    [MOC] Archers Tower

Hello, I want to present you my MOC, which I was reported to Lego Idea program. My main inspiration was Archers Tower from Heroes III. Main goal of my MOC was create set which will be playable. Other thing which was very important to me was achieve old style look with some modern details. If you like my set please visit my Lego ideas site. You can support it or share with your social media. Thank you for your help! Best Regards :)
  2. Military Barracks of the 1st Quinnsville Fusiliers QV11.1 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr Having last visited a large cocoa plantation, Captain Nathaniel Brickford's next course of action was to start assessing the military defenses of Quinnsville. He thought the best place to start would be the barracks of the 1st Quinnsville Fusiliers. QV11.2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr He met with the sergeant in command and called the troops for an inspection. Thankfully for their sakes, the sergeant had been maintaining their regular drills, so the troops didn't even miss a beat. If they had, Captain Brickford would have set them straight. He knew what proper discipline was after his time in the Queen's Royal Guard. QV11.2.2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr QV11.3 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr After inspecting the troops he turned his attention to the barracks themselves. While mildly un-kept, the bunks were made properly and weapons stored correctly, so they got off with only a warning. Dear Captain Jno. Cooke, RN, My beginning assessment of the troops went much better then I expected. I was unsure of how the troops would be without proper leadership, but the 1st Quinnsville Fusiliers have still been doing regular drills under the command of their sergeant. I learned that one of the last things Sir Smaugton did before disappearing was commission the commanding sergeant, and he certain picked the right man for the job. He has kept the troops well disciplined which bodes well for the settlement. I will now move on to the defensive positions of Quinnsville, of which I expect high things. Hopefully they do not disappoint. In service to her Majesty, Captain Nathaniel Brickford, Military Attaché to Quinnsville Another build for Quinnsville! I've been wanting to start focusing on the military side of Quinnsville for a little while, so here is the first build for that section of the settlement. All the photos over on the original Quinnsville settlement thread have returned as well so I was able to figure out the last thing @Tomsche did was purchase a company of troops for Quinnsville. Also, to keep with the lore, I kept his name for them of the 1st Quinnsville Fusiliers. As always, C&C are welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking!
  3. Having limited time and since my LEGO bricks currently need "redeploying" in order to build anything (assuming the baby leaves me time), I am spending a bit more time in LDD. So, while experimenting with the "half stud" technique on walls, I ended up building the following moc. It is an Oleander barracks and prison along with a wall for firing practice (and more ). Nothing fancy considering innovative techniques and stuff but I quite liked the way it ended up. Interior is almost non existent, but for some benches at the prison section. As always, C&C is appreciated!

    [MOC] Four-Towered Castle

After finishing it and creating minifigures I uploaded it to LEGO Ideas which you can find here: Four-Towered Castle It contains some extra information such as piece counts. Feel free to leave a support on the LEGO Ideas site if you like it. 3D Model view here on Sketchfab: Four-Towered Castle The Full Inside view. Note that the castle is made in a "L" shaped layout. The left/West Entrance. Notice the flaps that would allow archers/crossbowmen to fire through and take cover. The inside side of the West entrance. Entrance to the hall from the courtyard/bailey. The alchemy room. With a green substance in a flask and a chandelier below the tall ceiling. The certainly need a ladder here. A tower with a wooden hoarding around it. Crossbows are stored here. The armoury. Along with the stacked sword it has a bed for a soldier here as well. View above the towers. Better view of the catapult and the winch for raising the portcullis. Inside the shack extension. The Great Hall. Turnable fire in the great hall's fireplace. Winch which you can rotate the fire and exterior of the hall. Drawbridge Outside. Gate Inside. Chest room. Stone Sigil. Walkway. Romans with a catapult & Celtic Warriors. Upper view.
  5. Operation KMA was going well. Eslandolan forces landed on Isla de Victoria with no resistance, and Capitan Alonzo and his men had found an excellent location on the large bay on the south side of the island. Construction of a fort commenced in earnest on a flat hilltop overlooking the bay. “This will be a strong gun position” thought Alonzo, “and should protect the settlement and anchorage and command the bay.” Alonzo's second-in-command had nothing but good news in his afternoon report. Troops were cutting down trees all over the place, even still clearing the land for the fort. One palisade wall was up, and the troops were already busy digging the holes for the next wall. Work had not yet begun on the corner bastion, but the cannon was still useful in its current position. The men would be happy that the barracks were finally finished (just finishing up with a coat of whitewash), so his men would not have to camp in tents tonight. Things were progressing quickly, and morale was high. Capitan Alonzo was certain the fort would be completed in record time.
  6. Micro Warcraft 2 I began working on each individual building a few months ago but finally finished assembling the display. The inspiration for this display began when I completed my Warcraft: Orcs and Humans micro last year. I figured it was time to go on to the next game Warcraft II: Tides of Darkness. I started with the human town center and built out the basic buildings of the lumber mill, barracks, blacksmith and the farm. Of course, the build wouldn't be complete without the resources to harvest and the exploding sheep. If you are unfamiliar with the game here are some screen shots. 7. As the fierce struggle against the invading Algus continued, it became obvious that Mitgardia needed to strengthen its defense against the frozen beyond. Thus a new fortress was to be established in the north, to serve as the main bastion against this chilling foe. The construction of such a castle was no small feat, and troops and supplies were rallied from all of Mitgardia. Upon its completion, the great fortress Rekkrfell was manned by the Kylma Katsella. This was built back in April of 2015, and was really too big for the parts and time I had available then. Thus, while there are several sections I really like, I'm not very pleased with the MOC as a whole. There are more pictures available on my website, link. C&C always welcome
  8. Here is my Barracks Phase 3 build for Age of Mitgardia. It was actually made in 2015, but it took me forever to get around to making the other barracks phases. I used SNOT 1x2 tiles for the stone walls, and quite like the stone block texture it gives. Daydelon barracks is a prominent barracks in Mitgardia, and houses from all over the guild send their sons there to be trained as warriors. In fact, it's not overly unusual for citizens of another guild to train for a time in Daydelon. Thanks for looking, your comments are always welcome
  9. Here's my Phase 1 barracks build: Two young Mitgardian soldiers are taught how to defend against multiple enemies by their drillmaster: Thanks for looking
  10. The Mitgardian county of Stormhold was in turmoil. Following the mysterious disappearance of its ruler, Berelan Gryffen, three months ago, the land had quickly fallen into disarray. Mountain bandits and orc clans had begun to raid the villages and there were even reports of Drow in the area. Fear spread among the local people and many considered emigration to other areas of the guild. Crynis Elchafron, Berelan's old friend and trusted ally, finally returned from a scouting mission to report the bad news that Berelan had been abducted by a Drow nobleman, Lord Ravenshelm, and was en route to Nocturnus with an armed guard of Drow and Order of the Dragon soldiers. She had been unable to act on her own, but she was determined to somehow save him. Through messenger birds, she established contact with the Nocturnian Resistance against the Black Spire and its leaders, and pledged her support for the cause. Then the training began. The issue was, Stormhold was a small county of Mitgardia with a fighting force of less than sixty soldiers. When Crynis began recruiting for her army, almost two hundred and fifty hopefuls enlisted, but unfortunately most of them were peasants with little to no fighting skills whatsoever. Help came unexpectedly. A band of northeners arrived in the county one day, having been driven south by the Algus menace. They numbered about forty-five, but were fierce fighters, trained to survive the harshest conditions and willing to act as mercenaries for the small army that was gradually forming. To begin with, each hopeful was assigned to a brief one-on-one sparring session with one of the mercenaries or militiamen, using stout wooden staves as weapons. Crynis herself personally observed each bout to assess whether or not the man had any potential whatsoever. She was currently watching a young peasant, Bjorn by name, face off against a seasoned mercenary, Wilhelm. Bjorn showed some promise, but stood no chance against the experienced soldier. Still, this was only the beginning. And great things can come of small beginnings. [ Sorry for the lengthy backstory. C & C welcome ]
  11. Sir Gareth left Avalonia in hope of uniting the four guilds against the Drow. He currently travels throughout Mitgardia in search of those strong enough and willing to join his cause. It was during these travels, that he discovered a small camp of Huns. Before the warriors willingly swore their loyalty, he challenged them to a test of their strength. While neither bested Sir Gareth, for he is a highly experienced knight, they did impress him. He cheerfully accepted their pledge of allegiance; delighted to recruit such skilled soldiers. I threw this together to show off my brand new Hun Warriors (I finally found a case of CMF Series 12 at Target ) I had a lot of fun building this and writing the story. My favorite part was posing the minifigures, but I enjoyed making the snow too. And finally, those Avalonians, Mitgardians, Kaliphlians, and Nocturnians wanting to join Sir Gareth's cause, please post your pledge of allegiance in the comments. For everyone that does, I will try to build a vignette of Sir Gareth meeting your character. The colours of Sir Gareth's flag are dark green, green, and red, as his army currently consists of Avalonians, Mitgardians, and Nocturnians. But as Kaliphlians join, I will add dark blue. Historica united can defeat the Drow once and for all! C&C are welcome!

    Imperial Barracks

[pid][/pid] 244A This is my first build in the Pirate theme. It was a lot of fun to build and I plan to do lots more Pirate builds. The barracks has a full interior, and the doors can open. The Imperial Barracks sits on a corner of the Imperial Fort. Any C&C appreciated.
  13. After several months of construction, and a lot of hard work, the full barracks is finally complete. It comes with a full outfit of 12 soldiers, 2 Non-Coms and 2 Officers. Here it is in all of its glory. Here we see Lord Jakon, freshly arrived to inspect the facility, being greeted by it's commander. Here is a sergeant, surveying the yard. It was at this point that the dwarf realized that clearing snow with an axe would not be as fun as it sounded. The entrance, being guarded by two soldiers. Two mercenaries have decided to join up with a guild, and become legitimate soldiers. A sergeant is making sure that this new recruit is up to snuff. A soldier clears the roof of the armory/storehouse of snow. two logs, stacked, ready to be burnt. The inside of the top story. This is my axe, there are many like it, but this one is mine, my axe is my best friend... The inside of the bottom story, with two dwarves gambling. The bottom story with all furniture removed. The inside of the top story, with all furniture removed. Thats all folks! C&C please! UoP credits claimed: Architecture: Roofing Military Science: Fortification Anthropology: Life in Mitgardia
  14. Fast forward a year, the village has become a town, and with the extra people, and extra trade, the guard must expand the keep up. The newbie is now an excellent swordsman, and has even earned a cloak for himself, befitting his skill level. His old comrade is hard at work training the new recruits. A fresh recruit, learning the basics of swordsmanship A spearman practicing under the watchful eye of his mentor Some recruits advance faster than others, nowhere is this more apparent than in the sparring ring Arm strength is very important, and this recruit is working hard to keep it up Every good Mitgardian has a pile of dangerous weapons somewhere, these are no different! An arhitect and a quartermaster talk over the plans for the new barracks I would also like to claim UoP credits for the following subjects: Landscape Design: Snow and Ice General Building: Minifigure Posing Military Science: Military Camp
  15. The first sight Elon's showing to his grandsons is Ebronahr, a barrack of the Ebronah. The general already expected them and is welcoming them with a meal. Elijah is eager to fight one of the Ebronah and Albion has made up lots of questions about the strategic location of the barrack. Welcoming Meal Beds Weaponry Overview

    Tolswick Barracks

A new MOC for my small town of Tolswick. As it is only a small farming town it has no walls around it, so it needs good guards. This is the first part of the Tolswick defense project. Also, as I haven't made a MOC in a while, I was just trying to use new techniques like the shield on the front and the grey brick pattern. FRONT: Note the gold studs round the window. I used a headlight brick backwards to do it. Another new technique for me. SIDE: BOTTOM FLOOR: Here is a guard training with a troll dummy while a Tolswick Ranger watches. The guard will be scared when he finds out real trolls move . UPPER FLOOR: Here is a guard having a quick nap while off duty. And yes those are beds from the burrow, that's where most pieces for this MOC come from.
