    [MOC] Volvo XC90 Ambulance

    Thanks, glad you like it.

    [MOC] Volvo XC90 Ambulance

Thanks, really glad you found it so easily recognizable. I tried my very best to get as much detail in as I could and overall I'm happy with how much I was able to cram in – the one thing that I didn't which I really wish I had was to have the Paramedic sitting next to the patient facing forward as in the real ambulance, but it just wasn't feasible within the given space.

[MOC] Military aircrafts in 1:125 scale

Hi! I'd thought I'd share some more of my military aircrafts in this scale (1:125). Second out is the russian SU-35S. The Sukhoi SU-35S (NATO reporting name Flanker E) is a twin-engine supermaneuverable multi-role/air superiority fighter designed by Sukhoi Design Bureau. It’s operated by the Russian, Chinese and Egyptian air forces and first entered operational service with the Russian Air Force in 2014. The SU-35S measures 21.9m in length and has a wingspan of 15.3m. It has a top speed of Mach 2.25, is capable of supercruise and has a total of twelve hardpoints on which it can carry a variety of weapons. The model consists of 169 pieces, not including any weapons. I’m fairly pleased with the overall shape and design, and I personally quite like the look of the blue camouflage. As previously, if you'd like to see more there are additioonal photos on my Instagram and on my Flickr.

    [MOC] AT-TE and LAAT/i in 1:125 scale

Thanks! Yeah it's my favorite of the two too, really like the angles of it. And I really enjoyed designing the microfigs, made myself quite a few Jedis – might try and feature some of them in my upcoming builds (Ahsoka might fancy some good Droid bashing).

    [MOC] Volvo XC90 Ambulance

Thanks everyone! The front was probably the part that I spent the most time designing, so I'm very glad you all liked it. I tried many different options to try and replicate the Volvo emblem on the grill before I came up with this design using the Ice skate. As I already from the start knew I wanted to have a detailed interior with lots of playability, I'm very pleased with the actual amount of detail I was able to cram in to the build – the Panel pieces really was a lifesaver.

    [MOC] Volvo XC90 Ambulance

Hi! I would like to share with you my latest build, the Volvo XC90 Ambulance. Or the fact is I built this a few months back, but never rendered any images of it. I've always thought that the Volvo XC90 Ambulance is a really good looking ambulance, so I wanted to try and build it with Lego. The model is built in roughly minifigure scale (1:35) and consists of 618 pieces (including all the gear and equipment). It was very much designed with playability in mind, and it features opening doors, opening rear hatch, a stretcher with folding wheels that can be slided in/out, easily removable roofs to access the interior and loads of storage for all the medical equipment. It seats two paramedics in the front, and two paramedics and one patient in the back. I'm very happy that I decided to render some images of it, as it looks so much better then it did in the studio. I think that the reflective paint scheme works well, and I'm pleased with how the front came out (the Ice skate works very well as the Volvo logo on the grill). The Volvo XC-90 Ambulance is manufactured by Nilsson Special Vehicles in Sweden. The ambulance is used by the ambulance services in Sweden, Norway, Switzerland and the Netherlands. It’s based on the Volvo XC90 chassis, with the wheel base increased by one meter and with a added medical cabin made of light and strong carbon fiber. The XC90 Ambulance has a high ground clearance and is as standard fitted with a powerful 235hp engine, automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive (AWD) making it well suited for the harsh Swedish climate and capable of handling challenging road conditions. Another key advantage with the XC90 Ambulance is that it can be driven with a normal drivers license as it – even when utilizing its massive 700kg payload capacity – weighs in under 3,500kg. The ambulance was designed with ergonomic and accessibility in mind as to allow the paramedics to safely give the best possible care to the patient during transport. [MOC] AT-TE and LAAT/i in 1:125 scale

Those look great, now I feel like I really should make the LAAT/c to go with the others. Might have a go at it after I finish the SU-35 to go along with my JAS Gripen E fighter. Thanks, I'm really pleased with them. I took inspiration from 3studman over on Instagram, but went with a different design for the "arms" and weapons.

[MOC] Military aircrafts in 1:125 scale

Thank you! I'm currently working on a SU-35 as so that my Gripen will have something to shoot at. As I'm really enjoying building at this scale, I will most likely do more fighters in this scale. Although not in the same scale, I have done quite a few warships in the past (including a ten feet minifig scale frigate). If I manage to dig up some old images I might upload them to my Instagram and Flickr. But I would certainly like to give a warship at this scale a go – I would love to build the Visby class corvette, but I'll admit that her angles seem terrifyingly difficult to try and replicate.

    [MOC] AT-TE and LAAT/i in 1:125 scale

Thanks, glad you like them. I did start some work on the LAAT/c, however, I didn't finish it. But I might start working on it again and finish it. I haven't made any instructions as of yet, but if there is some interest then I might do that.
  10. Hi! I've always had a military interest, so when I recently started building and designing with Lego again after a few years break it was natural for me to want to build the Gripen which I think is one of the most good-looking aircrafts there is (apart from also being a formidable fighter). The model is built in the scale of one stud equals one meter (1:125 scale). The aircraft itself consists of 88 pieces, not including any weapons. Given the small scale, I’m very pleased with the overall shape and design. Just as the real Gripen, the model can carry a variety of weapons. The model also features attachable/detachable landing gear, and a very high degree of ”swooshability”. The Saab JAS 39 Gripen (English: griffin) is a light-weight single-engine multirole fighter aircraft manufactured by Saab and currently in service with the Swedish, Brazilian, Czech, Hungarian, South African and Royal Thai air forces. The Gripen has a delta wing and canard configuration and measures 15.2 meters in length with a wingspan of 8.6 meters. The newest version, Gripen E, has ten hardpoints on which it can carry a variety of weapons and sensors. This latest version also features a more powerful engine, enabling it to reach speeds of Mach 2 and making it capable of supercruise. Landing gear retracted (detached). Landing gear deployed (attached). - "Fyr!" (english: fire) If you would like to see more images of these models, or have a look on some of my other work, please check out my Instagram or Flickr. Sincerely, Dammtuss (a.k.a. Björnbrorsan)
  11. Hi! During this summer I've gotten back into building with and designing Lego creations after several years abscence. Two of the first MOCs that I designed are these two. Both of the models are built in the scale of 1:125, meaning that one stud equals one meter (just over three feet). The AT-TE consists of 152 pieces, and the LAAT/i of 198. The AT-TE features rotating guns and (somewhat) poseable legs. The LAAT/i features an opening rear ramp, "sliding" (moveable) side doors, rotating guns and is capable of holding up to ten microfigs. Both xig_brick and ridgedbrick over on Instagram have been huge sources of inspiration. If you would like to see more images of these models, or have a look on some of my other work, please check out my Instagram or Flickr. Best Regards, Dammtuss (a.k.a. Björnbrorsan)

    Pegasus UAV

First of, thanks for commenting! I was considering brick-building the nose camera, however, I thought that the designs I testedwere too big or too bulky. I also thought that the prints on the R2-D2's head reassembled what I wanted it to look like... But I might try my hands on a brick-built version. Thank you. I am pleased with how it turned out, but I do agree that R2-D2's head might not be the ideal solution, so I will try to find some kind of replacement for it. Oh, and it's 123 pieces in it. Regards, Wombat
  13. Hi, Lately I've been working on a new ship (since I scrapped my old one, HMS Vasa). Although she is going to be smaller (just shy of one and a half meter) she will feature more details. Hopefully I will have some preview photos to show within a week or so (if you'd like, there is a somewhat blurry picture here with her in the background)... Anyway, without further ado, let me present three different types of weaponry built for her. First of, a 76mm cannon which is somewhat inspired by the Oto Melara 76mm Super-Rapido Gun: RAM Launcher (actually think I just might give custom stickers a chance to represent the 21 missiles): Phalanx CIWS (however, I'm now leaning towards not arming her with the Phalanx CIWS): More pictures can be found at MocPages and Brickshelf. Please do comment. Cheers, Wombat

    Pegasus UAV

Hi, Lately I haven't come around posting any of my MOCs, however I felt that this had to change. So, to start of with, here's my latest creation: the Pegasus UAV. It's an unmanned remotely operated helicopter featuring the latest within surveillance and weapons technology. It was developed to operate from the new corvette (HMS Svea) that I'm currently working on (there's a sneak preview on it on one of the pictures). More information, specifications and pictures can be found over at Mocpages (pictures can also be found at Brickshelf when it goes public). Thanks for viewing. Regards, Wombat

    Cannons

Thanks guys for all the nice feedback. As stated in my first post, and as Mister Phes so kindly pointed out, I would have loved to have the 12 pounders cannon in white too, however, I didn't have enough of the wedge plate... I also considered using another color then white (was leaning towards redish brown), but decided to go with the white in the end. Well, it's a part of a MOC... Had a go at a crossection for the ship I planned to build, but the project ran out in the sand. So I'm afraid there ain't much more to show then what can be seen from that shot. Regards, Wombat
