  1. A small piece of chaos has always existed, a rouge element that refused to be tamed, lying hidden in the labyrinth of the inner city streets. But when the strange burning light becomes more aggressive, Alex Temnota is tasked with stopping it at all costs. But as the light's influence threatens to destroy everythinghis entire world, it becomes apparent that even the most extreme measures may not be enough. Don't believe that I've ever shared this here before. Hope you like it, and feel free to leave feedback!
  2. Edit: Please note that this thread includes a mixture of posts from the 2015 Pictures & Rumours which have been merged with appoah4's thread..... Thanks a lot for taking the time to respond. A lighter grey,in the palette as a compromise would indeed have been great, but you make do with what you have. Not that I'm second guessing your decisions, but I'd still like to point out that white doesn't look that bad on a transport ship like The Ghost, which isn't really that far removed from the Falcon as far as presentation goes.. I realize that it has a lot of bright colors to contrast with a bright white, but the white is also toned down with clever use of grey plating like it was done on ghost.. I guess I should just assemble the thing in white in LDD sometime and take a screengrab and see for myself :) EDIT: This is what it looks like at the end of Bag 6: Also, if I may ask one more question, was there ever an idea of giving The Ghost interior space a la Falcon? I promise, no more questions after this.
  3. Hello: This is my new MOC baja. It uses 2 L-motors for drive (not coupled) and a Servo motor for steering. It has full suspension with live axle rear (Like it should) and front positive caster independent suspension and working front lights. The batteries used are 9v made to work with custom adapers similer to 1nxtmonster 's called the MiniZip, but mine has 2 plugs instead of 1. (purists dont kill me) The front suspension is stablized by the 6L links elimiting almost all front-back free play in the suspension. Also the front suspension has no upper wishbon but it has a verticle axle holding it togeathe much like a MacPherson strut suspenion does, but the spring is not mounted to the hub. (see Image) It works quite well but does break if you drop it from over 3-4 feet or ~1.5 meters but it does the job for being as small as it is. Hope you like it All pictures HERE Bye
  4. As some of you may know LEGO is running a Technic Building Competition with Mercedes-Benz. I was looking forward to participate and it took me a while to understand what future truck would look like. Initial idea of building truck driven by both front and back axles was quite simple to implement. Two L-motors have been used for that. Steering is performed by Servo motor and truck is controlled remotely. Fun fact - chassis without aerodynamic cover is somewhat reversible and can be used up side down. Final model is very sturdy thanks to slick and strong body. Unfortunately, due to selected width rear axle is somewhat less reliable and has gear grinding upon start but drives normally afterwards. This is something wasn't possible to completely solve having double wheels per each side. [/url] Below you can check my vision of a truck in year 2045: Few more pictures can be found on my Flickr Stats: 2 L-motors for propulsion Servo motor for steering Small non-rechargeable battery box 44 studs long 17 studs wide 24 studs tall weights 1098g. no suspension
  5. Hey all, Been getting my bearings around the threads and all and I noticed something kind of worrying on the Custom Decal front. From what I've read there seems to be a difficulty with having white in you decal design. Especially if your are making your decals with something like Testors Waterslide decal paper or similar. My question is is there a reason that White can't be printed with a inkjet printer and show up on the decals. I know the reason why Metallic colors can't be done since Printers can't print metallic (which you think by now we would have ones with addable inks that can) without it just being Grey. I'm sorry if this has been explained else where I don't want to make a thread on a covered subject. But I thought I'd ask the experts. Main reason I ask is I want to have whites for the eyes of my minifigures with glasses like Good Cop's and also you got to have white for the Octan logo. Anyway let me know and I'll figure it out from the pros. Thanks all, Plokman

    [MOC] Grand Piano (White)

I made this model as a gift for my piano teacher. I'm going to conservatory, so I'm leaving her. (She did like it very much.) Large image: See more at my photostream!
  7. Haven't seen any MOCs of the new white TIEs from Star Wars 7 yet, wanted to change that. Have this. The first of Sienar's TIEs with a more efficient white-painted solar cell, the TIE/cs utilizes five long range disruptor cannons, fed by two large power sources on the top of the wing struts. The extremely high rate of fire on the high-powered disruptor cannons necessitated the use of two "static emitter arrays", or SEAs. The bright flashes of the excess electric arcs emanating from the SEAs and the heavy strobe effect of the disruptor cannons earned the TIE/cs the nickname "Blinder". Later models were given an anti-flash protective layer on the cockpit, as to not damage the pilot's eyes. MORE HERE gaaah, mods please change name to just [The Force Awakens MOC] TIE/cs "Blinder" please
  8. (I just noticed that the title got cut off. After the / it was supposed to say "shield," with a question mark.) I've been wondering for a while if the part pictured below, used to join Tahu's "lava surfboard" and Kopaka's "frost shield," came in colors that corresponded to the colors of the parts they're used on (silver and white, respectively). I recently looked it up and it turns out that a white one does exist (last used in 2011), and although a "silver metallic" one doesn't technically exist, I was able to find one calling its color "silver" (last used in 2003), which is close enough for me. Given that, I thought I'd pose this question: why do you think the Bionicle set designers didn't use this piece in colors better suited to match the pieces they were used on? I would have preferred if they had, because then the pieces wouldn't be so obvious or contrast so much, and I'll be replacing the piece with a silver one on my Tahu, once I get it. -Nomad

    MOC - Tumbler Full Set!

Finally completed my whole series and now I can put them into the glass shelf for display :P As you may have seen in my another thread, the black tumbler was the first to complete, and then the Bat, the camo-tumbler and finally the snow tumbler. I was however not satisfied with the camo one, and so I dismantled it and rebuilt it after getting the tan bricks I wanted. I spent nearly a month to make the cannon rotatable! Here I want to show you what I have got as the complete set, and inspire more fans to make MOC Batman stuff. Alright, the family photo! Featuring the Bat! The Bat + Black Tumbler Tumbler Set: Camo-tumbler, Black Tumbler and Snow Tumbler Close-up of the final camo-tumbler, which is just finished during weekend. I thought the brown bricks would be better to match the tumbler in the movie, but the contrast is too high for me and so I use the dark tan color instead. You may still see a little brown in some hidden places. You may already know that this tumbler is not symmetrical. The right side is turned into a turret like a real tank (while the other one is turned into a SAM turret). The turret can turn to the back, completely in 180 degree. Here it is shooting the Bat sideways... Hope you enjoy the creations! Let me know how I can further improve them as I am still an amateur (haha, even after playing for so many years as I see real crazy experts here! So I am only an amateur!) Thanks! [MOC] Snow White's wishing well

This is my first creation after aproximately 5 years of not doing anything with my LEGO bricks (I kept buying sets regularly though). I had to clean up a lot of pieces and as you may see, some pieces are still a bit dirty Anyhow, I present to you all the famous wishing well from Snow White. It's pretty simple but I liked how it turned out "Wanna know a secret...? Promise not to tell...? ...We are standing by a wishing well..." And if you're wondering... Snow White's bow is just standing still there on her hair. Visit my flickr page for upcoming Disney MOCs and custom minifigures. https://www.flickr.com/photos/123167517@N03/
  12. Hi all! This is my entry topic for [MINI] contest. I hope photos are not too heavy. Enjoy. This is "White dream" cargo plane inspired by Antonov 225. This is Antonov 225 Let's begin the overview with front view: Side view: - Front cargo bay opened and plane is tilted to load the TGV train. This is how original does it: Train loaded: But wait, there's more! Lets load a diesel locomotive in the rear cargo bay! - Done! Captain? - Ok, load all remaining cargo and start the checks. - Close all the hatches, we're preparing to take-off! - All pre-flight checks are done except landing gear check. - Rear landing gear checked! - Front landing gear checked! - Ok, perform the turn. - Start all engines, we're about to take-off! Vooooooooooooooshhhhhhhhhhhhh (6x times), (simultaneously), ( and VERY LOUD) - Taking-OFF Flies towards the sunset. Why this topic is a WIP? The model including cargo contains 199 parts. However there is a second variant of cargo load. Which brings us to 200 parts. And combining this cargo gives us a nice stand. So I just can't decide which one to use. They both are cool. So I want to ask YOU! What do you like more? In the mean time I'm slowly putting all parts to make one picture for a complete set. Hope you like it!
  13. Hi. When building Trial Truck for next race of Czech LTTT competition, I have decieded to build something really fast. I have not succeeded, this one is not fast, On the other hand, this is my first hot-rod with classic body style (my Willys-rod was something "special" :D ) So, this one is equipped with one 5292 RC buggy motor geared down from 20t bevel gear to new-style diff (see photo of chassis in album), one servo for steering, and both of them are powered by one Li-Po BB. This BB also powers two sets of lights. Unfortunatelly, probably because of weight of this car the V2 reciever often overheats and shuts down for a while the drive motor. In video you could see more info about it. (however, my Movie Maker or YTprofile is probably broken, it makes strange effects :D) More photos: WeirdCab HotRod WeirdCab HotRod WeirdCab HotRod WeirdCab HotRod WeirdCab HotRod WeirdCab HotRod WeirdCab HotRod chassis Hope you like it, critique or comments welcomed ;)
  14. I finally managed to complete this amazing project, which is to build my own studio. Behold, this is not just another modular building exercise. As an architect (not a LEGO architect but real architect, haha), I want to put what I learnt in school and work to the brick city. I went through the typical architectural process, from sketching to form study to actual building it, and it was fun! The idea comes from the basic LEGO bricks. If we can use the bricks for form study in architectural model, what if it grows and becomes the building? Also, during brick building, we actually just do two basic operations: addition and subtraction. Through these operations, spaces and voids are formed and make openings and skylights. This is what this studio is presenting. The new studio is not just a landmark in the city, but a milestone. It does not just create a building for functions and sit in the brick city, but it sets a new path and inject design culture into the town. Now let's take a look at the contemporary architecture style! (here I use the typical architectural presentation style, please enjoy!) I hope all of you enjoy this architectural project! Thanks! EDITED: My LEGO studio is finally up on LEGO Ideas, and please help and vote for it. Once it has 10000 votes, it will be assessed by LEGO to see if it can be a real product. Support me now, thanks!!! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/67217

    Porsche GT3 RS

Taking me nearly two weeks, I finally got the time to find the needed parts and build this super car. I did a Mustang some time ago, and I thought I should make and complete a super sports car series (so that they can really race in my city, haha). Now, here you go! I just parked my new Porsche GT3 RS! (oops, I just found that a light is tilted in front of the restaurant!) I tried very hard to make the car profile as close to the real one as possible, and here are some photos for comparison... I think the rear part is the best, and I even keep the center red tail light! I like the mix of 4-stud and 5-stud to achieve the tail profile... I can use white for the spoiler, but I guess it is more exaggerating to have it in red. Just a little test. Now it is placed next to the Mustang, and you can see the two different styles... I tried so many different windshields but none of them looks nice since I have a 6-to-4 car profile (bottom to top). I guess I will just leave the glass issue aside, as the car profile is more important than glass problem! Time for pedal to the metal! C'mon and start drifting and dragging!
  16. Between 42000 and 42025, white panels should be getting more common (and hopefully cheaper on BL). To those two sets, add a non-technic one - 70810 "Sea Cow" from the Lego Movie: http://jaysbrickblog...-ahead-to-2014/ I remember seeing someone post a picture of another set with 8 (?) male CV joints in red, but can't find the post anymore. What other sets in non-Technic theme have useful parts?
  17. So, this is what I have so far... A kimono-like decal that I am working on... But I really want to add details to it... However when I try to do that, it begins to look like sketch rather than the clothing of a lego minifigure... Anyone have any advice on how to make it look more detailed, without making it look too "busy"? Thanks, ~Deme

    40's General Van

Good morning! Here's a general 40's van I made, it could be a milk van, a mechanic's van, or a plumbers... who knows? Excuse the awful quality photos, I really need a proper camera :/ From the side, you can see that I lacked that dual seat part in white ( Does it even come in white? ) I think it looks okay despite that... The front is a bit low compared to the back. The rear would be 3 x 1 x 3 doors, but I don't have any, so I made do with a window piece with doors in them. Also red 1x1s for rear lights. The milkman clearly needs to buy new lights, only one of them is working.. Anyways, that's it for this MOC, please leave CC and feedback on what I can do to improve! Axle

    [MOC] - The white dragon

Hi all...i'm not a very active user over here but i appreciate the overall quality of moc's i see on this forum, so i wanted to share my latest creation: The white Dragon It started out to be a GARC racer but i liked the overall shape so good with just one pilot in the cabin that i couldn't break it apart ;) It's in some way inspired by manga mechas (the red wings and little antennas etc...) and was mostly build with exoforce and space police parts (plus some orders on bricklink for the final details) Actually the engine was meant to be something much bigger (http://www.flickr.co...157632734552194) , but i couldn't fit the hull around it so it had to shrink (and that was good). The white dragon is a mercenary class ship, super fast to transport his bounty hunter in every possible corner of the galaxy as fast as possible. (Here it is resting on it's refuel base) I hope you'll like it: Have a look at the whole set here: any comments&critics appreciated ;) (and sorry for the bad pictures..i need to get me some proper equipment to take better shots)

    MOC - Snow Tumbler!

Obviously, the beautiful white Batman minifigure needs something more. The black Batboat from 76000 (which I "goldified" too) does not suit him. Well, his white equipment should start with... ...a Tumbler first! And yes, it comes in white too! The whole build is based on my previous black version, with some parts modified but they are just tiny details. I also have a snap of the interior... So there is a black Tumbler, and also a white Tumbler! I guess Mr. Freeze has to be very alerted again as this white Tumbler will camouflaged in the snowy landscape and hit him badly! I still think the black one looks more sleek. What do you think?
