  1. Here is a 2-in-1 topic with 2 variant of the Scythe transport shuttle, aka the Inquisitor shuttle as seen in the Obi-Wan TV show on Disney+. Scythe Transport side-by-side by Veynom, on Flickr On the left, the MOC designed by Pixel_Dan available on Rebrickable. On the right, my recolored version of the original set (#75336) using 2 shades of grey. Scythe Transport comparison by Veynom, on Flickr What can I say about these 2 models? Like many of us, I've purchased the official set mainly for the minifigs, and not so for the spaceship. While I really liked it in the TV show, I did not like that much the Lego version of it, despites the globally positive reviews and feedback found on the internet, particularly regarding the build experience and the large interior. So I decided to start by building the Pixel_Dan model which I liked better for its proportions and size. Imperial Inquisitor Scythe Transport by Veynom, on Flickr Ultimately, it is a compact and solid model but it has only room for 1 pilot inside. However, it has a retractable landing gear, which the official model has not. Imperial Inquisitor Scythe Transport by Veynom, on Flickr Pure lines, nice design, nice-looking shape, both when landed on in flight mode, clearly an attractive model. The build experience is cool as well, particularly for the forward part. The studless wings add a good plus to the global impression. Imperial Inquisitor Scythe Transport by Veynom, on Flickr Imperial Inquisitor Scythe Transport by Veynom, on Flickr The main issue with the model is the landing gear. It fits perfectly inside and is easy to extract but it has a tendancy to close back when grounding the ship. The trick is to slightly turn the rear landing skis to prevent them to fold back in when grounding the ship. Minor issue but....still an issue. On the other side, the "2 shades of grey" counter part is clearly less sexy. (Well, I think.) Scythe Transport by Veynom, on Flickr As I only used black parts from the set to build the first Scythe transport, I was left with most of the parts of the official set. So I tried to use my own stock of grey to build a recolored version, thinking it could be "cool". Seeing the result, "cool" is not exactly the first word coming to my mind. Not liking the result, I will mostly likely dismantle it and send the parts back to the bulk. Scythe Transport by Veynom, on Flickr Still, when landing with folded wings, it is still OK-ish. But when in flight position, I really can't like it. Is it due to the original model shape ? Is it due to my recoloring? I'm still unsure but as there can be only one, I believe my choice is done and a fate is settled. What about you? Which version do you prefer? The 3rd option is still the original set, of course.

    [MOC] M12 Power Walker

I made this custom Walker for my nephew's 12th birthday (hence "M12"). It takes inspiration from the Power Miners theme (hence "Power"), set 8957. I released the .io model on Star Wars Day 2019 on Bricklink here. A backup is available on MediaFire here. Please let me know if you like it! I will post some pics of the real build soon.

    [MOC] Vader's TIE advanced x1

Dear LEGO and Star Wars enthusiasts, I'm glad to present to you my first MOC attempt, Lord Vader's personal TIE advanced, made in February. Last December, due to TFA hype, I've rediscovered my long-dozing passion for Star Wars and so/also, after more than 12 years, I restarted to build Legos. I was very disappointed, though, by TLG's 8017, and so I decided to design & build a TIE advanced, one of my favorite iconic starships, on my own. A great help came from the new cockpit parts (and sketch) from 75082 (Inquisitor's TIE advanced), which made everything simpler. Also, after discovering EB, I was able to admire many great MOCs, and certainly was influenced by many of them (moreover, discovering bricklink was quite like finding a goldmine). I've tried my best to obtain a balance among movie accuracy, playability and extreme SWOOOOOSHability. The model is in minifig scale, and even if it's quite big (with respect to 8017 and 75150), it's very lightweight. Piece count is about 500. I hope these photographs will give you a quite faithful portrait of my model, anyway I find their lack of tridimensionality disturbing. (Imgur album: http://imgur.com/a/M62yW) As regards the wings/solar panels, I tried to make them look as streamlined as possible, in contrast with the popular thick-contoured solution as seen in 9492 TIE (I was happy to see that TLG used a very similar approach in set 75150, TIE advanced + A-wing from Rebels). Rear views: Having a closer look to the central "core": i decided to use those smooth quarter-of-half-sphere pieces for the rear part of the cockpit. To recreate the gradual emergence of the central rectangle on the back, i placed small sloped pieces by its side, as you can see. (You can see that the wing/solar panel attachments are really solid. In fact the model is extremely swooshable and it won't come apart even in performing the most extreme flying maneuvers :D :D) As regards the front of the cockpit, I tried my best to give it a spherical outline: Inside of the cockpit (partially disassembled to look better inside): And finally the underside, showing the play features: laser shooters, activated by sliding with a finger on the round valve, and the engine-hyperdrive compartment with a special place to clip Vader's lightsaber. Unfortunately, i'm missing the minifigure of Lord Vader himself. When i'll get one, i'll update this post with a photo of him inside the cockpit. I hope that you will appreciate my little model, and I can't wait to receive your feedback and suggestions. :)
  4. Hi, in my opinion the official ITT set 79078 is way too small and so I decided to build my own version. Since I don't own that much bricks I built it digitally using the LDD. So here's my final design: I hope you like it :) Best Vaionaut

    TIE Interceptor v2

About a year and a half ago I posted my initial TIE Interceptor model and I pointed out a few areas that I didn't like, notably the wing pylons. I went through two more changes, each being stronger than the last but that wasn't all I was unhappy with. I ended up building a second version, totally from scratch, using Belkor's wing pylon design. New cockpit interior (hell, entirely new cockpit), new thinner wings - only two plates thick. But my absolute favourite part of my second, improved version is a functional rear viewport. Unfortunately, I am currently lacking the money to buy extra pieces for v2 so only renders for now. There are still a number of things I would like to change. I'm pretty happy with the wings, although if I find a way to keep the edge panels closed that would be great. Ramses' TIE fighters have better wing pylons where it connects, so I want to modify mine to be more similar. Cehnot made an excellent cockpit interior, so I plan on changing mine to use that. However I'm very happy with the thinner wings and functional rear cockpit. It took quite a bit of time fiddling around with plates to have a design that was strong enough throughout with the wings. Hopefully, v3 should be in full brick form.
  6. Hello, today I will show you my MOC of the Star Wars Battlefront (I and II) Laser/Beam turret (Anti-Infantry, and small damage to vehicles), used by the Republic and Separatists, Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire. There's 2 Photos of this turret: http://vignette2.wik...=20080811171358 http://vignette4.wik...=20080223032009 I made 2 designs for this turret, because I'm not Sure what is the best of my designs... 7. This weapon is another one of my favorites from the original trilogy and Star Wars: Battlefront. I was very disappointed, though, with the design included in both 75138 and 75098. It doesn't do the original cannon justice at all. Given that, I decided to try my hand at creating one, and I think it turned out really well. http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/428616 Please let me know what you think in the comments. God bless.
  8. When we heard blaster shots coming from the corridors, we knew something was going on. We, pilots, were informed by our commanding officer that a group of rebels have infiltrated our base and were trying to rescue some prisoners from the facility. We acted quickly to secure the hangar bay, first we incapacitated the rebel transport ship which was ready to flee the prisoners, than we alerted the stormtrooper corps to prepare an ambush for the rebel infiltrators. The rebels were shocked to see that their only means of escape was blocked... "It's a trap!" The rebels were caught in the crossfire between our troops. This is my entry for Episode 4, hope you like it and please feel free to comment!
  9. I joined a squad of snowtroopers on a mission to Hoth to recover Alliance intelligence from the abandoned base. However, as we wandered around the corridors, with our winter suits on, we found out that the rebel base was not as abandoned as it seemed. Our troops quickly assembled the E-web blaster cannon and wiped out much of the rebel troops. Then we proceeded to gather data and destroy equipment before more rebels arrived. We also set up the lights to illuminate the snow carved base... ...with an old 9v battery This is my entry for the Episode 3 of Sone series. I hope you enjoy it, and leave a comment.
  10. After the disgraceful events on Bespin, the star destroyer Avenger has stopped at the Hutt moon of Nar Eurbrikka, awaiting its next mission. I found this brief time perfect to drop by the Imperial Outpost on the moon, and spend the credits I earned upon my promotion in the Imperial navy. Imperial Officer: Welcome, pilot. We have heard of your brave actions on Bespin, it's a shame that the battle was lost. I also should congratulate you on your promotion. Artizan: Thanks, officer. It is a shame indeed. I am here to make some modifications on my TIE fighter. Imperial Officer: Ah, I have to tell you that we cannot do such modifications here, it is against the imperial regulations. You may, however, want to check the local junk dealers around here. I bet they have the parts you are looking for. Artizan: That will do. Toydarian: An outlander! How can I help you? Tell me what you are looking for, I have everything!! Artizan: I am looking for a hyperdrive to upgrade my TIE fighter. Toydarian: TIE fighters are not designed to carry hyperdrives, you know, but I have something special here. It is a class-2 hyperdrive, which will fit on your starfighter. I have to tell you, it is pricey. Have you got the money to pay for it? Artizan: I have enough Imperial credits. Toydarian: Credits!? Imperial credits are no good out here. I need something more real! Artizan: Look, take these credits, or I'll have your pitiful shop closed by the imperial garrison. Toydarian: Ok ok, take it easy. Credits will do fine. As the junk dealer went on to prepare the hyperdrive parts, I overheard two Rodians talking about imperials. They must have assumed I did not know Huttese, as they were not very careful with using their tongue. Rodian 1: These imperial scum make me sick, they are everywhere! They make the business go bad. Rodian 2: I agree, brother. I lent a stormtrooper some money, he said he would pay it back after he returns from a mission on Tatooine. Rodian 1: You fool, what have you done! He won't come back, I tell you, don't make any deals with the ones going to Tatooine, they are all going to perish. Rodian 2: What do you know? Rodian 1: I have an associate on Nar Shaddaa, he works for the Black Sun. He said something about a trap on Tatooine, which will devestate both Imperials and Rebels. In fact, I am going to see him today. I have to go now, I have a meeting with him in a Nar Shaddaa bar, I don't want to be late. The Toydarian returned with the parts, I paid him the money, and quickly followed the Rodian thug's ship to Nar Shaddaa. I don't know what awaits me there... (I want this freebuild to be scored, thanks for looking!)
  11. Hi guys, I finally finished my diorama: "The rebel resistance is pathetic! Their so called guards are ineffective against our stormy boys, and I don't even need to bother about these cloud cars, as the name suggests, they're nothing more than a citizen vehicle with mounted inferior guns. Hunting down these red cloud cars became a fun game for me, they can never outmaneuver my supreme TIE fighter! Still I need to go after that rebel ship, Millenium Falcon, before it flies away from the city. I can clearly see from above that Lando Calrissian, the Baron Administrator, is fighting his way out, which means Falcon is still landed somewhere..." Hope you like the diorama, please feel free to leave your comments and feedback in the topic, thanks for looking!
