    [MOC/Collab] The Lost City

A collab for the Silhouette Category of the 2023 Summer Joust with Sean Mayo, Carter W, Eli Willsea, Micah Beideman and myself. Loosely based off of some concept art released with the announcement of Alto's Oddysey: The Lost City. Instead of making a 6 stud depth build myself, I thought it would be fun to have 6 builders build 1 stud depth "layers" and then compile them into one seamless image, and this is the result! The layers were built by the builders as follows: Dk Brown: Sean (Because Grant had to bail last minute) Reddish Brown: Me Dark Tan: Carter Sand Blue: Eli Medium Blue: Micah Medium Azure: Sean And now that I've dissed Grant for bailing last minute, I can also thank Grant for "breaking into" Eli's house and taking pictures of Eli's layer while Eli was out of town so that we could make it by the deadline! To Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior be the glory!

    [MOC] Ghostly Hideout

Hi everyone, It all started with a conversation on the LowLUG forum and someone said that he missed both the Wolfpack sets. I said that a lot of people don't know that there are 3 sets in the Wolfpack subtheme. I bought the set (1596) with 5 other special Castle sets (including Forestmen's Crossing) a few years ago. This is my own version of set 1596: Ghostly Hideout. Sander

    Lookout tower

Hello! It was my first MOC after switching from Lego Digital Designer to Studio. That was time, when I can learned how Studio works. Brave warriors are taking a rest on their post. Part of them are watching the area. Everything looks safely and quiet, but there is something worrisome in the cave... 4. I wanted to create some different areas based on the four elements represented by the four main elves, I've mixed parts from all kinds of different sets to create these places. This one is the earth themed home for Farran the Earth Elf. I wanted it to be part cottage, part treehouse. It's mostly parts from The Elves Treetop Hideaway and the Ewok Village sets. I attached my waterfall cave alongside the treehouse I also made a fire themed volcano cave with a tall treehouse/tower neighbouring it. It's mostly made from a Lego Friends set that has a cabin and a waterfall. I kept the cabin and built the tower above it and changed the waterfall into a volcano. I've created a workshop for the Air Elf Aira in one section of the tower with a bedroom above it, an observing platform with a telescope above that and a turret room on the top. The webisodes show that Azari the fire elf is homeless and just crashes with the other elves, but I've given her a warm place to sleep inside the volcano. I kept the camp beds in the cabin for the humans to sleep in when they visit Elvendale. And here's some random pictures..
  5. I Combined parts from Naida's Spa and the Water section of Skyra's Castle, so I guess it's not really a MOC, making a waterfall themed cave/home for Naida the water Elf and friends
  6. On a desolate snowy landscape an elf scout clad in bright mail is doing a patrol with his loyal husky companion. A closer look shows that this is a snow elf by his orange hair which is different than wood elves (whose hair is normally a brownish color), silver armor and irregular weaponry. Snow elves are the most the "Viking" like of the elves located on the aisle of Solitude. They don't wear the silly horned helmets or use any axes (all elves dislike axes), but they have been known to slip into a berserker rage and they love the thrill of battle. The snow elves also love sailing and are amazing ship makers. These snow elves have a governmental structure where the Council of Jarls (clan leaders) elect the Csarjarl who is the overall leader of the snow elf race. The Jarls also serve as war leaders. The snow elves worship the Nordic gods. There is no set uniform for the snow elf warriors and most warriors supply their own weapons and armor. That particular snow elf you're seeing is Feanor. Unlike most snow else he uses more reason and is less hot-headed. Feanor is a scout for Jarl Enradae and is doing a routine patrol. As usual his dog didn't say anything. Suddenly Feanor stopped, ears pricked and sword drawn. A low hissing sound is heard through the silent mountainside. Feanor strains his eyes and sees a red glow coming from a cave in the distance. He goes to investigate. (Inside the cave) An imposing dark figure identifiable as Lord Ravage is flanked by two of his same race as bodyguards facing a tall robed figure with a staff. The robed figure is flanked by one of his own race and two heavily armored serpentine-like creatures one of whom looks familiar. Lord Ravage (angrily) "Why did you bring me here wretch?" The robed figure (calmly) "To show you something." Lord Ravage advances threateningly. Lord Ravage (angrily) "Don't want my time!" The robed figure (still calmly) "Nice to meet you Lord Ravage, my people simply call me 'The Sorcerer', but you can call me Fred." Lord Ravage shakes with anger while Feanor watches with interest and increasing alarm. 'Fred' (with amusement) "So Ravage, do you want me to show you an unstoppable army to take over Historica with or would you rather attack me?" That catches Ravage's attention. Ravage almost attacks Fred but decides not to and manages to put his rage in check. Lord Ravage (with an eerie air of calm) "Very well then 'Fred' show me this 'army'." Fred gestures to the back of the cave where a multitude of chariots and a whole lot of snakes are located. Some of the snakes are opening eggs where their kindred are being stored. One of the snakes is forming and in the background there is a chariot. "This army" Feanor ran back to the Local Jarl's castle with urgent news of an invading army led by Fred. A bonus View of the chariot. The bad guys and their bodyguards. Thanks for looking. C and C welcome.

    The Observer-Tree

Hello fellow humans! Here is a build that i completed very early this year, after dedicating many, many hours to it over last year. When I was a kid, I always wanted to build a large tree house out of LEGO but never had the parts or the disposable income.. Now, I have both of those things, I thought it was time to get it on the drawing boards. I would have posted it heaps sooner, but these pics were taken for Bricks CULTURE magazine #6 and wanted to do the right thing by them and hold off until the next edition was out. As I'm still getting used to uploading images and yet to tweek the RAW ones to a usable file size, this is all i have for you to check out here.. Though if you'd like to check out some of the finer details and the rear side, please jump over to my Flickr account here and have a squiz! There is quite the philosophical story behind it all, but I'll leave that for the pages of BC. Thanks to Cristian Brunelli for the great photographic shots, as my camera, if you could call it that, wouldn't stand up to the task in the state of my studio. Oh yeah, just by the by, the chairlift, waterwheel and waterfalls all move thanks to the Power of a single XL PF Motor and a string of gearboxes.. And I'd be more than happy to prove it to you, if someone has some footage.. I was lucky enough to get these shots! haha! Anywho, Enjoy.

    Skogrbani's Lair

This is an entry into the Woodland Hideaway category of the Colossal Castle Contest, and the dragon is also an entry into the second Dragon Building Contest. The landscape design was inspired by Brother Steven’s Friosaelt Falls build. The dragon Skogrbani’s lair is hidden deep in the forest. Two unfortunately ignorant thieves thought it was a good idea to hide their loot by burying it in the woods just outside Skogrbani’s home… See more pictures on brickbuilt. Thanks for looking, comments and suggestions are welcome
  10. After the agents of the Crown and the much esteemed Oleander cartographers pinpointed the "almost exact" location of the Fountain of Youth according to the rumors already in circulation, an expedition from the already bustling city of Belson took off in order for the Fountain of Youth to be found for the glory of our mighty nation! Preparations were assigned to Hugo D' Offren, an officer of the Crown that had proved its value more than once on these rough lands across this hostile ocean that had already claimed many ships and sailors. Sadly for Hugo, the leadership of this expedition was assigned to an Oleander noble (obviously due to his closer family ties with the King), freshly arrived from the mainland. Ooh, how infuriating that was for Hugo, especially now that he had already established his name and capabilities at New Terra Islands... And so the expedition reached this underwater grotto that their big ships couldn't navigate in. Three rowboats were downed at the sea with their crew hand picked. One rowboat full of marines was to guard the entrance of this grotto from the cliff above, just in case... But obviously they had their fair share of action as well... ...while the rest were about to proceed inside. Hearty, muscular sailors started to row and navigate around shallow reefs with underwater eyes always fixed on them... And when the light was about to abandon them, they gasped in amazement... The cave they reached was glittering with something like gold dust in the air (later on, due to an Eslandolan invention called magnifying glass, they found out they were really small fireflies), it smelled strangely pleasing and above all... it was teeming with plants and vines! How could that be??? What we used to learn at our academies back home, was that plants couldn't survive without sunlight. Yet this underwater cave was full of glorious plants and vines! That must sure be the work of this small but deep pond in the middle of the cave... We had just discovered... The Fountain of Youth!!! What is not told at this story is that many years later, scientists found out that the water in the pond was not miraculous at all. It contained some forms of bacteria along with some sulfur that nourished the skin and made it look younger. But until then, we will let our protagonists be happy that they achieved immortality C&C always welcome! As always, a big thank you to Mpyromaxos for his lovely photographing and photo-editing capabilities! Also inspiration came from the always great Sid Meier (photo below), from Disney's PoTC and from the countless documentaries, books and stories i have read about the fascinating Age of Sails.

  12. Previous Builds Intro: Silent Wolf FB: "Flying Colt" Ch1 CatA: Ahoy, Fishermen! FB: Back at the Ranch... Silent Wolf and his friends spent a week with the natives. They were hosted by the village. During this time, they learned some of the information about this land. One of the surprising things they learned was that the village had been visited years ago by other men like the Corlanders. They discovered this when they heard the natives speaking some words that they recognized from their merchant and military missions in the Old World. The natives told Micah and his friends that the previous visitors had come a long time ago. Only the most elderly remembered them. The natives declared that the visitors had been crazy which is why they never came back. The visitors enjoyed spending their time inside the earth. Only crazy people go inside the earth, because every smart person knows it is dangerous. When Micah asked, no one was willing to show them where the hole into the earth was. Later, one of the young natives who was called Hanska told them that though the tribe was afraid of the hole in the ground and the loud noises that came out of it, he had been inside before. He would be willing to lead them there. Leaving Caleb with the ship, Micah, George, William and Arthur followed Hanska through the forest. A girl from the tribe who apparently was interested in Hanska followed the group from a distance. After walking for about an hour, they saw a large rock jutting out of the ground. As they moved torward it, they scared up what appeared to be a pig just like the ones they had back in the Old World. Haska told them they had been left by the former strangers and had grown quite wild and populous on the island. Upon arriving at the rock mound, Haska pulled the vegetation aside that blocked a tiny entrance into a narrow cave. The men lit the three torches they had brought and squeezed one by one through the opening. Descending into the cave, they saw a light up ahead. When Micah walked into a room of the cave, he saw a tiny rowboat sized opening that revealed that this cave opened into the ocean. Then he saw it! Chests and chests full of something! If the one that was broken up was any indication, it was a hidden treasure that had rested their for the last seventy years. They were all shocked! An overview of the MOC:

  14. Here is a fun way to make epic scenes using a very few number of pieces! Micro castle is awesome. Wade through danger Side Back That's MY treasure Side Microscale is really fun since you can build huge scenes with only 1/10th of the pieces! Helps on space and budget ;) I submitted this to LEGO Ideas, so it may even be made into a set one day! You can help make it happen if you vote for it here! Thank you for your time!

Ch. III Cat A. Men: Spying

Upon finding out the secret location of a cave the dwarves had hidden from the outside world, Edward von Graystar and Sir Gareth sent their best spies to infiltrate the cave and find out as much information as they can. In the darkest depth of the cave one such spy found a stockpile of weapons amassed for the war against the elves. This is the second part of a collab story with Sir Gareth and myself The goal was to show men spying on dwarves on a 16x16 base with minimal overhang. I'm quite proud of this build as this is the first time I've use snot rock work, but seeing as this is for a challenge I've decided to push myself to see what I can achieve All C&C welcome and all the best to everyone participating in the challenge!

    The Gold Mine

At a gold mine in Gorr, peril strikes! A lesser Guylinea dragon is attacking this gold mine. Luckily, another famous dragon-slayer is there to save the day. (Because the pictures with my sigifg in them turned out terrible ) Well... to sorta save the day. I tried to make this a (fairly) realistic gold mine. From the mine-shafts further up the mountain, workers shovel the loose rock and ore into this chute. It slides into a barrel waiting below. The barrel is on a swivel, and pours the mixture into the spring below. The fast-moving water washes away the dirt and rocks, but the gold stays in the streambed. Workers strain out the filtered gold using a greased sheepskin. Yay history! (Yeah, I could have posed the miner better, but this was basically a last-second addition when I couldn't find a gold pan ) This waterwheel powers a set of bellows in the base of the tower, making the forge hot enough to purify the gold. Finally, the gold is shipped out to the major cities of Kaliphlin. The cave, with a stream flowing out of it. My apologies for the lack of water pieces inside, as well as for the un-pressed-down gaps in the rocks. The landscaping. Why is there a random wall of bricks there? Oooohhh yeeahhh. , baby(If you know how to embed videos here, kindly enlighten me ) UoP Credits: +1 Tree technique +1 Studs up rocks and cliffs +1 Manufacturing +1 Flowing Water Thanks for viewing!

    (LoR) The Escape!

(LoR) Awakened por Mark of Falworth, en Flickr Mark of Falworth felt the warmth of the sun shine from the window, It singed his skin uncomfortably. He slowly and sleepily opened his eyes. The room was framed by sharp edges of granite pillars illuminated in the blood-red glow from a small pool of hissing lava at the bottom of the cave-like chamber. Still drowsy, Mark mumbled to himself. "This doesn't m-make sense." He closed his eyes. "...just a bad dream..." Mark opened his eyes again. "Oh no... Still in here... must be real..." Mark felt light-headed and weary. His effort to sit up was brought to a halt by a sudden jolt of pain deep in his neck, which convinced him to remain quiet. "Where... am.. I?" His eyes refused to stay open any longer. Mark fell back into his stupor... (LoR) Imprisoned! por Mark of Falworth, en Flickr Mark opened his eyes once more. The sun was still shining through the window just above him, and it was still dreadfully hot... "Enough of this! I m-must get out of here!" The pain in Mark's neck was still excruciating. But with a new-found sense of urgency he dragged himself up to a sitting position. As soon as his head was erect the pain tripled in intensity, and he felt an acute wave of dizziness come over him. If he wasn't sitting he would have surely fallen to the ground. Mark leaned back on the rough stonework and breathed deeply to try to shake this cloud of weakness. After what seemed like several hours, he felt significantly better. "Where am I?" Mark gazed about the room. The cave-like room betrayed no hints of his location. Then a new question arose. "Who...Who am...." A deep sense of horror flooded his mind. The horror of a LOST MEMORY! "WHO AM I!?!" Yes, the mighty blow to the back of Mark's head had put him in a coma for nearly a month! His memory, purpose, and perfect hair completely GONE! Mark looked down at his hands and feet. No shirt, a simple pair of trousers. Not a single clue as to his identity. Mark smiled at his terribly unfortunate circumstance. "Whoever I am, I'm in bad shape; this doesn't look like a room for welcome guests..." Mark sat in silence for a moment, pondering his situation. "Whoever owns this dismal place must wish me ill... And it's too hot... ...I think I shall escape!" He first turned to the window. Impossible. It was a mere slit in a thick wall of unyielding masonry... The door was also discouraging... a chance of escape seemed unlikely, since the massive brass hinges gleamed in the firelight, and the woodwork looked impressively solid... All hope seemed dim when he heard heavy footsteps approaching the door! Stiffly, but with haste, Mark laid back down on the stone slab. He would leap up and surprise whoever was coming in! (LoR) Looking in on the captive. por Mark of Falworth, en Flickr The metal lock on the door rattled as the door creaked slowly open. Mark squinted his eyes so as to appear asleep, but he could still roughly see what was going on. Two figures clad in black crept into the cell. The one with a soldier's bearing hefted a large axe. His other hand, full of jingling keys, pointed to where Mark was lying. "Still fast asleep, Sir. Just like yesterday." The other tall figure hardly appeared human. His blood-red eyes narrowed to slits. "He smiles still as well..." The guard took a closer look. "Maybe his face is deformed...?" The villainous being hissed with satisfaction. "I shall soon wipe that grin off when I sacrifice him to myself... Keep him here until tomorrow." The jail-keeper stiffened and saluted. "Thank you, Karain. I shall not fail you." Karain turned and vanished into the blackness. Then his words echoed back. "Pray you don't." (LoR) Desperation por Mark of Falworth, en Flickr Mark abandoned his initial plan of jumping at his captors the moment he caught sight of the large battle axe in the hands of the burly jailkeeper. Once his black-clad hosts left, Mark rose from the stone bench where he lay. "Sacrifice!?! Who on earth is that guy!?! Why does he want to sacrifice ME?!" He gazed around his cell in terror at the now calamitous situation. "They could have at least mentioned my name!" The questions in Mark's mind only multiplied. "What did I do to earn their hatred? Am I a bad person? Hmm, I think not. They seemed rather uncouth and malevolent... Meaning I may be a just and moral individual..." Mark's speculation was cut short when he recalled the severe time pressure. "Until tomorrow... That doesn't give me much time to escape... If I had a weapon of some sort I might surprise the guard!" Mark intently studied the floor of the room. Extremely rough, jagged stone surrounded him on all sides, but nothing of useful size could be pried free from the solid bedrock. Then Mark noticed the smoldering lava pool with a metal grate... "Forsooth! Those iron bars are free from the floor!" Our hero had hit upon a brilliant plan! (LoR) Fingers to the flames! por Mark of Falworth, en Flickr Mark plunged his hand into the searing heat, and with the fury of desperation, he snatched the iron bar from above the boiling pit. He quickly tossed the fiery rod under the stone bench and clenched his burnt appendage. The desire to scream from the intense pain was unbearable! Using the last shred of his self-control, he restrained himself. The slightest noise would ruin his chances of escape. It would be at least half an hour until the bar would be cool enough to use. He could almost taste it... freedom was close at (burnt) hand! (LoR) The Escape! por Mark of Falworth, en Flickr As soon as the iron bar was cooled, Mark began his well-thought plan. He pounded the door with all his might and screamed! "LET ME OUT OF HERE!! AUUUGGHHH!!! YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS!!" Mark then sneaked to the side behind the doorframe and waited, ready to pounce. Sure enough, the jailkeeper hastily unlocked the door and dashed in. He never knew what hit him... *KLANG!* *Ka-thump* "My apologies, Sir, but I really must be leaving." Mark stripped the armor off the unconscious guard. "It was certainly kind of you to wear such a nice suit of armor for me to take... Hist! This panoply might be a little on the small side." And with that, Mark leaped through the door and made his escape! To Be Continued! ------------------------------------ Some of you have probably seen this on Flickr already but I thought I would post it here too. ;) TFVHAGD!

    MOC Lego Cars Island

Hi all, This is the latest MOC I built after not having built anything for a long time. This MOC comes from the idea of making my son Omar a garage for his Lego Cars collection. After several attempts we finally decided to make a resort on an island The island has a cave that communicates with the interior saltwater lake. On the first floor is the island´s branch of Flo’s V8 Cafe from Radiator Springs. On the first floor their is multipurpose room, movie theater, and ballroom. On the third floor there is a gym with the most modern machines. Over the gym there is a terrace with stunning views of the ocean. All this is topped with the logo of the Island "Cars Island". Below there are some photos. Click on the images or links to view larger. Hope you like it. 20. As the goblins were preparing for another day of digging in the mines, the one know to the others as Grysnyk clambered up to the balcony the overseers used to give orders and address the laborers. He began speaking to the goblins going about their morning preparations. Grysnyk: Goblins of the North! Why do we labor here in the King's mines? Why are we treated as slaves? Why are we trodden underfoot like filth? Why do we let them do this to us?!? Don't you desire something better? Where you can be free? Goblins: Yes! Yes! Grysnyk: In a few minutes, the warden will come to enforce their cruel rule! When he does, seize him and do as you. See fit! Goblins: Yes! Dance of Time prolouge 001 by Carson Haupt, on Flickr The warden walked in, but it wasn't the usual. It was a new lad, fresh faced and nervous for his first day in the mines. With cries of murder and hate, the goblins swept up and seized him. He barely had time to recognize what was happening before it was over.
