Mini MOC - Battle of Bunker Hill

I decided to make this fun little MOC of the Battle of Bunker Hill, it turned out pretty ok. Not the best due to lack of peices but cool. Based off of the Continental armys' devastating fight against the brits, even though the british won, it felt like a loss for them... Here is the overlook of the MOC Here are some other angles! Hope you enjoyed it a little bit :)

    Wolfpack Castle

Hi! Since LEGO had no chance to throw a set of Castle Wolfpack, excluding 6075 for being little more than a tower I built this, to finally have a big and proper settlement. Not much to say. Despite the similarity of my old castle, this was started from scratch. I have a habit of making one or two pictures to my buildings so only have two. In this I have incorporated the yellow Guarded Inn where I used the parts I painted the yellow wall corner. You can see the results and comment.

    CCCXI Welsh Warband

CCCXI Welsh Warband by Mark of Falworth, on Flickr CCCXI Welsh Warband by Mark of Falworth, on Flickr CCCXI Welsh Warband by Mark of Falworth, on Flickr Throughout all of history, there is perhaps no people who have ever put up such a spirited and determined defense of their country as those of Wales. A culture literally pushed to the ends of the earth by waves of hostile invaders, they still strive for their precious freedom. Lightly armed, armored, and unparalleled in skill with the longbow, they are very dangerous, to say the least, in their mountainous, rugged homeland. An entry to the Custom Faction Category of the CCCXI http://www.classic-c...t11/prizes.html Thanks for viewing and have a great day!
  16. Can someone direct me to the best lego vehicle design such as humvees, helicopters, jets and tanks. Also any decals would be helpful because i am setting up a moc. So can someone please tell me the best way to do these mocs?
  17. Last weekend I was present at Brickmania Antwerpen, I contributed to possibly the largest pirate layout ever. 12 ships, 4 fortresses, 2 small islands and over 1000 minifigs filled the scene, a scene to remember I'd say. Besides the pirates there were many other things to see/do, I provided links to some galleries at the end of this post, be sure to check those out if you want to see more of the whole event. Contributors to the Pirate Layout: J.L. Hornblower La Luna Fortress + Army + baseplates Damaximus Mpya Stedor Bonaparte Eldorado Fortress + Prince of Whales + Minerve + Xebec Synbiote Islanders Island + small farm Sebeus I All other ships and responsible for posing minifigures, ships and creating action scenes diddesen (didier) Lighthouse Jean Marc Nimal no pictures alas... Unfortunatly Captain Greenhair was unable to show up and contribute... There were over 6000 vistors during the weekend. There's so much going on in the layout, too much to describe in one picture so I've taken several, yet most of it can be described in function of a battle between redcoats and bluecoats, enjoy . The French frigate Minerve has engaged the british brig Intersector, the redcoats are in for a hard time, the Minerve is bigger and more heavely armed and it gets worse... The minerve is backed up by the Zephyr! Yet hope is not lost for the redcoats... The mighty Prince of Wales is turning about to join the battle. Eldorado Fortress keeps watch over the naval activities and serves as a base for the redcoats. It is being supplied by small trading ships. While the battle at sea rages on something is stirring in the east... Mpya Stedor, the mighty Kaliphlin port city! Hundreds of riders are mobilized to support the redcoats on land. Backed up by a Xebec to provide coastal defense... ...Which is more than welcome since one of the british battleships stranded earlier... The battle takes place at the notorious French fortress known as La Luna... Hundreds of redcoats are preparing to fight the battle of their life... So are the bluecoats... Both sides have vast numbers... Yet at La Luna seaside life just goes on. Farore's Wind is preparing for battle and will soon join the Minerve and Zephyr to counter the Prince of Wales... However, a third party has risen to claim the sea... the Flying Dutchman will be making the outcome more uncertain than it already was. I took my job as action scene and minifig poser most serious Kids like to see these kind of details. But my favourite scene was this one: I hope you liked it, either way you should have been there, my pictures really don't do it justice. I should have known, my pictures are never of great quality when taken with artificial light, you can check the rest of the pictures at Brickshelf. Hopefully Damaximus will provide some of his pictures as well so I can update this post. Besides the pirate layout there were many other layouts, stands etc. It was often very busy so I had to guard the layout a lot, I used the opportunity to take pictures of it. If you wish to see more of the event than just the pirate layout you can check out these galleries: hanstolhuisen Tomsche MichaelOzzie Perhaps some other Belug members will also be posting detailed reports about the other layouts. Special thanks to Belug member Tomsche for providing some of the pictures I used in this post.
  18. I was going to ask this question in the LotR & The Hobbit 2013 Set Discussion Thread, but then I figured it might be better suited for it's own topic because a poll can be used here. This thread is also meant as a discussion about the pros and cons of buying each specific number of Mirkwood Elf Army sets. If mods disagree and want to merge it with the other thread then by all means. Personally I was planning on buying about 10 of the MEA sets in total. After taking a closer look though, I think 5 seems like a much more reasonable number. That way I can still get a good number of elves, orcs, and Wargs without going to crazy with the elves (or Thranduils). I will probably end up just buying another 10-20 Gundabad Orcs (with hair) on BL for hopefully under $4 a piece, 5 more elves to make it an even 20, and then buy 5 or so more of the dark brown Wargs. I am guessing the Wargs should easily be under $7 and closer to 6 since they are going to be available in such a cheap set (almost half the price of the Warg Attack set the gray Warg came in). Right now the gray Warg is barely over $8. As I already mentioned, I have no need for 30 more elves that 10 MEA sets would give me. I just got 20 of the Mirkwood Elf polybags last year so that would give me 40 green hooded elves and over 50 elves total! More importantly though, I don't want 10 Thranduils. Unlike Eomer in the Uruk-hai Army set, Thranduil's head piece makes him way to distinctive to serve as anything but Thranduil. With Eomer it was pretty easy to mix him in as a standard Rohan grunt. For this reason, and also the inclusion of so many elves, I don't see this set selling anywhere near as well as the Uruk-hai Army one did. I personally bought over 20 Uruk-hai Army sets and I know there were others who bought many more than that. People on average seemed to buy way more of that set than the 1-3 MEA they plan on buying too. So, how many Mikrwood Elf Army sets do YOU plan on buying and why?

    Battleship

Hi all, I have been experimenting with my first attempt at a battleship - photos attached. Comments or suggestions most welcome but keep in mind I have tried to cap the width of the ship at 14 studs to fit in with other ships eg LEGO's Maersk and I have tried to create a style ship more akin to WWI - WWII eras. The ship is still a work in progress although is unlikely to change drastically for now. Apologies in advance at quality of some of the pictures... bit blurry.
  20. Hello eurobrickers, I have been working on a castle themed MOC with a setting in the far east rather than the usual England/Germany settings. It's a simple design and I still have much to learn. I've added in heaps of minifigures to accompany the architecture too. Bricks and minifigs were sourced all around the world from ebay/bricklink and costed in the thousands >.< Some non-lego bricks were used for the curved slopes on the roofs to mimic the eastern architecture better. Some slightly modified Orient Expedition sets are evident and also a ninjago set in the background to add to the setting. Hope you guys like it =) Pic1 Pic2 Pic3 Pic4 Pic5 Pic6 Pic7 Pic8 Pic9 Pic10 Pic11 Pic12 Pic13 Pic14 I got the idea from this classic Orient Expedition set and my Main MOC is loosely based on it. I will work on improving the designs but for now, need to save $$$ ^_^

    Pegasus UAV

Hi, Lately I haven't come around posting any of my MOCs, however I felt that this had to change. So, to start of with, here's my latest creation: the Pegasus UAV. It's an unmanned remotely operated helicopter featuring the latest within surveillance and weapons technology. It was developed to operate from the new corvette (HMS Svea) that I'm currently working on (there's a sneak preview on it on one of the pictures). More information, specifications and pictures can be found over at Mocpages (pictures can also be found at Brickshelf when it goes public). Thanks for viewing. Regards, Wombat
  22. I have been really thinking about this lately. Do the Chima animals really think that the biggest battles are between 35 animals? I want to know this so I know which set I should get multiples of (and also so my wallet will beg for mercy.) IMO Crawley and Rascal are the most generic, but seriously, I need more input then just my mind.

    Blacktron Army Rising

I have enough SP3 officers, now it's time to build up the other guys. Ordered some parts, going to have to paint a few bits black, easy stuff. I'm annoyed that the one guy who has a bunch of Rench (New Blacktron) torsos wants over 2 dollars for them. I'm not too keen on spending 20 bucks for a few torsos, but I may not have a choice since Rench figures sell for even more -_- Anyway, here are some made up Blacktron troops. Just imagine them with Blacktron torsos: From left to right: Sniper, Infantry with pistols, Infantry with fancier goggles and rifle. Laser Armor-cutter (to wreck tank treads, walker-legs, break into fortresses, etc), Commando, Armored Artillery Guy lol Robot Drone Demolitions Guy (he ran out of hi-tech explosives!) Space Assault Troop (capable of fighting in space, zooming around sabotaging enemy craft and being a general nuisance) Experimental Weapons Guy (they test fancy new weapons in the battlefield)
