  1. The Empire of Corrington Nickname: The Scientific Kingdom Colors: Red and Black Flag: Quick Glance Compared to the other nations, Corrington is a highly scientific empire characteristic for order, consensus and firm principles. The Corlander Navy is relatively large and the empire boasts extensive, but sparsely populated, colonial possessions. Historically, most wealth have been generated through shipping, although property investment has been helped along by the large wealth brought in by its traders. During the first era, the legendary Corlander convoys were incredibly successful, and its escorts scoured the waters for any privateer daring to cross their paths. Corlanders typically make their carreer as scientists or inventors, naval or army officers, or civil servants, although several significant Corlanders have made their fortune in trade. All vocations are welcome, although staying on the right side of the law (and our beloved Queen's orders) makes for the most harmony amongst our ranks. As a Corlander, there are many ways to advance in Society! (See "The Government of Corrington" below") Signing up All Corlander citizens are welcomed to join Corrington's colonial efforts. To join, sign up in this thread with an introduction post that shows your sigfig. We encourage you to present your sig fig with a back story, but a few sentences are sufficient. (Check out this quick start guide) The Government of Corrington Three generations ago the monarchy instituted a new reform – representative government. Although the Queen is popular, she does not rule over the kingdom with absolute power. She shares it with the House of Representatives, the Noble Parliament, and the Parliament of Science. To ensure the safety of the Monarchy, the fourth branch of government, the Queen's Executive House commands the Royal Guard. Corlanders can pursue careers in all four branches of government, although it requires unquestionable loyalty and ability to reach the highest position of power. During the first era of colonial ventures, most positions have been filled by the old world elite (NPC's), but with the growing importance of the colonial possessions, this is like to change. Noble Parliament The Noble Parliament consists of the nobility of Corrington and is led by the Prime Minister. It directly commands the Royal Navy and the Royal Armed Forces, and controls all diplomatic relations, as well as upholds the law. House of Representatives The House of Representatives ensures broad representation in government, as all tax paying citizens are eligible for election. It controls the finances, taxes, industry, and commerce of the nation, as well as the colonial posessions. Parliament of Science The Parliament of Science consists of the most prominent scientists of Corrington and acts as an advisory institution for the Queen and the other branches of government. Queen's Executive House The Queen's Executive House ensures the safety of the Monarchy, and thus commands the Royal Guards. Further, the constabulary, Belson's famous patrolling policeforce, is under direct control of the Queen. (For more on the four branches of Government and how to advance, follow the links. All Corlanders are invited to pursue a career in government, either for their sig fig or another character. It will take both efforts and loyalty to advance, and progressively more so the higher the position, and positions may hold actual in game responsibility, but most active players will be able to advance to lower positions quite easily. If you are interested but in doubt how to advance, ask in this thread.) Leadership Queen Annetta (NPC) Queen Annetta by @Captain Dee Queen Annetta - Every Corlander would die for Queen Annetta, the heart of the empire. Because she has yet to find an equal mate, the Queen is the most popular person in the realm by far – suitors come from around the world to attempt to woo her. At 25, she is rich from the taxation on trade throughout the empire, and she is loved enough to have her own personal army – The Queen’s Guard. This unit is considered to be the crack troops of the empire, and all important campaigns include at least a company of these soldiers. Rumours in era I had her pregnant with someone's love child, but no baby was ever seen, and every loyal Corlander will tell you that it is nothing but vile slander by the enemies of the Crown. Admiral Woodbrose (SkaForHire, Co-Leader) As minister of the Colonies, he oversees the administrative aspects of expansion. A hard-nosed old sea buzzard who looks to please his niece (the Queen) by expanding trading policies in the New World. Although he sometimes wishes he was still a naval commander, he often turns to diplomacy to avoid major conflict. This is not to say that he doesn’t crush a rebellion or two, every once in a while. Technically, the Minister of the Colonies is the overseer of the Conquered Isles as well. However, the administrative duties as minister of the colonies have kept the good admiral from partaking as actively in the colonial ventures as he had hoped. Rear-Admiral Fletcher (Bregir, co-leader), Commander of the Terra Novan Fleet Commanding the Terra Novan Fleet, Rear-admiral Fletcher has had the responsibility for keeping the colonial possessions safe in close cooperation with the army ressources stationed there. He has functioned as chief military commander for all Corlander assets in Terra Nova during most of the first era, but has now a counterpart in Colonel Howe to take over command of all army assets. Under his, and his predecessors, rule, the Terra Novan fleet has been massively successful in keeping Corlander merchant shipping safe, taking prize after prize filling up the dockyards of Terra Nova. Middle-aged and unremarkable, Fletcher is an effective but discreet commander. Brigadier Howe (Ayrlego, support), Commander of the Colonial Army Headquarters Brigadier Sir Andrew Howe and Captain Bertram Rickard Wolf inspect troops in Arlinsport. Commanding the Corlander Colonial Army, Brigadier Sir Andrew Howe is responsible for the land component of Corlander defences in Terra Nova and works in close cooperation with his Naval superior, Rear Admiral Fletcher. Brigadier Howe has over 30 years service in the Corlander Army, most with the elite Queen's Own Foot Guard Regiment, whose uniform he still wears. As a Colonel he gained a reputation as the Queen's hatchet man in the Terra Nova, executing important missions directly on behalf of Her Majesties Government. Notably he commanded the first Corlander expedition to Isla de Victoria at the time of the Eslandolan Operation KMA. A master strategist and excellent tactician, Howe is known as a somewhat distant and stern commander who nevertheless inspires great confidence in the men under his command. Assisting Brigadier Sir Andrew Howe is Aide de Camp Captain Bertram Rickard Wolf. Captain Wolf is a descendant of the Wolf Clan, one of the Clans of northern Corrington. Previously he served in the Queen´s Rifles Regiment, a unit known for its unorthodox tactics. With his Rifles platoon he became the hero of the Battle of Golden Bay on Serentia, which secured Serentia for crown. His accomplishnents were noted by the High Command and he was chosen to serve as Brigadier Howe´s aide. Landscape Corrington has two administrative sections. The Mainland The mainland is mostly rolling hills with a small mountain chain running down the middle of the country. It is the northernmost country in Eastern Halos, and the winters in the North are often unbearable to many outsiders. Most of the freeholders grow potatoes, wheat, or cabbage, and raise livestock. Cows and pigs are plentiful, and the countryside is dotted with many small hamlets. However, the cities are bustling places that never sleep. The cities are well planned, kept clean, and order is maintained at all times. The largest city, and capital of the empire is Belson. Belson is home to one of the world’s foremost universities: Archeon College, the premier navigation school of the known world. Many other science fraternities and explorers clubs call the capital home. The public buildings within Bellson are immense in size, and command respect from even the greatest architect. Careful study of city planning, public function, and defense is second nature to a Corlander bureaucrat, noble, or adventurer. The Colonies The Colonies Administrative division oversees both The Conquered Isles, Tiberia, and any future colonies. The Conquered Isles The Conquered Isles were once four different countries, three of which were island nations; Belondia, Peppin, Myrph, and the Isle of Tam. However, all of these countries sided with Oleon in a series of conflicts over the last 200 years. The final territory was gained in the 49 Years War, the last major uprising and war with Oleon. Upon defeating Oleon, the last of the isles were taken to safeguard navigation routes into the Great Northern Ocean. Although now integrated into the culture of Corriginton, the Isles were once a rebellious people, and the source of many civil wars. Still separatists attempt to raise trouble so far away from the capital. Nova Terra A typical townhouse of Arlinsport - by @Mike S Corrington’s first colony in the Sea of Storms is Tiberia. Its provincial capital is Arlinsport, named after Queen Annetta’s father, King Arlin II. Arlinsport is known for its robust defenses and deep harbor, but it is the only such port on all of Tiberia. The city is the most developed colony of the nation, characterised by pretty townhouses placed in perfect order. The majority of the island is still not tamed by Corlanders, but the island is already home to a makeshift rum industry, thanks to sugar smuggling from LeBellan to the south. The national drink of Corrington has become rum quite quickly. Some traces of gold have been found on Tiberia, but not enough to be a fully functional mining economy. Because it is one of the only Sea of Storms islands that lie outside of the warm temperate zone, it cannot grow cash crops. This means that Arlinsport is mostly a trading post between the old world of Halos and the richer, foreign and colonial ports to the south and east. Arlinsport resembles a typical, orderly Corlander city. Corlanders tend to build in British or Scandinavian styles. They are diversified in their interests, but science and order governs all work. As such, Corlander cities are orderly and relatively clean. Many science fraternities are interested in what the New World has to offer, so new expeditions with a scientific premise are leaving for Terraversa, and Terra Nova, often. Corlanders have generally taken an anthropological interest towards natives, which has resulted in amiable relations to the new people encountered. History and Culture: Brief: Life is dominated by the concept of order. Science is valued, and has led to the best sea charts (also secret) in the world. The Queen is the most important person - she has a private army. There are four branches of government, and Corrington has claimed the largest landmasses during era I. Detailed: The Corlanders are a people who pride themselves on civilization and class above anything else. They look to further their lot in life through trade, and believe that order is more important than might, although they are not shy about utilizing might to establish order. The Royal Army wears red, but auxiliary units and private armies of this nation have been known to wear all sorts of different uniforms. Their building style tends to be mostly British and Scandinavian, and the capital is considered one of the most orderly and planned cities in the world (in fact they tore down the original capital 300 years ago to install a new grid system that the city followed.) Department of Time in King's Harbour by @Captain Dee Corlanders like to stick to a schedule, and this translates to their lives both on sea and land. As excellent navigators, they have charted and timed most of the sea routes, calculating averages for every point of the year. Corrigton’s merchant marine is one of the best organized in the world, and it is said that their secret charts keep them always “on time” when trading. Beyond charts, Corlanders believe that science will help them establish further order, so there are many universities and “science fraternities” throughout Corrington. Corrington holds the largest colonial territories, but they are sparsely populated. Many islands are home to nothing but a small trading post, and some are as of yet unsettled. All colonial territories were claimed during the first era of colonial expansion, so they are still in their infancy. The most developed region is the Southern Isles, home to a thriving industry and culture. The Northern Reaches is mainly known for its horses, although the island of Serentia may hold many unsolved mysteries. In the far east, the Paradise Isles are of great scientific interest harbouring some of the most fascinating flora and fauna of the Brick Seas, as well as the remnants of an ancient civilisation. Corrington and Oleon have constantly fought wars since their founding in 106AE. Some were as long as a century, others were a few months. The constant warfare has militarized both societies. The last major war was the 49 Years War. Ending in 590AE, that war was won by Corrington. (Although it lost to Oleon in the 8 month Juniper War just seven years ago). The 49 Years War secured the Isle of Tam, the last of the rebellious Conquered Isles, but cost the kingdom much of its treasure. For this reason, the people of Corrington have been taxed heavily over the last 25 years. Finally, as a present to her people on her 25th birthday, Queen Annetta has lowered the tax rate back to the traditional level. For some time now, however, Oleon and Corrington has been neutral. Corrington in the first era In Era I, Corrington quickly mastered the seas and perfected her methods of managing trade routes. The legendary convoys brought in exceptional profits to all who cooperated, and swiftly dealt with all who threatened its success, sweeping national and independent privateers and pirates from before them. With minimal losses, her convoys and escorts captured pirate ships at such an extraordinary rate that the shipyards are still working to repair all the ships. As a result, there are so many ships in drydock that the queen offers those who helps the Crown build ships full rights to the first prize captured. The explorers of the empire fanned out across the newly discovered areas in search of land and scientific discoveries. They traveled more extensively than all the other empires, and added massive numbers of new islands to the empire. Corrington claimed more islands than any other nation in both the Sea of Thieves and the Prio Seas. The government of Corrington was stable throughout the first era which is more than can be said of all the other nations in the region. There were periods of slowness in government decisions being made, but that is rumoured to be due to the fact that the empire was expanding faster than the information could be kept current. The expansion also prevented the scientists and cartographers from keeping up with the new discoveries which left some confusion for new settlers attempting to join the new colonies to the east. This slowed down the growth of the towns, which proved detrimental as shipping slowed down in the second half of Era I. However, due to the great profits of the first half of the Era, Corrington's citizens invested deeply in properties and business ventures in other nations and the slowed income from the lacklustre shipping acitivity was not detrimental to the citizens who stayed active in colonial ventures. In short, Corrington outpaced all her neighbors on the seas and in discoveries. Her shipyards are still humming away furthering her power on the seas, and it will take another era before any nation can rival the landmasses acquired by Corrington in the first era. Operation Pax Corlandia At the end of the first era, Eslandola declared war on Mardier and ousted them from Isla de Medio. This left uncertainty amongst inhabitants of the formerly Mardierien settlements, particularly in Matlo in the north, where fear of Eslandian prosecution and criminal plunder was widespread. To protect the rights of these citizens, Corrington magnanimously launched Operation Pax Corlandia. This lead to a diplomatic incident with Eslandola, who proved to be dead-set on securing the whole island in an aggressive expansion of their empire. The tension rose to new limits, and at one point, was was threatening. After tough negotiations, Corrington agreed to evacuate the city and its inhabitants to safeguard their rights on Corlander territory. This evacuation is currently in progress, marking a change in relations with Eslandola... For more on Corrington’s history, and that of its rivals, please see the History and Background thread. The Empire of Corrington Nickname: The Scientific Kingdom Colors: Red and Black Flag: Quick Glance: Corlanders are the best navigators, tend to have smaller, faster warships, and have a small colonial presence. They hold knowledge and order important, and guide everyday rule and expansion with the principles of the scientific method. Corrington is eager to accept new members, especially traders, craftsmen, privateers, naval officers, seamen, agriculturalists, scientists, and entrepreneurs. Membership Corrington is open for members. If you are adventurous, but like to belong to a well ordered machine, join Corrington! Its provincial capital is Arlinsport, named after Queen Annetta’s father, King Arlin II. Arlinsport is known for its robust defenses and deep harbor, but it is the only such port on all of Tiberia. Because it is one of the only Sea of Storms islands that lie outside of the warm temperate zone, it cannot grow cash crops. This means that Arlinsport is mostly a stopover for merchants going to the richer, foreign ports to the south. Although Arlinsport resembles a normal, orderly Corlander city, most of the settlements on the island are makeshift in their permanency, and thus come in all different shapes and sizes. Corlanders tend to build in British Caribbean style. Wood houses, wood forts, and plantations. They are diversified in their interests, but mostly agricultural due to lack of finding valuable materials. Their port cities have stone fortifications, but they are likely to extract from the land as much lumber or materials and move on. For this reason, there are few permanent Corrington settlements in New Terra. They are considered economic opportunists. Many of the science fraternities are interested in what the New World has to offer, so new expeditions with a scientific premise are leaving for Terraversa, and New Terra, often. Most Corlanders have little desire to deal with natives. 3. Science has also helped them develop better guns, but with these guns comes some sacrifices. For this reason, their ships tend to be less armed, but faster than their main rival: Oleon. Corrington is the weakest of the colonial powers. It has one major island in the “East Seas” and no colonial possessions in the Old World beyond the small conquered isles. They will use privateers when it suits them, and their lucrative trading in the empire and in the old world lends them some business savvy. 3. Announcement from the Corrington Era II main thread: "Chaotic, haphazard, piecemeal and plain disordered" stated Brigadier Howe. "All words used to describe the army's current dispositions in Terra Nova. A most un-Corlander state of affairs. It will not stand Captain. We must immediately bring order to the situation." Brigadier Howe and Captain Wolf strode past the assembled guard at one of Arlinsport's large forts. With a polite nod at the guard commander, Brigadier Howe continued "Our first priority shall be to carry out a compete audit of land based military units in the new world. Then we shall review their dispositions and ensure they are best placed to protect and defend our possessions and react to any situation. Each settlement the size of town and above should aim to have their own colonial militia for constabulary duties and immediate protection. Crown units will be dispersed where we judge them most needed. I wish to have two battalion sized forces at central locations ready for a rapid response to emerging threats or situations." "Aye Sir, I have a preliminary list for your review" replied Captain Wolf. "Excellent work. Our second priority will be a review of fortifications throughout our settlements." "Yes Sir. Additionally we have received correspondence from Colonel Allcock in the paradise isles. He is growing concerned over the disappearance of Don Isaac Montoya, who was last seen heading to Tortuga for discussions with the notorious Sea Rat Captain Benjamin Morgan" "Hmm, our nearest sizeable force will be Major Bradley's battalion in Port Woodhouse. Dispatch correspondence to Colonel Allcock and Major Bradley authorising Colonel Allcock's use of the battalion for recovery operations if deemed necessary. I will discuss the deployment of a naval force with Admiral Fletcher. For now I am not too concerned. But we must be ready to act. This is the perfect example of the need to better organise our military forces." With that the two officers went their separate ways to carry out the Queen's business. ------------------------------- A build for the appointment of land commanders for Corrington in Era II, a scene from this MOC was used in the new Corrington Thread. Heavily inspired by @Sebeus I's scene from the Oleon front page (I Need to order some bright light yellow bricks!!!). Placed in Arlinsport but will not be licensed.
  4. After completing his mission in Nova Malto, Major Bradley and his men are posted to the growing settlement of Port Woodhouse. There is however, no rest. His men have been issued with a new socket type bayonet and they begin drilling enthusiastically. Despite his previous musings, the targets are a nondescript tan colour... not greencoats! A quick build to show of the new Brickarms bayonets I acquired for my redcoats. I've been feeling the need for some bayonets for a while now and finally got around to ordering some! Will be licensed as a small educational to bring Port Woodhouse up to Town status!
  5. Situated astride the strategically important Garma's Strait, Port Woodhouse is planned to be the seat of the Corrish administration in the Paradise Isles. While the Royal Navy looks to the sheltered waters of Safety bay, the army is constructing barracks and planning the landward defences. Here a half-company parades outside their barracks for inspection by their officer. Sentries on guard duty look on from the attached watchtower. Just a quick build before the end of the month, trying to breath some life into Port Woodhouse! I'm attempting for a more 'classic' kind of feel, but using modern techniques. Also a good opportunity to display one of my half-companies ('Platoon' somehow seems too modern! ). I currently have just over two whole companies of redcoats, not that I'll probably ever use them all at once in a MOC - what can I say, I'm a tragic army builder! Anyway, hope you enjoy, will be licensed as a medium residence.
  6. March of the Grenadiers - Victoria Island (AKA Skaford Heights/Isle de Victoria) Colonel Sir Andrew Howe of the Queen's Own Foot Guards consulted the rough map that Captain William Bradley held as the men of Bradley's Grenadier company marched past. The Grenadiers formed the vanguard of the column that consisted of the Corlander force on Victoria Island. The Corlanders were on this island, claimed by Mardier yet settled by Eslandola, as an expeditionary force sent by Her Majesties government. Having accepted the justification for Eslandola's occupation of the island as stated by the Eslandolan Secretary of State, Her Majesties government had decided to aid in halting Mardier's influence in New Terra. Almost immediately after they arrived at this decision however, concerning news of a new proclamation from Terreli had reached Bellson. Apparently King Fernando had recalled all Eslandolan forces from the new world for unknown reasons - some even suggested he may march on Olean to claim the throne he disputed .... Tired of Mardier's constant attacks on her shipping, and wanting to curb Mardier's influence in the new world, Her Majesties Government had decided that Mardier could not be allowed to reoccupy the island that the Eslandolans were calling Isle de Victoria. As a result, the government had immediately dispatched a small military force under command of Colonel Sir Andrew Howe. His orders were clear. Resist any attempts by Mardier to reclaim the Island and protect any Eslandolan civilians who remained after the withdrawal of their military. Sir Andrew frowned, the map was not up to Corlander military standards... somewhere down the column a Major of Engineers was busy sketching away a more detailed version, but for now it was all they had. He was indeed a troubled man. A capable military commander, he believed there were too many unknown variables here. Corrington had yet to establish settlements in the Prio Sea, so the nearest Corlander settlement was quite a distance away. It was unknown how Mardier would react, there were rumours that elements within Eslandola had rejected their King's call to return to Eslandola, and most strange of all, the Colonial Ministry had included the following line in his official orders. "Be prepared to cooperate with and potentially work together with an Olean force under similar orders to your own." It was quite astounding - would he be working with bluecoats? absolutely unheard off.... what was this world coming to??? Sir Andrew's musing was interrupted by Captain Bradley. "Sir, according to this... ah... map, we should be arriving at the site identified by the Ministry for the new fort shortly after noon, if of course, we can keep up this pace" stated Captain Bradley. 8. Soldiers need somewhere to live too, so a barracks complex has been started in Abigail Park, a reserve close to the centre of the settlement of Mooreton Bay. Constructed of rough convict hewn sandstone, similar to Fort Denison, canny observers will note firing slits in the ground floor of the utilitarian structure. A while ago Major Dirk Allcock was able to arrange for a shipment of the New Pattern muskets that are starting to equip Corlander line regiments back in the old world. The detachment of the Light Company of the 47th Regiment of Foot that he commands will be armed with the new musket as a New World trial. Here, they conduct a demonstration of the new musket. Some Royal Marines, including the newly promoted Captain Stewart , together with some visiting Naval Officers, have come to watch the demonstration, as the new pattern musket has yet to be approved for Marine or Naval use. A quick build mainly to show off the Brick Arms muskets I was able to obtain at Canberra Brick Expo earlier in the month. I'll license the barracks as a residence. Any resemblance in the uniforms on the targets to the uniforms to those of other nations is purely... well intentional... you've got to train how you expect to fight right?!? I'm sure someone will call me a warmonger in outrage but seriously, no malice intended to our bluecoat friends Oh and the cannon design is from Captain Braunsfeld's Eslandolean 8th Army MOC.
  9. 18th century star fort

Greetings all, I am currently constructing my first MOC, an 18th century fort constructed in the Vauban star fort style. I will upload the work I have thus far. I have about 40% of the fort competed, just taking my time accumulating parts needed to finish it. I'm curious to hear any feedback or constructive criticism. I'm trying to make the fort as realistic as I can and any techniques or ideas on the bastions or merlons would be helpful. I've mostly been going off of pictures of forts from that era. Any feedback is appreciated! Thanks, https://www.flickr.com/photos/131835395@N05/? Images of progress.
  10. Hello everyone, I hope you've enjoyed my previous entry: Death At First Sight. As the Adventures of Purpearljellyblob continues, the Redcoats encounter another problem PIRATES! or is it? Enjoy! Special guests: Dr_Spock, Duck, Admiral Croissant, Mazin, Esurient, Frank Brick Wright C&C always appreciated and welcomed! :) EDIT: Full version of the comic uploaded for those who did not see the last panel (11th panel).
  11. Rule, Britain!

Hi, everyone. That's a new MOC http://www.us.lego.c...ae6874?index=10 Rule, Britain It is a historic moment after the battle of Trafalgar when a French admiral with hand cuffs puts the last version of the LEGO bluecoat flag down to King George III’s feet. Archbishop is on the right, Royal Court judge on the left. The throne is protected by 2 royal guards with white epaulets which you sent me together with a French flag. And the prisoner – by 2 classic red coats. The priest and hangman are waiting for a royal decision. I hope, LEGO fans will like my new set in Galleries and in LEGO Ideas. Please support
  12. Sunset mirage

Once upon a time some redcoats caught a pirate, an enemy of the British crown. He was so terrible that the royal guards and even yeomen were taking him by sea to the Tower of London. But the ship was attacked and sunk by his rascal friends. Still the redcoats won the battle and captured the pirate ship. You can see how she was damaged - almost no sails etc. Actually it's a combination of 6286 Skyll's Eye Schooner and 7416 a boat of the Oriental Expedition. Unfortunately I don't have sails for it and can't buy them anywhere. If you like it please support my 2 LEGO ideas projects and leave your comments here. Many thanks and happy building. Sorry, the picture isn't loading thogh I tried hard. Maybe later. You can see the ship completed with brick sails using this link. http://www.us.lego.com/en-us/gallery/cee9167d-0f50-422f-bac7-703551d52c60?index=5&categoryId=64929898-C52F-49D8-B106-C0C36314093C Principally Square-rigged, 3 masts 22B You can find the "Sunset mirage" photo here: http://www.us.lego.c...a9e3495?index=1 Below you can see 8286 and 7416. My link shows how I combined them. For example, I put small pirate flags near the cannons instead of gfeen ones.
  13. Imperial Armada Trading Post

Hello all! I haven't done any builds in a while, so one day when I was looking at some images of lego trading posts, I decided to make my own. I noticed I built stuff for my Bluecoats and Redcoats, but nothing for my Imperial Armada/Spanish. So, I decided to borrow the figures and flag from the Armada Flasghip and build a small trading post! Here we go. The frontal view of the trading post (excuse the slight slant of the pic). It features 5 minifigures, a rowboat with unloading cargo, a dock with an upper and lower part and a dock lamp. Spanish Captain talks to Merchant, other merchant starts to unload his cargo. A Armada soldier guards on top of the Trading Post. Imperial Armada Trading Post by James McGill, on Flickr Top view of the soldier, flag and cargo barrels on the top. Imperial Armada Trading Post 2 by James McGill, on Flickr Top pops off and reveals the interior which features a small table with a cup and two maps. It can fit a minifigure. Imperial Armada Trading Post interior by James McGill, on Flickr Lastly, the side view of the build. The Captain talks to the Merchant. There is a good look at the lamp and the cargo, and the side of the trading post. Imperial Armada Trading Post side by James McGill, on Flickr Thanks for reading!
  14. Hi, I'm planning to sale my Imperial Flagship. Because I move together with my girlfriend and she's not really into Lego, I want to sell it with a heavy heart. It's 100% complete, in very good condition. Box and instructions in excellent condition. It wasn't played with, just stood on my living room's shelf. I'm located in Germany, would ship worldwide. I'd prefer Bank Transfer, because of Paypal Fees. Pictures can be seen here: https://www.flickr.c...57652220182852/ Feel free to ask questions. If you are intersted in buying PM me. Cheers Sebastian
  15. [MOC] Imperial Fort Point Terran

Hello all! I've been building, rebuilding and adding to this build for quite a while. I built this fort because I recently got some of the new bluecoat sets, and I got the Bluecoat fort, and I thought it was a bit unfair for my Redcoats for not having a fort at all. So I made one. I would've posted this MOC sooner, but due to lack of water pieces, the MOC wasn't complete. Yesterday, I got enough water pieces to fill up the ocean part of the MOC. The Fort is not based off of anything really, I didn't use any pictures to build it, I sort of just built it. *Note* Although I'm posting it as complete, I'd really like some further suggestions, and the chances are I will add to the fort as I get more Bricks, maybe even expanding it or something. So if you have any suggestions/comments or even criticism, PLEASE share it. This is my first fort, and my 3rd Pirate MOC. Now, let's see the fort. Here is Fort Point Terran. Fort1 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Here is the front view of the fort. Do note, in some pictures the lighting may be a bit strange so please, forgive me. We have the front of the small fort, along with some rock the fort was built into. Off to the left, we see the Governor's rowboat arriving. Fort2 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr A close-up of the rocks. A fort's officer, and one of my favourite redcoat awaits the Admiral. Fort3 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr The back of the fort. The Fort's only cannons are at the back. I think it looks pretty good. Fort4 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr "The Governor's arrival". Here's a good look at the water. A fair mix of clear, dark and light blue bricks. Fort5 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr The left side of the fort. A parrot looks around, well sitting on the fort's wall. A bit more of the rocky wall, only a bit lighter. Fort6 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Okay, I don't see how the men can do this everyday. A super small space, with the fort's ammunition supply, cannons, soldiers, small "jail" and the Commander's table. Fort7 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Another view. Fort8 by BrickJamesWells, on Flickr Lastly, the overview of the fort. My personal favourite picture that depicts the fort, It shows the whole interior. Well, I've hope you've enjoyed. I will continue building forts, ships and vignettes for pirates. Please, tell me what you think, i'd love to know how to fix/update or expand the fort, or just see you opinion. Thanks for reading!

  17. Baynaise (work in progress)

  18. WIP Brig of War

163C UPDATE #1 http://www.eurobrick...5 UPDATE #2 http://www.eurobrick...5 This past year at the University, I ended up running across the Master and Commander series. After reading through them, it rekindled my love for the golden age of sail which in turn rekindled my desire to build a proper sailing ship out of Lego. My overall goal is to create as realistic a brig as possible (although I might take some creative liberties if I really want to). This is just my first draft of the project so some things are probably going to change before I am finished with her. Some bricks (lime green and orange) are simply place holders until I can get the right brick in the right color. Please ignore the poor photography. I didn't want to spend a whole lot of time worrying about the lighting. It is a WIP, after all. In case it's not clear, the quarterdeck only extends to the rearmost guns. Although it does seem a little wide, it's proportions are fairly consistent with some brigs, mainly USS Niagara. Here are the guns I plan on using. 18-pounder (left) and 12-pounder (right). More pictures available here. https://www.flickr.c...157644875567878. Could someone tell me or (better yet) show me a picture of how the bowsprit connects to the ship? Does it go through the deck like on a post ship or does it simply connect to the main deck? Comments and criticism welcome.
  19. Fort Portugal

Hi Everyone, I am pleased to share with you my latest MOC. When I had saw that a new pirate line was coming, I really wanted to try my hands at building a fort. I figured that it would be fun to do cliffs in another color than grey. I got inspired by the coast in Algarve to make the cliff in dark orange. I also decided to be very creative in naming my fort, and decided for naming it Fort Portugal. As I wanted to enjoy the build as much as possible, the fort is built on both sides. I have also added some play features. This fort took approximately 4 months to build. It is build on two XL baseplate and this is by far my largest build. Unfortunately, unless I move to a new house, I would not be able to build anything bigger. I hope you will like it. Better quality pictures are on my Flickr. Under the kitchen is a barrel, with a secret passage. The passage leads to a secret entrance in the cliffs but also to cave where the sirens are protecting an impressive treasure. The fort is also home to a prison where the most ferocious pirates are held. The pirate captains have the honor of a private cell. The gate of the cell can be opened. Here is an overview of the back. I have shown the play feature included. For the purpose of these pictures, I did not show this MOC in the dark (I could not get good quality picures). However, there are lights in each of the prison cells, in the towers, in the command area, in the kitchen and in the cave. Final picture of the MOC. I hope you enjoyed!
  20. [pid][/pid] 250A Report 1236634.5 Dear historians,I am writing to you in this old dead language because I am in Port Royal, right before the battle witch influance the history of the world in the next centuries will start. It is not easy to write in this language, but I think it suits well to that time and area.At first I want to show you Port Royal before the battle. Here you can the the port itself, it is build to be a save bay for all merchants and the imperial fleet. It would be very difficult to attack the harbor directly. You see the imperial tradingpost 6265 Sabre Island, 6266 Canon Cove, 6244 Armada Sentry Imperial Trading Post 6277, Imperial Outpost 6263, 6276 Eldorado Fortress and hidden the 6259 Broadsides Brig 6242 Soldiers-Fort, 6267 Lagoon Lock-Up A few days before today, the bluscodes conquered the 6271 Imperial Flagship. 6274 Cari. Clipper is also damaged in harbor. This is a part of the city, with 4183 the Mill and 4193 Escape from London and 6259 Broadsides Brig This is the market, and on the other side of the street are a few houses. Look, a bad pirate is kidnapping the girl on the balcony Look, we are lucky to see the famous Capt. Roger Redbeard while buying a map. Thats the backside of the Towngate of Port Royal Ohhh, the battle just began!!! Governor Broadeside has his headquater for the battle on the top of the towngate. The Admiral of the Redcoats are in the back of his armee near to 1872 Imperial Guard Camp and 6247 Bounty Boat Thats a overview of the beginning battle. bluecoats are organized in several regiments, the Red.... the white, the yellow and the guards of the Governor (under the flag of the crossing sabre) The Reds have 4 regiments, too. Here the Yellow. The red regiment. We see here the first exciting action of the battle. The Redcoats broken the lines of the yellow regiment of the bluecoats at the westside of the battleground. The blue regiment of the redcoats have done a great job and they have a target. They try to enter the strategicly important 1795 Imperial Cananon, but look the Guards of the Governor is entering the westside of the battlegroung to defeat the Imperial Cannon and rescue the yellow regiment. The allied of the Redcotas, the Armada, is attacking at the weakpoint of the bluecoats as well. In the meanwhile the Cannonball and the 10210 Imperial Flagship is fighting near to the cost. Armada Flagship is also fireing, but it is in troubble itself.... because it is under fire of 6245 Harbor Sentry How will tghe battle end? 24. MOC: R.S. Neptune

UPDATE it's a WIP now More in last post _________________________________________________________________________________________ [pid][/pid] 150D Hi Here's my latest MOC. This is Redcoats Ship Neptune: And with the crew: She is a 2-gun-deck ship built with a slope-tumblehome technique: An eagle-eye view: As she was built as a playable toy for my kids, Neptune is very solid. It is the first MOC I started to build - but finished second - after Redskull sloop. I also thought that Neptune will be my opus magnum, but that's not true - I am already working on another ship (for bluecoats) which will be better for sure. Here's another look on Neptune's brave crew: The poop deck: Let's look into captain's cabin: Redcoating ain't easy... Cabin is also accesible from the stern: Like this: Stern: Here you can see hammocks: Gundeck is also accesible: Capstan works for both anchors and crane. Sorry for a bit fuzzy pictures. Neptune was built to chase and fight pirate ships: QAR, BP and aforementioned Redskull. That's why she has untypical rigging with four masts (with machine sewn PvC fabric sails). Here's my BS folder (when public) C&C welcomed Ahoy!
  25. [MOC] Frigate HMS Jupiter

166D Ahoy, time for a more serious attempt to build a ship: This is the HMS Jupiter (3rd generation). The model is loosely based on the HMS Diana (many non-lego models seem to be around - check out this e.g. http://www.modelship...Diana_I_eng.htm) So, we have the captain: ... and his crew (with many custom cannons)... There she is sailing away: Some different custom cannons on deck: ... not to forget Jupiter himself: .. and one of two custom carronades: The ship is built in a modular way: For some strange reason Emmet found his way onboard but he found himself equally terrified by a crew member and by the ship's goat. (Oh, no monkey on this one) This is a joint collaboration of me and my son and we are both happy and proud about the result. Please send your comments! (Actually, the HMS Jupiter does not look so yellow in reality. I still need to convince my photo editing program to produce something decent... )
