1940s detective office / pool hall with 8-wide car (heavy 10246 / 70921 MODs) finished 3/26/23
Murdoch17 posted a topic in LEGO Town
This seedy, rundown looking building is a heavily modified version of half of the 2015 set 10246 (Detective Office) from the modular building line. I removed the blue barber shop building and cookie-smuggling play features, and added an exterior staircase. I also added a billboard on the opposite wall taken from the Brick Tales pop-up book's cover, plus a new, simpler water tank on the roof. As you can see, the original medium nougat is changed to sand green, and the dark green awnings are now going to be old printed slopes, the red POOL neon sign is now printed round tiles, among MANY other things that were changed around. The upper floor features the quite messy detective's office. Papers everywhere, a hat stand with fedora, desk fan, quite a few places to store case info and a telephone. (I only added the phone) By comparison, the pool hall is pretty sparsely decorated, with a trophy on a stand, darts / dart board, pool cues, and billiard table. Oh yeah, there is a picture on the wall too. The front of the car is borrowed from set 70921 (Harley Quinn Cannonball Attack) from the LEGO Batman Movie theme, while the rear of the car borrows design cues liberally from a @hachiroku car, specifically his Hudson Hornet. I stretched out the older Hornet design to fit the frame provided by set 70921, and it actually worked out quite nicely. NOTE: this digital model is missing two of part 37352 (Slope, Curved 1 x 2 x 1) in black near the headlights. As far as play features go, the roof lifts off and the hood opens up. The car seats two figures (one per row) and features an engine up front. Thoughts, comments, questions, and complaints welcome!- 6 replies

[MOC]#94-3 Mouri Detective Agency based on Detective Conan Animation
bricksboy posted a topic in LEGO Town
MOC]#94-3 Mouri Detective Agency, Japan Office Building 3rd Floor It has been a month since I posted the 2nd floor of the building. Because I spent so much time creating the animation of the 3rd-floor video. The 3rd floor is Mouri Detective Agency based on Detective Conan animation. I put a lot of interior detail to match the one in Detective Conan animation. Welcome to check out my stop-motion animation: More MOC on my homepage: https://www.bricksboy.com/moc -

Pizza Restaurant and Detective office with delivery van (76108 / 79104 MOD)
Murdoch17 posted a topic in LEGO Town
This building was inspired by half of set 76108 (Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown) from the 2018 Marvel Comics line while the van is from set 79104 (Shellraiser Street Chase) from the 2013 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles line. The building has a new rear half to complete the model, which has a ladders and trap doors to get from floor to floor. The two bigger second floor windows on the front side are missing this print for the upstairs Detective agency. The rear of the building has the same details as the front, but without the pizzeria storefront. The first level of the building is the pizza restaurant, with plenty of seating, meat spit, pizza oven, and cash register. Up the ladder and on the second is the Detective Agency's office, with a large desk and arm chair, with a smaller chair opposite the desk. The third floor has the Detective's apartment, with bed, desk, and gun / evidence safe. The roof of this level has a large wooden tank for storing water. This heavily modified vehicle originally came from a 2013 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set. I added doors and printed logo tiles. The roof of the van is removable, so you can get at the drivers seat to place a figure such as the CMF Series 12 "Pizza Delivery Guy" there. The rear of the van holds two pizza's in the warmer. (This building, the mad scientist lab I build out of the other half of 76108 and the van are placed together on the part list I have, and should be built next month or so. Keep an eye on this space for more details and for real-world pictures as they become available!) As usual, Comments, Questions, Suggestions and Complaints are always welcome!- 2 replies

I recently received the CREATOR set "Corner Deli" (31050), and I decided it needed an upgrade to better fit my Town's standards. I added a third level and rear walls to all the models' floors. I added a desk for the private eye whose office is on the top floor, plus inside and outside seating on the street level for patrons of the deli. Unfortunately, my creative juices ran out by way of the second floor furniture, so it is sadly empty. The rear of the building features exposed brickwork in places giving this a New York City (or any older big city, really) like feel. The upstairs detective office features a desk, chair, and light with a secret hiding spot for something small, maybe a pistol. This floor is also lacking two of these printed windows. Sadly, their is nothing on this floor as I couldn't think of what to put in there. The Deli sign hooks onto the outdoor balcony, next to the rainwater downspout I added to every floor. The lowest floor features a delicatessen with a deep fryer, grill, indoor / outdoor seating and a serving window with cash register. This car was originally based on the car from set 10232, (Palace Cinema) along with a front end inspired by set 70906. (The Joker Notorious Low-rider) You can also build this car in red or black instead if you so desired. The rear of the car with the spare tire. The car features seating for one driver figure, plus a spare tire at the rear of the car on top of the opening trunk. The LDD file is available for both car and building at Brick-safe at this link. As I already have 90% of this build's parts already, I will be ordering this next along with the clock tower for my train station. Please keep an eye out for real-world pictures coming soon to this topic, and remember that comments, questions, and complaints are always welcome!

A small piece of chaos has always existed, a rouge element that refused to be tamed, lying hidden in the labyrinth of the inner city streets. But when the strange burning light becomes more aggressive, Alex Temnota is tasked with stopping it at all costs. But as the light's influence threatens to destroy everythinghis entire world, it becomes apparent that even the most extreme measures may not be enough. Don't believe that I've ever shared this here before. Hope you like it, and feel free to leave feedback!
