  1. So this is a little vig I made to introduce my sig-fig in GoH. I went with sort of a cartoon-ish look for the desert (probably inspired by som old super mario that I have been playing with the kids lately, haha!). Trying to get used to the EB-forum as well so I guess this also serves as somewhat of a test to see if I am able to post something correctly (if not, feel free to correct me ). Anyways, this is Tabib D'Odo. A doctor/healer and somewhat of a religious leader in Mophet. His healing abilities and knowledge was most likely passed on to him from his father, a rather absent man who spent his life travelling throughout the world in search of knowledge (even venturing in the darker parts of Nocturnus...). Tabib D'Odo spent his youth and adolescence in the Siccus Badlands, which was a hard as one might imagine. As he got older, he earned a living on the oil road, helping transport the valuable commodity through the terrain he knew all too well. Unlike many of his comrades though, he always had a desire to do more, and he spent many night studying his father's old journals. One day while working on a transport, he and his travellers were ambushed by a band of Lerik'ai and he was injured. The rest of his companions were all killed. Close to his death, dehydrated and injured, he saw a snake wriggling past him. The snake looked at him briefly and seemed to gaze into his very soul. Tabib D'Odo gathered his last efforts and followed the snake (hoping he might be able to kill and eat the snake before his own demise) as it made its way towards some nearby rocks. Behind the rocks, Tabib D'Odo was astonished to discover a small spring in the otherwise dry desert. The water helped him survive and he finally made his way to safety. The incident with the snake made a deep impression on Tabib D'Odo and he began to believe in a higher power, with the snake as the most sacred symbol of this. Settling in Mophet - a small town to the east of Barqa, along the oil road - he was able to help the community grow as both a healer/doctor, as well as a spiritual leader. His desire to help people, of all backgrounds, helped keep Mophet somewhat safe from the otherwise harsh treatment most towns along the oil road experienced. So that's the beginning of my sig-figs story :) Hope you liked it! I got some (a lot of...) builds planned and am looking forward to exploring the world and hopefully making Mophet a more important part of it. Cheers!
  2. Hi everyone, We (me and my brother) have created a landscape based on the Adventures theme from 1998 and 1999. The landscape was shown at Lego World the Netherlands 2017. The landscape contains a piramide, a temple, a lake town, a village and many vehicles. You have already seen the development of the vehicles and landscape in Various Adventurers Creations The piramide was build by my brother and it contains many rooms with traps, treasures, mummies and action. The Jungle was created by me and for the first time we added trees and more plants to make it look like a real jungle. I am glad that the water worked out fine. Someone told me that the river should be bigger compared to the ship the river is small. He had a point, but it was already expensive to purchase all the transparent pieces. For more pictures visit my Flickr album. Land of Adventure Questions and feedback are welcome. Sander

    [MOC] Desert Skiff

Hi, this is just a small build I made this afternoon while waiting for a big parts order to arrive. I have the 9496 skiff but I really wanted to make a tan version. I don't know how I feel about the latest iteration of the ship, though - it feels too bulky. So, I made a slimmer, smaller version that does the trick and has enough room for the essential minifigs. I hope y'all enjoyed it!
  4. Feeding the vultures I tryed something a bit different from what I usually build and since I am preparing something in the Western Theme, I thought it could be good to post this little MOC to have some feedback, in particular on the vultures design. The scenette helped me to design some figs I will probably re use in other bigger western builds in the future. And without anymore words, here are the pictures :
  5. Hi everyone, Me and my brother are planning to build an Adventurers layout based on the Desert and Jungle series. My brother will build the Desert part of the landscape and I will build the Amazon part. I have started with the vehicles, because if I start building the landscape, I do not have the parts for the vehicles. I have built several cars (I think 12). 4 of those cars will be used in a town The left car is a little based based on the Island Racer of the Dino Island. I have created one jeep inspired from a jeep of Indiana Jones. It was the idea to make the jeep 7 studs wide. I have created another car and someone compared it with the car of Donald Duck. The focus was on the mudguards. I have created a ship/boat based on the River Expedition set of the Amazone. The boat has another color scheme than the set, but the structure is almost the same. For more pictures you can see them in the Flickr album. Various Adventurers Creations I still need to take some pictures of other cars. I will do that at the end of the week. Questions and feedback are welcome. Sander

    [MOD] Desert Skiff (75174)

I recently bought the new desert skiff set, and I like it a lot more than I thought I would. Unfortunately, I'm not a fan of the stubby extendable catwalk (admittedly one of the cooler features of the set). I've owned the previous desert skiff (9496) for quite a while now, and I really like the hinged design of the catwalk. As soon as I had this set put together I went to work modding it. It doesn't look a whole lot different, but the changes required I remove much of the bottom detail, which is unfortunate. With the mods, it's a full two studs shorter in length, has two hinged catwalks (one on either side), additional railing detail, a hinged compartment "lid," and a raised driver platform. I'm not quite finished, but I'm out of spare parts for now. Desert Skiff [MOD] Thoughts and criticism are always appreciated! Thanks for lookin'! JB

    [M-D04] Desert Patrol

Location: D04, Terrial Minor Tags: Vehicle, Land Vehicle Job: Driver Start Log: Fairly standard assignment: patrol Terrial Minor and make sure Kawashita or Octan has not been completing any operations there. This new Titanium Thunder hover speeder made it fun though, man can that thing move! See more pictures here.
  9. Comin' in quite late, one year after discontinuing of the original set, but still quite hot - I give you the Bootleg Belle, a monstrous desert hot rod on steroids. Forget the stance, omit the channeling, leave out the chopping. Stacking a classic 1930's coupé on top of a 1940's truck's slanted chassis, adding 9' diameter wheels and a monstrous supercharged mountain V8 created this pinnacle of Kustom Kulture. Bootleg Belle is a moonshine hauler at a size of a small mountain that gives you a nice sense of superiority, even if you are a modest bloke. With two meters of metal framework under your butt you know who is the king of the desert now. Features: ► mountain V8 cammer engine with moving pistons ► blower with rotating pulley + Enderle-style bugcatcher & twin carb ► radiator with reinforced grille ► ribbed hose headers and shotgun exhausts ► working differential and transmission ► working steering connected to steering wheel and a rear facing HOG ► detailed cockpit with a steering wheel, dashboard, gear shifter and two seats ► opening, functional trunk ► rear hinged ("suicide") doors with shaved handles ► individual suspension for each wheel ► reinforced bumpers ► rear view mirrors, desert safety flag 42000 C-model, uses around 92,5% of set's parts (loose assumption). Sorry for the quality of photos, still can't afford a decent camera.

    Mad Max: Fury Road

Hi all, I've recently made some of the cars from Mad Max: Fury Road. Thought I'd post this one. I used a reference picture from production shots, but modified some things. Reference is here. Comments and criticism welcome.
  11. Hi guys, so I have finished another micro moc landscape. This time its of one of my favourite scenes from The Force Awakens. The crashed Star Destroyer is such an iconic image from not only the film but the trailers as well that I just had to make it in lego form. I am really pleased with Rey's speeder. I didnt think I would be able to build it at this scale but actually I think this is a pretty good representation. At only eight pieces I dont think its going to get any smaller either! (I did have one version with one less stud at the back but it looked too blocky) The star destroyer is a slight variation on a polybag release with a few tweaks. I was going to design my own from scratch but actually once I built this I felt the look, size and dimensions were pretty much there and just needed a few extra bits added. Overall I am really pleased with this build but as always I would love to hear your feedback and advice.
  12. Greetings, Today, I'd like to share my Afrika Korps vehicles that I've built over the last few months. I usually build sci-fi or modern military, so it was a nice change to build historical models. I had fun researching each vehicle, and it allowed me to use a lot of my tan parts, possibly my favorite Lego color. The first vehicle I built was a Panzer II Ausf C. It was used for mainly for reconnaissance roles. Panzer II Ausf C - DAK by Tyler, on Flickr I next built a Stug 3 Ausf F/8, which featured a long barreled gun, and excelled as a tank destroyer. Stug III Ausf F/8 - DAK by Tyler, on Flickr For some extra fire power, I built a 10.5 cm leFH 18, which was the standard German light howitzer used during WWII. The legs can be folded inwards to allow a bracket to be attached for towing. 10.5 leFH 18 - DAK by Tyler, on Flickr Finally, an Opel-Blitz; which was used throughout the war. Using left-over fabric from another one of my Lego projects I was able to make the cloth covering for the cargo hold. Opel Blitz by Tyler, on Flickr There are more photos of each model on my Flickr Photostream. Thanks for looking. I hope you enjoyed!

    [M - A06] An Unexpected Friend?

Location: A06 Guinevere Tags: MANTIS, spying Double D's log 46: Before I could report about my findings and get a group of MANTIS operatives to explore the mysterious building on Illustria, I was sent to Guinevere of all places. I was to find out why MANTIS operations have been slow to the West of the volcanoes because Kawashita now has the competitive advantage of gold mining, and we aren't sure why MANTIS equipment isn't as effective as it should be. It's not like we're in conflict in Kawashita, even the CEO noted the planet's apparent peacefulness. So far the outposts we inspected were running at full capacity, and the employees had high morale, so we moved further West towards the GU-Labs and Weapons Center. From a distance it was immediately apparent is that there had been an attack of some sort on the facility! What's more, sand was beginning to dust the surfaces of....well, everything! That means it had been like this for quite a while now. There were flags of black, white, and azure blue, and canisters of matching color in various places, but MANTIS equipment seemed to be scattered around almost as if for survival. Then I noticed helmets used by Kawashitan forces. Before my rage could surface, I heard the distinct voice of the Kawashitan general whom I retrieved planned fleet paths from back on Crentium. "Be very quiet and cautious with your steps, or you will be found by the Alien." "Aliens?" "No, the Alien. This destruction you see, it is the Alien's doing. The azure canisters you see, it's the Alien. Now that you've entered the GU-Labs complex, you're trapped with us." "Us?!" To be continued! ------------------------------------------------- Woot! I finally have a story arc going!
  14. Greetings all, After getting some really good feedback here on Eurobricks for my Brethren of the Brick Seas builds over in the pirates forum, I thought I'd post some of my recent builds for Lands of Roawia here as well. I have recently been experimenting with Middle East style desert scenes. It's not a genre I ever even really thought about before joining the online community, although after seeing works by Gideon and Blufiji (the tower in the last build is Blufiji's technique) amongst others, it's one I really wanted to try. Anyway without further ado here they are, any suggestions or feedback is very welcome. Thank you!

    The Streets of Oni'Kar

The Streets of the desert city of Oni'Kar are dangerous. Merchants are never safe, Neither are sick, poor people. Cat fights can break out over simple games of luck, and assassinations can come at the most awkward times. (a couple extra pics below:) (A cat wanting to get drunk:) (The Back:) Thanks all for viewing this! It's just a small section of a large desert city in a book i'm writing. I haven't posted anything in a while, and i'm just now getting back into the groove of building regularly. Leave any CoC, and thoughts in the comments! Thanks!
  16. While busy with another LEGO project, I felt the need to build a Adventurers MOC One of my favorite theme's. This MOC is based on the Adventurers Egypt theme of 1998. Johnny Thunder has found a secret tomb in the dangerous desert of Egypt. Maybe this tomb should hide a treasure....... 21. Countless citizens of Kaliphlin lost their homes, belongings, and even loved ones during the drawn out war between the High Council, Desert King, and Ulandus. Many chose to take what little they had left and travel with makeshift caravans, to try and find a haven from the constant strife, whether within Kaliphlin or another guild: C&C welcome
  22. Tags: Exploration Kawashita Engineer's Log - AC - D04 Terrial Minor It's been 4 or 5 weeks since I was last in contact with the rest of the Kawashita fleet due to a malfunction with the GATE (Gravitational Anomaly Transport Engine) on my ship. We've now managed to reach Terrial Minor safely to continue with our work in the Andromeda System though. Unfortunately, there is still conflict with MANTIS who have also landed on Terrial Minor. Because of this, a few of us were intercepted by MANTIS pilots and drones while driving some trucks across the desert ( ). I've managed to get away, but lost my transport, so I'm now on foot trying to find my way towards somewhere useful before I encounter any other MANTIS agents or local wildlife. OoC: Not built anything for this for a month or so and I had a flash of inspiration yesterday to explain why as part of my characters story that I could build which resulted in the above. I've still not caught up with all the builds others have posted yet, but when I was uploading the image to Flickr, I thought I could tie my story in to soccerkid's build for this week to explain the basic scene I put together. I prefer to keep studs showing for rough surfaces like sand, but wanted to leave an obvious trail of footprints, so tiled this bit of desert.
  23. There is little to distinguish the Inn of the Wayward Knife from any of its brethren with the city. The heroes walk through the front door, across the common room and out of the back to the Walled Outdoor Pavilion. Their boots clack loudly on the bare cobbles beneath their feet. The night is deep, with only the barest hint of a moon to light one anthers faces as they await the arrival of the Caliph's agent. It would seem their eagerness for battle has brought them early, as the bell has not yet begun to chime the changing of the watch. 24. Location: A06-Guinevere Tags: Exploration My first sight of Guinevere was of its rolling sand dunes. There appears to be rock formations protruding out of the sand, I'll have to take a closer look at them. This was a fun build, getting the rocks to stick out of the sand at an angle was a bit of a challenge, but I think it turned out pretty well. C&C very welcome
  25. Location: G08 - Xerillian Tags: Exploration, Land/Water Vehicle --Weekly Explorer's Transmission-- --Log of Eagle-Eye Silver— -- 07 Junali 3815-- The landscape of Xerillian is, frankly, bleak. Sand and rocks as far as the eye can see. Due to the sandy surface, I left my jetpack on the Lone Hawk and grabbed one of Octan’s Jaguar 4x4s. These things are just about as much fun as a minifig can have on four wheels! I cruised around on Xerillian for a few days and noted mainly scorpion-like insects crawling through the sand. (Luckily I didn’t encounter any of the mantis creatures Bob of Quatrian noted in his report the other day!) These scorpions are freakishly fast though—they can almost keep pace with my Jaguar at half speed. I believe they are the same species Big Z sent to Dr. Long. Apparently most of the planet can support their life and they have appeared in two colorings—black (common) and dark red (rare). I wonder if Dr. Long has discovered anything useful about them yet? I took some shots at a few of them the other day with my rifle. They sure do have a tough shell on them. Eagle-Eye out. --End-- I'll post some standalone pics of the Jaguar next weekend. I'm pretty pleased with it! You can't really see it from the pics so far, but all four wheels have "independent" suspension. C&C appriciated!
