    [MOC - LDD) Bar

Where do minifigures go after a hard day at work? Where do they go on the weekends? Where do the frat guys hang out when they're not at the house? Why they're all down at the bar on Brickth St, of course. Let's check it out! Here's the bouncer. Looks like he's gotten into a scuffle recently. He performs ocular patdowns to see if the person wanting to get into the bar is cool. The musician up onstage rocking out to his sole fan. There's some booze in the background; he plays for exposure and booze, you know. Every bar has the guy in the Hawaiian shirt. If you don't kno who he is, you are him. In this scenario, the bartender is clearly not happy about this guy's drunkeness. And of course there is the girl being hit on by the guy she absolutely does not want to be hit on. Nothing wrong with jamming out, right? To get to the second floor, you need to take the stairs out the back. Posters on the walls. You can see the performer from up here. Someone is very happy about seeing out the windows. Trying to pick up girls. Pull away the walls, and you can see the bathroom. Toilet taken from an ebay seller named onemorebrick, and the sink is from hessianizer on flickr, which was incredibly weird to do on LDD. The roof and exterior/finishing. Glad you made it this far. Enjoy and would love comments/criticism.
  2. Mrs. Molly Jackson is the head of the town bookclub. She loves reading and is desperate to remain young and hip. But as she gets up there in age, she realizes she gets closer and closer to living in a rest home with the old and grouchy Mrs. Barbara Melvin the Granny who runs the dreaded Knitting Club. Gross! Normally, she wouldn't mind, but Molly has caught wind that some of her bookclub members (and their significant others and kids) might be joining the Knitting Club and are aiming to destroy the bookclub from the inside out! Come play and help Molly root out the scum, or be a scum and make sure knitting becomes the favorite past time of the town! 1) Have you ever played Mafia before, and what's your experience? If not, have you read some of the games we've had on here? 2) Can you commit to the game timewise? 3) What do you prefer to read? The game is designed for 10-12 people. After that, we'll have a reserve list. For your convenience, the rules (modified and stolen from Kintobor, who in turn stole from def) have been attached below, so everyone knows what they're getting into. The Rules 1. Each player will be given a character to play, who will be aligned with either the Book Club (Town) or the Knitting Club (Scum). To win the game, the Town must kill off all the Scum, while the Scum needs to outnumber the Town. Third-party (neutral) characters have their own win conditions as outlined in their roles. 2. Each day you will be able to vote to lynch a player. Voting is mandatory. Voting should be done in the following format; Vote: Character (Player). Similarly, unvoting is to be done in the format; Unvote: Character (Player). No other format will be accepted. A majority vote is required to lynch a player. Failure to vote will incur a 2-vote penalty the following game day. 3. A game day will last a maximum of 72 hours. You may not vote in the first 24 hours. The day will end when a majority vote has been reached after 72 hours. After the day has been concluded, a night stage will commence, which will last 48 hours. Night actions must be sent to the host in the first 20 hours of the night stage. 3.5. Players may not target the same player two nights in a row, and may not target themselves. 4. The alignment of lynched players, as well as those that died during the "Off-hour"/night, will be revealed at the beginning of the next "Hour"/day. 5. You may not quote or pretend to quote anything sent to or from you in PM with the game host, or in PM with any other players. This includes all the details of your character and role, as well as any night action results. Role claims and reporting of night action results are acceptable, but in your own words only. Do not attempt to use the structure of your role PM to your advantage. 6. Do not play the game outside the thread. Similarly, do not post out of character inside the thread. Game tactics and roles may only be discussed in the game thread or via PM with other players. Private discussion is done at your own risk and should be treated as part of the game. 7. If you are dead, you may not post in thread or discuss the game with any of the players. Any information you had becomes void, and may not be passed on. 8. You may not edit your posts. 9. You must post in every day thread. 10. If you encounter a problem or have a question, please contact the host via PM. 11. Violation of any of the above rules will result in a 5 vote penalty for the first offence, and death on your second offence. 12. There are no hints or clues in the day/night images.
  3. I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask, sorry mods! I'm looking for a PDF of the November-December 2011 Lego Club Magazine. If anyone has one, I would appreciate a link. Thanks!

  5. This electric high speed passenger train was inspired by both 7745 (High-Speed City Express Passenger Train Set) from 1985 and 60051 (High-Speed Passenger train) from 2014. The train features two locomotives (with no motors in either), one club car and four coaches. The roof of each car comes off to get at the inside, and all but the locomotives have interior details such as tables and chairs. (The cab cars are supposed to have generators and mechanical details, but I couldn't make it look good so they were removed.) The cabs on the two locomotives have computer screens for the drivers, but the rest of the open space is empty. You can add in PF / or 9v motors to either (or both!) of the locos, but I did not due to my personal preference of hand pushing things around. This car is one of four identical ones that all have removable roof sections. The club car's top roof section is removable to get at the upper floor, but the lower section is not accessible at all. (I did try unsuccessfully to make it work. The LDD file for this model is at brick safe. Please note, the red of the train can be completely replaced by blue, if you wanted to give it some variety. Comments, questions and suggestions are always welcome!

[9v MOC] CMF vig: March Harriet

Hello everyone! What kind of ideas pop into your head when you hear of a "cmf 8x8 vignette contest"? Mind you, I eventually thought of Micromotor, 9V, Fiber Optics and a matching figure capable of delivering the goods (hint: it did). Here's what came out of that idea... Just a dance club, folks! Nothing to see here, carry on... It is fairly tall for a vig, but it certainly works give the space restrictions. The dim lights were a pain to film in my setting, although I tried my best. The show must go on, no excuses allowed! And no regrets for that matter. Welcome the Catwoman from the Batman Movie franchise! Double the fun!! Some technical shots. The old 9V system is invaluable for how smoothly it integrates into Lego System. Fitting the fiber optics element into 8x8 was one hell of a task. At times I felt like a car thief on a job... The floor, oh, the floor! Don't even ask. Some bits and pieces. The pole absolutely had to be chrome - a choice afterwards regretted... I dare you to find a sound, functional and purist solution of proper length if you don't believe me. A rubber wheel was the only option of attaching the piece as far as my knowledge of pieces goes. ...And the heat goes on... Now that's a club I wouldn't at all mind visiting... Hope you had a great time here, be sure to visit soon! And something tells me you might just do that... Thanks for your attention! Let me know if you had as much fun as I did! x)

    new lego club

Hi folks, I hope im posting this in the right forum, as it does seem appropriate. For our UK members, especially those residing in and around Greater Manchester. There is a regular lego club each Tuesday in Manchester at the Koffee Pot on Oldham Street. They provide lego to play with and also you can bring your own. Newspaper article Looks good.

I was about to start sorting Heroica pieces and had the idea of using the microfigs for skittles, and it worked better than I had hoped.
  10. Hello everyone! I want to start this news by saying, that if this is the wrong place for this news, or I am not allowed to postnews here, I will kindly take this page down. I've rarely made topics, this may be my first or second. I only mean to comply with those administrators who operate this website. I mean no harm if I make a mistake. 11. Is there a way to see if my 2-year subscription to the magazine is up? It's just that I saw some talk about the May-June issue in the Historic forum and I haven't received it yet. If so, I can just renew but I just wanna make sure I don't end up getting double copies.
