    Canal Houses - Harbor Houses

Hi, I am currently working on a few houses which I want to use for multiple purposes: a) as part of a town (canal houses) b) as part of my harbor which I started in the pirate forum. The houses are inspired by Dutch houses. They are meant to be small, they should not look too modern but should somehow still fit in with something from the seventeenth century: Please don't ask for the interiors - they have not been done yet. Awaiting your comments!
  2. This model was the third place winner in Swebricks LEGO competition "The city we built". Here is (the badly translated) description I had for my model: "Businesses had been bad for Ragge Runarson in the increasingly desolate little town. Because of the current recession, sales had fallen drastically and all of his employees had to quit. It was with mixed feelings that he was standing at the window of the office building and looking out over his lifework. He remembers how he so happily rode to work every morning on his red bicycle. And he remembers the now broken cement mixer which he would use to finish cementing the walkway to the white cottage. Soon, however, there would come a person who was interested in buying the building, so then Ragge could start all over again!"

  4. This MOC was built by my 12 year old brother. the house has a full interior. Kendrick and our heroes have traveled to a famous dwarven blacksmith to buy armor so they can fight the dragon. Captain:hello young lad,is your father here? Boy:Yes, he is working in his shop, I'll tell him you're here. Captain:Thank you. Blacksmith:Hello, how may I be of service to you? Captain:As I'm sure you've heard, there is a dragon going throughout the lands attacking everything he sees. Blacksmith:Yes,I've heard but fortunately neither we nor our have people been attacked yet. Captain:Well, we have been sent on a mission to destroy him,and we are in need of the best quality armor which we here you make. Blacksmith:I'm honored! come see what I have. Captain:Very good selection! I'll take two full suits,a spear,a sword, and two shields. Blacksmith:Very well, is that all? Captain:I believe so,your services are greatly appreciated. Blacksmith:Your most welcome.Oh one more thing I've heard rumor that the dragon has been spotted near Gravensteen. Captain:Thank you very much, your information is most helpful! Blacksmith:I hope so. Goodbye and may you return victorious! Captain:Goodbye! And thank you once again for everything! More pictures here:link He would appreciate any C&C

    MOC: Ferris Bueller's Day Off

I made this build for Swebrick's annual AFOL vs. AFOL contest which this year was about building a scene from an '80s movie of TV-series in which a vehicle was featured. The entries were anonymous during the voting that was done in knock-out stages leading up to a final which I actually won! Here is the climax scene from the movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" from 1986 when Cameron's father's Ferrari crashes out of the big panorama windows: And a reference picture to the scene from the movie: Thanks for watching! /Etzel

    Daydelon Sheep Farm

My phase 3 build for the Farm category in AoM. I think this is my best half timbered house yet. As always there's a full interior, and the door works. There are many farms located on the outskirts of Daydelon. Several of which are sheep farms. The loom outside the house so you can see it better: More pictures can be found here: link C&C welcome

    My Work...

I don't normally talk in the Town forum (usually in the Technic forum), but would like to show some of my tinkering. I am slowly and currently adding to my bricks. (and filtering out the MB) It's just a few things I feel are, hopefully, good enough. Sue Ann and her truck. Mr. Yetti and his sports car. Finally I wanted to make a working convertible. The real version went back into sorting, but I have the LDD version. Thats all I got for now. Here are a few more pictures...http://www.bricksafe.com/pages/weavil/2014/Town%20Vehicles

    MOC Garden Railroad

Here's my newest creation - a mini railroad diorama! Since this is a diorama of a house and since there is a train in the forum banner, I hope this is the right place (and not train tech). A render of the concept: The finished scene: Without the train: The train in detail: The carriages can hold up to three minifigs each if the hair piece doesn't need too much space. The train is pretty unstable but it is not meant to be played with. The whole train is connected to the scene at two spots. I hope you like it!

    MOC : Modern Style Home

Hello Eurobricks! I've had this MOC laying around for a while and I'm just getting around to showing it. Sorry about the photos as they're not the best quality, but they'll do. Starting with the outside, a lot of details are present, most notably the pool, outdoor shower, palm tree, awnings, stonework, grill tile pattern, outdoor bar, and of course all that glass! Also, I tried to put a variety of textures and colors to really bring out that modern look. Let's have a look at the inside The interior is full of colors, which really brings it to life. There is a lot going on too. Squeezed in there is a living room, dining area, kitchen, stairwell, computer desk, and even another bedroom. I forgot to take a picture of the dining table, but you can kind of see it in the picture above. Wow, look at that Han in cabonite poster! This kid also appears to like action figures. As you can see in the kitchen, the glass can fold in accordion style to serve outdoor guests at the bar and bring the outdoors in a little, which is something I wanted to add. The upstairs features 2 child bedrooms, a master bedroom, a work desk, a laundry room, and a bathroom. Again, very squeezed in. Not much going on in the girl's bedroom, just some perfumes and furniture and stuff. Looks like the other kid likes LEGO. Cool! He's got his Modulars, stack-ons, and shelf of MOCs. Here is the master bedroom. There is a dresser, walk-in closet, bookshelf, rug, side tables, and of course the big ol' bed! Here's a view of the whole top floor from above so you can get everything in perspective. Sorry I didn't do this with the ground floor, but I think you can forgive me. That's all folks! C&C welcome.

    Daydelon's City Wall

My phase 3 build for the Wall category in AoM. My main goals for this build were to experiment with making walls with batter (sloped sections), hoardings (the wooden addittions to the tower), and larger buildings than what I generally build. The apothecary hinges open and has a full interior, and I think the windows right under the gables are a new design. Daydelon continued to expand: new businesses such as apothecaries, blacksmith's, and coopers were popping up throughout the city. And eventually the small stone wall didn't provide enough space or protection. As such, a new much larger stone wall strengthened with towers was built. You can see more pictures here: link All C&C appreciated

  17. Entry for Book II Challenge II Category B for deGothias side. The plague devastates Avalonia. Even the avalonian island Moria wasn't spared by the wave of illness. So Sir Moriartus called Mitgarda for medics, because of the good relations between him and some of the lords there. Aaron lost his wife and children in the last cruel war in Mitgardia and decided to study the old scriptures of medic. He wants to save other people from the dolor he got and save as much lives as possible. But the habitation of other people always reminds him of his dead family, so he lives solitary from the village on a small rock in the sea. In his small home he has everything he needs. Every day he paddle to the coast to heal people from the plague. The fight seems absurd, but Aaron tries his best to save the inhabitants of Moria. The free time Aaron has in his home, he spends on reading and rearing of swans. Explore all the details on MOCpages! I hope you like it and feel free to post your thoughts about this creation. :) Jonas

  20. Hello fellow Eurobrickers, Have you ever wondered how set 10228 Haunted House would look like if it was to be renovated into a brand new home with a garden all around? Well, I did. Which is why I started to build this renovation about a year and a half ago. However, life got in the way of the building process and the renovation got shelved until an unspecified date. However, it was only 2 weeks ago that I wanted to restart the renovation and got to building, with the following result (click to view larger image): However, that was when I realised there were a lot of bricks I didn't have in my collection that I needed for this renovation, so I got to Bricklinking. Ultimately, I ended up with 12 Bricklink orders with a total amount of 200 euros. And even then I wasn't done with ordering parts yet. There are still some parts that need to be ordered, but I'll only order them when the build calls for it. For example, I've already ordered quite a lot of blue slopes for the roof. Yesterday, I continued the build and ended up with the following WIP (click to view larger image): I won't be able to build much due to life getting in the way, but I'll try my best to keep you guys updated once or twice a week. Anyway, enough for my rambling. Please enjoy and let me know what you think of this Haunted House Makeover. See my Brickshelf for more photos.
  21. Above the barren and obscure wastelands near the Imperial London rises an odd and huge figure. But it is not one of the giants of the old age. It is a machine and it is a house, in fact it is the homely home of Mr. Edward Higgs, eccentric inventor and gentleman who definitely respects peace and desolation. Higgs's home is a typical home of an bachelor (at least on some aspects). There isn't that clean as there's no one to nag about things. As Higgs's inventing projects take some room (one of the three floors) and the machinery of the house isn't that small neither (it is an old steam sawmill tower) he has his bedroom, toilet and the old boiler room all in the same space. Isn't that handy? He doesn't have room for chairs around his table, but fortunately he can sit on the stairs while eating. The sewer system is also very compact and helps Higgs to avoid the sewage costs. As it would be troublesome and time-consuming to climb all the 32 ladders when coming home, Higgs has built a fold-out ramp for his helipack on the first floor. There is also a big steamp-powered hoister above the ramp to make it easy to lift heavy objects into the house. Another of Higgs's homely inventions is the big propeller on the wall of the first floor. It is not an air conditioning system, but a wind tunnel propeller that helps Higgs to make his airs vessels as aerodynamic as possible. This is my entry on the Home Sweet Home contest, category A. The house fits easily on 48x48 baseplate. I'm happy to be able to take part on this contest as steampunk is definitely my favourite theme and contest allowing that madness are not that common. This MOC was built and photographed in two days; late bird catches a worm anyway. More stuff can be found on Cyclopic Bricks, Flickr and Brickshelf.

    Victorian House/10228 Mod

I'm not sure whether this qualifies as a Mod or a MOC. I guess it's both. The exterior is an expansion/re-imagining of 10228. I used the same window design but with a 1/2 stud offset to give the windows a lower profile. Most of the design cues from 10228 have been carried over as well. I also added a bay window on the right and a two story set of bay windows on the left side of the house as well as a second chimney. The house is built in the modular style and will eventually have a fully detailed interior. I will update with more pictures as I complete more of the house. The parlour is nearly done and most of the first floor is in progress - waiting on some pieces. This is the biggest (and most expensive!) project I've attempted and I have big plans for this project, beyond just the interior and exterior. Other images available here.
