  4. [MOC] XTS-620

Receiving transmission: "Commandant. We have recovered the secret data from the archive. The data was highly encrypted but after our best hacker decrypted it, we found out that it had highly sophisticated mech frame plans. We carried out the XTS-620 experimental mech frame to the test range and it pretty much passed all the test in record timing. This is one of the most destructive mech we have ever built. We call it "Twins". This "Twins" mech is piloted by two pilots working in perfect harmony with eachother. The left side is mounted with a highly destructive gauss ion cannon. It has enough power to pierce our experimental "Cocoon" armor. The weapon is still not fully tested so do not go over 70% power or you risk destroying the arm completely. On the left side, we have a high pressurized pyromite launcher that has 3 times the range of our standard pyromite launchers. Also for melee combat, the left arm is mounted with a large plasmite claw. There is enough power to crush a class 5 titan head like an egg. The legs are equipped with experimental dampening systems that allow the mech to jump down without any damage to the actuators. This mech requires highly trained pilots that can sync up in perfect harmony. We have sent you this experimental mech for a field test on real action. Be cautious." -Mech build lab
  5. [MOC] XT-G20

Receiving transmission: "Commandant. We have a solution to the invasion from the coast side. We would like you to try our latest weapon: the XT-G20. This combat walker is equipped with heavy lasers that will destroy the flying enemies with pinpoint accuracy. The lasers need a short time to ramp up but after charged, they can shoot down fliers from long distances. To keep swarming enemies on their toes, we added 8 long range missile pods to the shoulders that have flak tips. If however an enemy or two gets to land, we gave the XT-G20 arms that can punch or grasp into things. The XT-G20 is a heavy class mech with medium armor and it's only weakness is attacks from behind. It's however exceptional at long range anti air combat. Use your radar and locate the enemy fliers before they get too close. We have sent you 5 XT-G20's to help you in your next mission." -Mech build lab "Alright, let's see what this mech is made of. There is a large swarm headed our way." -Commandant
  6. [MOC] SW-K10 "Sasquatch"

Receiving transmission: "Commandant. We have designed a new weapon for your command. May we introduce to you, the SW-K10. We nicknamed him.. "The Sasquatch". This combat walker is equipped with corrosive pyromite flamethrowers that will melt the armor from the outside and cook everything in the inside. This pyromite chemical will stick to any surface and continue to burn up to 5 hours on it's own. For ranged combat, we added some explosive tip medium range missiles to help you get closer to the enemies. We do not recommend to get up close and personal but as a last case scenario, we added some plasmite claws that heat up and help you claw trough heavier armor like it's paper. The SW-K10 is a medium class mech with high armor so it's only weakness is the slow movement speed. But the armor should make you durable enough to withstand long ranged weaponry for a short duration. Use terrain as your advantage and get to medium or short range to wreak havoc to the enemies. We have sent you 10 SW-K10's to aid you in your next mission." -Mech build lab "Ten SW-K10's deployed. Let's turn up the heat and roast some aliens." -Commandant

  9. http://faberfiles.bl...scontinued.html A few days ago Faber posted a concept poster of Hero Factory during it's early stages of development. The description was later removed as Faber felt it was too emotional and that the development work should remain secret. However, thanks to a 4chan anon and a few board users, we have the full confirmed description which sheds some light on the IFB ending and the original concept of HF. "The last HF episode "Invasion from below" became the most watched piece of content on LEGO's website the year it came out. At the same time it marked the end of the short life of Hero Factory. It was criticised for a lot of different reasons but here are a few personal views on this battered factory." "Invasion from Below" was made on a very low budget by Advance and Ghost who made all the original Bionicle animations. The episode was a struggle because the storyline got changed dramatically during production. It was definitely ment to be continued because (of cause) the Queen wasn't gone and the case wasn't closed for HF. The voice actor changes was done for budget reasons because we didn't have budget for the the original voice actors." "Having worked on both Bionicle and HF from the very beginning I can tell you that the work that went into creating the HF universe was much more deep than the early foundation of Bionicle. We wanted to use all we had learned from Bionicle but make something that was really different from Bionicle yet as epic and big and therefore we created what we called a "realtime IP" meaning that this was not a legend, it was actually happening now somewhere in another galaxy. We wanted to mirror present day but in a tech build-up. In some way inspired by the humor of The Incredibles by Pixar." "The backstory of HF is extremely deep and epic and hold secrets that were never used. They are still in the huge concept bible that I keep. I hope to get to show them and do a extensive blogpost about HF and it's creation on this blog when the time is right. A last note is that Hero Factory was only meant as a location springboard into this vast story universe and the story was meant to get much more personal when the real truth about the factory was discovered. The idea of a factory that builds cocky heros made to specifications was actually a provocation to the whole legendary hero story we had told in Bionicle. The real hero would be found somewhere else...:) to be continued..." Here's the poster depicting a rather superhero-esque robot. Personally it gives me a Rachet and Clank vibe for some reason. Like a lot of other fans I viewed Hero Factory as a mountain of unused potential, and after reading what it *really* could have been those feelings have been amplified by 11. A story and universe that could have been even stronger than Bionicle combined with incredible creative freedom just really hurts as a lost opportunity. I have to wonder if a similar situation happened with Bionicle G2. Discuss what you think on what HF almost was.

  11. MOCformers!

Hello all, just thought I'd share some of my Transformers characters built using primarily Bionicle, Technic, and CCBS pieces. Each of my Transformers follows what I would call the typical "rules" of a transformers toy, being that they can each transform completely without removing any pieces - except for weapons. I have many of these already built, but I have yet to take good photos of them. In the meanwhile, here are pictures of two of my favorites, Crimson Claw and Downforce Crimson Claw: A fierce hunter and always loyal to his fellow Autobots and Maximals, Crimson Claw is a natural leader and warrior. He uses his energon saber to slice through enemy Decepticons and Predacons with ease as he calls out commands to his allies. In his Lion-Mode, he can deploy two wing-blades from his thighs to further slash his opponents as he runs through battle. More photos in spoiler below: Downforce: The fastest bot around, Downforce uses his immense speed to scout ahead and inform his fellow Autobots of any Decepticon activity surrounding them. Armed with a wide array of weapons in Robot-Mode, Downforce is equipped for most any situation, should he be intercepted alone while on a scouting mission. His chainsword can rip through heavy armor, while his giant boomerang-shield can be effective at short or long ranges. His dual pistols are there just in case he needs to hold out behind cover or provide supporting fire for his teammates. In his Racecar-Mode, Downforce can achieve speeds greater than mach-3. When traveling this quickly, his tires actually lift off the ground and he hovers, using his massive rear-spoiler to stop him from completely taking off. More photos in spoiler below: I also have a detailed video overview of Downforce here on my Youtube Channel I encourage everyone to check out the other two videos I've posted. They go over two of my other Transformers that I have not taken pictures of yet. I hope everyone enjoys these "MOCformers" of mine. As always, I welcome constructive criticism and feedback. Please consider, though, that these are built mostly out of the pieces I had as a kid and any others I've acquired through my adulthood. I do not, unfortunately, have the budget to custom order every piece I need off of Bricklink and as such, I may not always have the best pieces to accomplish a job, etc. If any of you have ideas for cool future MOCformers builds, please feel free to share! I am always looking for inspiration for the next build. (Also, I hope it's glaringly obvious that CrimsonClaw's lion mode was heavily inspired by Liger Zero from the Zoids cartoon.)
  12. I may be getting the Drop Ship from 2010 but I don't know how compatible with later CCBS hero pilots it really is. Does anyone have a picture of a 2.0 or 3.0 Hero (preferably one with the standard 2011 body configuration and two hands like Surge 2.0) posed as comfortably as possible inside the cockpit? I'd really appreciate it, since I wasn't able to find such pictures.
  13. So I just built the XL machine today and there's something really wrong with it that I hadn't noticed in any reviews or pictures. The two 4M gunmetal armor pieces beneath the cockpit cannot be put on the set in the suggested way like in the instructions. When I do so, it forces a ton of stress on the gunmetal add-on pieces on the 5M yellow armor pieces on the shoulders, which in turn stress the horizontal grey technic beam inside of the model. The shoulder armor curves upwards and the grey beam curves to the rear, as seen from above. Also, said gunmetal shoulder add-ons are interfering a little bit with the green cockpit seat piece. This is made slightly worse when the 4M pieces beneath are angled in the suggested flat V-shape. Does anyone else have this problem? At the moment I just move the armor pieces in a more traditional V-shape, with both middle ends of the pieces not touching each other beneath the cockpit. It doesn't look as good, but it doesn't put any additional stress on the already jumbled shoulder and cockpit construction.

  16. MOC: Hero Factory Breez

I think Hero Factory reached its peak in 2012 with "Breakout". We got some of the coolest and most cohesive designs for heroes and villains. It seemed like TLG went all out on the weapons, gadgets, and armor. I wanted to stick to that style when creating a Breez better suited for street-level bagging and tagging. Rocka was a big influence for her gear. I've also been trying to get more accurate proportions with good articulation. Most of Breez's ball joints work well, but I need to fix some areas. You can find more (and higher quality) pictures here: https://www.flickr.c...th/25889770395/ Thanks for looking!

  21. Hello and welcome to my first Review on Eurobricks! I got this Bootleg Version of Breez from my Mom who was in Thailand 2 weeks prior. Since there are hardly any Reviews about Bootleg Figures, I thought it was a good idea to make a Review out of this obscure find. Since I don't have anything like a light box, I "crafted" one myself with a chair and 2 sheets of paper,so I apologize for this low-bugdet decision, I hope you can still see everything clear and sharp. So is this a good copy or does it belong in the trash? Let's get started! Box: Front: Bootleg 2 by Dosenbrot!, auf Flickr The Front of the box, the figure came already assembled. There's also the instruction manual printed on the backside of the cardboard. Back: Bootleg 1 by Dosenbrot!, auf Flickr Here we have the Earth Tutelary, War for the invader from Space. Gotta love the broken English these Knock-offs have. Interesting Parts: Special Parts: Bootleg 3 by Dosenbrot!, auf Flickr Here are the most interesting parts of the set. The Torso bone has an axle connection right under the upper ball joint, which would be really useful for MOCs. You cant really see it here so I made a second picture of it. The Silver Leg shell just states "Hero" on it. The Torso shell has a very cool texture on it which gives it some extra detail. Instead of the 2.0 Head, there are using a red Glatorian Head, also the Headgear has an Axle Connector. Torso-Bone: Bootleg 4 by Dosenbrot!, auf Flickr The Torso bone again, now you can clearly see the axle connection port. In my opinion the most useful part of this whole figure. Color-Comparison: Bootleg 5 by Dosenbrot!, auf Flickr On the left side we have the Bootleg parts. The Colors are pretty spot on, but you can clearly see the difference between them, especially on the silver headgear. But the brick quality isn't that bad actually, its quite good for a Bootleg. The Figure: Front: Bootleg 6 by Dosenbrot!, auf Flickr Breez from the front. Yes, she has blue spikes instead of red ones. I dont know how you can mess this up but they did. Edit: Thanks to Kalhiki I just saw that she also has the 1.0 Core instead of the 2.0 one! Back: Bootleg 7 by Dosenbrot!, auf Flickr The Back. Nothing special to see here. Posing: Pose 1: Bootleg 8 by Dosenbrot!, auf Flickr While it has a more cheaper plastic than the official LEGO, it kinda has a good quality. Bricks have enough friction for more comlicated Poses and they dont fell like they will break off that easy. Pose 2: Bootleg 9 by Dosenbrot!, auf Flickr This also works, thanks to the hand having enough friction to hold the whole figure. Final Verdict: Bootleg 10 by Dosenbrot!, auf Flickr A final picture. Verdict: You know, for a "cheap knock-off" the quality off the bricks is pretty good, especially since you need it for Action Figures so they don't break too fast. It also has some nice Parts, especially the Torso. But would I combine this one with my real LEGO? Probably not. So all in all, a pretty solid set. I hope you enjoyed my Review, leave me a comment down below and thanks for Reading! Cheers!
  22. I've always had trouble gauging how my MOCs look to those with a different sense of aesthetics. Since I feel that this may be a common problem, I'd like to start up a program where, if one person wants to get feedback on their MOCs before they "officially" release them, they can say so here. Meanwhile, if you are willing to give constructive and precise criticism and advice, you can volunteer to do so here as well. To prevent chaos, I would then help match up the people who have asked for help with those that have volunteered to do so, resulting in every MOCcer getting one person as their test audience. What do you think?
  23. MOC: Reegu the Needle

They're not alone on Okoto. Much like the Dark Hunters in G1 a silent association operates beneath the surface of the mythical island, people we don't know the names as of yet. But we know some of the members, and Reegu is one of those. Part of a species living on a faraway island, its kind is well known for their long and weird arms and legs and their stealth abilities, along with their shield-shaped heads. Reegu is not that well equipped, but what it lacks in the firepower department is easily compensated by its outstanding mastery of... the way of the ninja. This is my first MOC ever, can't believe I waited so many years to build one. Is that really crappy? I tried to pay attention to particulars like colour scheme and playability (to hell the yellow feet, I had no better alternative). I'd love suggestions and feedback. Thank you very much for reading and viewing! http://i.imgur.com/7i7jMER.jpg Gallery (literally two images): http://imgur.com/a/ZdhRE
  24. Well, I'm not sure if we have one of these already, but if it does exist, then it's so old that using it would be necroposting. So, what are everybody's favourite and least-favourite masks? In Bionicle, Hero Factory, and anything else? For me, I might as well divide it up a bit. Bionicle Best: The Ignika Worst: Basically any Glatorian helmet that exposed most of the figure's face. Let's be honest, the Glatorian heads weren't great as faces, being all-trans and looking a lot like a certain Marvel Hero, weren't something you wanted to keep on-show. Hero Factory Best: Any of the 1.0/Breakout helmets. They all looked functional, they had their own identity, and they fit their characters. Worst: Brain Attack Bulk. I mean seriously.
  25. Hi, today I will make a review of a bootleg Hero Factory I buy at Thailand four months ago. The culture of bootlegging offical Lego sets are already been popular at Asia here since from 10-15 years ago. Some of members here say that the bootlegs are not as good as the offical sets, but some members say that bootlegs set can be as good as offical sets. So, is this set I brought can able to fight the quality of offical lego sets, or been terrible enough to put in the dustbin? Check this review and find the answer! The Packaging/ Instruction Bootleg Stormer 2.0 Review by Armstrong X-Wing, on Flickr The set itself is packaged similar to most of the Deluxe Class Transformers toys produced by Hasbro. I already throwed the plastic cover, so here we have the cardboard that complet the packaging of the set itself. As seen in this picture, the instruction is already printed on the cardboard. Honestly, the instruction on the cardboard is poorly maked and the steps are very confusing. So about the build, I will build the set using the parts available. Bootleg Stormer 2.0 Review by Armstrong X-Wing, on Flickr At the back here, you can see a simple ilustration of the whole collection of this line that also featuring a bootleg Surge 2.0, Evo 2.0, Breez 2.0, Furno 2.0, Stormer 2.0, and Nex 2.0 with the wrong colour scheme. The CGI effect is very poor, make the offical one looks like a masterpiece. The Parts Bootleg Stormer 2.0 Review by Armstrong X-Wing, on Flickr In this set, the figure is already builded and packaged in the packaging, but here's the parts that available in this set. Almost every parts at here are the same design with the real counterpart, so nothing special here. The parts also compatible with the offical Hero Factory sets, but the quality is not. Althrough the parts in this set didn't fall off when the set itself is complete, but the balljoints are very loose and has barely any friction. Bootleg Stormer 2.0 Review by Armstrong X-Wing, on Flickr Different from their real counterpart, the 2.0 upper helmet and the 2.0 middle helmet part can be connected to a Glatorian head via a axle. Bootleg Stormer 2.0 Review by Armstrong X-Wing, on Flickr Here's a picture of how the middle helmet part connected to the upper 2.0 helmet part. Bootleg Stormer 2.0 Review by Armstrong X-Wing, on Flickr However, this connection also cause a new problem. When the 2.0 helmet connected to the Glatorian head, the design of the Glatorian head stops the 2.0 helmet part from able to been push deeper and cause the eye of the Glatorian head appear below the eye hole of the 2.0 helmet. The Build As I say before, the instruction is very confusing and poorly maked. So, I will build this set according to the instruction of 2067 Evo 2.0. Here we start the build! Bootleg Stormer 2.0 here also suffer for a hollow back syndrome, similar to the real Stormer 2.0 and the hollow back is also easy to spot because of the colour of the body armor. Bootleg Stormer 2.0 Review by Armstrong X-Wing, on Flickr Final Comment Overall, this set is not a very good set. Sure this set has a bunch of recolours, but the quality of the parts and the posability of this set really cause this set receive a not so good rating from me. Sure you can get this set at Thailand, but seriously I don't recommend it.
