  1. Admitting I'm something of a purist at heart, most minifig customs I have done have no actual alteration (just mixed & matched lego parts) but my sister offered to paint one of my fedoras, and I was shocked at how much better it looked. It was a lesson in how far a little custom work can go. The Shadow is a comic hero that was the main inspiration for the original Batman, V for Vendetta, and many others. I hope you guys like this minfig, even slightly modified, as much as I do. "Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!"
  2. This is pretty self-explanatory. This thread is like the one where you suggest ideas for new Licensed themes. So... what would you like to see?

  4. A small piece of chaos has always existed, a rouge element that refused to be tamed, lying hidden in the labyrinth of the inner city streets. But when the strange burning light becomes more aggressive, Alex Temnota is tasked with stopping it at all costs. But as the light's influence threatens to destroy everythinghis entire world, it becomes apparent that even the most extreme measures may not be enough. Don't believe that I've ever shared this here before. Hope you like it, and feel free to leave feedback!

    MOC: Toa Sheelika

Toa Sheelika is a femme fatale-esque Toa of lightning. She's a thief and a murdered (in other words, a piraka) but at least she's got style. Sheelika is a character on Finnish Bionicle-ish novel project Klaanon and has been around since its beginning on 2010. There was this old MOC built by the character's creation. I used it as a reference material but made the color scheme starker and added some noir elements like the wide-brimmed hat (probably not canon) and a dramatic collar. I also made the weapons more stylised; I'm especially happy how nasty-looking the shield turned out. I made the mask with SYSTEM pieces. Noble Ruru would have been too small, it is a tad over-used and in the story Sheelika's kanohi is not Ruru but (argueably wether she really needs one) a mask of hypnosis. Building the mask made it possible to add some purple eyeliner so I'm happy with it. The eyes glow in the dark, by the way. There are more pictures and talk on my blog.
