 31035 (Beach Hut) set and I added the blue hut using the pieces of the 40154 (pencil pot)
  4. And... done. Finally finished the hospital and that is all I will upgrade for now, next step is the interiors and modding the green grocer to be playable from the back... which I will leave myself some time for. So for those that came late here is a link to the police station: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=122523 And fire station http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=122627 So one more time... here was the problem: Which is the odd one out? :) So here was the plan: And here the results another: And one more: And now from the back... here I have to say I did nothing with the interior yet, almost totally out of usable bricks at this stage... something for my next project... also you will note I stuffed up my colour order of the floor tiles... such is life, something for next time. So now that I am done, what do they all look like together? And another: And one from a lower perspective: And there you go... that will be it for a while as I do some other things but it was a lot of fun and I think the results are respectable. Got to love lego. Biz

  7. Hello All, And here is the second upgrade to my town set, the fire station. Police station can be found here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=122523 So, once again the problem: (town sets don't really match the look of the new modular buildings) The plan! And the results: again from front From the back (this one I spent a bit more time on the interior as the fire station is the favorite of my son. And finally a zoom in on the living quarters: So there you go, one more left. Anyone else undertaking similar upgrades to their town sets?
  8. Hello fellow fans. This is my final update to my ninjago layout. Instead of uploading picture I want to rather share the blog post I wrote on it as I also have my opinions on there. Here is a link http://legovincent.blogspot.de/2016/03/lego-ninjago-layout-final-update-for-now.html Comments mean a lot, positive or negative though please keep them civil :) I know you can see my amateur attempts MOC attempt but I did try my best with my current resources and bricks. I am a creative person yet MOC is something I rarely tried recently. Not because I love it old school after instructions, but because time and motivation are a factor I have no masterpiece here and when I look at what other people, even younger people come up with I get blown away. But lego is lego and the community has always been nice, so I hope that some people find what I did interesting. Finally, thank you to the people who have commented on my previous posts and gave me tips, I took them into consideration and tried my best. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I will see you around :) Vincent.
  9. Hello All, So I have gotten back into Lego thanks to the gorgeous modular buildings and have found an issue regarding my older town sets not exactly..., fitting in? So I thought... time for an upgrade. So here we see the issue at hand: Not very consistent for my tastes at least. So here was the plan: And here are the results: Another: Another: And one from the back... now I still have to do the interior and I like the back-open style play so kept that (I will mod my modulars to be back-open play as well) Also need to reinforce one of the floor elements... but the idea is there. Well there you go.
  10. Hi all, I wanted to present this MOC that I built originally for the Evolved contest on FBTB but due to various circumstances, I could not complete it on time. Anyway, I thought it was a brilliant contest idea and therefore I decided to complete my MOC eventually. The most important aspect of a MOC contest is not winning. It is not even participating, but it is definitively building one's own creations. :D Therefore, please let me present you my Sheathipede-class transport shuttle Evolved. Thirty years after the fall of Palpatine, the First Order is running at full speed its rearmament program. In order to be able to quickly ship troops to all corners of the known and unknown galaxy, the First Order looks toward reliable, effective, multi-purpose transport ships providing a flexible and large freight capacity. Some of the First Orders engineers decided to base their design on an old separatist shuttle dating from the Clone Wars: the Sheathipede. And they made it evolve... Sheathipede-class transport shuttle Evolved by Veynom, on Flickr I am currently also building several cargo modules that will fit inside and maximise both the playability and flexibility of this ship. Comments are welcome.
  11. Inspired by the classic 300SL. I started by developing a custom framework with 2 l-motors for drive and a narrower chassis with a nimble turning radius. All of the classic features were motorized with the Lego power functions. Gull-Wing Doors: Front end with Benz logo: Frame: Video: Once the whole car was built, it turns out the gearing was incorrect and because of the weight, the vehicle wouldn't drive. So I had to tear down the car to the main frame work and rebuild. Now the gearing is reliable and more support was added to the back end.
  12. I can finally disassemble this , my first "complex" MOC with instructions. At first I thought to do a specific dumper, a white liebherr, but at the end I did a generic truck because I didn´t want uncommon pieces and I wanted to use less room as I can. Everything is in the vid, is a simple MOC, very tight but simple I think. You can see the construction post here - http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=112319&st=0 . I hope you like it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e3BMUcXSgqU&feature=youtu.be '>http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otIHXDS_dS0&feature=youtu.be

  14. I made a MOW rail grinding LEGO CITY styled truck. It has one Power Functions M-motor driving the "grinding" wheel in the trailer. The trailer also has a foam sponge to clean the tracks. Rail Grinder Truck and Track Cleaner by dr_spock_888, on Flickr
  15. Hi All, This is a small build I did for a LUG build competition. The competition was to do a 16x16 build with crossed themes. This is the first build I've done using the Elves figs (I've got some sets for the parts). Thanks

    WWII MOC M3 Half-track

The M3 Half-track, known officially as the Carrier, Personnel Half-track M3, was an American armored personnel carrier widely used by the Allies during World War II. Since this is a personnel carrier, there's room for more minifigs. Next to the driver, there's seating for the soldiers in the back. Three soldiers in the back have more than enough room. Considering the monochrome structure of the Carrier, the backpacks and the soldiers' uniforms provide some colour distraction. The soldiers mount the Carrier through the back door, which can be opened and closed in this LEGO model.
  21. Another MOC built with my bro :) I had some difficulty in creating a working scissor door for my car and wanted to share the design. With this design it seems you could motorize the doors as well. custom scissor doors! ;)
  22. So, for a long time, there had been discussion about making a dragon for Macy here on the Eurobricks forums. I decided to see what I could do. Once I had figured out how to make the mace tail, it started to progress rather quickly, with the head and the main body being finished at the same time, after which it stalled while I tried to figure out the wings. Finally, though, it's done. This beast has 1400+ pieces, and is fully buildable. I expect the real life version to be done sometime in the summer. So here it is, Sir Chompsalot: Side view and size comparison: As you can see here, the legs have a great range of motion (using an internal gearing mechanism for friction), and the tail can be swung using the gear on the back. The little chest holds ammo for the two turrets. The mace tail tip is built around a LEGO Games die piece. The wing-rotors are built in more or less the same manner as the wheels of Jestro's Evil Mobile, and have a good range of motion. Two little blasters on the sides provide covering fire, and aerial assaults are handled by the dual six-stud shooters, which are mounted on turntables on castle turret pieces and can be manned by squirebots. As you can see here, Macy can sit either in the cockpit or stand on the dragon's head. Either place has storage for her mace and shield. Both the upper and the lower jaws of the dragon can move, and in general are supposed to resemble some kind of trash compactor. The forehead can hold a nexo power and the throat has a space to attach 2x2 round bricks for a flame/heat ray effect. The eyes are supposed to resemble giant versions of those the squirebots have. Back view Gallery LXF File (once public) Comments and criticism appreciated!
  23. Hey everyone Decided to build a section of a library for GOH. The first floor has some bookshelves, desk and a statue. Second floor is more of a "cat-walk", which displays shields, weapons and the colors of Avalonia. As always, both positive and negative criticism is welcome. Thanks all for reading/viewing. ~Pat

    Durathror´s Hall

Hello everbody Today I finished building my latest MOC for the "Die Neun Reiche" (9 Kingdoms) RPG on the german LUG ImperiumderSteine.de. Durathror´s Hall (Die Neun Reiche) by Balbo ., auf Flickr The building is a memorial to Durathror, who was a famous leader from the "Brandküste". "Brandküste" is the name of Simon_Schweyers ( www.flickr.com/photos/buurli_burri/ ) and my kingdom in the RPG. My main aim was to make a building, which is similar to a Stave Church from the Vikings. Credits to Markus1984 for the design of the vegetation ( www.flickr.com/photos/71475401@N07/10596439765/in/photost... ). The crosses are a bit inspired by Vitreolum (www.flickr.com/photos/vitreolum/20577951080/in/photolist-... ) Thanks for watching
