[9v MOC] CMF vig: March Harriet

Hello everyone! What kind of ideas pop into your head when you hear of a "cmf 8x8 vignette contest"? Mind you, I eventually thought of Micromotor, 9V, Fiber Optics and a matching figure capable of delivering the goods (hint: it did). Here's what came out of that idea... Just a dance club, folks! Nothing to see here, carry on... It is fairly tall for a vig, but it certainly works give the space restrictions. The dim lights were a pain to film in my setting, although I tried my best. The show must go on, no excuses allowed! And no regrets for that matter. Welcome the Catwoman from the Batman Movie franchise! Double the fun!! Some technical shots. The old 9V system is invaluable for how smoothly it integrates into Lego System. Fitting the fiber optics element into 8x8 was one hell of a task. At times I felt like a car thief on a job... The floor, oh, the floor! Don't even ask. Some bits and pieces. The pole absolutely had to be chrome - a choice afterwards regretted... I dare you to find a sound, functional and purist solution of proper length if you don't believe me. A rubber wheel was the only option of attaching the piece as far as my knowledge of pieces goes. ...And the heat goes on... Now that's a club I wouldn't at all mind visiting... Hope you had a great time here, be sure to visit soon! And something tells me you might just do that... Thanks for your attention! Let me know if you had as much fun as I did! x)

    Death in the Rafters

As a journeyman Dragonslayer walks through the halls of Drakken Keep, another hunter stalks her prey... I submitted this as a CCC entry this year, and used my Safe Haven assassin and a Dragonslayer "armor off" concept that didn't make the cut. It;s good to actually build something! Are we still doing Doctorate of Historica? If so, I request UoP credit for Windows & Window Frames if there are any Kaliphlinites still on the forum. C&C Appreciated!
  3. Not sure this is right in terms of what this contest is about but I figured I might as well post my new MOC here since it is a SW-vig. This scene shines a little light on what happened to Leia's golden bikini. For those of you who thought she just threw it awayafter she escaped Jabba's sailbarge, I can assure you that wasn't the case. She wore it on many vacations on years to come :) Leia's day at the beach (3) by Andreas Lenander, on Flickr Leia's day at the beach (2) by Andreas Lenander, on Flickr Leia's day at the beach (5) by Andreas Lenander, on Flickr Leia's day at the beach (1) by Andreas Lenander, on Flickr

    [LDD/MOC] Boston Blizzard Blues

I have shoveled my truck out of massive snow banks about once every three days for the last month and watched other cars get completely buried to the point of no return. People are cross-country skiing to work. On days where there isn't a citywide parking ban for snow removal, the sheer amount of snow piled up has basically eliminated street parking. Local mass transit has been down so long, they're literally paying anybody who shows up to shovel snow off the aboveground tracks. Of the literally six days I've been able to get to work this month, my half-hour rail commute has stretched to as many as three hours (and yes, I simply walked at some points). I think this quick little ditty sums up how we all feel at the moment. (By the way, this is my first-ever vig) Aiming to build this IRL some day (if the Post Office ever shovels themselves out). .lxf attached for those who want to explore a bit (I have to say, those new Mixel "teeth" bits are great for snow detailing! Stay warm out there. SNOWVIG.lxf
  15. My sigfig Edward von Graystar (EvG) marches into his fathers Victor von Graysta's (VvG) quarters. Edward isn't very happy with the recent problems in the south. It isn't long until the arguemtnts start... EvG: I got news from one of our scouts, the Orcs are starting to move further north into Graystar we must act now! VvG: Patience son . The Orcs have never had a reason to risk coming this far, and we have no reason to fear them. EvG: But with everything thats happened in Avalonia we can't risk that happening here! All I ask is for a small detachment of men and we... VvG: No! All you think of is brute force son! you must know your enemy before you know what to do. If you want to become ruler after me you must listen. The orcs know not to come this far, They must have a new cause... EvG: But father! We can't just sit here and waste time "Knowing our enemy" when they destroy villages and ambush our scouts! VvG: I know son! But if we do it your way we could lose more of our people with your brashness! I want you to go to Leon and have him send out his rangers to report on the orcs. now go! EvG:But father we must.. VvG: Don't make me ask again! now do as your told! With that Edward stormed off out of the room. Will he listen to his father? to be continued... First off, I like to apologize for the dark green flag, I still havent managed to get a bright green flag Just another quick freebuild. This is my first interior build so I hope everyone likes it I never wrote a story with my moc's before so would really appreciate the C&C on that So I'm gonna try a series of mocs and see how it goes All C&C welcome
  16. The border between the prosperous Galactic core and the more lawless Rim is loosely defined, but most legitimate traders use the American colony world of New Washington as the unofficial border. The spaceport is clean and and well kept and the bribes are low. Many different classes and types of ships, on either side of the law, pass through New Washington, including Hangar B-51. Below are some of the security-cortex images. [[OOC: I was a little bored of taking photos of ships on a blank background, and wanted to test out creating a backdrop with some character to it. Below are the results. Click on the images to get to more pictures and details of the ships involved.]] The Keepsake-class Fighter by TenorPenny, on Flickr The N-V-class Enforcer by TenorPenny, on Flickr Hangar 27 by TenorPenny, on Flickr Hangar 27 by TenorPenny, on Flickr Hangar 27 by TenorPenny, on Flickr The Gen-7 CIV by TenorPenny, on Flickr

    Rocky Mountains

Here is my entry to the Action Themes Building Drive: Wonderful Things. Enjoy! Rocky Mountains It appeared mysteriously centuries ago, discovered by our ancestors when they were hunting for food. No one knew its origins. It was believed that whoever owns it will possess incredible super human abilities. Many were tempted by its power, but many were against it. In the end, our ancestors decided that it was too much power for any human to bear. They casted it down the death ravines of Rocky Mountains, so that no one will ever find or retrieve it. The death ravines of Rocky Mountains, so dangerous and unpredictable. A look at those rock formations will deter even the most ambitious, for it reminds one of certain death. The Golden Statue of Rocky Mountains, a legend that is still being told today. Many believed it is just a story. Many tried to venture into the depths of Rocky Mountains. For all that went, None came back alive. But one.

    [MOC] Clue Vignettes

Hi, I just wanted to post some rooms I have been working on. These were inspired by the game Clue.(Cluedo in some countries) they were really fun to build, and this thread will be updated when I finish some more. More pics on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/92375335@N06/ Colonel Mustard, with the rope, in the bedroom. Clue 092 by Carson Haupt, on Flickr Professor Plum, with the pistol, in the office. Clue 084 by Carson Haupt, on Flickr Miss Scarlet, with the wrench, in the bathroom. (This was originally a hot tub room with no Clue connection, so that explains the lack of sink or toilet) Clue 081 by Carson Haupt, on Flickr Mrs. White, with the lead pipe, in the conservatory. Clue 078 by Carson Haupt, on Flickr I hope you enjoy these Mocs, I sure enjoyed building them!

  20. I made these back in September, and sort of rushed to finish them so I could bring them to the LEGO Fan Weekend in Skærbæk, Denmark. Unfortunately, the quality has somewhat suffered if you ask me . I'm sort of happy with some of them though... And of course, the reason I haven't posted them online yet, is that I've been extremely busy since then... But now, finally, here they are! From the display in Skærbæk: Mega assembly: Check out the rest on flickr
