  1. After deadline version: - darker text - greener ESL arms - black SR torso Previous update: (text) (no text) Thanks all who have contributed with suggestions! If you've got any more let me hear 'em! Original post: Here's my take on a banner so far! I would really like some minifigures on it. Guy's Uncle seems like a logical candidate for Eslandola, I'm going to try to photograph him today on a nice white background and edit that. However I need some from other factions. So if you've either got a good, solid color background photo of a well-known Corry, Sea Rat, or Oleander lying around already or are willing to take one for me, I'd be grateful! And of course, any suggestions are welcome. Is "the" too hard to read? Should I go textless and fill up the extra space with minifigures? How's the dual color effect for the sigils? C@C appreciated!
  2. It's what it says on the tin really guys. I want new graphics to match the new banner size. I have some helpers waiting in the wings once I decide on the theme for the new banner image. I just need to know what you lot think! Have a vote, drop your opinion in here and discuss. Edit - Now that the All Themes option has won, I need to know minifigure choices! Who do you think should feature in the banner?

    [MOC] Four-Towered Castle

After finishing it and creating minifigures I uploaded it to LEGO Ideas which you can find here: Four-Towered Castle It contains some extra information such as piece counts. Feel free to leave a support on the LEGO Ideas site if you like it. 3D Model view here on Sketchfab: Four-Towered Castle The Full Inside view. Note that the castle is made in a "L" shaped layout. The left/West Entrance. Notice the flaps that would allow archers/crossbowmen to fire through and take cover. The inside side of the West entrance. Entrance to the hall from the courtyard/bailey. The alchemy room. With a green substance in a flask and a chandelier below the tall ceiling. The certainly need a ladder here. A tower with a wooden hoarding around it. Crossbows are stored here. The armoury. Along with the stacked sword it has a bed for a soldier here as well. View above the towers. Better view of the catapult and the winch for raising the portcullis. Inside the shack extension. The Great Hall. Turnable fire in the great hall's fireplace. Winch which you can rotate the fire and exterior of the hall. Drawbridge Outside. Gate Inside. Chest room. Stone Sigil. Walkway. Romans with a catapult & Celtic Warriors. Upper view.

    banners and display items!

hello! i work at a small independent toy shop and while clearing out our old stock room we found a load of shop display items! we have various banners and a few giant mini figures bags (filled with foam i think?) is there much demand for this sort of thing or is trying to sell it a waste of time?
  5. This is a challenging task to me -- to explain what is Chinese New Year to non-Chinese. To put it in short, the Chinese New Year in 2014 starts on January 31. It is the Year of the Horse. (For your reference, 12 animals take turn to represent a particular year.) Chinese people would like to hang red banner, with words of luck/ fortune/ etc, on walls. I am no exception but I rather make it with LEGO but not ordinary paper... The Chinese character is "LUCK" in English. Another custom is the presentation of a candy box. Chinese New Year is a big festival and it is a high time for children to take as many candies as they wish. The Chinese character on the cover of the candy box is "HORSE" in English. Before I place candies into the box, instead I put some pearl gold bricks in the middle. Chinese people would hope to make a big fortune in the coming year and so they would like to see gold elsewhere in this festival. In the meantime, I also put 4 LEGO tangerines. In the Chinese language, the word "tangerine" sounds the same as "luck". Thank you for watching. Wish everyone healthy and fruitful in the coming year!!!

Displaced by a Magical Monsoon the Hillarwi Tribe were uprooted from their homes in the plains of AfriKania and transported thousands of miles to the other side of the continent. a Band of around 100 warriors, women and their kin were thrust into an alien environment. Navigating by the stars they are desperate to reach home. Forced to live as Nomads everywhere they go they chant their infamous battle cry "We're the Hillarwi! We're The Hillarwi! Trying to get home! We're the Hillarwi!" Left to Right Mkhungo -Zulu Brave Intontela - Musician Isangoma - The Witch Doctor Shaka Diiygane - Chieftain Ubulawayo - Standard Bearer Mbube - Champion -- The Brickarms uclips and brickwarriors scrolls make great tattered flags and sails too! I moced a small raft which then got cannibalised for parts but I hope to rebuild it. It's particularly effective with a mix of black and white scrolls and uclips. :) Plenty of themes used in this one PotC Chima Agents Harry Potter Super Heroes Indiana Jones LOTR CMF Series 10 Priates Custom Houses Brick Warriors Brickarms Christo V&A Steamworks
