"Let's go men!" We burst through the doors only to have Rod shot down. I dive behind a crate while the remainder of my squad scramble for cover. It's almost as if they expected us to be here. 2 human thugs and a cyborg were unleashing volleys of lasers in our direction. I shot one thug and he fell behind a crate. I jumped out and joined the rest of my troops as we pushed towards the door. The cyborg fell, hit by a laser bolt. We ran towards the last thug, and I hit him square in chest. He fell back and into a control panel, opening the other door into the palace. "Well, at least we don't have to hack into the panel now." We advanced through the door and into the palace halls.

I'm currently busy collecting minifigure parts for and assembling lots of new, original Star Wars characters for a slightly fanboyish and ambitioned continuation of a certain story, leading into new stories around favored characters and lots of new ones. We'll see where this will go, if anywhere... In the meantime, I assembled a new MOC of the Rebel U-wing featured in Rogue One. I like this ship because it presents a new, sturdy and easily recognizable shape among the already established rebel ships, and because I love the idea of a troop-transport with hyperspace capability, as befits the tactics employed by the rebels. I went for stability and sturdyness - as I like to do - and getting the shapes and proportions right. A sleek appearance also was a main goal, so as to underline the straight, sharp lines defining the design of this craft. I hope you like it: The cockpit section can be removed to access the pilot seat and the (smallish) troop compartment: The wings fold back and line up perfectly with the back section of the fuselage to which the engines are attached, leaving no gap in flight mode. When in flight mode, the wings snap into place via a ball joint-connection similar to the official set. When in landing mode, the inner side of each wing is firmly attached to the side of the front part of the fuselage via two studs: The doors to each side of the troop compartment slide open and close without leaving gaps: Enjoy, comment, nitpick, or just leave a reply.

I am currently working on a Ghost MOC from Star Wars Rebels. I'm basing the design of DarthTwoShedsJackson's Ghost. I really dislike the original Lego set because its too small and has no interior. I'm making it UCS scaled and it would really help if anyone could give me some advice.

This is the long worked on Lego Nebulon-b Escort Frigate. I started building this one day a month ago when I was looking for something challenging to build. I did a quick google on rebel ships, and decided to do this one. I saw another, way bigger version of this on eurobricks, and I used that as a little reference, too. The ship is very sturdy, and the way it is built is very cool. Here's an overview picture and I will go into more detail in other pictures. (Just so you know this isn't the Redemtion, that's why the pods are different colors) (It is swooshable, and I intend on making an instruction manual for you guys).

Hey everyone, Was just browsing the board and noticed @Forresto asking about Rebels style Tie Fighters, so I pulled up the ones I designed a little while back that I hadn't posted yet. I haven't had time to build them in real bricks yet, but once I get some free time I'll probably give it a go. First up in the Standard Rebels Tie Fighter; I combined multiple techniques from different builders from here and on Flickr to get the ball as round as possible, I can't remember who right now, but if I remember I will try to add names. Changing the wing size from the standard was a bit of a pain but this seams to hold together. Next is my version of the Inquisitor's Tie Advanced Prototype; The wings were also a pain to build on this one, I tried to keep them as thin as possible, which unfortunately means they aren't the strongest design, but they will work for now. Hope you all enjoy, I realise tie fighters are a dime a dozen, but I tried to go in a different direction with my design to better fit the Rebels aesthetic.

[MOCs] The Workhorse and the Racehorse of the Rebel Fleet

After playing the good old X-wing and Tie fighter series of videogames in my rare spare time lately, I had the urge to build my favorite tag-team of the Rebel Alliance: The Y-wing to deliver a huge punch to large targets, and the A-wing to clear the path for the Y-wing towards the target. I already had a good base to start with for the A-wing with my McQuarrie A-wing prototype, but I improved and modified the build once more. First of all, I made the sides smoother and the angle of the sides more accurate by getting rid of the slope bricks, and using a straight assembly of tiles mounted on a hinge instead. Here I also applied a sticker - something I normally don't do - but in this case it looks much better with the long dark sticker on the front two thirds of the sides to represent the dark gap in the fuselage for the torpedo- or missile-launchers. Also, it's an official sticker from Lego originally used for the canopy of an older A-wing set. I also made the fuselage in front of the engines one stud shorter, and the part of the fuselage in-between the engines one stud longer - both of which required a re-engineering of the internal structure, mainly for sturdiness. I also brick-built the engines differently to the official set in the recent wave, and also made them one stud longer. This gave me the right proportions compared to the studio model used in Return of the Jedi. The engines are also angled less than those of the McQuarrie prototype-version in order to give the fins the correct angle. With the Y-wing I basically had to start from scratch, which initially required some sketch-building mainly to get a grasp of the correct proportions of the engines and the cockpit sections and to get the size correct for minifig scale. As with the A-wing, I also wanted to SNOT-built it with studs-up in all 6 directions, and give it accurate greebling and detail as much as possible. I quickly realized that it was important to get the contrast between the smooth elegant cockpit and front sections of the engines and the cluttered, mechanical fuselage right. I also aimed for retractable landing gear, so that I can display it in landed mode or flight mode along with my A-wing. What can I say? I'm pretty happy with how both have turned out, and building the Y-wing with all the greebling was lots of fun. Both are sturdy - something which was particularly important with the Y-wing because the engines are heavy, as is the rest of the model, which is why the flat wide struts that connect the engines to the fuselage have their core built right into the inner structure of the engines and the fuselage, resulting in a very solid connection which prevents the struts from bending at all under all the weight - neither in landed nor in flight mode - and the engines not wobbling at all. Hi everyone! This is my entry to the third round of the MOC-Olympics over at IDS. The task was to show the Empire and the Rebels fight over the orange cargo boxes from Rogue One and explain what they contain. After the A-Wing fighters of 'Phoenix-Squadron' had destroyed the Imperial escort and disabled the transport shuttle, Captain Syndulla's freighter 'The Ghost' took over the main mission. The Imperial shuttle was loaded with food supplies for the garrison on Ryloth. The special forces team on board the 'Ghost' was tasked with the retrieval of the cargo containers before they got lost in the infinity of space. But as they disembarked from the cargo hold and started retrieving the containers, stormtroopers with oxygen tanks on their backs rose from the wreckage. Was this all a trap? It was important for the rebels not to panic, the mission was their top priority. The people of Ryloth would starve if they abandoned their mission at the first sign of trouble.. Hello again, Eurobricks! I decided for my second MOC I'd dive in the deep end, the easiest way to learn, right? So I thought that the hammerhead would be a good choice being such an iconic ship in the canon Star Wars universe now. I will be updating this topic when any noticable progress is made, which may be a while because this quite a large project for me. This is where I am so far...I've taken a break due to the rear section being the most difficult. Any comments and suggestions are welcome! Thank you!

Hi, in my opinion the official ITT set 79078 is way too small and so I decided to build my own version. Since I don't own that much bricks I built it digitally using the LDD. So here's my final design: I hope you like it :) Best Vaionaut

[MOC] Building McQuarrie's A-wing with Ahsoka and Chopper

Taking a few critical looks at my original A-wing MOC, I decided that a few important improvements were in order to get the shapes and proportions right. So I spent a few hours during the past few weeks to revisit the built, and a lot has changed - quite a lot, especially with the internal frame and the way this model is built. The changes were neccessary to accomodate the more correct outer shape, and to retain the sturdiness of the original MOC. Now Ahsoka's ride was finally finished, and after a few intelligence missions into imperial territory and a daring escape, Ahsoka asked Chopper to check her A-wing for imperial transmitters in an abandoned facility from the Clone Wars before returning to Phoenix Squadron. "What have you done, Chopper?! When I told you to take this thing apart to check for transmitters, I meant it figuratively, not literally!" "Badoop, ba ba. Arrrrrh!" "Ach, okay. When I was young I spended whole days on playing with my lego's. I had boxes full of them: town, star wars, technic, adventurers,... One year ago I rolled back into the hobby and buyed Some sets and started collecting. I focus on the LEGO Star Wars now. I love the Star Wars Rebels series and I started building my own A-wing Starfighter. Found some inspiration on this forum and the web. Here it is, but keep in mind, it isn't done yet.

Hello all, my very first post here on the forums. I recently purchased the Ghost from Star Wars Rebels and felt the set didn't really do the ship justice, hence I played around with modding her. I decided to extend the cockpit section longer by 2 stubs, and smoothening the slope on her dorsal side. Also made big changes to her under belly, basically covering the big holes in the under hull and making the landing pad housings taller. Lastly i removed the detachable feature of the Phantom, and modified her aft hull to fill up the space on the Ghost. Pls do leave some comments on what you guys think. Am kinda new to this :

Greetings to all, Finally, after the course of almost 3 months of designing in LDD, I have finished my original creation of the beloved T-47 Airspeeder—but what we all know and commonly refer to as Snowspeeder, from the epic battle of Hoth featured in "Empire Strikes Back." Prior to building this airspeeder, I loved The Empire and everything concerning it, yet I despised the Rebels and everything about them. Well recently before the snowspeeder, I have been building a minifigure-scale AT-AT walker and numerous things related drew on me—especially the snowspeeder. I began to find the snowspeeder quite fascinating, and the idea to have one accompany my walker. Now the rest was made history in the course of about 3 months. Proceeding to photos Upon the level of detail, yet on a small scale, one would consider this a scaled down version of the 10129 UCS Snowspeeder model for minifigures. Like so it would be appropriate to design a display stand, for a "in flight" position. The bottom is nothing less of a swooshy-esque Now proceeding to various details of the ship: Here is the inside of the cockpit Unlike others, I decided to forgo a detailed interior. My priorities were to design the body with structural integrity, and readily accessibility for placing and displacing minifigures—even to having them sit on tiles instead of plates, because we all know how frustrating it is to pull minifigures off of studs by their headgear. Besides the smooth uniform slope of the repulsor units or either the laser housing, one of the most unique details are the grille detail on the repulsor units. Prior to designing, I have not seen this detail properly represented, but with exception to Lego's UCS Snowspeeder. I am appreciative I was able to achieve this because they look absolutely attractive. As well of something that is other times overlooked is the barrel diameter for the lasers. I believe any were to make their original T-47, the barrel diameter for the lasers should be according to. There is simply nothing else better than the use of technic pins for this aspect of the aircraft. As you have notice, besides the new Speed Champions windscreen, I have implemented Larry Lars' nose design into my work. I originally used the decorated wedge brick used on Lego's former Snowspeeder products, but later on in the design it work as desired. But what I always find remarkable about the plated nose is how readily easy it was to implement without sacrificing any details on the wings. Also I used Lars' most recent heat sink design, yet I made changes to it for implementation into my snowspeeder. Not only that, I as well replace that hinge plate he used for the plug detail on his with a modified tile with clip—for added accuracy of detail. Thrusters. What I believe is also critical to be represented, is the smooth, uniform, transition from the end of the wings to the boarder of the canopy. Simply the way this aspect must be, but mission accomplish here. Onwards to the structure of the build: The minifigures Luke & Dak True, Luke & Dak did not operate a snowspeeder with orange markings, but who ever cared about this with the original snowspeeder back in 1999 and its reboot in 2003? Unique 20 facts about this: I have fidelity for details and for them to be accurately represented as possible in my models Yes, I am perhaps a model maker, yet I aim to utilize Lego in unprecedented ways to incarnate the quintessence of that which I am modeling after I have only implement Lars' design for the nose and heat sink the rest of this model genuinely original The model is quite modular—can be separated in three pieces: body and wings The body is structurally sound—comprised of mostly plates which are overly interlocked to each other It would take such a crash to obliterate the body This model consist of 486 Lego elements The dimensions of the model from the wides and longest points (excluding the laser tips) are 20 x 23 studs Only three parts are unproperly connected according to Lego's system There is no black elements featured in the model (excluding the display stand) The heat sink and the grille pattern of the repulsor units are featured in old dark grey—a stylistic preference to highlight these aspects of the model in a respect to have being weathered down by heat The thrusters uses a dark grey antenna—a rare color unreleased before The harpoon gun was redesigned 7 times before settling on the current version (which makes 8) Despite some elements in older colors, the oldest part is the sunroof set for the canopy The display stand consist of 30 Lego elements While displayed, the snowspeeder is locked fixed onto the stand by the four fingers clutching the rib-esque section underneath While attached the snowspeeder will not wobble and could even be handled upside down (though that is not recommended) Placed on horizontal surfaces, the display would not topple unless intended force is applied There is 176 white elements, 151 light blueish gray elements, and 136 dark blueish gray elements A LDD file is available and is free as for now *FILES REMOVED*

[MOC] Les Miserables Battle Scene: Can you hear the people sing?

I put together this build for the Flickr group, Lego War, which held a contest during August and September. It is a scene from the book/play/movie Les Miserable where the students build a barricade and fight against tyranny in the June Rebellion of 1832. Behind the Build I'm a firm believer that Lego MOC's should be sturdy and playable, so I made each of the buildings in the image able to open up and included internal details such as furniture, wall hangings, internal walls, and doors and in some cases stairwells. This was helpful to me as builder since to make the scene, I could empty the furniture from the surrounding buildings to make the barricade to join the rebellious minifigures in their fight against the "National Guard" minifigures. Making the plaza and street sections took a lot of round tile pushing and left me with sore thumbs. The good part about this is that now that the tiles are on the plates, I can reuse the plates! For those of you familiar with some of castle Lego sets, you might see that I styled my buildings after the buildings from Lego's Medieval Market (set 10193). In fact, you can see the top of the tan building from the Medieval Market included in the background of the image. The National Guard soldiers are using muskets and hats purchased from Brickwarriors.com which I hand painted to highlight the metal parts. Funny Fact Though, this is the "June Rebellion" which in France would have been at the start of summer, I portrayed the plaza as if it were taking place during Autumn. Having myself only seen the TV Movie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0077936/), I didn't know the time of year that this was occurring until I did more research on the topic. Apparently in my version of events, June that year was particularly cold and caused the trees to turn colors. Shadows of Nar Eurbrikka Episode XII: Siege of Javin Javin, back end of the Corellian Trade Spine. After the disaster at Kuat Alliance High Command scrambled to regain the losses we suffered in the heart of the imperial war machine. The core worlds were too highly defended to make feasible targets. My battalion suddenly found itself jumping from back water sector to back water sector. Eventually after a month of system skipping we were given our orders. We along with an entire division were to liberate the rebel sympathetic planet of Javin, the center of Imperial control in the surrounding five sectors in this small corner of the Outer Rim. If we took Javin's capital of Babusa, the Empire's position in this area of space would be untenable. From what we learned in mission briefing COM-SCAN detected the presence of heavy ion cannons encircling the city along with extensive trench works that would prevent orbital and atmospheric bombardment. To a grunt like me that's the worst news in the world. This would be an exclusively infantry and armor based operation, which only ever results in high casualties for both sides just like at Hoth. Everyone in the battalion is a survivor of Hoth, somehow managed to escape the onslaught and make it onboard a GR transport. Unlike Hoth we would not be running with state of the art AT-ATs, only what the engineers could scrounge up. Command's strategy, under the guidance of an anorexic looking Bothan general, was to simultaneously charge the defenses at key points along the fortifications. Since the Imperials would be stretched thin if they manned the entire perimeter they instead operated mainly around communication towers that networked with the entire defense network. If we took the towers out en mass the Imps would be running blind and unable to reinforce their various garrisons. From there we could press our advantage after we secured our objective. We deployed fifty clicks out from the imps and made our way through the Javin bogs, riding on top of the T2-Bs. Luck, or command, smiled on us that day. We were one of the few battalions to be assigned to a pathfinder commando squadron, who would clear the way for us. I met the shistavanen, he mentioned something about hunting Luke Skywalker's enemies, and jabbed furiously with a double tipped weapon he always carries. No blaster madman...wolf...guy. Still as we waded through waist deep marsh or hugged onto the durasteel plating of a tank, I remember worming my way through the snow on my belly to hide from an AT-ST's chin guns, hiding under the bodies of comrades. Most of us weren't coming home. Most of us forgot how hard the Imps fought. 4 ABY: Imperial Defenses Encircling Capital City "Shut those blast doors! Now! if Colonel Jerres can't hold this rabble at bay we need to scrub the mainframe of all evidence of the Skywalker fil-" "Sher'al I have your Intelligence Agent down here." *growls* "At last!" It's been a while. Recently, when I re-watched REBELS season 2, it occured to me that a) the A-wing has always been my favourite starfighter back in the days of X-wing vs TIE fighter, b) Ahsoka has been my favourite Star Wars character for some years now, and c) in season 2 my favourite Star Wars character is shown to fly my favourite Star Wars starfighter! What better excuse is there to have a go at a MOC of the REBELS-version of the A-wing, and to build it with the livery of the particular ship Ahsoka is flying in the episode which culminates in her kicking two Inquisitor-butts? This little model initially started as a MOD of the A-wing from set 75150, but as I went along, I started to ditch everything regarding the build of the fuselage and built it from scratch. The clever shooting-mechanism of the original model from the set went first in favour of mirroring the upper half of the front section of the fuselage to the bottom half, and including a retractable front landing gear. The goal was the flat and sleek profile from the show while retaining stability and using legal building technigues, as I prefer with all my MOCs. Also, using detailed renders from the finished show concepts, I set out to brick-build the livery as accurately as possible instead of resorting to stickers. In accordance with the final concept renders, I also fixed the rear part of the fuselage, especially closing the gaps between the engines and the fuselage, thereby incorporting the engines partially into the rear fuselage, as with the model from the show. Last but not least, the cockpit-interior has received much needed detail, and even more importantly, has been build with enough headroom and space behind the pilot to allow for the upcoming adult minifig-version of REBELS' Ahsoka to fit into the cockpit. Nothing fancy, but sturdy, sleek, with much less exposed studs and brick-built livery. Here's the finished, improved, completely SNOTted model:

Set 75158 (Rebels Combat Frigate) is available at Toys R Us since yesterday, and here in Germany, I even got roughly 15% off the standard retail price of 119 EUR. So I bought two for roundabout 200 EUR, which is a fair price in my opinion. But let's get right to the meat of this topic - the long awaited REBELS-version of Ahsoka in minifig form. I'm a fan of REBELS, Ahsoka has long since become my favorite Star Wars character, and I'm a fan of Lego, so what's not to love? For starters, one of the two Ahsoka minifigs I got has perfect printing - crisp, no smear, only the smost minimal hint of offset, if at all. That makes me happy. The headpiece is made from the slightly flexible, rubbery material, but it has no flash and no visible mould line. That's good. So, how well does the headpiece look as a representation of the character from the show? Much, much better than I initially suspected. The shape of the montrals (the horns) is near perfect for Ahsoka, bending back and outwards. The wavy blue stripe-pattern is done very well in my eyes, and contributes a lot to the headpiece looking right. The black outline around the red and gold print representing the tiara could be a bit more thin, but it doesn't ruin the headpiece. All in all, yes, a custom headpiece specifically for Ahsoka would be the most preferred solution, but what we get here represents the character very well in Lego-form. I wished the lightsaber handles would be metallic silver. Do these parts exist in chrome or metallic silver? If yes, I should get two! As for the lightsaber blades, these are blue, but the blue is more pastel, or crystaline than the blue lightsaber blades we know from Lego. They are pretty much the same as the lightsaber blades in the Ahsoka/Vader action figure set from Hasbro, but the plastic used is much better. So I give them a pass. The graphic designers at Lego did an excellent job at capturing Ahsoka's face and her expressions. I also like the blue eyes (as with Hera's green eyes), because they are pretty vibrant in the show, so the standard black eyes with white highlight would have looked a bit bland. Notice how crisp and white the markings in her face are, even though they are printed on a fairly dark surface. This has been accomplished by two layers of printing, as can bee seen on the angry face of the second minifigure I got where the two layers are a bit offset. In closing, this minifigure-version of Ahsoka is a very good representation of the character in Lego form. It could be better, yes, but that being said, it is a very beautiful minifig, and the complaints I have are nitpicky at best and overall I'm very happy with it. THE SIEGE OF LOTHAL As kanan jarrus seeks out for hope as the JEDI ORDER was previously destrotyed by the imperial. The imperial forces land on the planet of lothal of the out reaches of space. kanan jarrus and sabine should be taking out the local patrol to seek what the the new forces that rule galaxy after the successful mission of ORDER 66. The imperial Force have took the local village to scavenge out more jedi to hunt. kanan jarrus tries to distract the local patrol but he ends up striking his light saber and defend his self from the imperial forces....
