I remember how was fun and addicting to play LEGO Universe when it came out more than 10 years ago. I still think it's the best LEGO game ever, basically you can do everything you wanna do! Sadly after a while they closed... and It was so bad 😢 Some years ago discovered that it's still possible to play it! Even with friends!! Now I'm also able to add custom items and do more things I couldn't do in live... 😄 I'm so sorry if only today came in mind to share this possibility here!

As @Grover gave the idea, before I continue the next backstory, I should tell more about my trees with red leaves. Avalonia is full of mystery and secrets, and there are so many myths and legends about this region, there are many theories, about this type of trees. Let's stick to this one: The story of Redhgar, the Red Druid. Like the other druids, Redhgar helped shape Avalonia. In this era, most of the plants get their look, thanks to the druids. But at old age, Redhgar had a stroke. He recovered, and he was able to help the orhers furthermore. But. He didn't recovered fully. Now he had partial colorblindness, he mixed some of the colors, but mostly ghe red and green. He didn't understand, why the otheres coloring the leaves to red, and he tired to correct it. The others first, tired to warn him, about his wrongdoing, but he was also a stubborn old man. Later, they try to correct it, but they become tired of this, and leave it. "No one will ever comply about why have some trees reddish leaves..." This is how they encourage each other. Many centuries later, looks like only the trees are still here, the other plants lost this gene. They become rare, but in every tree's genes, there is a chance, to have red leaves. Imagine this like the blond hair gene.

Hi all,We're back again to show you another old MOC, the Prater Ferris Wheel. The ferris wheel is built on the mechanism of the #4957 LEGO set and the style is that of the Prater in Wien, while the café and the park are invented. The work consists of about 8000 LEGO bricks (80 minifigures included). You can notice plenty of details, including people taking a selfie, fallen leaves, frightened people escaping from the park, jogging guys, pretty girls, elegant couples waiting for their high-class wagon, men at work, plants, bike raks and so on. Here are some photos; you can find more on our Flickr profile. Thanks for visiting! FBros

Hello everyone! :) This is a project begun in 2016, freely inspired by an athletics track in the north of Italy. It's populated by friends and people - some of them are ordinary, others are so odd - that used to train or work there. As now, the MOC is in a minifig scale. The track combines bricks in different orientations and some techniques (e.g. the numbers before the finish line) to make it detailed and realistic as much as possible. It's also modular to make it easy to transport and, above all, easy to continue. The current version consists of about 3700 bricks, but we're already designing the curved section. We hope this MOC can interest you and, in case you like it, keep updated following us on Flickr! FBros

[Lester] Lesters Cliff Top Copter
Hammerstein NWC posted a topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Letters Cliff-Top copter is great for scouting out routes through the jungle or flying short distances across lakes or foothills. His toolbox has everything he needs including a nice selection of sandwiches! Lester has stopped here to enjoy the view from above a valley and perform some routine maintenance. -
Hi all. This is my first time posting in the town forum. I just wanted to share a MOC I built for our local Lego show "BrickExpo" in late July 2016, which I only recently had the chance to photograph properly when it was part of a recent LUG collaborative display at the Bricks at Woden School show, and then again when I set it up at home a week or so back. I wanted to build a formal park that was in scale with the Modular buildings, with the aim of having a larger display piece that could be used in the LUG's collaborative layouts. I had already prototyped corner and side modules when LEGO announced the Fun in the Park set, and that set inspired me to proceed with it. So over the course of several months in early 2016 I built all the rest of the park modules. I realised later on in the build that I needed to provide wheelchair access for the new fig, so I turned a side entrance into a ramp and made it the focus of an "opening" scene for the new access ramp. I bought the Fun in the Park set on day one of release and had an entertaining time posing figures (I did use all of them from the set, but one is out of sight on the far side), and thought up a few more minifig scenes as well. The Park also gave me the chance to try some different techniques, especially with the trees, which I made from techniques I saw online and with some variations of my own. Jokingly I refer to it as "UCS Fun in the Park". In the following two overview shots taken at the show, one LUG member built the brick-built roads, and another built the multi-coloured row of town houses in the back. Various members contributed sets etc. Overview 1 Modular City Park Overview 1 by Magma Xenoliths, on Flickr Overview 2 Modular City Park Overview 2 by Magma Xenoliths, on Flickr The Opening of the access ramp Modular City Park 3 by Magma Xenoliths, on Flickr Close up of the Statue end of the Park - a tribute to our founders Modular City Park 4 by Magma Xenoliths, on Flickr I guess I am a romantic at heart... Arr mateys, it is Talk Like A Pirate Day 2017! It seems even Batman is taking to the Seven Seas, to plunder and drink rum: Batman in full pirate regalia, aboard his trusted "Black Bat". Who needs more than one sail? Who needs cannons? He's Batman! It is a rather simple construction, aye. Loot is aplenty, and you need some room for your batarangs. So celebrate todays most piratey holiday, and may your rum bottle go never dry!

Sometimes, you have annoying things on a birthday party and with this MOC, I tried to solve at least one of them... For higher-quality images, click http://www.brickshel...ry.cgi?f=565441 (The first day, it's never public, which is strange) [edit]: MocPages link: http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/431271 for better quality images.. The video explains all trouble and how I solved it: -
Thought I'd start a "fun" topic. What is your favourite film(s)? My personal favourite is the 1968 Planet of the Apes - classic film, have seen it close to 6 times now. Love the story, the twist, the Charlton Heston-ing. Bravo to my favourite character of all time... DR. ZAIUS!

Location: Mynderis – A04 Tags: Kawashita, Science, Fun Ship Log – 27 Junali 3815 Received a missive from headquarters. I am to survey Mynderis for potential Awesomnium veins. And also, maybe, potentially, quite covertly to scout out M.A.N.T.I.S. positions. Misson Log – 29 Junali 3815 Today I saw something amazing. An actual river of fire. I kid you not, a river of fire! I cannot let this opportunity pass. Mission Log – 02 Augustali 3815 The Roaster is complete, tomorrow will be the most critical. Mission Log – 03 Augustali 3815 The mission was a great success! The Roaster was successfully able to handle the heat of the river of fire. I ate some delicious roasted marshmallows. A clear win for everybody. Mission Log – 03 Augustali 3815 – addendum I will clearly use the Roaster again, so I commit the specs to the computer.

Hey everyone. I've submitted a design on Threadless with a Lego minifig with its head attached to its leg, with the text saying 'This...is NOT funny'. I will be the happiest man on the planet if you have time to go vote for my design. Threadless will each week review the submitted designs and pick the favorites among the community. This will give me the chance to earn some money, and you could end up wearing my print. So go visit https://www.threadle...gns/exasperated and you will become...awesome. (You will have to log in before you can give a score, but you can easily do that with your facebook account.) And remember to spread the word. From the bottom of my heart... Thank you.

These two rovers were a lot of fun to build. I don't build sci-fi a lot, so this was a nice change from Castle. The little rover was especially interesting, as I used pretty much only grey for it, which limited my part selection. The larger rover (the LG-2) has working steering, 'suspension,' and opening tailgates; while the smaller (CS-0) has a neat sample gatherer, moveable radar dish, and hinges between each section of the vehicle. More pictures here: http://www.brickbuilt.org/?p=1982 C&C welcome

Hey Guys! Everyone has that one story where they find a set for a great price! This is the place to share it! I love to hear stories like these as it also brings up what sites so others may be able to find deals there too! It can be anywhere from when you were a child to present, 60's, 70's, etc. I will start! I bought an MISB 4533 (9v Era Snow plow) off ebay for about $35 this year, the cheapest I have seen them was $45 dollars. Saved me $10 (Hopefully a good investment) Sealed 4533 by Railco1, on Flickr Also on ebay I got an MISB 4541 Road and Rail, for $40 the cheapest I have seen being sold is $65, savings of $25! Sealed 4541 by Railco1, on Flickr I cannot wait to hear everyone's stories. This is meant to be fun and an enjoyable thread. Enjoy! -RailCo [Moderators! this is meant to be an on going topic so if people post on it a year late, that should be okay]
