1950's automobile repair shop with flat-bed tow truck - 75972 / 75953 MODs

I was inspired by set's 75972 (Dorado Showdown) and 75953 (Hogwarts Whomping Willow) to create this small town auto repair shop with flat-bed tow truck called Smokey's Garage. The building features a raised platform for cars (such as the Anglia) to roll onto and be worked on, with folding ramps to keep the broken-down vehicle in place. NOTE: The front of the building is missing sixteen of this part in dark bluish gray above the second floor windows and the side door on the first floor. Also, two of these printed 2 x 4 tiles go on the hanging sign out front of the garage. The front of the building, with the ramps lowered for receiving a broken-down car. The rear of the building folds open to allow access to the inside. The upper floor is the break room, with a rock-n-roll album on the table, and hi-fi stereo system in place to rock around the clock..... at least during business hours! Here is the album piece. The rear of the building. This truck is basically a stretched version of the hover-vehicle in the Dorado Showdown set. It is missing two light-bluish gray ones of these (used as the back of the headlights in the set) as they don't fit where they are supposed to go in the model due to a LDD glitch. I added regular-size wheels, and safety stripes to the deck, which sadly does not lower into a ramp like a real truck would... but it does just barely fit the Anglia IRL! Here is the flatbed tow truck and the '67 Anglia in real bricks, plus the two workers Charlie "Smokey" Jones (on left) and Caroline "Carol" Jones (on right). Smokey owns the garage when this picture is taken (It's 1969 in-universe) and does the heavy diesel work and home cooking, while his wife Caroline does the gasoline engines and book keeping. They have a daughter, named Josephine Jones (nicknamed "Jo" and isn't present here) who is in training at trade-school to become a mechanic. She will shortly join the family business in 1970, and takeover from diesels when Smokey dies in 1976. Carol stays on until 1983, when she retires to work on restoring a Ford Model A as a pet project. Jo renames the business "Jo's Garage" in 1985 after moving to a new location (seen in set 10264, Corner Garage) in the downtown area when the older building became too outdated and small. She continues to run the garage today, even bringing her son Franklin into the family trade as of 1997.. NOTES: I just bought the Dorado Showdown when it was $18 (US) from Amazon and then I went and subtracted all the parts I could find for this project in my own parts bins from the BrickLink file. The truck and Anglia themselves are finished already without ordering anything, and the building is down 200+ bricks from when I started looking for parts... still need to order around 520 more. [MOC] Scania XT with Palfinger Crane 1:15

Hello After long time I present my new creation Scania XT truck with Palfinger crane in scale 1:15. I start this project almost 2 years ago. Truck is remote controlled by PS4 controller (2 Sbricks). RC functions: -PF Servo motor-steering, -PF XL Motor- drive, -PF L Motor-Gearbox and middle differential lock/unlock, -PF L Motor- Crane rotacion or middle outrigger leg, -2x PF M Motor-Crane And many other manual functions. Crane lenght 70cm. Modular build. Each segment work independently. Crane and chassis need only batterybox. In cabin are no PF elements. [MOC] 6x4 PF Dump Truck

I present my latest MOC, a 6x4 Dump Truck: Click pictures for highres, or visit the BrickSafe folder if you want to It is based off of the chassis I made for my 8x4 Recovery Truck last year, but obviously has lost an axle, and been adopted for remote control with Power Functions. It features: -Drive with two XL-motors -Steering with Servo-motor -Independent suspension on front axle -Live axle suspension on rear axles -Dumpable bed with one M-motor and two LAs -Openable cabin -Openable doors -V6 engine driven from both rear axles, via a lockavle central differential -PF LEDs up front -PF LED reversing lights I found a sloution to steer the rear axle, using a turntable and a linkage to the servo motor, combined with pendular suspension, but it had too much slack, and wobbled all over the place, so I ditched it. I also made a mechanism to lift and lock the rearmost axle, but that to turned out less than satisfactory, so I ditched that as well Pictures! There you can see the red lever above the XL-motor, that engages the central diff The bed is quite spacious I was unsure if the M-motor would be sufficient to tip the bed, but it turned out very well, and it has no problem, even with some load! Close up of the tipping LAs. The driving rinf you can see above the rearmost axle is from the locking mechanism I tried to make, that didn't work. I then forgot to take it out Here the cabin is tilted forward. The battery box is held in a solid structure behind the cabin, as you can see. The servo for steering is placed vertically just below the battery box. Close-up of the V6 engine, including "twin turbochargers" The side panels taken off the battery box compartment, shows the wiring and placement of the servo At the front of the bed, we have a spare wheel, and some tools ...for when you need to change a tyre (obviously) The rear axles with left wheels removed for better view. You can also see where the tipping LAs are attached And of course, the under belly shot An LDD representation of the drive line. Green is where the power from the two XLs come from, purple is the axle to the engine, cyan and orange are axles 2 and 3 respectively. All in all I am pretty pleased with the result, as I've been wanting to build this for a long time! Hope to make a video of it in the not too distant future! I will also perfect the LDD model, make it available for those who want it, and post it on rebrickable. I might even make instructions for it, if I fin the time, and can get LDraw to work again -
[MOC] Logging Truck

Hello everybody, I present to you another "ancient" MOC of mine - built in May 2016 and only now I finally managed to make a presentation of it - The Logging Truck: At first it was supposed to be a Trial Truck, but as it grew to heavy, especially due to "model team-ish" cabin, I decided to make it more easy going. It doesn't represent any particular model, nor is it scaled or anything... It's driven by a PF XL motor and steered by a PF M motor. It has full suspension, detailed cabin interior and engine compartment. Oh, and I have to admit it is heavilly inspired by Ingmar Spijkhoven's work (2LegoOrNot2Lego). I'll let the photos do the talking... The position of the trailer trolley can be adjusted between the two yellow stops - the main beam slides through the trolley and is held in place by springs and rubber 2L connectors. While the truck is fully suspended, the trailer uses a kind of pendular linkage between both axles. The cabin has detailed interior... ...and so does the engine bay - totaly imaginatory - without any knowledge or research of the real truck engines . I guess under skirt shot is in order... I really like how the front axle turned out, the ackermann is almost to much. Here's another pair of photos to finish it off and a short video of course... I hope you like it and thanks for comment. Hello, It is my own Hybrid Truck creation, which is called hybrid because it combines standard LEGO elements with a DUPLO car base. It is built from my kids' sets, and I tried to combine these elements just for fun, but I was very satisfied with the result. It is a studless, conventional cab tractor with a car trailer for Speed Champions size cars, but other type of trailers could be used too. It can be combined with my other MOC "Hypercar concept 1". 1950's Rust-eze modular factory with boxcars and semi-truck - real life MOC's

Introducing the Rust-eze factory, which is where they make the rust remover / chrome restorer product Inspired by / not quite the same as the one seen in the CARS & PLANES shared universe from Disney / Pixar . I have set this building in my transition-era layout, which means the 40's through the mid-1980's, as the steam / diesel mix era continued longer on my alt-timeline. Their is a small 0-6-0ST switcher that services the factory as seen above and here in it's own topic. The factory without the train in front. The rear of the factory, with the ladder to the top of the chimney flue. The detachable roof can be removed, however I never really finished the inside part, and probably never will as I haven't a clue what to put in there machinery-wise. The loading doors do open, and were modified from the original arched doors as they couldn't fit a forklift... then again, these doors might not either! I was inspired by this photo by JB Lego to build these boxcars as seen here. They are made to haul pallets of cargo, specifically Rust-eze chrome restorer in 55-gallon drum containers for commercial packaging at another facility into smaller containers. This model was heavily inspired by set 8486, (Mack's Team Truck) from 2011. I changed the model to seat one mini figure at the wheel, added new headlights and license plate plus revised the fenders and enlarged the cab. The rear of the semi features a opening door and fold-down trailer stand, while the cab has two moving driver's doors. The trailer no longer has opening sides, but it does have two opening rear doors and folding stand for when the cab pulls away. Speaking of the cab, the roof of the driver's compartment comes off and both doors open. I hoped this factory would be of some use for some people, as the original always has been gathering dust in the basement since it was built, as seen below: This is the original factory that was by my Dad around the years 2000 - 2004. it was built with parts from several Sand Red supplemental packs available at that time. It does not feature any interior, nor does it have a removable roof. But this thing is built STRONG: you have to really put your weight on it to press the roof together. [MOC] Truck with inner loader

Hi everyone, This is a new project I am/was working on. I build an trailer capable to load high objects. For now it’s finished but I am not that pleased with the looks. In Dutch it’s called a “Binnenlader” as far as I know in English it “Innerloader”. It’s used to transport high objects like prefabbed walls. Some transporters use this kind of trailer to have 2 loading floors (Double Deck Trailers). The bottom of the trailer is very low to the ground. The trailer can be loaded by crane but it is also possible to load a carrier that can be load- and unloaded by the trailer. The carrier can be separated from the trailer. This is done by lowering the trailer, open the tailgate, and drive forward leaving the carrier standing. by My model automatically opens and closes the back door when the trailer is moving down or upwards. Don’t think is done with a real trailer but I wanted to make it remote controlled with as less motors possible. I was able to only use 1 motor. Hi, I would like to share my minifig-scaled remote controlled truck. It's completely made of LEGO parts and features not only driving and steering, but also working head- and rearlights (trailer only). The driving motor is a PF medium one, located at the back of the trailer but actually powering one of the truck's rear wheels. The other wheel can rotate free, therefore creating a "differential gear" effect, allowing very narrow turn circles. Steering is done by 9V micro motor, sitting at the back of the driver. Battery box and PF receiver are placed in the trailer. There is also a short video of it "in action" on my flickr page. best regards, cubo

Presenting another trial truck - 4x4 - PF: XL, Servo, IR, LiPo - Leaf spring front suspension - Double soft shock rear suspension - Panhar rods for both axles - Opening hood - Removable body. Prepared it for the Trial contest in Moscow, but couldn't come there, then participated in the Truck Trial competition in St. Petersburg. You can watch the performance here: Time: 13:41 and 54:33. -
Introducing... The Legacy Black Cat Truck! Celebrating 20 Years of the greatest Model Team vehicle ever made! Based on the original 1996 version with a lot of cosmetic changes! Looking very nice with chromed parts! Opening Sunroofs, upgraded to 2010s standards! Shovel, Fire Extinguisher & Toolbox So far, looking almost up to 2010s standards, including the tools! Dual Wheels! Even the cross-member behind the wheels is 2010s standard! Awesome new rear lights! 5th Wheel with locking bar! Everything below looks rounder than before! How I designed the Fuel Tank! Yes, I used the new 1x2 bottom curved pieces! Chrome Galore! Sleeping Compartment Yellow Diesel Engine, just like Caterpillar's engines! (because blue is childish and I wanted it to look more appealing to teens!) Cabin now up to 2010s standards so far! Seats now upgraded with curved headrests! Feeling hungry enough for pizza already? The Toytoa HiAce van is popular in Asia . You can see it all over on streets. The front doors, slide doors and the back door can be opened. [MOC] Truck with Lift Gate

Hi guys! Awesome that you want to see my new MOC . It's a Truck with Tail Gate. This truck has a lift gate which works like a real one. The lift gate works with 3 small actuators and the max. weight is 200 grams. That's not much but for Lego parts it's enough. If the load is more than 200 grams, the connection between the middle actuator and the bed falls apart . The truck drives with a L motor and steers with a servo. The 3 actuators are powerered by 2 M motors (1 for highering and lowering and 1 for tilting the bed). Here are some photos and a video. Thanks for watching! Hi, I've built a stupid simple truck. As you might have guessed already, it is largely inspired by iconic Soviet-Russian truck Ural. Driven by two L-motors and steered by a servo, it doesn't have any other motorized functions. The fifth wheel rotates in 2 dimensions and has a simple locking mechanism as seen in a recent 42078 set. However, I doubt it will function properly due to natural tendency to lean backwards under the towing force. Overall, this project is a failure. The initial goal was to built a 6x6 truck with differentials and none-ball-joints suspension. Although the goal was achieved, the front axle turned out to be a complete disaster. First, I had to swap a 6-link for a rather awkward system in order to make the front wheels steer for at least a bit . Second, this truck can't overcome even a tiny obstacle, cause the driving gear in the front begins crackle hysterically. This happens because I don't have the new 6145859 wheel bearing parts, so in order to fit the steering bar with the old ones I had to elevate the axle center 1 stud above the 5x7 frame. And the result simply do not sturdy enough to hold the affecting forces. However, I'm going to figure out a better design later in LDCad. Hopefully this MOC will mark my return to regular building, so I'm looking forward for your comments.

Hello all you Lego fiends. Today I'd like to share my latest creation. A 1950's style pickup truck. Complete with junk in the back! This thing has been in the making for a very long time. I build slow....... I'm usually mostly over in the Technic forum. But I have really enjoyed just building with 'system' bricks. Anyway, without anymore rambles, here's the pictures. The MRAP Cougar JERRV 6x6 is a vehicle which incorporated the latest US-made automotives, a new hull design and structure, as well as built-in growth potential, including dimensions that allowed for the addition of the latest armor and protection systems. JERRV stand for Joint EOD Rapid Response Vehicle or Joint Engineering Rapid Response Vehicle, while MRAP stand for Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected. This vehicle, therefore, combines the best that the two programs provide. The result is a versatile, robust vehicle, suitable for every situation. Some feature are a vertical hull side to increase internal volume, a full-length bottom plate to increase strength and to provide blast and ballistic protection for the engine, full US-specification engine, cooling, power-train etc., sufficient payload to provide ballistic-protection upgrades and so on. Ergonomics were based upon first-world standards as were protection levels and automotive specifications.
