    [MOC] The Station of Memories

Hi all, This is my first post so I'll quickly introduce myself : Alex B. Sign, dad x2, judo practiser and AFOL. Thank you for accepting me in your creative community ! I'd like to share with you my MOC I've uploaded on Lego Idea website : The Station of Memories. The Station of Memories is a metaphor of past memories, when the family was gathering for special family events. It is a place out of time, another space-time in which everyone can connect and remember part of his/her life, out of the current everyday life. This is a simple and small family train station located in a pretty countryside little town. Please see samples below (very low quality). You'll find more details and more pics (better quality) about the concept on the Lego Ideas website here I hope you'll enjoy this concept ! If you like it you can support on Lego Ideas Website. [LDD MOCs] imvanya's sports cars

So for some reason I have been building sports car after sports car lately, and while most of them ended up looking rather bad, some turned out pretty well like this one. Of course the front would look suspiciously familiar to some of you, but you have to admit that it is a really good way to build a sporty front. The rear end is inspired by McLaren MP4-12C, but is quite a bit blockier Comments are welcome and feel free to download the .lxf As the topic is now quite large and I might add a few more cars to it, I decided to add an index of the cars:
  3. As some of you may know, I already have a topic for my sport cars. Why not have another one for regular city cars? The latest LEGO Ideas contest "BUILD A VINTAGE CAR TO CRUISE THE STREETS OF LEGO® MODULAR BUILDINGS!" was a perfect occasion to get back to building after a break. After all, 6-wide cars is what I mainly build, so why not take a shot at a contest? Choosing a subject matter for an entry was the first step. In the end, I (like many others) decided to build a delivery truck. I was able to complete it in about a week, and looking back at it, I think I may have overcomplicated things as I tend to. Anyway, I am really pleased with the end result, especially with the shaping of the fenders. It fits one minifig, 3 crates and a hand truck. The roof and the hood are detachable, and there's a brick-built V engine. Comments and critique are welcome. The model is available at Mecabricks, or you can download an .lxf file. Finally, if you like the model, please feel free to vote for this entry. Thank you!

    [MOC] Lion Pub

Hi everyone I'm new here in the forum and like to share my first MOC which I have been working on over the last 3 months. I build the MOC with BrickLink Studio 2.0 and used the new Eyesight Render for my images. I love the modular building sets from Lego but I missed the detail level on the upper floors. According to this I decide to design and build a more detailed modular building with more minifigures than the regular ones from lego. This building represents a classic British pub with a lot of typical details like a British cab, a London phone box, a classical English pub facade with a lot of flowers and much more. The modular style building with 3 floors and an accessible roof is built on a 32x32 base plate and contains 32 minifigures and approximately 6000 parts. Level 1 - Bar The first floor contains the main bar area of the pub and small full-featured restroom with toilet, urinal and lavatory. Outside there are bar tables and a red phone box. Minifigures Craftsman enjoying his after-work beer Bobby (Police Officer) on patrol Barkeeper and owner of the Lion Pub Regular guest who enjoys his retirement Best friends enjoy their free evening Level 2 – Gambling room The second floor features a gambling room complete with a pool table, poker corner and dart board. There is also a balcony on the back side to the backyard. Minifigures Young couple play a game of pool Office worker playing a game of darts Student can't keep his hands off gambling Housewife practices her passion at the poker table Professional poker player Level 3 – Live Music The third floor features a stage for live music, a small bar and a second full-featured restroom. Minifigures Punk who also loves Rock'n'Roll Aging hippie Piano player Elvis imitator and musician Groupie Barmaid Businessman enjoys a cool pint Champagne connoisseur and music lover Level 4 – Rooftop Party The last level offers space for a roof top party with a sitting corner under the overgrown pergola, bar tables, barbecue and DJ. Minifigures Man enjoying the delicious Hotdogs Barbecue chef Security DJane Female dancer Boyfriend of the female dancer Bestfriends start the evening with prosecco Celebrity couple Cab / Taxi Last but not least, the MOC offers a Classic London Cab heavily influenced by the "TFL Classic London Cab Taxi" from bamsham363 Minifigures Businessman treats himself to a pint Taxi driver Thanks very much for reading and I hope you like my first MOC. There are more pictures on Bricksafe and feel free to support my MOC on Rebrickable and let me know what you think. At the moment I am building my MOC with real Lego bricks. As soon as possible I will post any photos of the real lego building.

  8. Here is my review on the latest people pack: THE GOOD: Rubber duck! Excellent accessories! Ordered a bunch from brick & pieces already. All attractions are functional despite being small. The MULLET! hair piece! Lots of new torso designs! New printed pieces!!! THE NOT SO GOOD: Slightly over priced. $10 cheaper would be nice. Still have printing issue on dark colour for one of the torso =( Overall, I think it's an excellent people pack. So many new elements with this pack. (The ducks, new torso and new printed pieces) Great to see some new colours of hair and the return of the mullet. What impressed me though is that all small builds are functional attractions. Love how the hammer game is designed and built. The only issue is this set does not come cheap. I would love to get multiples of this set but the price is high in that case so will have to wait until clearance for that to happen. However, I still recommend you get hold on one because this is a great set.

    [MOC] Vintage Bus

This moc is for LEGO Ideas contest "BUILD A VINTAGE CAR TO CRUISE THE STREETS OF LEGO® MODULAR BUILDINGS!" . I will design several more for this contest :D https://ideas.lego.com/challenges/bafd4186-bb49-4eb0-903f-910415f04391/application/b6555ceb-20f9-45fa-b9b5-1a3bde99ec42 In the old days, not many people owned a car. Bus was important transportation for people. So a vintage bus should be included in every Lego city. The vintage bus I designed has many playable features. The engine hood, passenger, driver, and back door can be opened. I also added a luggage rack on the top of the bus. Some passengers' accessories were placed on the rack, including two cute pigs. The vintage bus dimension is 6x18x8 bricks. I hope you will like my bus :D My other MOC models: [MOC] Vintage Stylish Convertible [MOC] Vintage Bus [MOC] Halloween Pumpkin Horse Carriage [MOC] ISUZU NPR Light Duty Truck [MOC] Karsan Jest Mini-Bus [MOC] Ford F150 XLT [MOC] London Double Decker Bus Dennis Enviro 400 [MOC] Lada VAZ-2105 [MOC] Subaru WRX [MOC] Classic Cadillac Convertible [MOC] Toyota 6th Gen. Modular 2.0

I've always been a fan of the modular buildings, and intend to build a layout that relies heavily on them. Unfortunately, I have never liked the standard way they interact with roads. The Lego road baseplates have several rows of studs on their outer edges, leading to the weird practice of most people's Lego cities having a random rough strip of land between the roads and the city center buildings. Add this to the fact that the roads themselves don't actually connect in a modular fashion. My first thought was just to have smaller baseplates with tilled roads. Whilst this works, I'd have to add an extra plate to the underside of *every* modular build to allow for the 1 plate height difference between the road and the pavement, and it still wouldn't actually result in a road attached to the rest of the city. My second thought was, what if I just remove the baseplates as they are currently aligned, and attach the font of each modular set to the side of the road plates. This solves the lose road issue, but results in a very difficult to disassemble city (something I've needed to do at least once a year). It also still has the downside of taking apart the bottom over every modular set, but I've kind of resigned myself to that. Still not happy, I stumbled upon a youtube video of micro scale modular cities, which included the road in each modular segment. Whilst not the perfect solution (for ease of reconfiguration, I'd like the roads completely separable) id did point me in the best direction to go forward. Using standard modular base ideas (as seen in yet more youtube videos) I've come up with a range of 'standard' and easily swapable bases, plus square road segments of various configurations. The logical plan is to base the system on the standard base plate widths (8, 16 and 32 studs). Unless I wanted extremely wide roads, I found that the only sensible width would be 16 studs. I could use the 8x16 tiles, but I don't want to have to add road markings, plus I liked the idea of having grills built into the road. The bases are basically hollow, with enough support to stop them sagging in the middle. And here's an example of how a section of city would look (minus the actual buildings). I've not yet got as far as considering how I'll squeeze my beloved railways into this system yet, but that'll be the next job (and the job I will *have* to do before I even think of actually using this). One advantage I see is when I have to disassemble my city, I'll be able to easily use things like stations as display settings for my trains without radically dismantling them. As usual, suggestions, feedback and criticisms are welcomed and encouraged.

Hello, everyone. My name is Denis, I'm 25 years old, and I have really bed English, sorry. Lego was a favorite toy/game in my childhood, but after 15 y.o. i start to move and work in different cities and countries, so have no time to create and volume in bags to take Lego with me. After some years I found LDD and start to create some virtual models. Now I have no PC for few mouns, and it's time to get some theoretical knowledge about how other peoples build they own MOC's I will post some my old models in train and city category. Preview:

  13. Here is my review on 60207 Sky Police Drone Chase: THE GOOD: The drone is surprisingly good. The pilot visor and breather piece is good for customer figures. Printed logo on the helicopter's tail! THE NOT SO GOOD: The status helmet gold does not match the 'gold' of the rest of the figure. The canopy piece doesn't close completely, too much space around. Overall, I think it's an okay set. I really bought this for the statue for other purposes but the drone turns out to be a nice surprise. Recommend if you are a police theme fans otherwise I would say get the parts you want via Brick & Pieces.

  15. Hi Everyone I'd like to share my first MOC design which I've been working on over the past few weeks. I decided to set myself a challenge to see if I could create a Modular building using just the parts taken from 3 of my existing sets. All the parts I used were taken from the 3 Creator sets above, 31036, 31050 and 31065. The only extra thing I added was a green 16 x 32 baseplate but apart from that, everything else is taken from those 3 sets. So here is my very first MOC - The Modular Convenience Store As you can see the model is 16 studs wide and is designed to fit in with the Modular building series. There are 3 levels and although it's essentially one building, I wanted to give the impression from the outside that it consists of 2 narrow buildings side by side with the main shop on the left and the tall blue section to the right. Level 1 - The Convenience Store The first level of the building is the Convenience Store itself. Outside on the front we have a bench, street lamp, flower display and a fire hydrant. The main door at at the base of the blue tower gives access to the inside of the store. Inside the store there is a cash desk, fruit and vegetables and shelves with various items for sale. I also built a small shooping trolley for the minifigs to use with their shopping. A door at the back of the store gives access to the rear of the building. At the back is a staircase leading to the second level. Level 2 - Apartment On the middle level is an apartment / studio flat. On the outside is a large Bay window and a door with a Juliet balcony looking out on to the street below. The inside of the apartment is pretty small but I have managed to squeeze in a kithcen, TV, bed, lamp, shelves, table and stool. Level 3 and Roof Outside again the only way for the minifigs to reach the next level is via a ladder on the back of the building. The top level consists of a small building and a roof top garden. The roof top building is extremely small (6 x 4 studs) but the roof can be removed and inside is a table with binoculars, a lamp and a brick built sweeping brush hanging on the wall. A door from this small building leads out in to the roof top garden. Here we have a BBQ, seat, plants and a glass covered vegetable patch. Displaying the Model Here are a selection of pics showing the model on display alongside Parisian Restaurant and Assembly Square. Thanks for reading and I hope you like the model, feel free to let me know what you think. [MOC] THE QUEEN BRICKTORIA PUB

Hi everyone I'd like to share with you my second MOC which I have been working on over the past few weeks. For this project I decided to tackle a subject very close to my heart - the Great British Pub! So without further ado... Grab yourself a pint and join me for a guided tour of The Queen Bricktoria! As you can see this is a modular style corner building with 3 floors built on a 32x32 base plate. The design is intended to be reminiscent of British town centre pubs or more specifically the style of pubs we'd see in London. The Minifigures There are 7 minifigs with the model. The 3 characters below are the pub workers. From left to right we have the Owner/Landlord and his daughter the barmaid. The guy with the guitar is a local singer who has been booked to play a gig at the pub. The 4 figures below are the pub regulars. The guy with the beard is the typical sort of old gent we find in many pubs propping up the bar and boring everyone to death with their stories of the good old days. The guy in the green top and the girl are boyfriend and girlfriend. Level 1 - The Bar Outside the building we have a busy street corner. I've included an iconic British red phone box and an outside covered seating area. There is also a sign board advertising events etc at the pub. The main entrance leads us in to the bar/lounge area. Inside we have a well stocked bar and a cozy fireplace. There are also tables and bar stool for the minifigs to sit and enjoy their drinks. Brown carrots make pretty good beer pump handles. At the back of the bar is a staircase leading us up to level 2. Level 2 - Pool and Darts Room On the second level is a games room featuring a Pool table and Dart board. There is also a pool cue rack and a shelf with trophies won by the resident darts team. At the back of the room is another staircase that leads to level 3. Level 3 - Live Music Room Level 3 has a stage for Live Music gigs and Karaoke. On the stage we have a keyboard, guitar, amps and microphone. Also on this level is more seating for the minifigs and a door that leads to a small balcony seating area. Oh dear!!! The singer seems to be a bit of a hit with the ladies. The Finished Model Here is a picture of the Queen Bricktoria next to my first MOC design, The Convenience store, as you can see my new MOC is much much bigger. Another picture below shows the pub next to one of the official modulars, to help give a sense of the size of the model. Thanks very much for reading and I hope you like my newest MOC. There are more pictures of it on my Flickr page so feel free to check them out and let me know what you think.

    City 7242 Street Sweeper

Hey Everybody, I want to show you a Review of LEGO City 7242 Street Sweeper:
  22. Hi, The following pictures are a write up on flickr about how Cars/Motorbikes were designed fitting in the "classic Town" concept from 1978 over the years since the introduction of the minifig. Now while some say "car moccing" and "classic Town" are two different things, actually, i have good reason to believe they are one and the same. Cars will always influence the scale, detail and vibe of a town. Since they are the "tough nut" to crack building wise in any layout given the limited space, i worked on these ideas for over 4 years with several attempts (going from 8 wide to 4 wide even) of getting it to fit well with each other. Along the way i discovered several new techniques i want to present here swiftly, which might be inspirational despite whatever approach is made or desired. I might also use this thread to post more or more detailed shots of techniques that can be very useful if there is a fair demand for it (rendering takes long^^) Have fun, click for larger views through the pictures on my flickr account (simply click on the first pic and then move to your left on flickr). no 1 / 13 by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr no 2 /13 by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr no 3 /13 by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr no 4 /13 by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr no 5 /13 by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr no 6 /13 by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr no 7 /13 by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr no 8 /13 by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr no 9 /13 by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr no 10 /13 by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr no 11 /13 by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr no 12 /13 by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr no 13 /13 by Ron Dayes, auf Flickr

  24. Hello, folks! It is with great satisfaction that I finally present the result of my most complete and detailed work that I have done to this day in the hobby: the reproduction of the old building of the Santa Casa de Misericórdia of Juiz de Fora-MG, dated 1900. There were 310h of assembling, distributed in almost 2 years of planning, more than 32000 pieces used in a work with dimensions of 1, 67cm x 0, 98cm x 0, 51cm, weighing about 35kg. I tried to follow the minifigure scale and reproduce, with the building solutions that I could find or develop, the maximum details of the building of the time aiming to accomplish the greatest visual impact possible to the public. Having this concept as a focus, I transformed a work into two, with two completely different points of view. From the front, we can observe the classic hospital building, whole and imposing. Behind it, a cut in the building shows its fragmented interior in different environments and depicting scenes from the old days in a very lively manner. We can perceive in the center a meeting of the Brotherhood, a common group that governs all the Santa Casas, in the Ombudsman's room with a sample of typical furniture of the time, as well as in the corridors of access to the surgical center, wards and pharmacy. The motivation that led me to reproduce another historical building with LEGO pieces continues to be the awakening of the collective consciousness to the importance of preserving the historical heritage and its cultural legacy. Unfortunately the building reproduced no longer exists, but that isn’t a reason not to value its history and memory. However, for this case, a special motivation facilitated the work: the celebration of the 165 years of the founding of the Santa Casa de Misericórdia of Juiz de Fora and the 170 years of the city of Juiz de Fora-MG, my beloved homeland. The next step, as laborious as building the sculpture, will be organizing an exhibition inside the hospital that shows not only LEGO pieces, but also its playful potential to inspire people to know their own story. [MOC] Mercenary Truck

Armored Mercenary Van A while ago i was surfing through the Internet and was kinda curios what other Brick / Clone Brands have to offer. My Eyes fell on an interesting looking SWAT Van from the Clone Brand Enlighten. I really liked the overall Design of the Vehicle and so i started searching for better Pictures to pull off a daring Move: Cloning a Clone Brand Set :D Of course without actual Instructions i only could guess what`s underneath but i think i did a pretty neat Job.I added some Details here and there like Clips in the rear Compartment that hold two Guns and a working Driveshaft / Rear Axle with Technic Pieces. Towards the End of the build i noticed that i don`t have 3 black Roof Plates so i used one with a cool looking Sticker. So now it`s a Lego Mercenary Truck completely made from danish Bricks that are compatible to most Clone Brands :D 20170515_130533 20170515_130601 20170515_130615 20170515_130634 20170515_130656 20170515_130714 20170515_130825 20170515_130837 20170515_131048 20170515_130853 So,how do you like my Version?
