    Duoso

Due to the suggested image size limitation, the images will be redirected to a gallery.
  2. A wandering Toa, haunted by the deaths of his fallen comrades... more photos A MOC that I've had sitting around for about a year now. I didn't put it up since I have much much better MOCs sitting around. I figured if I didn't post it now then I'd never get around to it. Its veeeeeeeeery MOCpages but that's the style I was doing when I built it so whatever lol.

    [MOC] The Necromancer

Though he may appear gentlemanly, the necromancer always has a trick up his sleeve... Flickr post More photos Originally built for the Knight's Kingdom open collab on Flickr. When I realized I no longer had my Vladek head, he was transformed into what you see now. Heavily inspired by Patrick Bigg's Nuju.

    [MOC] Lucas

A small and kind robot who's always happy to lend a helping hand... If he could just get over his crippling anxiety. More photos A little robot I've had sitting around for a while. nothing super special but he is kinda cute.

    [MOC] Pinhead and Armstrong

Pinhead, the brains of the group, cares little for his simpleminded partner Armstrong's constant rambling about rabbits... More photos Two MOCs who weren't originally meant for each other. Armstrong was originally meant for a group build and Pinhead was originally named Plague Mech: Fire Ant.

    [MOC] Leroy

A small but hardworking toxic waste disposal droid. When he discovers life growing in the most unusual of places, he vows to protect it. Imgur album Leroy was an unusual build as he began as something a bit more sinister. Original I wanted to make an evil brain in a jar, but it wasn't turning out like I hoped. When I noticed that the round shape of his body gave him a softer, gentler look, I decided to give him a little flowerpot to really push it.

    Bohrok done right.

Here are few pics i took of a bohrok moc i did. It doesn't curve up to a ball though. But the cool hunched look of the bohrok i was after was pretty good. Here's some pics. I added an upgrade blaster to the right arm as an higher ranking bohrok. (i don't really read lore or follow it so i don't care.) Honest thoughts?
  8. Hello everyone ! Some months ago, I designed several custom parts that could be parts of the current CCBS. Earlier this week, I finally decided to order them. And they arrived today. So, ladies and gentlemen, I'm proud to show you the first Hero Factory custom parts ! First of all, here's a render of my parts altogether : And here are the parts I received this morning : I ordered them on Shapeways, I chose Frosted Ultra Detail. And the final result is very clean, it almost looks like real Lego parts ! Unfortunately, this material is very fragile, so I won't use them in MOCs, at the moment they are only prototypes, but I hope I will be able to produce those parts in wider quantities within the next twelve months. Here's a "comparison" with the official "equivalent" parts from Lego : And here's an example of what can be done with such parts : I could build more, but sincerely, I'm afraid to break my parts if I stress them too much. But anyways, this first try is quite concluding, and I hope I will very soon be able to make more of these. If you want to see more pictures, check the Brickshelf gallery (not public yet). P.S. : Plus, they smell good. I'm not good at recognizing odors, but I would say it smells like teen spirit almond.
  9. Hi ! I've built a half-man half-mosquito half-alien MOC this week, called Aristote Paxeros : He's an alien gastronome who travels the universe to taste the blood of different species. Of course, he's civilized, so he collects his food with a special syringe. The vials allow him to store up to two separate meals : When he arrived on Earth, he became friends with Diogenes Trexler, the most powerful wizard in the world.
  10. The smallest of Team Artillerix, designed for reconnaissance missions. The horn packs a powerful punch, and can easily flip mechs much larger than itself. Imgur Album Built as part of Jayfa's plague mech contest on Instagram. It's not a very impressive MOC, but It was fun to build. I took inspiration from the Japanese Rhinoceros beetle (and more than a little inspiration from the Pokemon Heracross).
  11. Why aren't there any any moc ideas posted? You have to search google very thoroughly in order to find stuff like this: I'd love to see peoples takes on how to build custom torsos or how to build custom limbs.. Or just outright clever ideas.. I'm currently stuck trying to figure out how to widen up a torso from the waist up in order to make a WH40K styled dreadnought torso.. If any of you have clever ideas you'd like to share, please post them below. Tips, ideas or frames like in the image is very helpful for newbie moccers.

    [MOC] Zeren

Armed with a sawed-off shotgun and a powerful sniper rifle, this intergalactic bounty hunter is prepared for any threat. Imgur album A MOC I've had since early 2010, finally looking like he belongs in 2018. I really doubled down on the sci-fi soldier influences for this new version, pulling from Samus, Doomguy, Master Chief, and the Titan Spectre armor from Destiny. Special thanks to L.A. Miranda, Constraction Deva, and Djokson for helping to bring this version to life. Their input and techniques went the longest way for this new version, and I couldn't be more grateful.

    [MOC] Aranya

I present to you this little spider monster, simply named Aranya. It was an absolute nightmare to build but the end results were worth it. I think it might be my best MOC to date. Something thats a bit unusual is its front claw/pincers. The whenua claws are dented ever so slightly, and as a result, the pincers click together and stay closed at any angle. You can check it out on Flickr or take a look at the Imgur album for more photos if you like what you see.

  17. 75537 Darth Maul will be released in 2018. I'm very excited to get this figure, but he's going to be the standard TPM version. That means he's the same ol' humanoid figure with standard black pieces and limbs. I was kinda hoping he would be the cyborg version from The Clone Wars, so I decided to build one myself in Lego Digital Designer: LDD MOC: Lego Star Wars Buildable Figure Cyborg Darth Maul 8 by Jek Porkchops, on Flickr He is made using mostly parts in existing colours, so I have the option of BrickLinking the parts if I decide to build him (and Maul's head sculpt will be released eventually). Some changes from these pictures will be made if I were to physically make him however: *The upper leg armour will be made using the 2016 Star Wars upper leg armour shells, as they have the perfect shape. They were however unavailable in LDD. Also, both the SW and 8M shells don't yet exist in dark bluish grey, so I might have to use black SW shells with custom grey stickers on them, or wait until they do exist. *The real one will have the regular lightsaber blade piece, but it was unavailable in LDD, so I used a substitute in the pictures. *The chest armour does not exist in regular red (without printing), so I could opt for a black version with custom red stickers. *I might make custom stickers of the black and red patterns for the torso piece, the chest and the upper arms. LDD MOC: Lego Star Wars Buildable Figure Cyborg Darth Maul 1 by Jek Porkchops, on Flickr I designed it as if it would be an official Lego set, so I had a lot of 'constraints' to work with because it also had to be sturdy and stable. While I by no means have any idea what the precise constraints are when designing such a set, I think there are are only a few things that would not make it if it were to be finalised: *The lightsaber hilt would probably be of the standard design, but I modified mine to look more like Maul's *The 'ribs' that hold his upper body in place are probably a little too fragile for little kids, but I think they are strong enough to be physically built, and I kept them this way because they are crucial to the overall look. LDD MOC: Lego Star Wars Buildable Figure Cyborg Darth Maul 2 by Jek Porkchops, on Flickr The 4M half beam is where it all began, as it is perfect for the shape of the mechanical detail in front of his stomach. I also like the light bluish grey peeking though, as it too is accurate. I wasn't able to make the 'ribs' round though, so that's something to improve upon. I also think the hip section should look a little more curved around the joints, but I do like the 'crotch' section as is. The hip / upper leg articulation is a little limited, like the K-2SO set, but not a lot. LDD MOC: Lego Star Wars Buildable Figure Cyborg Darth Maul 3 by Jek Porkchops, on Flickr I am very satisfied with the leg design, as it is proportionally accurate and pretty detailed. I have chosen DBG over gunmetal, because while gunmetal might look better, most of the parts used here aren't available in that colour and it looks very matte in the show anyway, not as shiny as gunmetal. Plus, the Lego figure from 2013 has a DBG lower body as well. The lower legs are made with a lot of system parts to create the shaping and the details. They are placed around a Technic axle that runs all the way through. LDD MOC: Lego Star Wars Buildable Figure Cyborg Darth Maul 4 by Jek Porkchops, on Flickr The toes are fully articulated using mini ball joints. The middle piece only has 3 ball joints, so I had to find a different way to add a fourth tow. In the end, this reduces its mobility, but it makes it more stable as the figure can securely lean on at least one toe per foot. Maul is posed similarly, with the hind toe extended back, in many of the official images. LDD MOC: Lego Star Wars Buildable Figure Cyborg Darth Maul 5 by Jek Porkchops, on Flickr The 1x2 plates on the backs of the lower legs represent details as well. The arms are very standard. I used a black bone on the forearm to subtly distinguish the gloves from the mechanical parts, and because Maul's elbows look mostly black. I wish the official Lego figures would return to this type of elbow joint, as the B-joints are very restrictive. LDD MOC: Lego Star Wars Buildable Figure Cyborg Darth Maul 6 by Jek Porkchops, on Flickr His back mostly consists of system elements. Maybe the shoulder blades could use some stickers as well. Sadly, I wasn't able to cover up the Technic pieces and that dreaded blue pin on his lower back, without making him too bulky. LDD MOC: Lego Star Wars Buildable Figure Cyborg Darth Maul Custom Torso by Jek Porkchops, on Flickr His torso is completely custom, because it needed to be 1M longer than a standard torso (underneath the torso ball attachment point), both proportionally and to make more room for the mechanical 'ribs' and the custom hips. I started out with three glatorian necks as the neck and shoulders, and with the torso ball connector. It was very difficult go make it stable enough, as there were a lot of pin connections that had to be doubled up with axle connections, all within a limited space, but the end result is as sturdy as most custom Bionicle 2016 torso's. I have to wait and see before I order any actual parts, as the design can probably be optimised a bit more. Also, I hope the Maul headsculpt will work well with this MOC. I might have to change some parts to dark red after seeing what 75537 looks like. So that's it. I hope you liked it :) Please leave some constructive feedback if you want. The Custom Gearbox Thread

Ah, the humble gear mechanism. From as early as 1999, a gearbox has been something which has defined a Lego action figure, and arguably made it whole. Although they had an extensive hiatus, gearboxes have returned to constraction in a big way. Many MOCists are taking inspiration from the reboot of Bionicle, and are mechanising their custom creations. Some, however, aren't just using the gearboxes the Danish gods provided them with. Custom gearboxes have hit the scene, allowing for more unique functionality and animation. Ingenious methods of motion are being integrated into models which would otherwise stand static. This thread is for you to share your own custom gearboxes, or work together with other users to develop new ideas. I'll start off by sharing a few of my designs. LW2 - Designed for stability on larger figures. LW1 (not its official name) is a gearbox coined by ToaLeewan, and is the core design the LW2 adapts upon. I have used this on several models, the first being G2 Umbra. SL1 - Designed to mimic the functionality of the Slizers. Rather superfluous, but still a fun experiment. K1 - Designed for back and forth shoulder motion, which realigns via an elastic band. I've only used this on Kaikohuru. MG1 - For use on smaller figures that use the 'XT4' frame.

Despite being a maiden, she's the Branch Chief of the Lunar Empire. If the Empress decease without a child, Qlenasy will take the throne. Qlenasy have 4 type of emotion she can swap to; ---- Neutral = Balanced, Intelligent, Cautious Her vanilla state. Despite the lack of expression in this form, she can still use small portion of her other 3 facial power in this form. ---- Alluring = Happy, Loving, Cheerful Despite her bright face, she can still pose a treat in this form. The Jantukum Flower is an exclusive plant found only in the Lunar Valley, but it can also act like a bomb by fluorously combusting. ---- Psychotic = Demonic, Sinister, Deviant While shes not psychopathic in this form, it's know to be the most dangerous from all 4 forms. A cut from the Schizo Blade open up a gap of fear throughout the target membrane. ---- Sorrowful = Enraged, Depressed, Reckless With blood pouring through her eyes, this isn't just most unhealthy form to face against, but also painful to battle against. The Dual Grim Flail-Blade create vase energy which can duplicate itself in combat. ---- Etc:
