    [MOC] Jungle Car "NIVA"

    Off-Road Expedition Car "NIVA"
  2. Sergent Eric and his men have wandered nearly a month in the jungle, they were exhausted and at the brink of collapse, when finally, the vegetation became less dense and they saw the white wall of a Corlander fort. -Hurry up, guys, we are save! -It's about time, sarge. - Sir I see some Oleaneses wandering on a chocolate bar muddy path! Should we open fire? - No, they must be the prisoner escorts long awaited. Inform the lieutenant. -Good day, sir, you are late. -Yes, my apology, and we've lost our prisoner, and we are not ashamed of. FInally, our sergent meets Count Mesabi and announced him the "good" news. Of course the Count wasn't so pleased, neverthless he invited the Blues to share his dinner. -Chef, prepare the table for our guests. -Count, I'm afraid that we are a bit low on horses. -Never mind, you can always walk. About the build, I tried to immitate Ayrlego's tower, as it has a strong corrish look.
  3. This model was based on set 21132 from the Minecraft theme, which was expanded and modified to be quite a bit larger with surrounding rock features, dangerous rope bridge, a second room and cave for the man-tiger creature. The first half of the map (the one the pirate had) described in the text is this one here while the one half Johnny had is in this link. Early summer, 1926, somewhere in the jungles of a forgotten island off the coast of South America... This is it: the Temple of the Unknown Question. Inside this structure is the other-worldly Guardian which will grant you either fantastic riches, immortality, or infinite knowledge... your choice is one of those three. (If you answer it's question correctly of course!) To reach the secluded temple, Johnny Thunder had to follow a certain map: the only problem was a 17th century pirate had the other half of said map on his ship. To find the temple, he had to find pirate, who had already answered the question and become immortal. Upon finding him, the pirate gave the map (and some advice) to Johnny, who then had it stolen by Lord Sam Sinister. After following Sam to the hidden island and the temple therein, Johnny and company have to think fast to stop Sam from getting to the ancient guardian first! Just your average rickety / unstable rope bridge, placed right before the temple entrance. ...It even collapses on the pull of a Technic pin! Three switches are inside the first room. The two outer ones will unlock the the mechanism to reveal a treasure chest, while the middle one is a dummy lever. With the two outer levers flipped down, the chest is revealed. However, inside this chest is a Pandora's box of sorts: opening it will let out a bright light for 30 seconds or so, as it sucks those unfortunate enough to see the light into the infinitely larger space in the chest and then slams shut on itself. (kinda like the Ark of the Covenant from "Raiders of the Lost Ark") In universe, this box will be taken by Sam Sinister as he thinks it contains the treasure he seeks. Meanwhile the good guys notice the door to a second room and crawl through it as soon as the bad guys leave with the false treasure. This secret second room holds the treasure guardian statue, and a back exit from the temple via a damaged wall. Just be careful not to wake the mighty tiger-man on your way out! In-universe description: The real treasure is inside the second room: after seeing the notched arrows placed by the pirate many years ago on the first room's walls, Johnny finds the small secret door and enters this room to find the guardian and five jewels. (four on walls, one on the staff in guardian's hand) The statue awakens, and asks for a member of the party to come forward to receive the question. Heeding the pirate's advice, he sends Miss Pippin Reed to do the honors, as she alone can answer what no man can answer. (she is no man, after all) After relaying the answer via whisper, her mind is wiped of the question and answer, and is given the choice of immeasurable wealth, eternal life or infinite knowledge. She chooses not to choose, saying the gifts are too large for one person (or group of people) to share. Thus, the adventurers walk back outside and plant dynamite to blow the temple sky-high, thus destroying any chance of anyone, good or evil ever getting the question right again. The man-tiger guards his cave under the temple. Be careful Johnny and company, or you'll be a mid-afternoon snack for this hungry fellow! BUILDER'S NOTES: This is the original LDD build of the temple... quite a change to now! EDIT 8/3/17: Added more recent real life pictures and modified the text!
  4. More than three hundred years ago, the Myzec were at their prime, a highly sophisticated civilization, the undisputed rulers of Cascadia. But prosperty brought another problem: Time. People suddenly had plenty of it available - to think, to develop ambitions, and to start political intrigues. Vohazulan, a minor servant of the high priestess of the Myzec, used his influence among the common people to secretly originate his own religious cult. The "Felinians", as they called themselves, worshipped the large carnivourous cats, the apex predators of Cascadia's deep jungles, as gods. Soon Vohazulan's followers grew in size, secretly raising temples in unfrequented areas deep within the jungle, where they worshipped their feline gods. The Felinians refused to fight the carnivourous cats, and being eaten by a god was the greatest honour the cultists could hope for. While Vohazulan had only strived for political influence and raw power, his cult had soon made itself independent from its founder. Young men who were supposed to become warriors, scientists or masterbuilders, and even young women who were set for their way to religious and political power, ventured into the jungle alone, to become prey to the claws of the gods. Thus having acquired a taste for human flesh, and knowing the ease of obtaining it, more and more cats had become pure maneaters - which had not been their nature ever before. When the great retreat was initiated, at the time when the Myzec retreated into the protected valley and lost all contact to their mother civilization outside, Vohazulan was banned from the city of Myzectlan. While most Myzec believe he has found his self-created doom between the teeth of the largest tiger that had ever been, some fear he had secretly returned to the city, and that his cult may have lived on in the dark till this very day. Most Myzec, however, think only the events around Vohazulan and his cult have lead to the retreat of their whole people into the valley, and thus also to the demise of their civilization. Only in recent years their warriors have started to rediscover their bravery, venturing into the jungles once again, always ready to fight the felines, while the scientists hope that over generations the cats may have forgotten the taste of human flesh. This, at least, is what Halosian scientists have extracted from the incomplete records of Myzectlans history. Quite heavily inspired by this 3d rendering which I found via Google...

  6. The invigorating air of the Isla de la Many Names wafted over the small fort overlooking the bay on the protected western side of the island. Birds flitted through the air, and all together it was a fine morning. Suddenly a boat full of Eslandola's finnest (the ETWC, of course!) appeared around the spit, doubling into view as the soldiers let out a valiant shout, and leapt into the water and towards the only path leading up the cliffs. This, smiled the Mardierian officer in charge, would be a golly good battle. "Light the fuse and man the cannon, mates!" Colonel Brickwall Jones was the officer commissioned to lead the beach landing section of Eslandola's attacking force for this ingenious operation. Not only was he a fine commander, he also was a very enthusiatic one and a rather good actor, so he was the perfect choice for the job. "Geronimo!!!" Colonel Brickwall Jones dashed out of the water and up towards the cliffs in front of his men, setting what would appear to be an excellent example. Unfortunately, however, the good fellow got a little too carried away with his part, and had underestimated the Mardierians' power of aiming... KaBLEWIE!!!! Well, let that be a lesson to you, folks, never get too enthusiastic when it's not really all that necessary... ...Anyways! - Shortly before, and on the other side of the cliffs... "There they go, boys, now it's our turn!" exclaimed the officer in command of the other division of the ETWC elite troops, on the other side of the rocks. For, you see, our Eslandolan's are nothing if not remarkably inventive and clever. So while the unfortunate Colonel Brickwall Jones led his distracting force down the obvious and obviously deadly approach to the fortress, the real attacking party had fought their way through the thick undergrowth of the jungle, and come up on the opposite side. True, there was no path up, but, of course, that wasn't any problem for the ETWC either. And while the Mardierians were enjoying their prospects of easy victory, that victory was rapidly slipping out of their (slippery) hands. The result? Well, before long the Eslandolan flag was flying gloriously over yet one more of the island's forts! For Eslandola! And, here's my entry for Category B of the ongoing challenge! It was a tolerably quick build, but I'm rather happy with how it turned out - jungle builds are just so much fun! The path (which extends nearly all the way up, goes off the base, and comes back in on top - unfortunately it was rather difficult to capture in the pictures!) and building such a tiny fort with sloping sides were definitely the hardest parts, but nothing to insuperable The turtle may have been my favorite part, though! And there are just a couple of closeups and figless overviews left, so I'll leave them here: The beach landing party, And the ex-Colonel Brickwall Jones: Figless: There you have it! Thanks for viewing, C&C are welcome!
  7. Last we saw Montoya, he was setting out from Isla de Medio to escape the unpleasant realities of war and politics and once more turn his attention to the sciences. Now he had arrived at Cascadia, where he met the vanguard of the newly formed Royal Pioneers in the form of the recon section, who are specialised in exploration and reconnaisance. They are now venturing through the jungle looking for a place to establish a base of operations for future expeditions into the heartland of Cascadia. A base that would in time be known as Camp Isaac, named after Montoya. With the pioneers clearing the way, Montoya has ample time to stop and smell the flowers. Or more accurately put, to stop to catalogue and decribe them in the name of science.

  9. Hey Guys! It's been a long time that I haven't posted any MOC on EB! Here is one of my creations I finally took time to take photos! It is my "Indiana Jones temple escape" where Sir Henry Jones Jr. tries not to be flattened by a big rock ball! It is motorized so the rock rolls after Indy! Please, do not hesitate to make any suggestion or comment! They are welcome! Hope you will enjoy! 10. Hello again :) I built this MOC for competition in Polish forum. We should build MOC matching climate to any LEGO set, which was not spent years beyond 1997-2005. Our hero must go through the bridge which rotates clockwise when we draw Technic axle. Gallery on Flickr.
  11. John (LittleJohn) and I decided to do a collab series based around re-imagining old set themes. Adventurers is a theme we’ve liked for years, though we never had any of the sets. After getting some of the original figs at Brickfair, Virginia, we wanted to put them to good use. The landscape and temple were inspired by Grant Davis and Mark of Falworth. Johnny Thunder and his team of Adventurers have discovered an uncharted jungle island. Within the dense vegetation they find the entrance to a ruined temple! After leaping from pillar to pillar, over the crocodile swamp, Johnny reaches the gateway. They’re not the first ones there though, as the treasure-seeking gang boss, G.R. Edy is there with some henchmen. Will Johnny be able to prevail, and will Dr. Kilroy fall to the alligators? We hope you enjoy, and you can see plenty more pictures on our website

    [MOC] Jungle Planet Encounter

Hello, everybody! This isn't really based off of any specific film or show. The MOC is very small but I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. The hardest part of this build was actually trying to set up the gun blast looks. Thanks for checking my creation out! 13. ...And so the search party has begun entering the deep jungle of Ile de Tyche in search of the Pirate Lord's hidden gold mine... This MOC was created to advance the campaign of Oleon at Ile de Tyche (formerly known as "The Trap"), in search of the Pirate Lord's hidden gold mine. CC welcomed as always! Stumbling and falling our men press forward with the help of a scout and the adamant resolve of Hugo D' Offren. Always guarding Hugo, Tom "Juggernaught" Jones with his dual "cannons". Font free photo (i havent decided if the blue baseplate helps as font or not) As always, thanks for watching!
  14. This is my entry for Challenge II - Defending Yer Claims, category B. This event took place during the initial wave of exploration in New Terra, before Oleon established a permanent presence on the island. Most revered chieftain, there have been trespassers on our sacred island! They came from one of those huge canoes with sails big like the clouds in the sky. We met a band of their warriors in the tall forest and they were clothed in blood! They were also carrying magical blowpipes which were bellowing lightning and smoke at us. Our brave warriors were at first stricken with fear of the magic, but when we saw that they could die like any man and that their blowpipes were not as fast as ours we rallied under the ancestral cries of war and defeated the invaders. Their companions paddled back in their small canoe to their big canoe with sails like clouds. The abomination left through the mists for other waters. May the Ancestors help us to keep our waters and this sacred island safe from more of these filthy invaders! Probably Oleon’s endeavour of pacifying Île de Zeus will not be without bloodshed either... The whole scene Closing in on the enemy Brave warriors Reload! Reload! I see them! They can't hide in those blood-stained clothes! My poisonous arrow hit it's mark. Another is ready! I tried to play a bit with more direct off-camera flash to simulate sunlight, do you like it?

    [M - E02] A Daring Heist

Location: E02-Jurin II Tags: Building, Vehicle, Piracy, Spying Job: Explorer After a long vacation, MANTIS had another mission for me. Un-like most of my previous missions, this one involved infiltrating an Octan base and gathering information about a chemical that accelerated plant growth. I was thrilled to find that two of my good friends, Isaac Redsyn and Massi Editoro, were also on the same mission, as well as a MANTIS commo. Isaac was of course assigned to be the driver, which was to be expected. What wasn't expected was the vehicle he would be piloting... An Octan hoverplane. So, you're sure you know how to drive one of these things? Of course I do! I've driven tons of rigs! ... Apparently not enough though. Could you get this thing right side up for once?! I'm trying, I'm trying, but it keeps going every which way! Where are the brakes on this anyways? Hoverplanes don't have br- Massi to helicopter, are you guys ready up there? We might be, if Isaac knew how to drive this... Almost, we're getting into position. Stand by for signal. Roger. In position, proceed with distraction. Yes sir! Here you go little plants, drink up! Go, go go! What was that?! I've got it! Go up, go up! Mission accomplished, good job everyone. Now to take it back to the lab for the scientists to test and analyze. A few more shots of the build: More pictures here: Link It was good to do another AG build, after so many castle builds. C&C welcome!

    The Falcon's Nest

Hello fellow EBers, I would would like to present my latest build: The Falcon's Nest The Falcon's Nest by Joshua, on Flickr The Falcon's Nest- tree platform details by Joshua, on Flickr The Falcon's Nest- Lenfel riverine patrol boat by Joshua, on Flickr The Falcon's Nest ------------------------------- As the riverine patrol boat rounded the bend in the river, Elfrida beheld a sight such as she had never seen in her lifetime. Ahead of them, standing at the water's edge, were a half-dozen tan trees, speckled with brown spots. But that was not what was so mind-blowing about them. Rather, it was the fact that they were giants, soaring up into the sky for hundreds of feet, their huge roots disappearing under the pale blue water. Ringing the colossal trunks, every twenty feet or so, were wooden platforms, some with doorways to rooms bored into the tree, others with huts, supported by thick beams. A narrow bridge, without railings, spanned the river, connecting two of the largest trees. Whatever she had imagined the so-called 'Falcon's Nest' to be, it paled in comparison to the real thing. Behind her, manning the tiller of the boat, the captain called to his sailors. "Lower the sail boys! And get that mooring line ready!" As the crew carried out their orders, movement on the bridge ahead caught Elfrida's sharp eye. A Lenfel Scout Sniper stepped out onto the walkway, watching the boat approach, then turned to call down to someone, presumably to say they had arrived. Rounding the biggest tree's trunk, they came within sight of the small dock built into the trunk. A figure walked out to the end of the dock, waiting for them to pull up. Elfrida grinned and waved when she saw who was waiting for them on the dock. ----------------------------------------- Captain Rhinedall Alden smiled, and waved back as the boat pulled close enough for him to see his old friend, whom he hadn't recognized at first with her shorter hair, standing amidships, waving to him with a huge grin on her face. Stepping forward, he prepared to catch the mooring line, as it was tossed to him by a sailor. ----------------------------------------- As soon as the boat bumped against the dock, pushing a small rowboat out of the way, Elfrida jumped nimbly onto the dock, and embraced her childhood friend warmly. He returned the embrace, then held her at arm's length. "Look at you! You've changed so much, I barely recognize you now!" She laughed. "I'm a full-fledged Ranger now Rhinedall. Of course I've changed. You however," she looked him up and down, "haven't changed a bit!" "He grinned, and they started walking towards the ladder leading up to the first platform, after untieing the patrol boat so it could continue on it's way. "Why'd you cut your hair?" Rhinedall asked curiously. The other replied, "I found it was starting to get in the way during combat. Plus, knowing I was being deployed here, I decided long hair might not be the best idea in a humid environment. Why? Don't you think it looks good?" Rhinedall shrugged. "No, I do think you look good. It's just going to take some getting used to, that's all." Changing the subject, he added," You must have lot to talk about." She smiled. "I do indeed. But first, got any ale in this place? Elfrida and Rhinedall had known each other since childhood, growing up together in Stonebourgh. Both had joined the Rangers when they'd gotten old enough, but they were sent to seperate places, Rhinedall to Stonewald, Elfrida to Durrough, where, during her stay there, she had run into a young knight by the name of Haymar, and decided to take a break from her tedious ranger training, and join his company, participating in several notable quests and events, such as the Battle of Durrough. Having recently left Haymar's company, she had traveled to Stonewald, to finally complete her erstwhile training. It was here that she and Rhinedall ran into each other again, and their old friendship was renewed, only to be broken again when news of the Great Western Islands reached Stonewald, and Rhinedall was deployed there, to establish a Scout Sniper outpost. Now however, they had been reunited once more, as Elfrida was now a full-fledged Ranger, and had also been deployed to New Lenfald, to check up on and help with improvements, to both the Emerald City, and the outpost, which had been dubbed The Falcon's Nest. And we won't be separated again. Not if I have anything to say about it, that is. She was snapped out of her reverie, by the shout of a panicked (and unseen) Scout Sniper, on lookout duty somewhere in the outpost. "River Serpent!!!!!!" Grabbing her bow, Elfrida followed Rhinedall out of the small hut were they'd been having lunch. Seems I'm about to find out just how good my Ranger skills are. ------------------------------------------------ The Falcon's Nest is my entry for Lenfald's LC 21: New Lenfald Rising, over on Merlin's Beard. Hope you all like it!

    [M-E02] Jungle Mission

Location: E02, Jurin II Tags: Land Vehicle, Vehicle, Spying, Job: Driver Start Log: I was sent to the jungles of Jurin II to infiltrate an Octan compound, the jungle environment provided a perfect testing zone for one of the new MANTIS jeeps: The Octan outpost was protected by a laser fence, but some standard issue explosives took care of that quickly: The Jeep was quite fun to build, and the jungle path and landscape were a nice change from my recent snowy MOCs. The vehicle’s roll cage and doors open, and the winch works. See more pictures, here. Good to do another AG build

    [MOC] Santa Catalina's Fortress

[pid][/pid] 251B Hello again ! I had not wrote a new thread here since months ... The blame for this has been what I brought in hand from about makes about 6 - 8 months... I present to you this diorama seen at LEGO Catbrick Event in Barcelona. The Fortress of Santa Catalina, located in Puerto Rico, in the heart of the Caribbean. Erected in the sixteenth century, was the first fortification built to defend the city of San Juan and the first in a series of military forts. Construction was authorized by King Carlos I of Spain as a protection against the attacks of indians, corsairs and pirates. Eastern tower section. Jungle and river. Pirate prisioner on courtyard. For its construction I used about 35,000 pieces. In theory it is not right either a MOC, I should label it as a WIP, because the original project is a quarter of a much larger diorama than this. This portion, is 6 x 4 baseplates and the final project will occupy 12 x 8 baseplates. Gradually I will try to finish it. I 'm uploading to flickr the rest of the gallery, so I recommend that you see there the rest of photos and see the details. (If you click on image you will be redirected to flickr) I wish you enjoy it! A greeting! EDIT: I add more photos!

[M - E02] The Jungles of Jurin II

Location: E02-Jurin II Tags: Vehicle, Exploration Job: Explorer After delivering my rock samples from Guinevere back to HQ, I was asked to test out the new T4 Jeep in the jungles of Jurin II. I accepted the job. Picked up a few plant samples to take back to Dr.Arvan 'Yrich Arkov's lab, but haven't seen much else of interest so far. Wait.. what was that? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Stay back, I've got a MANTIS™ Death Ray Blaster©, and I know how to use it! The alien stared at me with his baseball size eyes, not moving. I relaxed my grip a little on the Death Ray Blaster©. Just then, I had a brilliant idea; I got out a coil of rope and made a lasso out of it. The alien seemed disturbed by this movement, and started to turn away. I threw before he could get to far though, and hauled back on the rope, to stop his progress. It was then a simple matter to tie him to the back of the T-4 and tow him along behind. Big Sal's gonna love this! A few more pics: More pictures here: Link C&C welcome

[M - E02] The Jarring Jungles of Jurin II

Activity - Exploration. Location - Jurin II - E02 Previously, Mark of Orion had survived a deadly ambush on Guinevere. Now, he and his team were on the other side of the galaxy, exploring the heavily vegetatious planet of Jurin II. "Look at all the flora and fauna! Too bad Malcolm couldn't see all this!" Bert strolled around, happily gazing at all the new species before his eyes. "Malcolm didn't seem to be the type who was interested in plants - he was easily bored with his surroundings, if I recall." Mark scoffed and pushed a branch out of his face. Bert tromped through some thick ground cover. "Yeah, whatever happened to him, anyway? He sure was a jerk." "He got vaporized by a nano-beam of a Kawashita special forces agent." "Oh, that's... too bad. I assume you just ran for it?" "No, I turned to fight all three of 'em." "WOW, what happened?!" "It was all a bit of a blur. I don't remember." Mark said coldly, turning away. Bert decided he'd better stop asking questions, and looked back at his scanner. "Captain Brutus, I'm getting some strange readings - some kind of insectoid life form in this tree!" "There's lots of beetles and bugs around here. Nothing to worry about." The captain gruffly growled. Just then, a Massive Malicious Munchmoid leaped on the terrified captain, disproving his statement. THIS bug was something to worry about! The entire crew immediately panicked at the sight of the grotesque creature dropping from the trees. The Munchmoid landed squarely on the captain, who screamed loudly, muffled underneath the bug's weight. Lew, who was standing next to Mark of Orion, attempted to disarm the bug with his phaser, but was too frightened to aim properly and the shot went wide. Mark of Orion, however, knew he must act quickly, and in one step, set his MANTIS™ death ray blaster© against the creature's forehead. Mark's death ray blaster sang its song, and the Munchmoid went flying backwards from the sheer force of the glowing blast. Captain Brutus leapt back from the scene of his near demise. "GAAAHH! It almost got me! I can't feel my arm!" "That would be my blaster, sir. The ray must have clipped your arm." Mark jumped in between him and the still form of the Munchmoid. "Then why isn't it GONE?! And the beastly bug too?!" "I took the liberty of adding a stun setting to my MANTIS™ death ray blaster©. I assume you will approve, considering you still have your arm?" "Ah, yes, yes, that's fine, Orion, thank you." The captain pointed at the Munchmoid. "Now VAPORIZE this thing!" "Wait, sir. It's completely stunned and won't move for days. Why don't we drag it back to the dropship and use it for research?" Mark suggested with a grin. "Are you KIDDING me?!" Mark's grin continued. Apparently, he wasn't. "Ugh. All right. YOU get to drag it back, then." The captain rolled his one eye. And with that, the slightly shaken and jittery crew headed back to their ship. ...To Be Continued! (Begin Commentary) Well, I was completely swamped with school this weekend, but I still wanted to get a little build in for AG. Hopefully I'll have more time in the next few weeks to do something even bigger and better. Here's a final overview shot:

[M-A05] A day at the beach

    - Log of Agent G - - I have recently arrived on the planet designated A05, or more commonly known as Yallorn II. The flora resembles a typical jungle environment, but the ocean that surrounds each island seems to cool the land, therefore eliminating the hot and sweaty aspect of the jungle. This also allows for some interesting insects and animals. I've reached the edge of one of the larger of the many islands, and am proceeding to inspect the nature of the water. Agent G out. - C&C welcome.

  23. I bought a couple of the Friend’s Jungle sets a few months ago and knew right away I wanted to modify them so they look less like a picnic area and more of an actual jungle. I decided to go for a jungle mountain slope scene: Here are the original sets: Both of the main sets have a ‘hidden door’ mechanism that reveals a pathway. I modded the sets so that as you pull on the loose boulder on top it open up both the cave wall and the waterfall synchronously. Both passageways reveal gemstones. My collection of spare bricks is limited so that back of the set still looks fairly bare, but once I get enough grey bricks I’ll try to make it more interesting. I replaced the Friend minidoll with the cmf Cave Girl who now has a home, enjoys swinging from tree to tree and hanging out in her cave. So, can you spot all the jungle animals?
