I designed the US Supreme Court in the style of the Architecture Landmark series! Since the building is actually quite long in its depth, I took inspiration from the overall approach of the official Trafalgar Square set. The rear side of the building also features a super micro version of the famous courtroom! Let me know what you think!

I decided to give a try to build my own version of the Razor Crest during the quarantine, but using my own bricks. Due to limited availability it had to be a micro version, but I'm happy how it turned out. I tried to incorporate some play features as well (doors open, kind of landing gear, "interior" or at least hollow space) and keep it as smooth as possible. I'm proud of the sloped cabin, the most difficult part by far. I hope you liked it. Regards, PaulPrime

Hello! A year and a half ago, I saw somewhere on Flickr a building assembled on something like that. The idea came up to assemble an entire city from such buildings. At first standart basis were used, then doubled and quadruplet, and sometimes more. During this time two cities were built. I will share renders for those who are intrested. I designed Neuschwanstein Castle in the style of the LEGO Architecture series, and it contains about 1,276 pieces. This world famous castle is located in southern Bavaria and was built by Ludwig II (aka "The Mad King"). This Romanesque castle served as key inspiration for Walt Disney's own Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella Castles. Let me know what you think! After the Oleon's King's decret to create the Hospital, all the Halosian powers, have established through time, their own medical structures. With the rapid expansion of naval trading and exploration, new diseases and affliction appeared. Some pioneers studied them, with their lots of success and tragic consequences, but always making progress. Now a new medicine branch is going to be established, the Royal Society of Natural Philosophy is proud to present to you... The Naval Medicine School and Hospital of Alexport. The doctor Thaum, head of the School, present a disputatio room ready to welcome students. The doctor also present a naval medicine case he developed during his travels. Some of the medical tools were developed in situ by the doctor with the means at hand. A large property on Prio for the RSNP (the property is free as I won it after the Pilot Cup Challenge) C&C Welcome, more pics on demand (of the school, the case, etc) At the goodwill of @Bregir or @Ayrlego for licencing and declaring the build (as the RSNP is not Sea Rat, I'm a little bit puzzled for the declaration) -

A long, long time ago I started working on a micro scale Millennium Falcon. To begin with all I wanted to do was add detail to the Microfighter but I kept tinkering and before I knew it I had a growing collection of micro Star Wars freighters and fighters, and here they are! Instructions for all these little builds are on my Rebrickable page. Since this all started with that Falcon Microfighter the cockpit piece (a light blueish-grey 2x2 truncated cone) became my yardstick for scale. Luckily trans-black 1x1 slope pieces work as fighter cockpits at the same scale so all the ships are, and will continue to be, as close to scale with each other as I can manage, at least based on these pieces and whatever reference images I can gather from Google. My Blockade Runner (April 2021) is the last ship on my micro Star Wars to-do list, although it’s hardly micro! The size and weight were a new challenge for me, I’ve never had to worry about a moc falling apart under its own weight before, but I enjoyed the challenge and managed to make it pretty easy to pick strong. I’ve put together instructions for the Tantive IV as well as the Liberator from Star Wars Rebels, which I couldn’t resist building for myself. Rather than doing new posts for each new ship I’ll edit the very long post below. All the instructions are on my Rebrickable page and there are photos and Studio renders some photos of the ships in this post, plus a few more on Flickr and Instagram. Thanks for looking!

“She may not look like much but she’s got it where it counts, kid.” Instructions are available over at Rebrickable I’ve been working on this Micro Millennium Falcon for about three years now, in that time she’s evolved from a simple modified Microfighter into a chunky little micro build. I wanted to get the proportions as accurate as possible but couldn’t resist throwing in an interior. I tried to incorporate as many of the Falcon’s distinguishing features as I could, like the exterior holes, coloured panels and vents, interior layout and most importantly the Dejarik table (I always let that Wookiee win). I built it so that both halves are studs-out and there is as much detail on the underneath of the hull as there is on top. The upper and lower hull sections interlock in a complicated way and are held together by the side docking rings. The sandwiching adds a surprising amount of strength to the the weaker areas of the upper half as well as adding a fun challenge mid way through the build, there’s no room for mistakes or wonky 1x1 plates! This MOC is a final update to the Micro Falcon I posted earlier in the year, it still looks similar but has a much stronger structure and some improved cosmetic details in a ridiculous attempt at movie accuracy. My biggest sticking point over the year was coming up with of a better way to represent the tunnel. The 2x2 round-topped brick only ever fit at a 45 degree angle (not quite right for the ship) and because of this the cockpit was too far forward. In the end I just gave up and replaced it with some wedge plates which I think look good enough and if nothing else help to improve the strength in that corner. And this is one of the many dirty render and research collages I’ve stared at thoughtfully and scribble illegible notes on. So that’s my Micro Falcon done and dusted. It’s been a fun project and I’ve learned a lot about putting together Stud.io instructions along the way. I hope you get as much joy from this little Falcon as I have from working on it. Now, Chewie, punch it!

[MOC] Micro Resistance and Rebel Starfighters + Micro U-Wing (with instructions)

Hi everyone, About a year ago I was inspired by @obijon’s amazing and very extensive collection of micro builds to start working on my own micro versions of my favourite Star Wars ships. I think I have enough of them now to get all cocky (what’s that Han?) and start sharing instructions on Rebrickable so here’s the first wave, the Rebel Starfighters. Update: I’ve thrown together some Resistance variants too! The X-Wing, A-Wing and B-Wing are fairly solid little builds, at this scale one-stud connections are inevitable but luckily these are still kind of swooshable, as long as you’re careful! The A-Wing is my favourite, I went through so many real and Stud.io prototypes trying to get the shape, fins and connections right that I’m so pleased I finally ended up with a strong and recognisable build. The Y-Wing is the most fragile of the group, it’s almost all one-stud connections, particularly to the centre of the hull, so unfortunately it’s only suitable for display. I’m aiming to build several of each fighter as part of a micro Rebel hangar display and with that in mind I tried to stay away from rare/expensive parts. Having said that I couldn’t resist using the skate helmets on the Y-Wing and my liberal use of those little curved slopes with notches pushes the cost up a bit too. Oh well, you can’t build a rebellion on peanuts! Back in the spring my first attempt at making instructions in Stud.io was actually this U-Wing. I managed to build the rear of the ship so that the wings fold out but there are so many weak connections that it means the wings are very fragile. I also have to admit that I cheated when connecting the engines, to keep those wheel pieces in place I wrapped a layer of tape around the internal 3L bars and pushed the wheels on. I’m still on the hunt for a better (and legal) solution and I’m open to suggestions! Update: I’ve just finished a few Resistance variants of the Starfighters, almost in time for The Rise of Skywalker. The B-Wing involved a lot of guesswork as it’s only very briefly seen in the film and trailers, but it was the same with the old B-Wing and Return of The Jedi so I suppose it’s a Star Wars tradition that’s been upheld. Overall I’m really pleased with how all these little ships have turned out and especially how they look together as a group. I’ll share more micro starfighter instructions (the next is the Millennium Falcon) when I can and if we get a good look at the new B-Wing in TRoS I’ll be able to finish the Resistance version of the starfighter group too. For the last month I have been designing skylines for the three "The Lord of the Rings" movies/books! "The Fellowship of the Ring" features the Shire, Bree, Weathertop, Ford of Bruinen, Rivendell, Moria (behind Rivendell), the Doors of Durin, and the Gates of Argonath. Moria is hidden behind Rivendell :) "The Two Towers" features Edoras (with the Golden Hall), Fangorn Forest (with micro Ents), Isengard (with Orthanc), the Dead Marshes, and Helm's Deep. Helm's Deep has a play feature built it that allows you to launch part of the fortified wall into the air to reenact the explosion. Here is a view looking down over the Dead Marshes: "The Return of the King" features Minas Tirith, The Black Gate, Barad-dur, the Tower of Cirith Ungol (with hidden Shelob on the back), and Mount Doom. Mount Doom's tiny play feature allows you to drop the ring into the top and it will come out the backside. And here is a view of all three of them lined up together. I hope this is the right forum to post this :) Recently I got challenged by my friend Felix to build a micro-scale steam locomotive. I have never tried building anything like this but I gotta say I was surprised how much fun it can be. The new pieces definitely open the whole another world of possibilities when it comes to tiny builds like this. And I am really quite pleased with the result :) If you want to build your own, I put together building instructions which you can get for free on Rebrickable!

I received a lot of positive feedback on my "A New Hope" skyline, so here is the next installment: "The Empire Strikes Back." [IDEA] Micro Working Fake Engine

Hello there! Even though TLC finally stepped out of using big blocky engines, the newest rendition of fake engines isn't very good. Mostly due to the ugly long brown axles and big "crankshaft". Now, it is possible to use the ovaloid-shaped liftarms as the crankshaft with 2l axles and half-bushes, but the entire assembly still occupies a lot of vertical space, specially the Ø3L crankshaft. Now, making something smaller with Technic pieces wasn't possible, so I resorted to System parts. 1x1 plates with 1x1 round plates were the solution looked for. Even though the "pistons" don't have much vertical movement, the engine still sounds great and both inline and v-shape setups can be made, theorically with infinite cylinders as the crankshaft isn't limited by maximum Technic axle length but by how many 1x1 plates can be stacked together. Advantages: Small volume - 3 studs vertical by 2 studs width Little extra space required - approximately quarter of a stud around the crankshaft (Technic axles can be placed alongside it) Produces sound as well as other fake engines V-shape or Inline engines possible Disadvantages: small vertical piston travel Crankshaft doesn't use Technic pieces so can be difficult to correctly space (stacked plates height vs Technic stud width) and might break if too long or abused too much Here's a video showing both setups and sound (e-motor is very quiet so the engine can be heard) -

From left to right: Oldtown, King's Landing, Highgarden, Casterly Rock, Riverrun, the Eyrie, and Winterfell. I wanted to do a Lego Architecture Skyline of the seats of powers of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. Unfortunately, not all of them have been seen in the show. So Oldtown subbed in for Sunspear and King's Landing subbed in for Storm's End. After reviewing the entire build, I streamlined the parts usage to be more affordable and created instructions, which can be accessed here for anyone who might be interested. Celebrate the historic neoclassic home of one of America’s most famous Founding Fathers, Thomas Jefferson! Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello home began construction in 1768, when he was only 26 years old. America’s third president was never fully satisfied with his design, and the house was continually redesigned throughout his lifetime - not so unlike Lego fanatics constantly reworking their own builds. This microscale Monticello has been meticulously and faithfully rendered to capture the unmistakable appearance of the iconic building, known to all Americans as “that building on the back of the nickel coin.” The 930-piece set would appeal to lovers of Lego’s Architecture series, and would also contain highly sought after dark red pieces that have never before been produced. The design could also be scaled down to remove the some of the landscaping (the house by itself contains under 650 pieces).
