  1. Hi everyone, On LOWLUG is a Castle contest from beginning of March till the end of April. There are 5 categories in this contest. Vignet Flora Battle/Duel Village life Headquarters I've build several MOC's for this contest. I'll share them in this topic. Vignet - Classic Castle This is the only Classic Castle minifig I have. It was suitable to use for a vignet. Vignet - Knights Kingdom II A young Vladek is at the small gate of the Black Fortress. Duel - Knights Kingdom This is the duel between Cedric the Bull and Princess Storm. Flora - Fantasy Just a small scene with more focus on plants and trees. For this build I used a Magenta baseplate. Inspiration for this build came from the album cover of a Melodic Death Metal band called Black Forest with the album Dream. Flora - Forestmen Of course I've had to build a Forestmen MOC for this contest. The Forestmen are in the forest for hunting. They have spotted a deer. Headquarters - Lion Knights Photo is a bit too bright. Sorry for that. Lion Knights are leaving the city. Some people are in the street getting the usual stuff. In the alley are a few spies of the Dragon Knights. For more pictures, please look into my Flickr Album. Feedback is appreciated.
  2. Hi everyone, This is my latest build: Ambush in the forest. The Lion Knights are marching home. In the forest the Lion Knights are ambushed by the Wolfpack Renegades. I wanted to experiment with different plants and trees. This was also the right scene to experiment with SNOT build rocks. Feedback is appreciated. More pictures are in my Flickr album.
  3. Hi everyone, This is my latest MOC: Battle of the old ruins of Lyon's Keep Another war between the Lion Knights and the Black Knights. This is the battle takes place in the ruins of Lyon's Keep. For more pictures please look into my Flickr album. Feedback is appreciated.
  4. Hi everyone, This is a recent build of mine. After the adventure in the jungle and among the Ancient Amazon Ruins, Johnny Thunder and his friends made it back with the boat. Gabarros had left after Johnny paid him and the adventurers are loading the cars to travel back to the airport. Senor Palomar was killed by Achu and Rudo Villano had escaped with a raft on the river. Enraged by seeing the Adventurers after what happened in the Jungle, he stabs Harry Cane. Johnny Thunder is angered by this and grabs his sword and attacks Rudo. How will this end? Feedback and questions are appreciated.
  5. Hi everyone, A happy new year to you all. I want to show you my latest creation. This castle is the home of the Black Crows. The men are preparing to march through the lands. Some people are moving crates and barrels to the storage rooms. I wanted to use the Tournament Knights. This was a great excuse to do something with the new minifigures. For more pictures, please look into my Flickr album. Comments/feedback/questions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    [MOC] Trouble in the City

Hi everyone, I had a few ideas with the Super Warrior figure from the latest CMF series. I present to you my latest build. Trouble in the City A time traveler is in the city and is causing havoc. The Red Warriors have come to deal with this time traveler. For more pictures, please look into my Flickr album.
  7. Hi everyone, I finally took the time to take pictures of a few scenes. The scenes were already shown at Dutch Comic Con in November. The first scene is inspired by X-Men: Days of Future Past movie. Magneto was at a gathering to stop people from buying Sentinels. In his exit he confronts the local police. The second scene is inspired by the Lego Marvel Super Heroes video game. Venom is creating chaos in an office building. Spider-Man is very close. Can you spot him? For more pictures see my Flickr album. Feedback and questions are appreciated anytime.
  8. I've started building with some various Super Heroes scenes. Two scenes are finished. The Scarecrow has placed some canisters with fear gas in the docks. But why? Is this a distraction? Batman hasn't noticed the green question mark yet. The other scene is a bit inspired by the Flash TV series. The Flash noticed a yellow streak moving through Central City and started to chase it. There are more pictures in my Flickr album. Feedback and questions are appreciated. Sander

    MOC: Downtown

Hello fellow EB members. I've been working on this MOC for the last couple of months which includes a Cinema, bakery and clothing shop. No interiors were included this time. Its been only my second project this year due to moving my whole Lego collection to another room and re-organizing. Hopefully more to come next year! It is based on 1930-1940's timeline as it was a flimsy excuse to build a old style car and tram and more importantly the Luxor cinema which is what I started building first. Anyway on with the pics, 4 in all to include a few closeup shots. Any questions on building techniques or general comments I'll do my best to answer. You can find all the same pics on my flickr here in bigger sizes if you so wish: https://www.flickr.com/photos/52656812@N04/ Cheers!

    [MOC] Despair

A scene of a bathroom, where in the bathroom mirror you can see a woman sitting by the window feeling despair. I'm also showing two "behind the scenes"-photos.
  12. This is one of four models that I built in 2016 for a book with a LEGO scene for each US president, that unfortunately didn’t work out. Portrayed here is Calvin Coolidge’s Address to Congress, which was the first in the US to be broadcasted over radio. You can compare it to this reference image: A non-immersive picture of the build can be seen on Brickbuilt. Thanks for looking
  13. Hi everyone, I have build several vignettes with the minifigs from polybags (giveaways). I have done something similar with Star Wars minifigures. The first one is Hank Pym, who has turned into a giant. The second one is the Winter Soldier inside a Hydra facility. The third vignette is with Rocket Raccoon with Groot, The fourth vignette is with Rhodey as Iron Patriot. The Hulk is on a rampage and is still angry. Tony Stark in his Silver Centurion suit. The last vignette is with Electro inside a power plant. For more pictures, visit my Flickr album. Feedback and questions are welcome. Sander
  14. I thought I'd build up a few models in the series before sharing it on here, but with four instalments so far, I felt it was time. This is my Star Wars Ring-Worlds project, each instalment depicts/will depict a different location in the star wars galaxy with each one confined to the same circular base. And that's about it really, as the title suggests this won't be a series I'll update regularly, rather an ongoing project where I'll build the nest location as and when I fell like it. I've got a few ideas about which planets (or moons ) to do next but if anyone has any suggestions or ideas I'm all ears. But for now at least, I'll end this first post with the first four instalments in the series, Yavin 4, Lah'mu, Naboo and Lothal. Enjoy! MOC: Wonder Woman

Hi everyone, I participated on a contest of LowLUG. The contest was to build something what has something to do with: in fire and flame. Maximum 16 x 16 studs and 20 bricks high. This is the second build for the contest and it is based on the Wonder Woman movie. I wanted to create the fighting scene with Ares on the airport which was on fire. But with a max of 16 x 16 studs, I abandoned the idea had focused on another scene from the movie. Steve Trevor and Wonder Woman have liberated the town called Veld from the Germans. After dancing, drinking and singing, Steve and Diana staying at the hotel and kiss each other for the first time. For more pictures visit my Flickr album Wonder Woman Questions and feedback are welcome. Sander

    MOC: Ghost Rider

Hi everyone, I participated on a contest of LowLUG. The contest was to build something what has something to do with: in fire and flame. Maximum 16 x 16 studs and 20 bricks high. The first build was Ghost Rider. I created the motorcycle, which is a bit too big. The street and house was realized quick. Unfortunately I did not have the parts to create a better lamppost. For more pictures visit my Flickr album Ghost Rider. Questions and feedback are welcome. Sander

MOC: The Doctor vs. The Daleks

Hi all, I wanted to create a scene with Doctor Who and I wanted to experiment with floor techniques. The Doctor found out that the Daleks have created a portal to travel through time. The Daleks want to go back to the Time War to save their race from extinction. The Doctor have three Daleks in his vision, but he is not aware there is a fourth Dalek. Clara keep a low profile and stays with the TARDIS. No one have noticed that Weeping Angels are present and absorbing energy from the portal. For more pictures you can go to my Flickr album. Doctor Who Comments and questions are welcome. Sander
  18. Hello everyone. This is my last diorama and the bigger one I've ever made, work started last summer. I've spent about 5 months to build it (included all veichles, buildings etc.), in free time. there are about 25.000 pieces, I don't know exact number and I don't care. Diorama are based on 12 bases 48x48, 5 bases 32x32 and 1 base 16x32, approx 210x120 cm. I hope you enjoy it, please leave a comment and follow me on flickr, there are more pictures. Thank you very much to all and sorry for my bad english. Andrea, Kriminal, Italy.
  19. Hi guys, I have just finished another Star Wars MOC. This time I wanted to mess around with the idea of forced perspective and decided to recreate one of my favourite shots from Return of the Jedi. As with all my micro mocs I wanted to stick to the 16x16 base, which in this instance was quite a challenge but eventually I managed to find a way to fit everything I wanted into the scene. The colour palette choice for Jabba's Palace was partly based on the official lego sets of "Jabba's Palace' and 'Rancor Pit' especially the dark grey base for the Palace to sit atop but I decided to go with darker colours for the Palace itself similar to the actual scene from the film. Finally I have recently got hold of the Boushh mini fig (one of my favourites) and so wanted to incorporate her somehow. I then had the idea that Chewie and Liea would have walked the same route to get to Jabba's Palace and so changed the sky to a sunset scene to reflect the time of day they arrived at the Palace. Which do you prefer? C3P0 and R2 or Boushh and Chewie? Also I am thinking of doing some more scenes similar to this, incorporating micro builds and mini figs but wondered if people liked this style? Should I stick to the micro landscapes I have been building or do more scenes in this style?

    Dwarven Trade in Dale

My fourth entry into the 14th Colossal Castle Contest, for the Traveling Salesman Category. I was inspired by the architecture of Dale from The Hobbit, and also Legopard and The Brick Vader’s rendition of Venice. Every building has a full interior. The dwarves of Erebor sell many of their fine wares in Dale before continuing on their sales circuit to Mirkwood. Their skill in smithing and quarrying fine gems is well known. See all the pictures here. Thanks for looking, C&C welcome

    Summer Joust [MOC]

Typo in the title, should be Summer, if a mod wants to fix it This was made to serve as the announcement poster for the Summer Joust contest. I took a lot of inspiration from Mark and Steven‘s Grand Joust of Giscellicburg. I tried to achieve a festive atmosphere with lots of bright colors, and large crowds of spectators which was quite a lot of fun. More pictures can be found on brickbuilt. C&C welcome
  25. A brick-built scene of one of the most dramatic episodes of the 'Psycho Dad' series on YouTube, hosted by Jesse Ridgeway (aka McJuggerNuggets). Here's the real video:
