  1. So my friend Eric built a 24 Hours of LeMons race van from a 91 VW Vanagon and a 2.5 subaru legacy motor. I helped out with making the Polizei decals but overall it was a sweet deal for me because all I really had to do was show up and drive. It was my first LeMons race and my first time on a track in an actual road race, and it was FUN. If you haven't heard of the series, check it out here... http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/ Our van even got some great press on roadkill.com... http://www.roadkill.com/lemons-sears-pointless-vans/ http://www.roadkill.com/sears-point-lemons-winners/ Anyway, my friend spent a lot of money and hours building this awesome van so I wanted to do something nice to thank him for his hard work so I made him a LEGO version of our van to say thanks. Obviously this box is just a mock up, but I did make these designs into an actual box using a LEGO box I turned inside out and covered with some large photo prints from my 13x19 printer...I just forgot to take a picture of it before giving it to him. Since I knew he'd appreciate building it, I made the van into a kit with instructions made from photos since making actual quality instructions is a huge pain in the megablocks... http://odometer.org/polizei/ I really like the minifig fez as an aircleaner... Overall I'm super happy with how it came out, it was my first attempt at a larger vehicle and I think it worked out well. I did cheat a bit with the black decals to make a wider grill, but I figured if TLG can use a sticker for the middle divider on the split window of their VW bus, then I can get away with that. Here's some pics of the real van in action...

    REVAMP: Onua, Uniter of Earth

Onua, Uniter of Earth Here’s my take on 71309 Onua, Uniter of Earth! Sporting a Technic-heavy upper body build, my version of the gentle giant accommodates the wide chestplate from his 2015 edition (70789 Onua, Master of Earth), and upper back panels which open out to provide room for 2016’s “Unity” function (demonstrated here with the lovely 71304 Terak, Creature of Earth). I love doing larger models like this, so expect more in future! Front Back Front, Unarmed Pose, Flaunting strength Back Panels, Opened and Closed Pose, United with Terak, Creature of Earth Skeleton, Chest and shoulders Skeleton, Back and shoulders
  3. Hello. This is my first MOC I've uploaded, but I've made many. :) So this is my RC, 6wd, LEGO Mindstorms NXT Log Skidder. For It I have one motor for driving the 6 wheels, another for steering, the last motor for lifting up the logs, and then a manually operated claw. EDIT 1, 16/5/01: I only have about 5-6 hundred LEGO Technic pieces so forgive me for any styling, look issues. :) Here are some pics (Click here for the full resolution images). A pic highlighting the re-designed log pulling arm (it can swivel around 360 now) A close the actual grabbing part of the log pulling arm. a closeup on the re-designed cabin. A picture highlighting the gullwing doors on the cabin. A picture highlighting the fact that the cabing tips up, and showing some of the (fake) machinery in the log skidder underneath the cabin. Another picture highlighting the titlting cabin, and showing some of the (fake) machinery in the log skidder underneath the cabin. A back view the the Log Skidder and the "engine" (NXT brick). A picture showing the whole model. One last picture showing the whole model.
  4. Hi everyone, I am always looking to broaden my range of Architecture styles that I try my hand at, so this time its mid-century modern. This was a good way of incorporating some interior ideas I had without building a huge exterior building to house it. I've went with a understated colour palette, and simple but varied textures which are found in many a lobby of civic buildings built around this time. A few features such as the large simple wallclock, sloping windows and planters were all a common site in all the reference material I could find. The bar overhang(er) was a personal touch. It's another bar but this time within an Airport lounge. Anyway on with the pics, 5 in all; You can view them on my flickr stream here if you prefer: https://www.flickr.c...s/52656812@N04/ Comments welcome! Bon voyage!

    [MOC] A little red barn

Hi all! Ive long admired all of your amazing MOC work on this forum, but we've all go to start somewhere ... this is the beginning :-) I wanted to share with you my latest creation - a little red barn. I was inspired by the Series 15 CMF - Farmer w/ pig, because I needed a place for all of the pigs I was amassing. This barn has the traditional roof shape, red exterior, sliding barn doors, and is completed by a small barnyard and chicken coop out back for the animals. All positive feedback constructive criticism, or tips for next time are welcome. More pictures in my Flickr album, if interested As a side note -- how do people get images in the post? I'd prefer to embed from outside host, so I don't have re-size them all to make them fit, but that seems to be the only option?

    [MOC] New Century Corner

The New Century Corner, a display of five modular houses inspired by early 1900s architecture which I love. This was built for a LUG collaborative modular town in Model Expo 2016 that took place couple of weeks ago. From left to right: House of Two Whistling Geezers, House of Two Sisters, House of the Bat-Lord and Three Sinners, The House of Secret Society of Aviation, The House of Golden Frogs. The houses were built by first tablescrapping some interesting bits and the creating the rest of the building around them. That's what I usually do, anyway. The first of the houses (Two Sisters) was built in last November and the last (Bat-lord and sinners) was finished couple of week before the event. I might expand this to a whole block in the future, with four corner modulars and several houses between them. More pictures and talk on the blog.

  8. EDIT: Building Instructions Available: HERE ________ I’m a big fan of Japanese cars, mostly because of its reliability. In the city I live in, there is a car factory which manufactures some models of Toyota and Mazda cars for the Chinese market. Among them is the Mazda 6 Atenza, the latest model of Mazda 6 series. (via Internet) I like this car a lot. A family sedan beautifully shaped like a supercar. Also you can choose hatchback or wagon configuration, but you don’t see a two-door race car model in this series. So I decided to build one out of LEGO. After a long winter, now I present you my latest MOC: A Mazda Race Car with SBrick. This project started with this iconic front grille. I don’t have a concept of the overall scale for this MOC, everything was decided by the scale of the grille. Ironically, I didn’t realize part 32192 in LBG is rare until the prototype is finished in LDD, and I don’t have a single one of it. Finally got my hands on it after quite a long time. Let’s have a look at a video first. (4K @ 30 FPS, watching in full screen is recommended) Weight: 1130g Dimensions: 350mm (L) x 160mm (W) x 127mm (H) Parts count: 1390 pcs Working headlights / taillights Servo motor cable has to go between the two seats due to length concerns, otherwise I can put more details in that area. A tiny fake engine for a tiny space. I must say I’m not a big fan of soft axles and I don’t use them too much. But they look great when used to shape wheel arches. The car is heavy towards the back, so rear suspension looks kind of weird. It gets the job done, though. Drivetrain is quite simple. Also you could find some inspirations from Madoca’s Supercar and Corvette. More photos: Building instructions is on the way. It will be available very soon. SBrick can be easily replaced by PF IR receiver. Enjoy and stay tuned!
  9. Last week, I've finished my new scale model: It's a John Deere 75G excavator. I've chosen built it in in the Model Team style. The chassis and boom were the easiest part of the excavator. The cabin and rest of the upper part were challenging. It was a nice challenge to get the excavator in the correct shape. It took four month’s to complete the excavator with display. The 75G scale model has several functions from the real one: · Dozer blade · Rotating 360 degrees · Cabin door opens · Yanmar Tier 4 engine · Engine doors opens Pictures: 01_John_Deere_75G by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 02_John_Deere_75G by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 03_John_Deere_75G by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 04_John_Deere_75G by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 06_John_Deere_75G by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr 13_overview_functions by Mathijs Bongers, on Flickr Many thanks to JaapTechnic for making the custom stickers for this John Deere 75G scale model. 11. Nebulon-B Medical Frigate by Dranac feat. Onecase (photo by Onecase) Hello every one. A few years ago, I revealed my UCS Nebulon-B frigate. It is now time to update this post, with new photos... new version and new instructions. It is now the the sixth version (v6) and I think it will be the very last. Because, Onecase (one of the best star wars mocer), added some welcome details, I decided to add some of these improvements to my Nebulon-B (with his kind authorization), I also rebuilt some parts of the frigate, for better resistance, optimization and better rendering. Because I'm not a very good photographer, I asked him if I could add to my photos some of his. He accepted and I thank him. I also decided to fully remake the instructions (PDF). It is a very nice and clear version, accessible to everyone. The instructions + part list are still on sale. Here is the part list (Red and lime colors can be replaced by anyelse) This new version is made of 4585 parts (the v5 was made of 4200 pieces), but keep the same proportions : 85 cm long This moc is still as strong as before (you can move it with one hand without any risk), as stable as before and still 100 % modular (you can disassemble it easily to show it in any convention ! ^_^) Enjoy ! 12. Hello! I'm back with another MOC, most likely the last one for a long time as I'm rapidly approaching a Lego dark-age of my own (college). This time around I'm finishing off my series of high-speed vehicles with a special rally-style chassis. It is my best handling version so far and it actually has bodywork (more of a tubular rollcage). Details: RC - featuring the custom electronics I've been using for previous versions. Link for those who haven't seen my setup yet. 4 Buggy motors for drive (2 driving each rear wheel, disconnected in the middle). Servo steering (normal Lego servo). 4 Wheel independent suspension - rear includes anti-roll bar and shorter top links while the front has caster and active camber due to shorter top link. Both axles have modified pneumatic cylinders acting as springs+dampers together. Extremely sturdy chassis with little to no twist (I tried hard to twist it from end to end, doesn't budge) plus sturdy rollcage that can be used to pick up the MOC. 3D printed wheels by efferman, as well as 3D printed spherical gear counterparts that act as really strong CV joints. The sturdy construction allows the suspension to work as intended, absorbing every bump. Here is the video: And now for a photo dump: Hope you guys like it! Sorry purists

  14. Welcome, I'd like to present a bus Solaris Urbino 12 IV. Specifications Scale 1:15 Length 103s / width 23s / height 27s (83/18/22 cm) Weight: 5,4 kg Front suspension: Independent, double-wishbone Rear suspension: Live axle Suspension with kneeling system RWD 2-speed gearbox AA+AAA Battery Boxes 7 motors Functions Driving - 2XLs Steering - L Opening doors - M Kneeling system - L + Servo Changing gears - M LED headlights Working steering wheel History Some time ago I decided to build a bus. I chose Solaris, beacuse it's a polish concern, which is producing buses and trams. I started building in mid-Febraury, and I finished it few days ago. Chassis The biggest challenge was to construct a strong chassis. We need to remember that it's a low-floor bus. The drive motors and the gearbox are (like the real one) located veritically on the left, behind the rear axle. It's causing big stress and I had to overcome it by the chassis. It consist of 3 parts: at the bottom there is a floor 2s thick, built from panels 5x11 and frames; at the top there are beams 3x3s on each side of the bus, they are built from liftarms. These two elements are combined by 7 rungs. The construction of the chassis is similar to the hulls of ships and planes. Drivetrain The bus is driven by 2 XLs. Gearbox ratio: I - 12,6:1 II - 4,2:1 The gearbox is built from frames, using 2 gear 24, 1 gear 12 and 1 gear 36. The gears are changed by M motor and mini linear actuator. The biggest problem was to lead the drive from gearbox to the axle. It is the weakest point of the bus - 2 universal joints, connected to the gearbox and to the axle, under a load break. Steering For steering I used L motor with reduction 14,4:1. It propels the gear rack 1x13 and also the steering wheel. Suspension Front suspension is independent with 2 yellow 6.5L absorbers per wheel. Rear is live axle. It has 1 grey and 5 yellow 6.5L absorbers (1 grey and 2 yellow for the right side and 3 yellow for the left side). Opening doors + kneeling system The doors are opened by M motor, reducted by 40:1. The drive is transmitted by liftarms used as links. The kneeling system is realised by 2 medium pneumatic cylinders. The pneumatic wires are connected only from one side, so the bus can rise using the absorbers. L motor drives the compressor and servo opens the valve with reduction 3:1. These 3 motors are electrically coupled, so in each door there is a gear with clucth. Thanks to that, the compressor doesn't stop at any time. The most wanted photos :) From the top From the bottom Some photos Gallery

    [MOC] The RG-1 Galactic Cruiser

This is my first attempt at a spaceship MOC. I would gladly take any constructive criticism anybody has. Thanks for checking this page out! SIDE NOTE: I think Im doing something wrong because the post options only allow me to post at a very small size; so if anybody knows what error I most likely made, Please let me know!
  16. Here's the second of my Force Awakens Microfighter MOCs, a Special Forces TIE Fighter. 88 pieces so well within the Microfighter piece count range plus it's a sturdy, playable little model. So far, Lego have produced 2 TIE Microfighters - An Interceptor from ROTJ and the Advanced Prototype from Rebels - but no 'classic' version - why?. I reckoned it was partly to do with capturing the wing design and making it strong enough so, to cut a long story short, I spent some time mocking up the structure with real bricks then, once I had something I was confident with, took it into LDD. It was pretty clear early on that fitting the 6 struts onto the wings was not going to result in anything strong or attractive so I decided just to go for the shape instead and leave the rest to imagination / artistic licence. The key construction element is a 9M cross axle that runs through the middle and the wings and 'beams' that contain 2x2 round plates to sandwich the whole thing together. It's really sturdy, much more so than plenty of the other MFs. The mini-blaster doubles as the antenna when it's clipped in and there are 2 flick missiles underneath. That's about all, the design would easily translate to an Original Trilogy TIE fighter with a simple re-colour so maybe I'll put one of those together too. Finally, here it is with my 'Black Leader' X-Wing micro :) Thanks for taking a look, comments & questions welcome.
  17. I created a scene from Brandon Sanderson's book, the Way of Kings. This scene takes place during the prelude to the book 4000 years before the actual story and is the pivotal point of that world's history. If you have never read the book, I recommend it as a good but long read. (It's a good audio book for long commutes). If you would like to just read the prelude you can find it here:

    [A - G04] A Diminutive City

Location: G04 - Fractor V Tags: Building, Vehicle While scouting out Fractor V, an Octan explorer came upon a tiny, yet highly advanced, alien civilization. He was going to get a closer look at some of the buildings when he noticed several hostile looking spaceships coming right towards him! Deciding a closer look could wait, he turned heel and ran. Lots more pictures on Brickbuilt: Link Thanks for looking, C&C appreciated
  19. Ever wondered what a large scale caravan would look like? Here, I've made one that has pretty awesome features! Here's the interior! First, there's the kitchen with a cupboard, drawers, microwave oven, 2-burner cooktop and a radio! 2-person bed with quilt! I still need to know how I could make a fridge/freezer that can store a lot of food! Luxurious Dining Suite with 2 upholstered chairs, coffee mugs & fruit bowl! Folding Entry Steps! The drawbar. Here, there's 2 gas bottles, jockey wheel, safety chains and even a security lock on the coupler! The sunshade on the kitchen window can be closed for travel! The shutters on the front & back can be opened & closed too! The entry door can also be opened! Waste Water Pipe Interchangeable Number Plates, depending on which Australian state you live in! (I live in South Australia!) Stabilizer Jacks Those new 'Flat Tile 1x1 Half Circle' (Part #24246) pieces make nice trailer lights! Number Plate Light Here's the food! Additional Features: Two Spare Wheels Removable Roof Opening Side Windows Outside Light Now if only there was going to be a car that could go perfectly with the caravan... Maybe a Holden Kingswood or Belmont Wagon! Thanks for reading!

  22. Haven't seen a post about this one yet. Builder is not active on Eurobricks, but this appears to be the follow-up of his impressive Subaru Impreza. I especially like the adjustable ground clearance, a very practical feature for an AWD supercar: Reproduction of the fast french supercar. Built in the classic Lego Technic Supercar style. Features : - HoG and steering wheel - W16 fake engine - AWD transmission - 6 manual gearbox (not sequential...) - Independant suspensions - Adjustable ground clearance - Adjustable spoiler - Detailed interior - Everything openable The half stud offset between the 3 driving rings in the gearbox is an idea by Thirdwigg (http://thirdwigg.com/2015/02/26/cadillac-ats/) More pictures : http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=561659 Full review (in French) : http://www.techlug.fr/Forum/topic10504.html 3D model used in the mechanical overview : http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/pipasseyoyo/Bugatti-Veyron-SS/z_bugatti_veyron_ss.lxf (LXF file openable using "Lego Digital Designer")

[MOC] Bumper Cars (Dodgems) - Fairground

Hello, in the last days, I build a new "ride" for my fairground: Bumper Cars. I was running out of some bricks, so I have to add more cars in the future. But I am happy with the build. And what do you think? Is there something missing? Have a great weekend Andres

    Mangupepeké

Hello. Quite a random model for me, I wanted to built something different, but... So i decided to leave anything as it is and post this to separate topic. Typical for Le-regions Rahi, little robo-butterfly. Their food is nectar, they have no real nature enemies, except some birds (Hukamanu are too lazy to catch them :P). The only interesting thing about Mangupepeké is it's glimmering. Also some of you can remember Blacktron for some reason. Any comments are welcome!
  25. Hi folks, I present to you the smallest technic truck ever.. Any comments on the build and advice to upgrade this moc are welcome... I tought a "little joke" most be possible...
