    Batcave and Wayne Manor MOC

It's been a while since I've posted here, as you will see I've been busy. Now I think this is the largest LEGO Batcave in the world, someone correct me if I'm wrong. It took about a year and a half on and off and I can only guess somewhere between 50-100k pieces used. I honestly have no idea what the final number might be. It stands at a little over 2 meters tall. The pic with me in it for reference (I'm 6'4) 0 by Brent Waller, on Flickr It features a Wayne Manor on top, moving suit conveyor and rotating carousel for batmobiles down the bottom, integrated lighting and a bunch of little vignettes on the sides featuring villains and scenes from the history of Bat-lore 45 by Brent Waller, on Flickr 99 by Brent Waller, on Flickr 9 by Brent Waller, on Flickr 26 by Brent Waller, on Flickr 12 by Brent Waller, on Flickr I've just posted a couple of pics as there's so many, If you want to see more check out the Flickr album I'd recommend checking out the video walkthrough, I intend on doing a full commentary tour at some point soon too.

    Batcave MOC

Here is our LEGO Batcave. I realize there have been many amazing Batcave MOCS, but I wanted to give it a go anyhow. This is about 2 months of my LEGO building time. Lights are from Brickstuff. The biggest building challenge, besides the pure size, was to try to have decent rock work, and lots of different angles going on. Not sure the photos do that justice, but I was pretty happy with the overall result. I drew inspiration from some other MOC's I a have seen, and various incarnations of the Batcave in the comics. Also I have some minor homages to the previous LEGO Batcaves worked in, the Sewer from the first one, some of the details from the new Classic Batcave, and ..... very little I suppose from the 6860 set. I tried to go for a 'working' Batcave. Something with labs, work-spaces, etc. The wood section is supposed to be a leftover from the original foundation which was simply built up around. And I thought it was nice to add a little different color visually. There is a working elevator to an updated Wayne Manor that sits directly above the Batcave, I'll be adding photos of that soon. [MOC] Batmobile : The Predator

Hello People :) After all this time I’m back with a new creation . The reason you haven’t seen anything for so long is because I went through a process of rethinking the way I build . I used to mainly recreate models from Star Wars or DC comics , with a sole purpose of making the MOC look as accurate to the original as possible , sacrificing stability , playability and overall good structure most of the time . I was no longer satisfied with that . From now on my goals are to build MOCs that both look good , and also are fun , playable , contain smart play features and generally function well as toys. The first result of this “new style” is what you see below : my own original Batmobile. While it draws inspiration from a couple of Batmobiles ( mainly Arkham Knight’s and BvS’s) it is my own spin on the classic vehicle , the Predator . It’s packed with action features : a stud shooter turret , a “hook” style spring-loaded shooter, opening trunk with all the gear you’ll need ( batarangs , a new remote batarang made from some old knight helmet feathers , extra ammo and a line launcher ) and the ability to transform between two modes , one ideal for battles and one built for speed. Also, the turret can be swapped out for a winch , which can be attached to the front spring loaded shooter and then shot - you can catch enemies’ vehicles , bring down walls , shoot it towards a roof and then climb , the possibilities are endless. I have also built a display MOC for my Batmobile - which is the first segment of what will eventually become a full Batcave . It has working lights and spins slowly - as a car turntable should. I would love to hear your thoughts and opinions on this . Do you like this new style of building ? Do you like the look of the car ? What about the functions ? Do you want to see a full Batcave ? Your comments are very important to me :)

    BATCAVE INVASION Trailer

The Joker (Lego Batman Movie Version) and his super villain squad invade Batman's Batcave. Batman must form his own super hero squad from members of the Justice League to help ward off the threat! The trailer for an upcoming stopmotion animation I've been working on for the past two and a half weeks. I finished the final cut at around 7-8 yesterday and whipped up this small preview. I will be releasing this on my studio's YouTube channel (the same one you are watching the trailer on) on the 18th (Tuesday) so be sure to subscribe so you don't miss it! Thanks for watching!
  7. My favorite Batman: Brave and the Bold episode is "Last Bat on Earth!". For the Best of Batman rebrick contest I decided to try to create a post-apocalyptic Batcave. I built a new ruined batmobile since I don't have one. I really like how the broken batcomputer came out. It's not entered into the contest yet. I'm debating whether I should do more or perhaps order some more bat figures since it is supposed to be home to humanoid bats.

[MOC] A Batsuit for Every Occasion

A bit on the simplistic side, but a good way to display my collection of batsuits. I think I have 6, but I had to choose my 3 favorite as I ran out of black bricks. Comments and criticism welcome!

  10. Greetings to all Lego builders, collectors and enthusiasts. A sad day approaches for Batman? His once loved Batcave and home that gave my son hours of enjoyment is now sitting dormant. Pushed to the back the queue left only in the wake of a PlayStation 4, teenage sleep overs and girls god help us? I just wanted to share this Batman Batcave MOC playset that I built for my son before it gets sold on in time for the new Lego Batman movie release. Many hours were put in to its construction and I believe I used over 11000 official Lego bricks. LED lights were constructed throughout the whole build and are wired through the flooring and walls. I incorporated an IPhone 4 into a purpose built Lego monitor case which can be easily removed. Pre-set radar and scanner sequences were loaded onto the phone that I designed on Sony Vegas Movie Studio to give the look that Batman really did have the top tech to hunt down those villains. As the phone is Wi-Fi enabled it’s comical to watch a young lad discussing with a Batman mini fig what Lego YouTube movies to watch in the actual Batcave? I do not want to break any rules and risk the post being taken down so any advice on the best way to sell the model would be appreciated? It will perhaps be listed on a very well-known auction site in the near future if I’m not allowed to on the forums. Just for now I want to share this once loved Lego MOC build with all the Lego fans on the forum and wish you all well in 2017. I would be more than happy to answer any questions? Batcave 1966

My latest Moc.....Wayne Manor/ The Batcave.
  12. Recently modded control centre from the Batman and Superman vs Lex Luthor set from the Juniors range, including adding extra equipment, rotating chair, architectural details (finials etc), greebling and communications tech. Below a Ninjago vehicle modded quite some time ago including 'batmanning' it and giving it a jet ski.
  13. Hi Guys, Just wanted share my Classic TV Series Batcave MOD. After buying the set I felt it lacked a few finishing touches. These have been well documented in various reviews of the set. The main thing i wanted to to was make the outside feel like a complete Wayne Manor and the inside more 'cave' like I went on ebay and bought the 'Wayne Manor' section that was on sale split from the set. There are lots of these for sale, i picked mine up for about £25.00 and this had the majority of parts needed to cover the middle section. Plus i now have a second Wayne Manor study to use as a mini vignette. anyway let me know what you think, my plan is to change the hinges holding the middle roof section on to dark bluish grey and build up more cave to improve the aesthetics above the atomic pile.
  14. Hi everyone! I wanted to share with you one of my favorite MOCs as of late, "Mini Battle for the Batcave" (illustrations by flickr user Omar + Kazumi Ovalle). I actually finished this back in August but feel Omar's illustrations made it "pop" even more. I designed the model with playability in mind, so it has 10 play features including: 2 separable modules (Wayne Manor & Batcave), glow-in-the-dark stars, Batwing with working missiles, Joker truck with hidden guns, secret door to Batboat dock, Bruce Wayne, Batman transformation chamber, jail cell, Batwing landing pad, snap-on "Bat Ramp." Other fun details include the trophy room and Batsignal. My main sources of inspiration were the Tim Burton Batman movies and comics, with a little bit of influence from the Animated Series. The Joker ice cream truck is a nod to one featured in one of the original LEGO sets. This was a lot of fun make. If you have any suggestions or ideas, let me know. In particular, I'm interested in making more microscale Batman stuff. What characters and or vehicles would you like to see? This playset is on LEGO Ideas and is a collaborative project between myself and Ideas users, omarovalle (Illustrations) and mreilly44 (Toy Commercial Video) I would add more pictures, but I think my friend's video does the best job of showing the play features in action. The first 40 seconds, or so, is the toy commercial. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did filming it!

    Should I buy the Batcave?

Alright - Should I buy the Batcave set? It seems super cool, but it's also really pricey. Also, is there a way to get it a bit cheaper?
  16. The title of the thread is borrowed from the final minutes of Batman Begins between Alfred and Bruce. A lot of my progress on my build has been recorded in another thread found here: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=86363&st=25#entry1995899, but that thread has laid dormant for almost a year now and rather than resurface it, I felt as if there was enough work done to warrant a new thread. If you haven't seen it, check it out. It'll bring you up to speed. So where I left off was a cave that sits on a 4 foot by 4 foot base and I was quickly running out of room to add bigger and better features, so I tore down the southeast wall coincidentally, added an extra table, some more wood for support and bought three more 48x48 baseplates to get things under way. And then it sat... For months... Untouched by human hands... It looked like this until mid-June... I added in an aqua duct, mainly to support and brace the other and inner walls. I briefly covered this in my other thread... But I hated it. It was functional but not aesthetic and even using Lego physics, I couldn't even begin to justify its existence... So I tore it down and started over and came up with this design. My plans are to tile the sides and the center of the 8x8 grille plates, but I'm waiting on a ton of BL orders to come in and unfortunately, they're all in there. As you can see in the bottom left of that photo, I added a new platform. I was inspired by one of the comics where the cave features a similarly tiered structure, so I went for it. There are going to be three tiers total, with columns supporting each level, eventually. I'm trying to design a stairwell that will reach each tier, that's structurally sound and visibly appealing but I'm not quite there yet. I've got a few ideas up my sleeve, if anybody has any feedback or ideas, I'd greatly appreciate it! I had enough plates in my inventory to completely finish off the second tier to the structure. After a lot of back and forth, I picked up Man-Bat Attack #76011, I liked the helicopter a lot more than my original 2006 model but wasn't entirely sold on the new Nightwing but decided to grab it anyway, so I needed to add in a landing pad somewhere. So I finished off my columns, spanned the gap and added a pad on the top. I think the best feature that I've added so far is something that's not as mainstream with Batman and the Batcave but still an important part of the mythos none the less, access the the subway system of Gotham City, so I built a subway tunnel. The tunnel serves two purposes, one being it looks pretty cool if you ask me. The second is when I was laying out the expansion, to match my existing footprints, things weren't lining up 100% because of the indentations on the cave side walls on the other half whereas this section goes straight all the way down and doesn't indent. It's going to make things look less uniform, as you'll see later on but I'll do my best to blend it in or incorporate something into it so it looks as if it belongs. The tunnel features a manual sliding transfer section, that can join two storage track sections, that will be enclosed at a later time. Storage Position #1. Storage Position 2. I have it designed so when the transfer track is completely over into the second track, the edge of the platform stops on the side buffers. I will eventually incorporate a locking pin to add another level of detail to it. I've got a few ideas with what I want to do with this area, none of which I think will actually work with the space that I have, so I'm going to come up with a happy medium but it will be vehicle storage. I wanted to house a carousel that was featured in A Long Halloween but I don't think I'm going to go down that road. When I come to a final decision with what I'm going with, I'll enclose the tunnel accordingly. It's either going to be a stand alone cave enclosure or somehow built into this open half of the cave. Also, under the PF Battery Box, I blew a section of the wall out and created an entrance way into this half of the cave. Eventually it will be tied into the rest of this expansion using a catwalk system. One final thing I'm working on at the moment is a rotating suit chamber, similar in style to the one seen in the DoJ trailer... My hope is that they will release the battle suit shown in the trailer and I will keep it housed in here. It rotates manually and I'm going to try and hide the mechanism as best as I can. I could throw a motor on it but it seems like a lot of work for a small effect. Anyway, that's it for now. A lot of it is still underway and unfinished but I wanted to get these pictures out so I could post final product images as they're taken. I don't have a desktop at home so my updates and activity on the forums aren't a daily thing. Hope you guys enjoy the work so far, I've put a lot of time into it these last couple of months. The frustrating part is having an idea, executing it, running out of parts and waiting for bricklink orders. Any questions, comments, concerns, or ideas are welcome and greatly appreciated. Enjoy, TGB
  17. A few month's ago I've build Batman's Bat Hunter. It's not an official Batman vehicle Last week I've made some pictures of it (I am/was very busy with other LEGO mocs) I've created this MOC in 1,5 day. Short description of the moc: Batman use the Bat Hunter for keeping Gotham City safe. The Bat Hunter is a fast vehicle for patrolling around Gotham City. When riding the Bat Hunter, the wings are moving. The Bat Hunter is remote controlled by one PF medium motor, and for steering one PF medium motor. MOC - Another BATCAVE!

Not as extravagant as many Batcaves here, but I'm chuffed with the way it's turned out. Would have loved to have used the old Batcave, but had to settle with the new version. Very much inspired by BeKindRewind's MOC and includes a Tumbler I made based on Brett Waller's instructions. I altered the batcycle a little, removing the yellow wheels and pieces from it to look a bit cooler.
  19. Hi Everyone, I would like to present my latest version of the Batcave I've been building for some time. As I'm planning to upload the instructions for all the bat vehicles (and one nightwing bike) feel free to tell me wich one would you like to get first.

    MOC: Micro-scale Batcave

Holy micro-scale Batcave, Robin! Actually, it is not to scale with these microfigs at all, but I had to take a photo with them… More photos on Flickr, including lots of closeups! This was my entry for Nicks superhero base contest on flickr, though this MOC has been on my to-do list for a long time. The design is mostly based on Batman: The Animated Series, including the Batmobile and Batwing. The computer is inspired by TLG's Batcomputer, and the Batboat is lifted straight from the Lego Batman board game. I hope you enjoy! PS: Building rocks sucks. Building water sucks. :P

    Lego batcave 7783 help please?

My boyfriend gave the lego batcave set 7783 for christmas and he took the whole thing apart so I could have the fun of building it. Big mistake on his part because I'm trying to build the flying batship thing its the third vehicle you build with the big black wings on it. Well when I get to the second step I don't get what to do! http://www.peeron.com/scans/7783-1 The directions are here on page 12 but I don't get what pieces I use in the second step can someone please lend me a hand?

    Mr Wayne's secret

Hi, everyone! Today, I'd like to present you my newest MOC. It's a Batcave with the part of Wayne's manor. It is based on Nolan trilogy. The Batcave has a big black platform, a well(there little Bruce fell), the Batcomputer, the shelf of the batarangs. There are five floors in the house - three of them are modules. [/center] Thanks for watching!
