    [MOC] Barbinator the fairy

Hello, my dear visitors! Have you ever dreamed of a fairy paying you a visit? Well, you may want to reconsider. Such amazing! So mobility! Much wow! "A modern toy". This action figure is meant to illustrate the sorry state in which the child and teen entertainment industry is finding itself in our age. My intention was to leave as much humanly features as possible, overlaying them with the sheer inhumanity of modern toys and games. If you think that parents can effectively shield their children from corporations who employ flocks of shrewd marketeers, then think again. There's only so much one can can do, and this is where we are headed. Leg movement animation. Click here to see my attempt in composite animation which was too heavy to be embedded. An angelic "Kill Teal" version. A dangerous kind of beauty... isn't she?? Thanks for your attention and I hope you enjoyed her company! x)
  2. This ship is called the Emerald Bulldog, and was built as a armed cargo freighter. The ship is named as such because it is painted dark green, and fights like a bulldog: once it gets going it just won't stop. The vessel has rotating engine pods, which fold down for landing and up for flying. It also has five opening doors to allow for cargo and crew to be placed inside. The ship is protected by four forward-facing laser canons, thus giving it the 'armed' designation. In reality, this ship is a MOD of set 7930 (Bounty Hunter assault Gunship). I added a cargo compartment and revised the color-scheme in some places. The mini-figures are a mash-up of parts from several themes, including Star Wars, Scooby-Doo, the LEGO Movie, Jurassic World, and DC Comics. Here we see the ship with the engine pods in 'flight' formation. The very top the ship features a sliding portion to allow for the engine to rotate in unison for either flight or landing. The rear of the ship. The cockpit canopy, left and right crew sections, both sides of the cargo area, and the rear access hatch all open up for placing of figures and cargo. The name of the pilot / owner of the Emerald Bulldog is Sam Rift. His main helper is the android D0-C (or 'Doc', as he is sometimes called) These two are almost inseparable, and if you see one the other isn't too far behind. As usual, comments, questions, complaints, and suggestions are always welcome!
  3. For my latest MOC I decided to create the Arc Hammer, which was the large Imperial vessel featured in the Dark Forces video game way back in 1995. The Arc Hammer served as a production facility for the Dark Troopers. They were sort of a cross between droids and super soldiers. The Arc Hammer was also seen in the strategy game Empire at War. I included several images throughout the thread that I used for reference and inspiration, enjoy! 4. Strandbeest is designed by Theodorus Gerardus Jozef who is a great Dutch artist. Today I make my droid with Strandbeest's legs. Each leg in this contraption has 11 movable rods and 2 fixed rods which form 8 joints. Camellia Servo Strandbeest droid model is controlled by CAPPUCCINO controller with ARM technology. Each body part of this droid has an individual LEGO motor to drive its moving speed, distance, time and direction. As 8 LEGO motors are used, droid's head, body, left leg, right leg, left arm, right arm, left hand and right hand are able to be controlled cooperatively! Left and right by two motors, each has 2 front and 2 rear legs. Upper body Left arm Right arm Left hand Right hand Head and eyes, One eye is a camera to record its view. Star Wars: Micro MOCs | mini kits

Hi everyone! I'm quite new, but I build lego Star Wars MicroMOCs; in other words 'mini minikits'. I got my ideas from the Star Wars advent calendar series- style micro kits. I have built over 200 so far and I'm still going, so if you want to see any of these regularly, check out my facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/James.Arts2172 and my YouTube Channel "James_Arts_2172: Lego" https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmYOMZz6DyvM1euY2qrRfpA All I did was go through every page of both DK Star Wars Visual Dictionaries and build every single ship and vehicle in them. Of course I have made many more besides (2014-present sets, Ep 7, Rogue One, Clone Wars, Rebel, Force Unleashed, Old Republic).
  8. This is my entry to the Brickset 2016 Star Wars competition where you had to design a set based on a specific scene that hasn't been represented yet. Anakin, Padme, R2-D2 and C-3PO have infiltrated the Separatist droid foundry on Geonosis and are ambushed by the Geonosians! Pull the pins to shut the door and drop the heroes onto the conveyor belt. Turn the wheel to move the conveyor belts and help them escape through the assembly line! Watch out for swinging robot arms, stomping presses, and chopping blades! Use the swiveling robot arm to assemble the droids. C-3PO has lost his head! Attach R2-D2's rocket boosters and turn the knob on the tower to have him fly to the rescue! Rearrange the assembly modules to create your own foundry layout. Includes Anakin Skywalker, Padme, R2-D2, C-3PO, one Geonosian with stud shooter, and 4 battle droids. 9. Hello Eurobricks Star Wars community! I'm ChromeBricks from Instagram, and this is my first post on this forum, although I've been following it for quite some time. I would like to present to you a quick model I came up with a few days ago, a hybrid between an interceptor and a bomber like craft, but this is not final, of course. Some could even consider it kinda crappy, I sorta do. This would be primarily used for massive ground devastation or capital ship disabling. The advantage in this case of hybrid ship would offer high maneuverability in flight to evade enemy fire (both ground and airborne) and protect the payload and high speeds to attack enemy fighters and achieve long range bombing runs when in formation. This ship is pretty similar in some aspects to the RZ-1 A-Wing starfighter used by the Rebel Alliance, as it is light, hyperspace-capable, and has high agility, maneuverability and speed. Minor note: the 1x6 DBG plate on each side of the craft are intended to represent blaster cannons. But I have to admit, they barely serve that purpose. The fighter also features an astromech droid socket to assist the pilot in navigation. Behind the socket, there is a hyperdrive unit that enables the craft to travel at FTL speed while in hyperspace. Here's a view with the canopy open. As you can see, no controls yet, but those eventually might be added. Here's the rear portion of the fighter, where the hyperdrive would be installed, although there's still no indication of it. The round 2x2 plates the engine's exhaust nozzles. The DBG 1x4 behind the pilot's head is used to store any pistols that he may use, as shown here. Here is the undercarriage of the fighter. The stacks of 2x2 round bricks and a nose cone is are the bombs themselves. The round 4x4 is intended to be some sort of docking port, and the 1x2 plate with clips is kinda intended to be a torpedo launcher, although that would be small for an actual one. The vehicle does still look respectable without the bombs on, even though they are large compared to the craft itself. Lastly, here's a (blurry) pic of the pilot (Ten Numb) and the astromech droid (R5-D4) next to the vehicle. To finish things off, here a list of what I intend to add to this (partially lacking) spacecraft: 1. More detail and a more defined color scheme 2. New cannons 3. Better bombs 4. Maybe retractable landing gear? 5. Better engines 6. More greebling, for sure. And more importantly: 7. A NAME FOR CRYING OUT LOUD Because no ship is a ship without a name, am I right? I'm open to suggestions for anything, since I'm new to this community. Thank you for your attention, and may the Force be with you.

    [LDD MOC] Imperial Probe Droid

Today I have a small little build (about 40 pieces) of the Imperial Probe Droid, as seen in Episode V. Its features include a rotating head and movable arms. When I was designing this I tried to make it more screen accurate than LEGO's renditions that we've seen in years past. Comments or criticisms are welcome and encouraged!

    [MOD] Building a better Droideka

Destroyer Droids have been curiously inaccurate in the way they have been portrayed in LEGO sets. Specifically, the weapon arms are attached in the wrong place, which I feel removes some of the menace of these rapid-rolling, Republic-resistant droids. Originally. LEGO had their blasters mounted on the droids' bases: The 'actual' droids had their blasters mounted on arms emerging from their shoulders (link to Google image search), which I sought to recreate. Various arm iterations were required to not only mount the weapons in the correct place but to correct the other crucial problem with the original, namely that the blasters could only be pointed off into space, not aimed at anything at ground-level. After a lot of clipping, I finally found a solution that captured the look to my liking: The blaster-pairs aren't horizontal, as in the films, but this was a compromise I was willing to settle for. Arms done, the body needed just a little work and the intimidation grew: This is getting much closer to the droid I'm looking for: It even rolls better: After completing these improvements, I went looking for other people's work on these wonderful droids and particularly like the work done to extend the brown curve around the droid's back, further enhancing their accuracy. Having said that, many of the modified droids still suffer from not being able to aim the blasters in three planes. One thing that isn't widely used, and which I did particularly want to keep, was LEGO's use of the two barrel pistol/binocular combo. It was introduced way back in 2011 for Alien Conquest as the ADU weapon-of-choice (the theme closest to my heart, despite them being no match for Droidekas) so it is a shame that it didn't find its way into the 'hands' of Star Wars' Destroyers until 2015's 75092. Thank you for taking at look at my minor MOCing, and please forgive a newbie's photographic setup...!
  12. On seeing that there was no working LEGO BB-8 Droid on the shelves at Christmas 2015, and only ready-made products from other companies that would not hold my interest, I decided to do what I could to redress the balance. Here is my project to create a moving Technic BB-8 droid with Power Functions. The aim of the project is to make a driveable BB-8 droid with Power Functions that the user would build from instructions like a normal Technic kit. I will leave programmability as an option for EV3 experts to do in another project. SInce one of the criteria for viability as a LEGO set is the price point, I am aiming for £100, similar to the Cargo Plane 42025. Even with the motors I hope it will end up no more expensive than the Crawler 4x4. The Sphero product is £130 so my project needs to demonstrate equal value to the user for that sort of price. So far I have a Technic sphere with an internal mechanism to roll it, though I am making improvements before making a video. I started with a tiny head for the first prototype, then a rather squashed head for the second one. Now, with the first update to the project I have a much better head shape. The head also has a self-levelling mechanism. The sphere, made with Technic axle joints and panel pieces, is a bit uneven, so I have improved that too. The updated head is designed to cope with some unevenness. I hope to get it to roll reliably soon, so that I can post a video for a further update. There will be more updates throughout the year as I make improvements. Please would you take a look and support the project. Remember that you will be supporting the idea of a driveable LEGO Technic BB-8 droid that the user can build themselves; I will get as far as I can this year, or in any time extension that is granted following your support. Many thanks! Please spread the word and share with your friends. It will take a lot of support for us to let the LEGO company know we want them to produce a moving BB-8 droid in a set! Mark
  13. B1 Battle Driod in Lego version, based on the 1/6 scaled driod model in 30cm size produced by Sideshow. The Lego version is around 55cm high, and 1/4 scaled. Use the ballon parts as the head and fully studs removed techniques. The other highlights are the gun, the backpack, the flexible neck and the flexible antenna. 3 poses as the photoes presented. 1: Fully equiped with gun and backpack at the back; 2: Gun in hands as the guard or battle position; 3: Stand-by pose in the vehicles. Hope you like it! Yes, it is not a perfect version. Because the color, the hands, maybe the illegal building techinques, but it is a start as you all know. [MOC] Police Intervention Unit

This is a MOC I made last week. Here it is the Police Intervention Unit. In cases where the usual fire power is not enough it is called PIU to solve the problem. A team usually consists of an autonomous intervention droid (PID-25) and a support agent on a hover scooter. If necessary it's possible to coordinate several teams to conduct more effective operations. Although there are rumors that these teams can not work together, the truth is that only have soared between them on a couple of times causing injuries of varying degrees. It has drastically reduced the hostage conflict resolution time since the PIU are operational with a survival rate of 22%, and despite what has been said in other media, most victims do not present injuries caused by weapons of PID-25. 17. [begin Transmission] [Type - Alliance Report] [security - High] [Report from: Vedauwoo (Pilot) {HV-37}] [Location: Spaceport 8 - "Bed for Spaceship," Nar Eubrikka] It cost us most of our credits and 3 astromech droids, but we've secured a small Home in the form of an abandoned Hangar deep in the swamps of Nar Eubrikka. It's actually not far from [REDACTED] which makes supply runs a breeze. It's called "bed for spaceship" in Huttese, but the official Designation was "Hangar 8." The swamps remind me of growing up on Gelgelar...but it's much warmer here... We spent the first few days checking out the surroundings, before bringing the ship down for repairs.... "The Ship" being the new HV-37 Prototype Heavy Starfighter..... We assembled her from the Remnants of an A/SF-01 "B-wing," a burned out half of a V-19 "Torrent" and an old H-60 "Tempest." The twin Slayn & Korpil JZ-5 Fusial Thrust Engine Clusters give her an incredible amount of both power and maneuverability. Needless to say, it's taken a great deal of follow up maintenance to fully integrate the systems of all the donor craft... Not to mention the repairs the Hangar itself needed.... Even with one bad circuit...we were able to get the fuel to flow.... [END TRANSMISSION] ========================================== Thanks for visiting!
  18. [begin Transmission] [Type - Alliance Report] [security - Low] [Report from: Vedauwoo (Pilot) {HV-37}] [Location: Nar Eubrikka] Having arrived too late to assist in the Black Sun Operation, we found an abandoned hangar...somewhat damaged..in a secluded swamp on Nar Eubrikka and we have begun the final upgrades on the HV-37.....after organizing supplies in the Hangar, of course... Luckily, There was an old CLL-8h Binary Loadlifter and an EG-5v Power droid hidden in the debris... The CLL-8h is really a fantastic piece of equipment....just look at it! There is a bad weld on one leg that needs attention.....but other than that...she's a brute! We will transmit some images of the HV-37 once she's up and running.... [End Transmission]

    [O - E02] The Jin Homestead

Location: E02 - Jurin II Tags: Spaceship, Land Vehicle, Civil After crash landing on Jurin II, Pilot John Hannibal left his medic/mechanic/explorer droid Dora to scout the area while he was away. As she gives him a tour of all of her favorite discoveries, John and Dora come across two new colonists, the Jins, retrieving their freshly delivered frontier pod. Ma' Jin very happy to see John, who has been the majority investor in their colonization bid with Octan, and John is excited to get such a good look at his eager, and not-so-shy colonist. [O - E02] Pod Drop 2 by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr Ma' - "John! So lovely to see you, and you too Miss Dora. How sweet of you to come check up on us. George! John's here! Climb your butt back up here and say hi!" Dora - "HI MA'!" Hannibal - "No need for that Mrs. Jin, I can see that he's busy..." George - "John!? I'll be right up." Hannibal - "Stay put for a minute George, I've got to come down there anyway, my droid is tracking something she saw a couple of weeks ago, it must be down a little lower." Ma' - "Oh, that's very likely John. These trees grow so fast whatever you're looking for is likely to have been consumed by now. And call me Ma' you turkey, you're every bit of our family, like it or not" Hannibal - "Yes Ma'. Very possible, about the growth that is..." Ma' - "What was it you were looking for?" Hannibal - "More M.A.N.T.I.S. personnel I'm afraid. Been finding remnants of their patrols all over the lower levels. Dora says this one is particularly interesting." Ma' - "Oh, yes... our little scarecrow. He was like that when we scouted this place out last week. The locals said they were having some fun..." Hannibal - "Locals?" Ma' - "Oh, yes, our little octopus friends... George was able to figure out how to communicate with them through colors! He can really only understand their general emotions about a subject, but they were quite tickled by their little stunt with the fella down below." Hannibal - "Hm, well if it's all the same to y'all, I'd like to move y'all's pod a bit further away to be safe; wouldn't want any kiddos catching something from that corpse. Also, don't report in about your new friends just yet. The company's latest "retrievals" of xenological specimens have not been very peaceful... "O.T.C, "Mercy Brandy" where's our closest pick-up" Mercy Brandy - "OS-461, picking up his droid, about an hour from your location... need pick-up expedited?" [O - E02] OS-461 - 2 by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr Hannibal - "Negative. Send Cantillon along, but an hour will be fine. We're going to move Colonists 81815 and 81915 and their pod to sector RTMP-136 when they get here." Mercy Brandy - "Confirmed, something wrong with our drop." Hannibal - "Negative. Y'all nailed your spot, just have some new factors to account for." Mercy Brandy - "Roger that, we'll adjust our orbit to give you more time on the ground." Dora - "OOOO, wait-wait-wait, does Captain Cantillon have Mabel with him! I can't wait to share!" Mercy Brandy - "He does, Dora, and she's anxious to share with you too. Mercy Brandy out." Ma' - "But John, we've been scouting this sector for weeks. It's just lovely." Hannibal - "Don't worry Ma', it's still yours. RTMP-136 is... was one of my sectors... it borders this one and now both belongs to you and George." Ma' - "Oh, John we just couldn't!" Hannibal - "Stop it. Now lets help George get that pod secured..." C&C welcome and appreciated
  20. Location - Jurin II - E02 Tags - Building, Vehicle, Spaceship, Land Vehicle, Exploration After dropping a ship off on F02, Hannibal volunteers to run a delivery to E02. This beautiful planet has become extremely important to Octan and trade throughout the system. While Octan has maintained a strong presence on the planet, it has come to house a contingent of M.A.N.T.I.S. and many traders looking to capitalize on the border region. In fact, it is looking to become the nexus of the entire galaxy, being the linking point between Kawshita, M.A.N.T.I.S., and Octan (or at least the most hospitable one). [O - E02] LP - 4 2 by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr Such a planet is a thing of beauty, where everything interconnects, civilizations may rise, and commerce can enlighten all. One difficulty in the development of this planet has been the vigorous growth of the local flora. The ocean, woven through the forests of the many islands, was early considered a ideal place for landing ships and cargo, as it is on Earth. However, every attempt at cutting runways or docks led to the forest "taking back" the land. Octan did have much success in the tree tops, building platforms well above ground. [O - E02] LP - 4 3 by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr This practice was so successful and prevalent that many visitors to the planet had not even seen the ground below. After unloading their cargo, Hannibal calls in his busy droid, Dora, that he had left behind to explore the planet. Together, they head for the secret sectors of Jurin only surveyed by his faithful droid. [O - E02] LP - 4 4 by Ryan McBryde, on Flickr To be continued... C&C greatly appreciated.

The completed model (back view) The completed model (side view 1) The completed model (side view 2) The completed model (top view) The wheels in straight mode. The model is not stable and will roll back and forth if you surface is not 100% flat. The wheels can be folded down 90 degrees but more than this and the wheels don't touch the ground and the model doesn't roll anymore. The minifigures Now on to the minifigures. We get 3 of them. One clone trooper Lieutenant and 2 Super Battle Droid. The Super Battle Droid. The same as the one release with other episode 2 sets. The 'incomplete' back The clone Lieutenant compared to the polybag version we got in october 2013 Note: The sets comes with only one clone trooper. The one on the left is from the polybag. The one on the right is from this set. As you can see they are both exactly te same except the newer version as leg printing. ( I just noticed the printing on my new lieutenant's helmet is a bit off. Maybe I should call and request a new helmet.) The back is exactly the same Rating --------- These two point are not included in final score.I will still rate them as they are important for some people. Let me explain: Price: Too much dependent on where you live and your Lego budget. Also, Lego is kid oriented even with the big AFOL community. Most Lego sets are gift to childrens so the price will not affect the overall feeling of a kid toward is play set since they don't pay for it and generally they won't know the price. Parts: only affect the overall score for MOCCERS who need pieces for their mocs. This should not affect the rating of people who display their model and/or play with it and don't dismantles them for parts. Price: 5/10 – 163 pieces for 20$ is under the 10 cents per piece ratio. Still if you are interested in the clone Lieutenant, 20$ is the price you would have payed on the aftermarket for one. I feel another clone trooper should have been included at this price. Parts: 6/10 – The printed wheels are exclusive to this set. They are the highlights in term of parts, depending if you like them or not. We also gets some pieces in 2 different shades of brown. But most pieces are small grey and black bricks that don't seem that interesting. We also get a lot of technic pieces. --------- Build 6/10 – Except for the middle section, its a pretty repetitive build. It should take around 15-20 minutes to build this set. It's an easy build. Design 6/10 – I think this all comes down to if you like the printed wheels or not. It does look somewhat like the source material but it should have bigger wheels and more rocket launchers. Also you cannot leave the spring loaded missiles in the launchers because they will damage the spring if you leave them in too long. It won't damage the spring but I don't leave my spring launcher loaded because I don't like having "loaded" shooters on display. Thus it diminishes the value of this set as a display piece. Minifigures: 5/10 – The Clone Lieutenant is a great minifigure and the highlight of this sets. This is a good way of getting the Lieutenant for those who missed the polybag and don't want to pay the ridiculous aftermarket prices. The two droids are a bad selection for this set. We should have gotten 2 brown battle droids instead of 2 SBD. In the worst case t least 1 brown battle droid and 1 SBD. Also a fourth minifig should have been included. Playability: 6/10 – You get 4 spring loaded missiles shooters and wheels to roll around. So this is pretty swooshable. But by itself there is not much to do because you get 2 SBD and only 1 clone trooper. This set is clearly meant to complement other Geonosis sets from the 2013 wave. OVERALL 5.75/10 – Definitively not one of the best set of the winter wave. I would not recommend this set alone but it's decent complement to your Geonosis collection. Also even if the minifigure selection is not the best, this set is worth getting for those who missed the clone Lieutenant polybag. I am pretty sure we won't get a third chance to get a blue phase one clone trooper. Here is a little bonus for those who got through the review Thoughts and critiques welcomes! I tried my best for the lighting while I took the pictures. I tried pretty much all the lamps in my house and this is the best result I got. Are they too dark?
