  1. Hi Folks, some weeks ago I presented my Millennium Falcon Moc here on this page. ...but after a while I wasn't completely satisfied with the endresult, so I broke it down (which wasn't easy) and began a rebuild. The new version is larger and I tried to get the outer proportions more like the original Falcon, same with the the interior layout. Length: 58 cm (75257: 44) Width: 40 cm (32) Hight: 14 (14) Weight: 4,1 kg. First some exterior images:
  2. Hi Folks, my name is Friedie, I'm from Bonn, Germany and this is my first posting here. I was born back in 1967 and I allways was a big Starw Wars Fan. In the last years I followed all that Lego Star Wars Creations on the Internet but never took part in building Lego myself (what I did when I was a child of course). In 2017 I thought of buying the new UCS Set but I was was a bit disapointed, that the Interior was not complete and they used these "Sticker-Hallways". I know, it is not a play-model, but even a Display Model should be "complete"in my oppinion, even more when you consider the high price. But The Falcon allways was my favorite ship, as Han Solo was my favorite charater of the series. so finally I wanted to have a Lego Falcon at home, so I decided to buy me the 75257 Edition. It was fun to build but the outcome is so much different from the original thing. So I first decided to mod it and got me some more parts from bricklink. Corona came leavin me working at home and having much more spare time. I looked up a lot of mods and mocs on the Internet, and I also found this site of course. There are brilliant works (stifos!) that inspired me from the start ofmy building efforts. Finally I finished my work and it evolved from some simple mods to a fullgrown moc of the Millennium Falcon witha detailed interior. First some Numbers: Length: 53 cm (75257: 44) Width: 37cm (32) Hight: 17,5 cm (14) Weight: 3,2 kg (2,1) I don't know the number of parts, cause I just build the thing together, so sadly I don't have instructions or part lists to offer. But here are the first pics I want to show you... The "Corona" Falcons Overall Exterior:
  3. This smaller space freighter is meant to get smaller, yet very dense loads through heavy planetary blockades without being noticed due to shape-and-trajectory-jamming technology and four experimental high speed engines that can let them outrun all but one of the ships in the Space Police IV armory. The name of this extraordinary vessel is the RES-Q and was built by Jack Stone Industries as a one off before they were absorbed into Octan Corporation. Mr. Stone himself destroyed the plans and took the ship and a bunch of spare parts to a hidden asteroid at great personal risk (he was killed by Lord Business for this later on), where it was picked by it's current pilot and crew who then joined the Resistance against the Space Police IV. The ship features two laser guns near the lower engines, (in trans yellow, on the light bluish gray bars) and two large fins with RES-Q printed on them from the ill-fated Jack Stone theme. The rear of the ship and the four huge engines. This section also has the hidden cargo compartment, which is accessible via the folding roof section. The name of the alien figure of the left is Kranxx. In the almost ten years since the fall of the Black Hole Gang he has put his organizing and secret-gathering skills to better use now that he is a part of the resistance against the outright corrupt Space Police IV. He runs the blockade runner space freighter RES-Q alongside his pilot Valkyrie or "V" as she is known informally by the group. Valkyrie (on the right) is from the Marvel Universe and was sent to the LEGO Universe on accident by the Bifrost. She was found floating in space by Kranxx, and he helped her to learn about her new home in a strange and unfamiliar universe. As a pilot, her skills are unmatched by any organic, non-augmented being found so far. "V", as she likes to be called, also has started to have feelings for Kranxx.... though it remains to be seen if he returns the affections! In reality, this is a modification of set 75178. (Jakuu Quadjumper) I removed the exploding engines feature, added yellow parts instead of the regular dark orange, and changed the main windscreen to trans-light blue. The figures are a mix of Star Wars, Space Police III, and Marvel. Comments, Question, Complains, and suggestions, are always welcome!
  4. Grid E10 Studica / Q10 World. This is the freighter Xenor Sea 1, heading to Tosul. Some containers are loaded on the deck. This is not the largest freighter of the Xenor Merchant Navy but it is a reliable ship. 1 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr 2 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr Again! James Jennings is on board. He infiltrated site Mike and a raid was successful thanks to his job. After this, he left to mainland Xenor to gather info from the Servants of Freedom, but after the detonation on Haams he decided to unveil what really happened. He went to South Bay, close to site Oscar. He has received a very short message: “be ready”. He entered the boat disguised as a crew member. 4 by green helmet spanish AFOL, en Flickr James has to clear the assault for the members of the Special Operations Unit of the Erotema Navy (combat divers), so the SoF member must be cleared. 5. This ship is called the Emerald Bulldog, and was built as a armed cargo freighter. The ship is named as such because it is painted dark green, and fights like a bulldog: once it gets going it just won't stop. The vessel has rotating engine pods, which fold down for landing and up for flying. It also has five opening doors to allow for cargo and crew to be placed inside. The ship is protected by four forward-facing laser canons, thus giving it the 'armed' designation. In reality, this ship is a MOD of set 7930 (Bounty Hunter assault Gunship). I added a cargo compartment and revised the color-scheme in some places. The mini-figures are a mash-up of parts from several themes, including Star Wars, Scooby-Doo, the LEGO Movie, Jurassic World, and DC Comics. Here we see the ship with the engine pods in 'flight' formation. The very top the ship features a sliding portion to allow for the engine to rotate in unison for either flight or landing. The rear of the ship. The cockpit canopy, left and right crew sections, both sides of the cargo area, and the rear access hatch all open up for placing of figures and cargo. The name of the pilot / owner of the Emerald Bulldog is Sam Rift. His main helper is the android D0-C (or 'Doc', as he is sometimes called) These two are almost inseparable, and if you see one the other isn't too far behind. As usual, comments, questions, complaints, and suggestions are always welcome!
  6. The YT-1450 model was conceived mainly for hauling large cargo crates by connecting them to the hull between the two forward mandibles. This was a feature not frequently used on earlier models, such as the YT-1300, but there still existed a market demand for these types of ships. The YT-1450 standard model comes equipped with a forward pointing tractor beam projector, placed between the large mandibles. Somewhat unique for this YT model is the side mounted rotating cockpit that gives the pilot a great overview of the ship and the cargo during flight. "The Nadir" is, as many other YT class ships, greatly modified. In particular for getting large cargo shipments out of tough situations. An oversized shield generator has been fitted to one of the mandibles. This gives The Nadir the possibility to shield both the ship and the cargo. To be able to blast through blockades, a double turbo laser battery has replaced one of the docking ports. Almost all of the long-range sensors and communication equipment have been upgraded and switched out during the years. -------------------------------------- This is my entry in the Rebrick FREIGHTER WARS contest. The design is completely my own. It's a mix of the Millennium Falcon and a ship I've been thinking about building for a long time. Hope you like it!

  8. The Sphyrna. My entry for the Rebrick Freighter Wars competition. Piloted by Sif Cahone, 'The Sphyrna' (pron. Suh-fir-nah) Is a Corellian YT1350KL light freighter. Like most of the ships in the YT series, The Sphyrna is prone to being slightly temperamental. Sif is a reluctant smuggler, but with galactic taxation on imports and exports the way they are it's hard to make an honest cred, so she's always on the lookout for low-risk goods to transport. Her co-pilot is 404 (an android) who broke his own programming, Sif found him cheating on the sluggy tables (a gambling game similar to Backgammon). The gunner is known only as Redeye, who Sif rescued from a life of slavery on the planet Cyclopsia Beta. The final member of the crew is the ship's engineer, Ryk Lugfan, who has just helped Sif take receipt of a cargo of highly desirable and much sought after building toys, and being a fan himself, he just had to build one! NB. Syphyrna is the Latin name for Hammerhead sharks Hope you like my entry, but with so many strong entries out there already, I'd be very surprised if I found myself as one of the lucky few. Any comments are gratefully received.

    [LDD][MOC] The Tough Barge

Hello, Very shortly I thought you might want to check out this virtual build I made for an entry to recent rebrick contest called Freighter Wars. I did not have much time to spend on this and I admitt humbly that the internal structure could use more than just slight improvements. Since I am actually really happy with how it turned out, I may end up re-visiting this and improving its guts to meet my good standards :) You can click on the picture and browse couple more images in my Flickr gallery. If from whatever reason you want to browse the images less conveniently and maybe give me a warm heart like, visit my entry HERE. :D Thanks to Eurobricks member Umbra-Manis for couple of these renders (the fancier three of total five, I am sure you can tell) whcih he made for me in the night, literally couple hours before the contest deadline. Kudos! The design inspired by this badass model built a good decade ago by Mark Kelso, one of the members of my personal hall of awe. The idea is that this Tough Barge (for a lack of better name ideas) was built from a wrecks of Correllian YT-1300 Light Freig... ah scrap it - Millennium Falcon, and another correllian ship. Few welds here and there and this is the result. Hope you like it... nothing to fancy, but I hope not to bad either :D

    [MOC] YT-2700 'Break of Day'

My Freighter Wars entry. I envisage the YT-2700 as a design brought in after the fall of the Empire in response to a rapid increase in trade (legitimate or otherwise) once the industry was free of Imperial regulation. The two large cargo holds opening up wider freight possibilities in terms of type and volume of cargo. The 2700 began to decline in popularity with the rise of the First Order. Galactic conflict made such a specific-role freighter less desirable than other multi-purpose models as it lacked flexibility but some remain in use. The 'Break of Day' is owned and operated by Nix Vellon and Jeroh Saael, a couple who mostly ran charter consignments for the Republic. The destruction of the Hosnian System has left them at a loose end, unsure of their future. Thanks for looking. I don't dabble in Star Wars much (even though I'm a huge fan) so any feedback is appreciated. Luc.
  11. Some fast MOC for some contest (with small hops for big thing) [don't know whay there was some other topic linkt embebeded ... removed]
  12. NOTE to the MOD: First off, I am sorry if this is in the wrong place. I wasn't sure where to place it, as it is a model using both System and Technic parts / techniques. Please move this as you see fit, if you need to move it at all. I just finished turning an elongated and enlarged version of set 42064 (Ocean Explorer) into a Adventurers style tramp steamship I call the Great West. The lift-away roof and bridge sections come off easily for access to the inside, and all the cargo is removable / interchangeable. Here is the original model, set number 42064, Ocean Explorer. I stripped the deck clean of all play features and attached models to give me a good foundation for my modifications. I also got rid of the helicopter and submarine. This ship is missing a few parts such as one of this for the bow in red, and two of each of these parts for the ships name, the Great West. The ship's name plates are located on the front of the bridge and the rear of the ship. I made the ship a whole section taller and longer to make it more proportional at mini-figure scale. The ship also feature wheels on the bottom for rolling along the floor / table / whatever. The two inside sections are mostly empty, but the captain's quarters goes on the lower deck, and the command bridge on the higher level. I'm not sure what to put in the lower section, but the upper section is mostly done except for the missing chart table. Any thoughts? Technic-heads, Ship-builders and Adventuresome fellows please chime in, as I am seeking feedback on this model. The LDD file is available here. Comments, Questions & Complaints are always welcome!
  13. Need to move your things or yourself from Aurek to Besh, nice and fast with no questions asked? You better call for The Blue Bantha II! This is a Corellian ‘Fastfreight 808’ Light Freighter / Transport, piloted by the infamous ‘Mamita Cho’ who is a particularly loud, extrovert, bad-tempered yet trustworthy and honorable female Echani. ‘’Laugh loud, love a leettle and liiive looong’’ as she likes to say; Mamita Cho is well-respected and few dare to cross her (the Echani are renowned martial arts experts) + let’s not forget her loyal crew ‘Spaklociondomo-grandia Rankkitognolosamerko XIV’ (Spaks) a High Devaronian royal outcast …and ‘Dave’ the Falleen. The craft opens mid-ship to reveal a long loading/unloading area (complete with repulsorlift mini-skiff) and there is a comfy passenger lounge with 4 beds for VIP passengers. The hyperdrive and a weapons rack are fitted to the ceiling of the bridge/cockpit area with side doors for easy access. The ship is armed with 2 x twin front lasers and a rear turret on the roof that can switch between laser & ion mode, usually with Dave on the controls. The cargo area roof has a large magna-clamp and a heavy rack for attaching most kinds of large freight container and the ship can easily carry most models of bus/atmospheric transports for inter-planetary travel, as long as they're space-worthy and can dock, they can fly!. If you read all the way down here, thanks for your time and don’t forget to look up Mamita Cho for all your smuggl… uummm, I mean long distance transport and logistics requirements! ;) https://www.flickr.com/photos/evilkirk/albums/72157686098258595/with/34998161044/
  14. Here is my entry for the SHIPtember 2016 contest. Mobquet Medium Transport by Veynom, on Flickr This year, I decided to build a Mobquet Medium Transport coming straight from the Star Wars Expanded Universe. Those among you who played to the X-Wing Alliance videogame or read the Dark Empire comics book must maybe remember it. Length: 104 studs Width: 34 studs This is my 5th SHIP. Mobquet Medium Transport by Veynom, on Flickr A small zoom on its "head": Mobquet Medium Transport by Veynom, on Flickr And on the back, with the engine exhausts: Mobquet Medium Transport by Veynom, on Flickr Please note that the back side is not fully conform to the original pictures. Normally, there should be 2 large engines at the bottom-read side. However, for playability reasons, I have decided not to display them. By removing them, the MOC can strongly land on the bottom repulsors and is much sturdier. My build technic is mainly about cladding panels around a strong technic backbone. I am still working on the inside as I want to make it playable for my son. However, here is a small sneak preview of one of the bays. More pictures later. Mobquet Medium Transport by Veynom, on Flickr A few features: A handle to easily carry it (and it is not too heavy according to my son) Opening panels on each sides (4 total) and on the top (also 4) in order to easily access the inside. Side panels can be used as access ramps A few visible studs inside the bays in order to attach small vehicles and ships Rear bay transport capacity: 6 speeder bikes (Empire or Clone Wars style) OR 4 speeder bikes & 2 pallets of equipment (small repair area) OR any 6 of the vehicles usually found within battle packs Central bay transport capacity: any of the below lines (all tested successfully) 2 Tank Droids (75015) 1 Mandalorien speeder 1 Jedi fighter (Aethersprite) 2 Geonosian fighters or Canon 2 clone light artillery guns 1 speeder bike with side-car Plenty of crates, or troops or whatever A few pictures from the build : I started by measuring the length, just to have an idea of what I ned to build SHIPtember 2016 Day 1: The beginning of the journey by Veynom, on Flickr Then I try transforming it into a strong backbone (with the handle, it has to be strong) SHIPtember 2016 Day 4: Assembling the backbone by Veynom, on Flickr After the first cargo area, I start the second, while testing the cladding technic. SHIPTEMBER going forward. by Veynom, on Flickr The idea of a double floor for the rear bay is born here .... simultaneously with my fear of not having enough plates to cover the entire surface. Ultimately, it was ok but I have no more black, dark blueish grey or green plates anymore. SHIPTember 2016 Day 27 by Veynom, on Flickr Almost finished .... on one side at least. The second side was still empty and panel-less. Mobquet Medium Transport by Veynom, on Flickr Mobquet Medium Transport by Veynom, on Flickr And a small image from the X-Wing Alliance game so that you may compare. I hope you enjoy it!

    Knor I

This is for the SHIPtember contest on Flickr. The contest is to design and build a SHIP (Super Huge Investment in Parts, a spaceship that is over 100 studs long) in the month of September. The minifig scale freighter I built weighs near 11 pounds, is 110 studs long, and is surprisingly sturdy. Some notable features: working overhead cranes, opening doors, a full interior, two small transport vehicles, and working landing gear. The Knor I is a middle class freighter that carries a four man crew. It's two small transport vehicles are docked at the landing pad in front of the bridge. With dual overhead cranes and loading docks the Knor I can load or unload its cargo quickly and efficiently. Numerous solar panels provide power for the large engines. Lots more pics can be seen here: link All C&C appreciated

    MOC: Tramp Steamer

Built out of the wreckage of the Black Pearl (lost at sea under the helm of a neighbor's 4-year old), here is a model of a turn-of-the-(last)-century freighter. I had wanted to do a freighter in LEGO ever since seeing plans of a steam schooner in a magazine some time ago, but finally got around to it :) And besides, my daughter was running out of space inthe LEGO rowboats for all the gear to take along on an expedition, so this solved that problem, as well! It has operating hatches and a crane, for loading those really heavy items. And a detailed interior....
